I got a package today in the mail from my parents full of food and treats. That makes me happy. My mom sent me like, 6 peanut butter Twix bars though! Sheesh! I think she’s trying to fatten me up.
Question of the Day: What’s your all time favorite TV show…NOT ANIME!
Mine is Mystery Science Theater 3000. I could live happy just watching that show for the rest of my life.
I got the little schnikees scared out of me twice today at work. The first time was right after I walked out of the bathroom and rounded the corner, one of my co-workers named Justin, leaped out from behind one of the book cases yelling, ‘BAH!!!” Oh gawd, I jumped like 7.5 feet into the air threw my hands up and yelped. Justin just laughed and laughed because he said my face was priceless. He compared my face to that of a deer in headlights. Hmph. I slapped him a few times and called him some not so lady-like names since he wouldn’t stop laughing. He later said that customers thought he was crazy since he was shelving books and giggling. That turd burglar but I guess it was better that he scared me AFTER I had used the bathroom…heh.
Later on, I was doing the resort of books and my manager(yes, the same one who throws Skittles at me and will literally kick customer’s asses out of the store), snuck up behind me and screams in my ear, “HELLO LINDSEY!!!!” Cripes, my heart! He’s lucky I didn’t smack him with my scanner I had in my hand as I whirled around. Bah, so yeah, I had a frightful day but at least he kept me awake.
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
*The Warners are in hell and are acting like zombies and speaking in monotone voices*
Yakko: “All is strange and vague.”
Dot: “Are we dead?”
Yakko: “Or is this Ohio?”

For all those stating I must have spent a lot on all those anime goodies from my last post…well, nope! C’mon, it’s China Town! Everything is mega-cheap. The posters were only $2 a piece and the Advent Children figures, for the whole set, was only $10. The most expensive item was the Cloud statue at $25 but I knew if I were to get it anywhere else like ebay or something, then it would cost more and then I’d have to pay shipping on top of that. Feh! And Cloud is so pretty so he’s worth it…*pets*
Question of the Day: If you could only eat and drink one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Me? Spicy nacho Doritos and a chocolate mocha. I never tire of either.
Played more Kingdom Hearts 2 today. Man, Mulan’s character sucks as a fighter. After I did ALL the work to defeat the bad guys, Sora goes up to her saying how great she did and they won all thanks to her and I’m sitting there thinking, ‘heck no, she didn’t! She just followed me around and stood there while I worked my Sora butt off! Feh!’
I’m posting at 2:40am right now since I just got back from work. *yawn-ith* I was asked to help do inventory so I accepted so I could get extra hours and more money. Whee! It was fun though. No customers and I just got to stand around and talk to my pal, Angelica and now and again, punch in numbers into the computer when someone asked me too. And then we got free pizza! YAY! I haven’t had pizza in forever and I never get pizza back at home because my mom is allergic to cheese and tomatoes. My manager kept throwing Skittles at me though. That maroon. This is the same manager that got attacked by that one customer and then he kicked his ass out the door. Heehee! I love that manager.
Quote of the Day comes from Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey:
“I think a good novel would be where a bunch of men on a ship are looking for a whale. They look and look, but you know what? They never find him. And you know why they never find him? It doesn’t say. The book leaves it up to you, the reader, to decide.
Then, at the very end, there’s a page that you can lick and it tastes like Kool-Aid.”

