Dang. 72 comments in my last post. That kept me busy!
So, I had noticed that besides people’s comments that most have become ‘Otakuits’ rather then “Otaku Member.” And then I noticed that I went from a ‘Senior Artist’ to an ‘Otaku Senior.’ And now, I see I’m an ‘Otaku Legend.’ Wow…that title seems quite stoic. Sounds like I should be in a fantasy book parading around with a dwarf, hobbit, and unicorn. I wonder what qualifies people from being a ‘Legend’ as opposed to a ‘Senior.’ *ponders*
Question of the Day: What do you never leave your home without?
My Answer: My iPod. That thing is permanently attached to me by the hip.
So, we had quite the thunder and lightning storm today. And wouldn’t you know it, it starts storming right before I’m about to clock out and head home from work. Feh! I picked out an umbrella from the lost and found(I’m going to bring it back! Don’t worry^^) since I didn’t have anything to cover myself and it was pouring so I wasn’t thrilled at the idea of getting wet. So, I was standing at a crosswalk among many other people and I see this giant puddle right beside the curb I was standing on. Now, I’ve seen those commercials and t.v. shows where cars/buses drive over those puddles and splash everyone in sight so I thought it may be a good idea, if I stand back a little ways just in case. And yep, it’s a good thing I did because soon after, a bus goes shooting by and just nailed ALL the people who were waiting by that curb. The girls all shrieked and I burst out laughing since they all got soaked. One guy(who was really cute!) turned to look at me because he was laughing too. I think we both had enjoyed that little show. Well, I could have been nice and warned those people beforehand but...you know, it was a lot more entertaining to me to watch them get wet.^_~
Quote of the Day comes from The Simpsons:
Homer: “Lisa, vampires are make-believe, like elves, gremlins, and eskimos.”

When I mentioned Samurai X in my last post, lots of people asked me if I knew that Samurai X and Rurouni Kenshin were based on the same person. I’m sorry, but I have to say this in a totally, bratty way: “uhhhhh…duh!” Sorry, *ends bratty voice.* Of course I knew it was based on the same person! I had seen the 3 Samurai X OVA’s before seeing the Kenshin series. Kinda sad to see Kenshin’s fate early but, you know, still a great story.
Question of the Day: What color are your eyes? Nice, simple question, neh?
MyAnswer: My eyes are dark brown on the outside, then green in the middle, then light brown around the pupils. Funky chicken.
I did laundry today. How exciting. I finished a book while waiting for my laundry to be done too. That always feels like an accomplishment. It’s a book by James Patterson and it’s one of his few teen fiction books. It was really good and I don’t often read teen fiction but it was dandy! It’s about a group of kids and teens that have wings and it was a super fast read. It’s called, Maximum Ride and I got it for free from work since it was a promotional copy that’s not meant for resale. Yayness!
This afternoon, I glanced out my window and noticed this little girl in the apartment across from mine. Her windows have steel bars on them, I assume for safety reasons, but she was playing with a Minny Mouse doll and she kept pushing the doll outside the window through the bars and dangling it there and then bringing it back in…and then put it out of the bars again and then back in. This unsettled me for some reason.
Quote of the Day comes from a stand-up by Mitch Hedberg:
I think Pringles initial intention was to make tennis balls. But on the day that the rubber was supposed to show up, a big truckload of potatoes arrived. But Pringles is a laid back company. So they said "Fuck it. Cut em up."

