Going from my last post, I think some of you need to study your geography a little more. NYC is very far away from Canada. NEW YORK STATE IS NOT NEW YORK CITY!!! *cough* NYC is just a city WITHIN the state of NY. NYC is at the very itty bitty bottom of the state towards Long Island. It’s a good 8-12 hours to get to Canada from NYC. Don’t fend for these stupid people guys, they’re truly…stupid. No excuses for asking me whether it was the USA or Canadian price. NONE! Question of the Day: What is the funniest anime and/or manga you have read/watched. *sorry Shishou, I’m stealing this question from you.XP* My Answer: Ouran High School Host Club. I’ve truly never laughed harder with any anime then that one. Ah, nothing better then trying to sleep in on your first day off from work only to be awoken by an obnoxiously loud gospel church down the street. Gotta love it.>_< I think I should hang a sign on their door: ‘Thou shalt not annoy thy neighbors and wake them up on their days off….hither.’ Other then that, it was really hott today. I enjoyed it. I still made hot coffee too and my roommate thought I was nuts. Like she’s one to talk, neh? I think her boyfriend has been drinking my coffee. *glares daggers* How dare he drink my hazelnut coffee! I played a bunch of Kingdom Hearts 2. Oh, the endless joy of that game. I think I just like playing Atlantica to hear Sora sing, Under the Sea. Heehee! Oh, on the bus the other day, I saw this lady wearing sandals and she had really loooong toenails. It was gross. She had them painted white too like she was showing them off. I don’t think I’d call long toenails a good thing to strut around. AH! I loved this part in Ouran! Oh Tamaki…you are such a sweetie. A spazz… but still a spazz with a heart of gold.^_^

I was walking down the street and I saw such an Asian hottie. He had the face that was masculine yet feminine at the same time and who was the first anime character I thought of with this combo?…yep, Yuki-kun from Fruits Basket. Slap on some lavender eyes and a purply-gray wig, and he could have been Yuki. It was pleasant. Question of the Day: Is the glass half empty or half full? My Answer: I try to look at the positive side of things so…half full.^^ So, I think I may have had one of the dumbest questions asked to me today. You ready for this? A lady comes up to me with a book in her hand and she points to the price on the back and she asks, “Which price is it? The USA or Canadian one?” O_o…O_o…O_o….*smacks forehead to the point of knocking self unconscious.* okay…lady…DUMBEST QUESTION EVER!!! What freakin’ country do you live in?! I hope you realize you’re not living in Canada! Of course it’s the price that says USA next to it! I wish I could count how many brain cells popped at that question. That’s cutting right into that other lady who asked where the music section was and when I told her we had no music section she asks, “Are you sure?” Yeah, I only WORK here. Gaw. For those who keep pointing out in my pictures from Ouran High School Host Club, that the little blonde boy in the picture looks like Momiji well, you’re right! He’s just like Momiji…he even carries a stuffed animal bunny rabbit with him! His name is Hunny though and he’s actual the oldest person there! Heehee! Don’t piss him off though. He’s frightful if you do! Question of the Day: Do you have any pets? My Answer: Yes, here in the city I have 3 very old goldfishes and back home I have a Doberman pincher doggie who’s my little baby.^^ At work today there were a couple kids playing with squirt guns in our store. Yes, squirt guns around BOOKS! Not just any books though, they were in the manga section. I saw them and called my manager, who you all have started nicknaming, Kakashi Dave.XP And he came running upstairs to the section and just yelled, “WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?!” Oh man, the look on those kid’s faces was priceless. Just total…O_O. Kakashi Dave told them to get their butts out of the store NOW and then as they were leaving he asks them, “Are you guys idiots or just plain stupid?!” Heehee…Dave is so subtle.XD Tenshi Ja Nai Volume 3, Black Cat Volume 3 and Gorgeous Carat Volume 2 came to our store the other day! YAY! I so bought them. Tenshi Ja Nai I’ve been waiting forever for since they kept pushing back the release date of it. Feh! I have to open tomorrow at work. Waaaah!! So I have to be up by 5am. *mopes* So, I’m going to blow dry my hair and I’m off to bed. Question of the Day: What anime do you think has the best soundtrack? My Answer: Inuyasha…totally. A close 2nd would have to be Black Cat. I love soundtracks that are instrumental rather then “midi” tracks. I swept and mopped my room today and then dusted everything including all my figurines so now they’re all sparkly. I cleaned my fishy tank too. My fishes are happy now.