Today’s question, if you were to compare yourself, personality wise, to an anime or video game character, who would it be?
Me? People compare me to Momiji Sohma a lot but I personally, relate myself to Yuki Sohma.
So, I FINALLY started Kingdom Hearts II! Go me! I’ve only had this game in my pocession for how long? 2 weeks? Heehee but yeah, what everyone stated confirmed my suspicion…this game is damn good and damn addicting! Just like the first one and KH:Chain of Memories. I’m really glad I completed Chain of Memories first though because then I already knew who Axel, Namine and the other ‘Nobodies’ were. And Christopher Lee(the guy who’s Saruman in LOTR) does the voice for that main bad dude! Haha! And I'm glad they kept Haley Joel Osmond to be the voice of Sora.
I’m sorry I made some of you jealous when I talked about all my anime places I went to yesterday. Don’t be fooled though, I really don’t like NYC but the one thing I do like it for is its anime paradise. I bought yesterday, 2 mangas, a kickin’ Inuyasha fighting action figure, 2 Loveless posters, a Sasuke/Naruto poster, a Cloud statue(that now goes with my Sephiroth one), a set of Advent Children figures(which include Cloud, Tifa, Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz), a Kenshin/Kaoru wallscroll, a random CD by a Chinese singer named Stephy Fantasy, and a set of Advent Children keychains(also including Cloud, Tifa, Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz)…and I think that’s it. Oh wait, and a Kenshin figure too that now matches with my Kenji(Kenshin’s son) one. Heh, NOW, that’s it. Yes, me likey China Town. The rest of NYC kinda sucks though. Feh, give me nature and fresh air any day!
Quote of the Day comes from Seinfeld…this seems long but it’s not and it’s oh-so funny:
Lady: “What are you going to, a birthday party?”
Elaine: “No, a wedding.”
Lady: “A wedding? I didn’t think people got married these days! Is the couple nice?”
Elaine: “Oh yes, very nice.”
Lady: “What kind of work does he do, if you don’t mind me asking?”
Elaine: “She.”
Lady: “She? Oh, she works and he doesn’t. Well, it IS the 90’s!”
Elaine: “No…both are she’s. It’s a…*cough*…lesbian wedding.”
Lady: “A what?”
Elaine: “A lesbian wedding. I’m the uh…*cough*…Best Man.”
Lady: *turns to guy next to her* “Just my luck. I don’t talk to anyone on the subways for 32 years…and I get the best man at a lesbian wedding.” *walks off*
Elaine: “W-w-w-wait!!! You don’t understand! I’m not a lesbian!! I hate men but I’m not a lesbian!!”

I think I may start asking random questions now and again, because I like the responses! Let’s see, I always ask this question because I like the answers I get so, if they were to make a movie based on your life, who would you want to play you?
Anywho, today I had a splendifferic time. I spent the whole day with my soulmate, Angelica and her sister, Naomi. We went to Forbidden Planet, which is a comic book store, and we noticed they have an entire yaoi corner! Sheesh! It got my attention because I was like, “Oh! Bishies!” And then I see a sign over it that said, ‘Yaoi.’ Man, no yuri corner, but there’s a yaoi one. I find this interesting.
And then we went to China Town and I took him to my anime guy and he gave us some free Japanese drinks and pocky! I then took them to some other anime places I enjoy and then we ate out at my fave restaurant in China Town and the waiter(who always happens to be the one to wait on us) saw my bags with anime goodies and started talking to us about it. Heehee. Then I was eating my food, and I bit down on something quite hard...only to take it out of my mouth and saw that it was a piece of metal! It looked like a stretched out staple and the waiter saw it and gave us our meal for free. Yeehaw! I’m glad I didn’t swallow that piece of metal though! That would have kinda hurt later on.
So yeah, I had a nice day! There was a point where we were walking down the street and keep in mind, Angelica and Naomi are born and breed New York City-ers so they were dodging in front of traffic like no tomorrow and at one point, I thought we were going to get hit by a cab and I go, “Oh my god, I’m going to die!” And then I see a cute dog and say, “Oh! Doggy!” And this was all within the same sentence. Angelica and Naomi laughed and said that they officially loved me. Heh…what can I say, I’m a sucker for animals and anything cute…even when a car is coming at me.

Mmmmmm…Ramen. I’m eating my fave which is the chicken mushroom. My 2nd fave is the pork. What’s everyone’s favorite ramen flavor?
At B&N, the fiction novels are categorized by the author’s last name. Easy enough, right? I guess for some people, this is a really difficult concept to grasp. Today, this lady comes in and asks where the Stephen King novels are. I point to the fiction and I tell her it’s alphabetized by last name so it will be in the “K’s” for King. She just gave me this look like I had told her to measure the length of the great wall of China and then multiply it by the theory of relativity. So, she goes over there and a few minutes later, she comes back saying, “I looked everywhere and I didn’t find no Stephen King books.” Yes, she said, ‘I didn’t find no…’ that alone told me that she wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. So I told her again, “It’s alphabetized by author’s last name. The first row starts with the ‘A’s’ and then works its way to ‘Z.’” So, she left again and mind you, I would have just gone back there and showed her where they were from the get-go, but we were MAD busy. And you better believe it, a couple minutes go by and she comes back saying she still couldn’t find his books. So I finally leave the information desk and take her straight to the Stephen King books and she acted all flustered and going on about how she had looked here but didn’t see them. Uh-huh…now, Stephen King practically releases a new book every month so we have basically a whole bookcase FULL of his works so don’t give me crap that you didn’t see it.
*smacks forehead* The idiocy of people will never cease to amaze me.
Quote of the Day comes from the manga, MeruPuri:
*Aram is transformed in his 12 year old form…you just have to read this manga to understand why he goes from adult to 12 year old…*
Aram: “Guard! Have you seen a lost girl? I need to find her!”
Guard: “Huh? Your highness?”
Aram: “She’s selfish and common and really strong….she talks a lot, likes drama…and has really big boobies!”