Thanks to everyone who commented on my new drawing! I’m happy that no one expected that’s what the drawing would be when it comes to Yuki when no one’s looking. And it was on the main page of Otaku as the featured artwork so that made me happy.^___^ You can click the eyeball below to see it if you haven’t seen it yet. Thanks!
Question of the Day: Do you have a guilty pleasure? I.E. a movie, song, or food that you love but you know you shouldn’t?
My Answer: The Brittany Spears song, Toxic. I dislike that woman but I LOVE that song! Every time it plays on my iPod I feel like stopping on the sidewalk and dancing!
So today, I watched the movie, Moon Child, starring Gackt and Hyde and okay, I admit, I bought it and wanted to watch it because it has 2 beautiful boys in it and especially because I’m a huge Gackt fan. I really wasn’t expecting much out of the movie….but it was really REALLY good. And it actually brought me to tears. ME!! The person who didn’t cry during Schindler’s List and who has been dubbed the ‘Stone-cold elf’ because during scenes when most people are crying, I sit there with this totally, unreadable, blank face. Hence, ‘stone-cold elf.’ I’ve only cried at a small handful of movies which I can list because it’s so small: Grave of the Fireflies, The Green Mile, Old Yeller, Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys, Samurai X…and I think that’s it. And now, Moon Child is added to that small list of my tear-jerkers. I have a new respect for Gackt and Hyde though. They can actually act!
It was so hot today too! I was happy because it’s been bloody cold here lately! I actually had to wear a skirt so I actually had to shave my legs. Summer is a-coming!
Quote of the Day comes from Moon Child:
*Gackt plays a character named Sho and Hyde’s is Kei and they just finished dodging gunfire*
Kei: “Sho…”
Sho: “Huh?
Kei: “There’s a hole in your jacket.”
Sho: *looks down* “……...” *starts firing gun at them* “This cost me a lot you assholes!!!!!”

I finished my Yuki When No One’s Looking drawing! It’s not as hard core as some of my other ones because I just wanted to have fun and I’m allowed to, dangit! You can just click the eyeball below to see the full thing. I know, ain’t I sneaky? You can’t see what Yuki does when no one is looking unless you click the little sample below. Oh and it will open in a new window since I’m so generous like that. Heehee:
As always, if you guys comment and vote on the drawing, it will make me happy. ^______^ *see, happy face*
A funny thing with this drawing too…as I was working on it my roommate asks, “What are you working on?” And I reply, “Currently, I’m working on Yuki’s crotch.” Heh heh. But what made it funny was my roomie goes, “Oh……wait….WHAT?!” LOL! She’s a bit flakey and I think it took her a second to comprehend what I had just said. But yeah, I just happened to be working on the crotch part of Yuki’s pants when she asked. I know, dirty.
So, anybody have plans for Memorial Day? I was supposed to go to a beach on Long Island with my roomy and some friends but then they decided not to because it was going to be too crowded. Ah well, another time. Just gives me an excuse to putz around and watch anime and visit you guys and such. And I got the movie, Moon Child in the mail the other day. It stars Gackt and Hyde…both beautiful boys so I look forward to watching that!
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
*Yakko is King of Anvilania and he is fighting with another King*
King: “I demand you surrender!”
Yakko: “I will not surrender, you surrender!”
King: “Me, surrender?”
Yakko: “All right, I accept. Hand over your keys to your castle.”

I had to open at work today. *yawnith* So I had to be up by 5am and it was weird because my alarm goes off but my body was already over the clock and in the process of turning it off. I wonder if I was still sleeping as I turned to shut it off but then woke up in the process? Weird.
Question of the Day: What was your first job? And for those who are still too young, what do you want your first job to be?
My Answer: My first job was working at Burger King and for those of you who have heard the comedian, Dane Cook do a sketch about BK…let me tell you, everything he says is 100% accurate.
So, I had gotten off the bus and was walking to work and it’s this time in the morning that NYC is actually fairly quiet. I had my iPod playing and was in my own world when suddenly, I hear this guy screaming and yelling behind me. It made me jump and I turn to see this guy wearing nothing but long johns, no shoes and…it gets weirder…he’s wearing a pair of brief underwear over the long johns. O_o Luckily, the guy wasn’t yelling at me and so I turn to see who he’s yelling at and low-and-behold…he’s yelling at nothing. But he’s going on about someone using his hairbrush or something like that. Hmmmm…I think his cheese may have slipped off his cracker.
Anyway, I’m trying to get my soul mate, Angelica to get an account here and she thinks she will. She’s just worried because she has no idea how to use html or anything plus, she’s on dial-up so it takes a long time for her to do anything. But I think she may join sometime in the near future! Whee! Then you guys get to visit her and hear all her nutter stories from work too since she gets the crazy people as well. And…she’s just like me so it’s double the fun…just like double mint gum.