^^ I played KH2 for a few hours and with those who have played it, have you went into Valor form and turned into the crazy black heartless-looking Sora? Where did that come from? It’s pretty cool since Sora goes all cat-like on everyone using claws rather then his keyblades…interesting. I got to see Cloud and Sephiroth too and I squealed a little. Too bad Kadaj isn’t in it…maybe in Kingdom Hearts 3… In about a month, I’m going to be moving back to upstate NY. YAY!!! I don’t think I told you guys that but yeah, I’m moving out of NYC mid-July and transferring to a Barnes&Noble near home. Thank goodness. I can’t handle the city anymore. I’m going to miss my coworkers though! I wish I could take them with me. Question of the Day: What’s one thing that drives you nuts? My Answer: Those dang Nextel phones!!! You know, those cell phones that are also walkie talkies and they make that annoying-ass beeping noise every time one uses it and the person on the other end can never understand what the person on the opposite end is saying so they have to keep saying “WHAT?!” as their voices progressively get louder interrupting and disturbing everyone around them? Yes…I HATE those phones! Feh!!! *breathes* Anyway, I had a relaxing day today. I forgot to mention that it’s employee appreciation week at Barnes&Noble so all us employees got an additional 10% off are already 30% employee discount. I ended up buying 4 new mangas and 3 CD’s and my total was only about $50! Sa-weet! I was going to start a new drawing this weekend but I needed to have some “me” time after my hellish last week. I played Kingdom Hearts 2 for a loooooong time and then I read, played more KH2, had some wine, watched more Ouran High School Host Club…yes, so pleasantly relaxing. My roommate is convinced we have a ghost living in our apartment. Meh, I normally would believe it, but…you know, my roomy is pretty koo-koo so it’s hard to take her seriously. *serves her cocoa puffs* You know what I realized? It’s been over a year since the last time I was sick! The last time I was sick with any kind of virus or bug was May of 2005. I remember because I got a nasty cold the week I was moving home from college. I have a tough system. If I were a computer…man, everyone would want me! Holy buckets! Thanks everyone for all your wonderful comments on my last drawing! *blushes* And I got 84 comments on my last post too. Sheesh! Anywho, if you haven’t seen it yet and wish to, here’s a linky-poo to my drawing: Loads of people asked me how I did the wings in the drawing, it was pretty easy actually. Since I used gray paper, that makes you have to add your own white highlights so all I did was go through really quickly and just add the flicks of white parts in the feathers. Then I outlined them with black colored pencil, then went in with the blue, then lavender, then black again to define it. It really didn’t take too long, it just takes patience.^^ Anywho, a lot happened in the 3 days I wasn’t here but I wont kill you guys with all the details so here’s the condensed version: Wednesday was one of my worst days of work EVER! By the end of the night, I hated the entirety of the human race and was *this* close to going to a bar with a coworker to get totally drunk off my ass to feel better. But…I didn’t. The day after and the day after that were just as crappy and was getting to the point where I wanted to glare at every New York City-er and ask them why they’re such impatient a-holes. But…I always hope there’s light at the end of the tunnel and EUREKA! There was. My best pals from home, Gavin, Tyler, and Howard surprised me by letting me know they were going to be chaperoning an art club trip to NYC and was hoping I could meet with them. So, I ran to Times Square and nearly cried since I was so happy to see them. We had a blast even though there was a totally random downpour but my pal, Gavin, was a gentleman and gave me his hat to wear to keep the rain from dripping down my face. It was his beloved Indiana Jones hat too. It was WAY too big on me but it’s the thought that counts. We later got to see a totally drunk man staggering down the road and then he took his coat off, threw it on the ground and started to dance around it like a sombrero. That was entertaining. And then my pals left and I was sad but happy that I got to see them and thus ends the summary. Sorry no quote or question of the day, my post is already long enough! Anywho, I had quite a few requests for more Ouran High School Host Club pictures and I have a plethora of them, so I will post more. And yes, there is an anime based on this manga. It’s amazing! *pets it*

I finished the D.N.Angel drawing! Yeehaw. Just click the thumby to take you to the biggie and it will open in a new windowy: I tried a new style with that one just for the hay of it. The whole thing was done on textured gray paper rather then smooth white paper so that was a challenge. I think the gray paper gives it a more “dreamy” feel, neh? And like I said on the drawing, it’s not intended to be yaoi. People who have seen/read D.N.Angel know that Dark and Daisuke are actually the same person, so I was touching up on that. But hey, if you want it to be yaoi, then feel free to imagine it as such.^_~ Anywho, comments always are appreciated^_^ I didn’t do much today rather then finish the drawing. I went grocery shopping so I have food again. YAY FOOD! Why is cereal so freakin’ expensive? And why are the cereal bags so hard to open?! I bought some Trix and man, it took me forever to open that bag. Silly rabbit making a fool out of me!! *shakes fist* And I also bought a case of that 7UP Plus soda. Anyone else ever had it? I drank one and yummy yumm! I love how it brags on the case that it contains 10% fruit juice. Wow…10%? Makes me wonder what the other 90% is. Question of the Day: Do you have any siblings and if so, how many? My Answer: Aye, I have 2 older brothers and an older sister who are significantly older then me. Yep…I was the “oops” baby. More Ouran High School Host Club!! I love this manga and anime! And for those who think the brunette haired one in the foreground looks like a girl well…it is! Heehee. My fave character is Tamaki. The blonde, lavender eyed hunk. Man, my obsession with lavender eyed characters is getting out of hand. I love Tamaki though! I enjoy how he’s so suave and sophisticated around the ladies but as soon as they’re gone, he’s a total spazz.XD