At work today, I spot this book called, ‘A Story With No Words,’ and I thought that seemed rather interesting so I open the book and…there were words in it!! Feh!! I was disappointed. I think that’s false advertising right there.
Today was pay day!! WOOT! The one day a week I get a piece of paper that reminds me why I spend 8 1/2 hours a day shelving books and helping idiotic customers find their merchandise. I bought me-self a manga called ‘Hot Gimmick.’ Sugoi! Me likey!
And then a guy came in later who spotted Naruto on my name tag and that sparked a conversation that somehow lead to Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. He had taken a film class like I had in college, so we spent a good 45 minutes having a truly intellectual conversation on why that movie was so good. It was nice and he was cute!...and tall! I have problems finding guys taller then me. Being a girl, at 5’9” often sucks but the one thing it’s good for? Hiding my stash of Doritos and Oreos on the top of the cabinets from my scavenger roomie. She’s only 5’2”. Heehee…she’s like an arm rest!XP
Quote of the Day comes from the comic, FoxTrot:
*sitting in movie theater waiting to see Lord of the Rings: Return of the King*
Paige: “I hope Orlando Bloom is in every shot in this movie! Please, please, please let Orlando be in every shot!!” *turns to brother* “You read ‘Return of the King,’ Jason, does Tolkien mention Orlando Bloom a lot? Wait, don’t tell me! I want to be surprised!”
Jason: *looking next to him* “You, with the orc arrows…please shoot me.”
Aw…Cloud looks sad. Who wants to give him a hug to make him feel better? O_O WAIT! One at a time! No pushing! Hey you, end of the line!!!

The Geico gecko is so freakin’ adorable! I want to have him as a pet! I have a feeling he’d never shut up about car insurance though.
Anywho, I bought Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children today…well, yesterday when most read this...I’ve already seen Advent Children like, 16 times but I wanted to get the official released one rather then my boot-leg. Heh heh. But it was quite different watching it in English but I must admit, they did a good job with the dubbing. Man, the person they picked to do Kadaj’s English voice, *applauds* They nailed it. It sounds a lot like the Japanese version and he was probably, in my humble opinion, the best actor too. I tend to judge how good a voice actor is by when they have to show true emotion so during the part where Kadaj is in tears and screaming for his mother…was wonderful and realistic. Sephiroth’s voice was really good too…so was Vincent’s and Marlene’s. Cloud sounded too…surfer boy-ish to me though. And I was mad that they didn’t have Reno saying “yo” after everything he said in the English dubs! BAH! That’s something Reno is known for! *shakes fist*
And I finally beat Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories!! Dang…I was SO wrong thinking this 3rd Riku battle was my final one. It kept going and going and going *watches Energizer Bunny stroll past my door*…O_o Anyway, now I can start KH2! It’s only been sitting there and looking at me, begging me to play it since I got it all those days ago.
Quote of the Day comes from the Animaniacs game for Gamecube…thank you Lordsesshomaru for reminding me of some of the quotes from this game^_~:
*After defeating a dragon boss*
Yakko: “Boy, I’m glad that’s finally over.”
Wakko: “Yeah, that battle kept ‘dragon’ along.”
Yakko: *whips out trophy* “Congratulations Wakko, you are a true Warner.”
Wakko: *wipes tear* “Thank you.”
I took a lot of screencaps since there’s so many pretty-full moments. I swear, this shot of Kadaj just screams ‘Sex Me.’XP