In case you guys were noticing my updating pattern, I do not update every Thursday and Sunday because of my work schedule. Wednesday and Saturday nights, I have to close so I don’t get home till late so I’m usually too cranky to update. So, I spend those “day’s off” just getting to the people who had commented on my site. So, if I update on Wednesday you may not get a comment on your site from me till Thursday. Make sense? Heh…maybe?
Question of the Day: Can you use chopsticks?
My answer: For the life of me…no. Even with these skilled fingers I can’t EVER hold those stinking chopsticks! Feh!
My Tsubasa Chronicles finally downloaded! Whee! Now, I have 1-30 episodes to watch. Yesssss.
I’ve started my ‘Yuki When No One’s Looking’ drawing. I told my soul mate at work what it was and she actually squealed. So yes, I got a squeal from her so that’s a good sign. Then again, she’s a huge Yuki fan like me so just the mention of Yuki makes us squeal. No…we’re not fangirls…*shifty eyes*
I had a good day at work today. I was having an awesome hair day too so I think that made me happier. I had one obnoxious lady who dampened my mood though. So, as I was looking for her book on the computer’s B&N database…we “inconveniently” did not have her book in the store. Heh heh heh. I lied like a rug. Just keep in mind folks, if you’re rude or obnoxious to an employee, we do have ways of getting our revenge. And also with that lady, “oh darn, sorry, it looks like the book is out of print too.” Oh, revenge is so SO sweet.
Quote of the Day comes from ‘Deep Thoughts’ by Jack Handey:
“To me, it’s a good idea to always carry 2 sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, ‘Hey, can you give me a hand?’ you can say, ‘Sorry, got these sacks.’”
That lucky little…*grumbles*

Thank you all for over 16,000 hits and over 1,100 guestbook entries! Hot damn, I feel all bashful and appreciative.
Question of the Day: What’s your current obsession?”
My Answer: Gackt. You know, the Japanese singer? I bought a whole group of his CD’s off ebay and they came in today and I’ve been listening to them non-stop. I love them.^^
So today, I finished the final drawing for that one lady who’s been commissioning me to do drawings for her. Remember, the one’s I didn’t really want to do because she just wants me to re-draw the images rather then allowing me to do my own work and/or style? Ah well, money is money, neh? This is the final drawing I did for her:
Gawd, I hated doing this piece. It took bloody forever and that robot dude was a pain in the booty. But yeah, it was all done in colored pencils and inks for the outlines so…whee!
But now that that’s all done, I can now do my own work again! YAY! There’s this drawing I’ve been DYING to do…it’s called, ‘Yuki When No One’s Looking.’ And no, it’s not dirty! Feh! But it’s an idea that popped into my head while at work so now I just need to get my grubby little hands to start it. Speaking of grubby, I have to wipe off my drafting table. It’s got prismacolor poo all over it.
Oh, and this is going on with what I talked about yesterday with randomly picking up CD’s just based on the covers…I only do it in China Town because CD’s there are so cheap, and the more you buy, the cheaper they are! Below is one of the CD’s I picked up because I thought the cover was awesome. Look at it! It’s a dragon eye but a sweater thingy at the same time. And the singer’s hair, is also like the pupil of the dragon and then the sunset looks like the glaze of the eye. Oh oh OH! So cool!

I’m glad you guys had a good laugh at my butt pain’s expense. Feh! Heehee…it is pretty funny though, especially at work when I was limping around and my coworkers are like, “Did you hurt your leg or something?” And I’m like, “No, I pulled my ass.” It is feeling better today though. I never realized how much I use my butt until I pulled a muscle in it.
Question of the Day: Who do you think is the hottest Disney character, male or female?
My Answer: Aladdin…totally.
I’m glad you guys like my sketches in my last post! And yes, those are my quick sketches in my sketchbook. I’m pretty neat and clean even when I’m doodling. I’m a nut like that.
I went to China Town! Whee! I went to one of my fave stores just to browse around and I picked up a bunch of random Chinese CD’s just for the hay of it. I went by which CD covers I thought were the prettiest and/or which had the best looking guys on it.^_~ Have you guys ever randomly picked out a CD just because you liked the cover? I’m sure I’m not the only nutter who’s done that. I listened to them today while drawing and oh man, I love them! Especially this one with a singer named Yuging and his songs have the classic, lovely, oriental music playing in the background while he sings. And on the way home, there were these couple guys that kept eye-raping me on the subway. It was annoying. I was waiting for the train and they were looking me up and down and talking to each other and then staring at me again. Psh, they ain’t getting a piece of this cookie!
Quote of the Day comes from a phone conversation with my friend:
*While in the middle of a convo*
Gavin: “AH!”
Me: “What happened?!”
Gavin: “Howard just through a ball of aluminum foil at me from across the room!”
Me: “Haha…Howard has good aim.”
Gavin: “Blast it…foiled again!”