Some of you got yesterday’s riddle, some of you didn’t…or, I should say, some of you had already heard the answer.^_~ Anyway, the riddle yesterday was: There are 2 U.S. coins combined that total $0.30 and one of them is not a nickel. How is this possible? Answer: Here are 2 U.S. coins combined that equal $0.30 and one is not a nickel, *holds up one quarter and one nickel* See…*holds out quarter* ONE is not a nickel. Boo-ya! Question of the Day: What’s something that makes you shudder? My answer: Hair when it’s off the head. Like when I clean out my hairbrush or take out the wholly mammoth of hair from the bathtub…*shudder* I HATE that and it makes me gag and I don’t know why. My D.N.Angel drawing is coming close to completion. Dark and Daisuke are all done, I’m just working on Dark’s wings right now and I’m actually getting through them really quick. Heehee!! I’m listening to my iTunes library and the song Inuyasha sings with Kagome singing backup just started playing. *dances* Sing Inuyasha, SING! Anywho, while working on said drawing above, I remembered a random funny moment in my life that I think deserves sharing. This happened back in college, by the way. So, my friends decided to drag me to see the premiere of The Matrix 2(not a Matrix fan) and that day just happened to be the 21st birthday of one of the guys on my floor so him and his group of buddies, decided to get totally drunk and go see The Matrix 2 premiere as well. So, we’re in the theater and a trailer for Finding Nemo starts to play, and do you guys remember that part where the pelican smashes into the window? Well, that part happened in the trailer and one of the drunk guys just yells, “HA!!! Stupid fucking duck!!” LOL! All the people in the theater just burst out laughing. Oh man…you know you’ve had one too many when you can’t tell the difference between a pelican and a duck. I had downloaded X-Men 3 and watched it today. It was pretty good. I’m glad I didn’t pay to see it though.^_~ Question of the Day is actually a riddle: There are 2 U.S. coins combined that total $0.30 and one of them is not a nickel. How is this possible? My Answer: Well, I already know the answer but let’s see if any of YOU guys can figure it out. I’ll post the answer tomorrow. I’m evil.^^ I started a new drawing today. It’s D.N.Angel! Whee! I had an urge to draw something with wings and what’s more wingy then D.N.Angel? I’m actually doing it on gray paper and using a whole new method to color this one in so I hope it turns out well. It’s looking pretty good so far but it may take me a few more days till I finish it. Bah. In my last post when I mentioned the book I just finished that involves the dark elf and human who are in love with each other, loads of people asked me the title of it and to describe it. Well, this is a really REALLY long set of books so there are MANY titles and far too many stories to sum up. The author, R.A.Salvatore has written a whole series based on the dark elf, Drizzt Do’Urden and his adventures. He always writes the books in sets of 3 and I’ve lost count to how many trilogies make up this set that revolves around this character. The set of book where he finally kisses the girl he’s in love with, is the ‘Hunter’s Blade’ trilogy which is his latest ones but…he’s going to be making more! *shakes fist* That’s how they lure you into these things, neh? And I have ANOTHER freakin’ mouse in my apartment!!! Damnit Yuki!!! Stop letting your relatives chill out here!! This is by an artist named Anna Rigby and this is probably one of the most accurate images of how they describe Drizzt in the series: *cough*…yeah, he’s swoon-worthy…very good-looking and with a heart of gold. Sorry you had to see a half naked dark elf there my Otaku male friends.XP

Well, my question from yesterday’s post was answered about the titles that certain members here get. I just went to Adam’s site(the owner of myO) and it’s explained there. So now I know why some I’m considered an Otaku Legend. *grabs bow and arrow to follow Lordsesshomaru’s sword* Question of the Day: What’s your favorite fantasy/mythological creature? My Answer: Elves…duh.^_~ But Tolkien styled elves. The total kick-ass fighters that are ever-so beautiful and graceful at the same time. *le sigh* I finished another book today. Again, I feel accomplished. I was so happy with the ending to this book too. It’s part of a long running series and there’s these 2 characters, a drow elf and a human girl who throughout the entire series, are so head over heels over each other but they never do anything about it or express their true feelings and FINALLY! The end of this one…he grabs her and kisses her! Gah…took him long enough to be a man!...er elf. Whatever. But yeah, I was smiling. So today at work, a lady comes up to my information desk(which is on the 2nd floor) and hands me some books. I look at her and ask, “Do you want to pay for these?” She answers, “Yes” and I tell her, “You need to go downstairs to the cash registers.” And she seemed so put out by that! Which made me laugh for many reasons for starters: You take an escalator to get to the top floor and there’s one that takes you back down so…there’s really zero energy that’s required to get to the first floor. And secondly, the registers are right on the way OUT the doors…a place she is heading anyways. *smacks forehead* Gee, sorry to convenience you and put the cash registers at a location that makes things simpler for everyone. Feh! Ouran High School Host Club!! *pets Tamaki…then pets the twins…then pets Tamaki again*