Thank you guys for over 15,000 hits! I’m not worthy…*bows* Hey, my shoes are untied…*ties them* I treat you all to peanut butter oreos and chocolate mochas. No calories or caffeine there^_~
I watched Loveless again today. Man, how I love that anime. I think Soubi is one of the few characters that can make pain and misery look hott. How does he do it?! Ritsuka is still my fave though. I want to ruffle his hair he’s so cute.
So, I took a shower and came back and saw that I had a new voicemail on my phone. So I listen to it and it’s my friend Tyler and his message was this: “Hey, just so you know, I caved and bought Kingdom Hearts II…and now I’m addicted…damn you.” And then he hung up. Haha! This is my friend that refused to play Kingdom Hearts but I wouldn’t let up about it so he finally got it and I got him hooked.
There’s this couple who lives in the building across from my apartment who just stare out their window…and it’s not just for a few minutes…it’s like for hours! They’ll just sit there staring at the street below watching the traffic and people. It’s creepy. I want to put up a sign that says, “Dudes…get a life!!” I think they’re spying on me…watching what I’m doing on my computer…like that mysterious white van that still chills out in front of our apartment…I’m under conspiracy, I can tell.
Quote of the Day comes from Black Cat:
*In this episode, Train was shot with something that made him become a child but at the end he comes running out of the shower and he’s full-grown again*
Rinslet: “Train…you’re not small!!”
Sven: “You…You reverted back!”
Kyoko: “It can’t be!”
Train: *looking at self* “Huh…you’re right.”
Sven: “Everyone was concerned about you!”
Rinslet: “Jeez, talk about stirring up a commotion.”
Kyoko: “Did the hot water make you grow?”
Eve: “Train is like….instant noodles…”
Train: “Heh?!”

Well, I got Kingdom Hearts II Saturday but haven’t played it yet. I’m still playing KH: Chain of Memories! BAH! Riku is such a pain in the butt!!! This is like, the 3rd time I’ve had to fight him and he was pretty easy the other times and then suddenly, he goes hard core and I can just stand there as he whoops my Sora butt. Ah well, I wont give up! Even though I think I know enough with the characters like Axel and Namine and such that I could start KH2 and be fine. I’m pretty sure this Riku is the last battle in Chain of Memories.
So, I was at work Saturday and I was going to the information desk since I saw someone waiting there. I look at this guy and think to myself…’oh my god, he’s someone famous…but WHO?!’ So, I ask the guy if he needs help and I look up his book for him and everything and we were getting pretty crowded so I told him that he can come closer behind me so I could hear him better. So, I’m looking right at him, talking to him and I just couldn’t think of where I knew this guy from! It turns out, we didn’t have his book so he smiled at me and thanked me and what not and just as he walked away, it hit me…’THE DAILY SHOW!!’ He’s one of the anchors in the Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central. And then I remembered his name and everything….which is Rob Corddry and he’s so funny on that show! He’s the bald guy but I haven’t been able to watch the Daily Show in long time since I don’t have cable here in the city. I guess he comes in quite a bit but it’s amazing the amount of celebs that come into our B&N but it is NYC so I’m not THAT shocked. Last Sunday, my co-workers were telling me that Heath Ledger came in and then the girl from ‘My Girl’ has been there that day too. Man, so next time you see the Daily Show and see Rob on there…you can be all like, ‘yeah, Elves totally helped that guy at B&N and totally had a moment with him.’ XP
Quote of the Day comes from Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey:
“If you ever drop your keys into a river of molten lava, let ‘em go, because, man, they’re gone.”
Heh…I hope Gollum never drops his keys…har har…LOTR geek right here. *points to self*

I think I may stop by GameStop before work tomorrow and pick up Kingdom Hearts 2. Since I’ll have the next three days off and my wrist is still hurting so I don’t think I’ll be drawing so I think that will help entertain me for awhile. I’m almost done with Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories on my Gameboy so I’m going to try and beat that before I play KH2 since I hear beating that game will help when they introduce some of the characters in KH2.
My soulmate, Angelica has the flu and she could barely talk at work today. Naturally, I had to be an ass and pick on her but I think that karma has snuck up and bit me on the butt since my throat is feeling sore which is usually a beginning sign to me that I may be getting sick. Feh! I better not be getting sick. I’ll beat it away with Cloud’s butterknife of doom. Speaking of Cloud, I finally saw a Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children commercial today. Man, about time they’re releasing that. I’m glad I got a cheap Japanese copy of it off e-bay back in September of ’05 since I wouldn’t have been able to wait this long.
Also at work today, I was helping a customer and I kept on typing letters backwards when trying to find her book. I do that a lot…I type letters in the wrong order…and the customer commented about how she read that that’s part of a make-up of a genius and then I made some comments back to her and then I said, “well, a lot of geniuses are clinically insane too, you know” and she just started laughing and laughing and wiping tears from her eyes. I didn’t think I was being that funny but she and some other customers did. I guess it was my tone in how I said it. After the lady caught her breath, she said, “oh dear, that was a good laugh. I really needed that.” That made me feel good that I brightened someone’s day. Especially when the book she needed was dealing with cancer.
Quote of the Day comes from Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey:
“One way I think you can tell if you have a curse on you is if you open a box of toothpicks and they all fly up and stick in your face.”
…..I would have to agree with that statement.