I pulled my butt muscle at work a couple days ago and oh gawd, it’s killing me. It’s that muscle that’s the lower back that connects to the butt so every bend and every step is such an owie. Feh! Ah well, I have the next couple days off so it shall heal.
Question of the Day: Where is a place that you wish to travel to?
My Answer: New Zealand…after seeing Lord of the Rings…oh man, that place looks insanely beautiful and I wanna see it!!
So at work yesterday, I was helping a lady find a book and I was walking past another lady who was browsing and the lady backs into me. She just stares at me with that bitchy face…you know the one I mean. The scowl. I pretended like I didn’t see her and kept looking for the ladies’ book. Then the other lady says, “Yeah, most people would have said, ‘Excuse me.’” I said, “I was just trying to walk past you.” And the lady again said all snippy, “Yeah, most people would have said, ‘Excuse me.’” I was having a bad day to begin with and my butt hurt and I was PMSing so I wasn’t in a good mood so I said back but calmly, “Ma’am, you’re the one who backed into me.” So, the lady started doing that mumble crap calling me names…well, calling me one name over and over which was, “Skinny white girl.” Okay, the more I thought of it, the funnier it was. Is that supposed to be an insult? Since when is being thin a negative thing and calling me a “white girl” on top of that…hmmm. It didn’t offend me like she was hoping and I had SUCH the urge to reply, “Yeah, well, at least I’m not a fat ass like you!” But…I would never stoop to her level of name calling. I think she was mad that I was right in that discussion and her intelligence level is only so high, so she resorts to name calling rather then using logic. And the part that I found ironic is that the section she was browsing in was the Christian Inspiration section. Ha! Maybe she should look into those books a bit more.
I did some sketches of my original characters of Estel and Leetha. I’m just working on defining them a bit more. I changed Leetha’s braid into 2 rather then one and I think I like it better. I’m next going to work on defining their costumes. But yeah, I thought I’d share the sketches. I think this is more-so how they would look in the pages of the manga and in that style but less sketchy since, you know, these are just quickies:

So, I was reading a magazine and noticed an add for this new instant bacon by Oscar Mayer. You pop it in the microwave and you will have sizzling bacon within 10 seconds. Yes…TEN seconds. Does anyone else find this really bazaar? 10 seconds is the recommended time for a Poptart in the microwave but a meat product like bacon? Weird.
Question of the Day: If you could be any anime or video game character, who would it be?
My answer: Dark from D.N.Angel. Being an un-catchable thief AND having wings on top of that…what could be more fun?!
We had a big thunder storm today that rained buckets on me as I was coming home from work. I hate rain. I know, I know, but rain is needed to make things grow and make the world all lively and pretty…doesn’t take away from the fact I still hate it. And nothing too extreme happened today at work. Certainly not like the lady from my last post but then again, I don’t think that will ever be topped. I did have a little boy that was following me around everywhere. He reminded me of how Kisa would follow Tohru around…except I didn’t find it as cute as Tohru did. I dislike kids but they love me for some reason. Feh!
And I had to open at work too so had to be up by 5am. Not fun and I woke up with a monster headache that I had had since the day before. And I know why too, I had no coffee yesterday and I always drink quite a bit and I think my body was going through the caffeine withdrawal. As soon as I had a cup of coffee, my headache went away within literally, 5 minutes. Coffee is like a drug I depend on! Bah.
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
Pinky: “That Shirley something-er-other…she’s got bad news.”
Brain: “….Yes?”
Pinky: “Something about something something being….something.”
Brain: “Grrrr...*grabs him by the nose* “Do you think you can be a little more specific?!”
Pinky: “Uhhhh….no. I had the phone upside down.”
