Whoa, I thought I had gotten really few comments on my last post but then I realized that they started putting more comments per page in the comment box. Instead of 5 comments showing up at a time it’s 10. That’s interesting.
My drawing is almost done…well, not almost done but I’ll have it done by Tuesday evening-ish time.
A couple of my friends had their gallery show today at our college. Their work was really nice so I was proud of them. They had sushi at their opening and for some reason they thought that I would like it even though I hate fish. Well, I tried some and almost threw up. YUCK! Not only did it taste gross but it had a disgusting texture to it too. Not a feeling I wish to have in my mouth. And many people on myO have asked me if I’m a vegetarian since I love animals so much…*puts down hamburger* Nay, I’m no vegetarian.
It was raining today too…doubly yuck. I dislike rain. It makes me grumpy and sleepy…hah! Just like the dwarves in Snow White. And whenever it rains in NYC it’s really windy and wind around here blows in every direction since it gets caught around the buildings. It sucks and I saw some people’s umbrellas turn inside out which sucks for them but it amused me.
Which leads me to the quote of the day…
And now, Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey:
“Most of the time it was probably real bad being stuck down in a dungeon. But some days, when there was a bad storm outside, you’d look out your little window and think, ‘Boy, I’m glad I’m not out in that!’”

So, I work up Sunday morning and looked at my clock and was like, “what? It’s 11:30am?!” I rarely sleep past 10:30 anymore so I was surprised but I still went on throughout my day, visiting you guys and what-not and then it hit me…”wait, it’s daylight savings time, isn’t it?” *smacks forehead* I had forgotten until late afternoon. I didn’t realize my new alarm clock resets itself! Damn you tricksy Timex.
I finished up the line-art of the drawing I’m doing of my original character, Leetha and Estel. Now I get to color it. Whee! That be my fave part^_^ I hope to have it done by Tuesday-ish.
So, I talked to my parents today and they really want me to come home. As in, move back home. They hate me being in NYC…especially once they learned how 2 old ladies were stabbed to death less then 2 blocks from where I live. Heh. But I think I will move back home once my lease is up in July and save up some money before I get my own apartment again. I told my soul mate that I wasn’t planning on staying here in the city and she told me she’s coming home with me. And she was serious! She said there’s no way she can part from me now that she’s found me. Wow…it sounds like we’re in love with each other, neh? But we’re not!! My door doesn’t swing that way^_~
And I find it funny how many of you after reading my last post said they wish they could work where I worked. Indeed, it seems something interesting always happens at my job but I think that’s because I tend to look at every aspect of my life in such a way that it makes it seem exciting. I quote Ferris Beuller: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.” Amen Ferris.
And now, Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey:
“If you’re a cowboy, and you’re dragging a guy behind your horse, I bet it would really make you mad if you looked back and the guy was reading a magazine.”
O_O…helloooooo Kenshin! This is by illustrator Yamaguchi Graph who’s quite a famous doujinshi artist:

So, you know the manga I talked about in my last post called Aishiteruze Baby? There’s a whole anime based on it too! I bought it last night on e-bay. I can’t wait to watch it once it gets here. Whee!
Well, something quite interesting happened today at work but I think some of you may be too young to hear this story…let’s just say, there was a couple customers who were acting really close while sitting in the aisles and a little while later…hmm, let’s put it this way, she was…oh boy, you know…doing something naughty to him…gah, okay, she was sucking on his lollipop! There we go. Right in the middle of one of the aisles!!!! I was a couple yards away from them and I just hear the manager scream, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!! GET OUT AND DON’T EVER COME BACK!!!” It was kinda ironic, because the aisle they were doing this in was in the fertility section.XD I know, dirty story but it was so funny and not something that often happens at Barnes&Noble^_~
I’m sad because my pal at work, named Josh is leaving:-( This was his last day and him and I always close the store together and he always made me happy to just be around him. Josh is gay by the way so don’t take my love for him in that way(whoa, notice all the rhyming in that last sentence). He told me that if he were straight, I was the type of girl he would want….I don’t know how to take that though.XP
Quote of the Day comes from SNL:
*And now, Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey*
“If you want to sue somebody, just get a little plastic skeleton and lay it in their yard. Then tell them their ants ate your baby.”
Prettyfull image from Aishiteruze Baby…obviously, that girl isn’t the child the main character is taking care of…just someone he’s crushing over^^

I’m glad you guys like my other original character too! This weekend, I hope to do a completed drawing of Estel and Leetha all fully colored and stuff. I told my story idea to my soul mate, Angelica and she loved it. There is quite a twist in the story too that becomes an on-going theme that she thought was such a great idea. I’ll let you guys know what it is later on though once I write up an overall summary of it.
I have to open tomorrow at work. WAH! That means I have to be there by 7am and shelve books for 2 hours before the customers are allowed in.>_< Caffeine shall be my best friend but the weather is supposed to be gorgeous! 69 degrees! Whee!! So I’ll get out of work by 3:30pm so I’ll be able to actually enjoy some of it.
Today, I called a fellow co-worker a “lucky bitch” because he was going home and he comes up to me like, 5 minutes later and asks, “did you call me a ‘lucky bitch?’” I said, “yeah, why?” He goes, “I think that is the first time I’ve heard you swear! You deserve a pat on the back for that. Now I know you’re such a goody-goody.” O_o He was just messing around with me because we always do that but when have I become a goody-goody? Because I don’t excessively swear? Feh! Do you guys think I am? I think I come across that when I’m physically with people because I always dress very well and my hair is always perfect and I speak proper English, blah blah blah. Hmph. If only they knew how my evil little mind worked.*shifty eyes*
Oh! I have another manga suggestion…it’s called ‘Aishiteruze Baby’ and it’s so cute, it makes me want to weep. I see the guys cowering away at the very mention of the word, “cute.” Boys are weird. Anyway, to sum it up; there’s a guy who’s insanely popular at school with the ladies, he comes home one day and his family tells him, ‘hey, your aunt has gone missing, this is her daughter and she has no one to take care of her so YOU have to do it.’ And of course he’s like, EH?! And the story goes from there! Whee! He goes from a ladies man to a mom.XD It’s great and I usually don’t care for child-type stories like this but it’s really well done. Here’s a little part from it, KAWAII!:

I’m glad you guys like my original character, Estel shown in the last post!
Oh, and I don’t know if I’m making a fanfiction based on them. I was actually hoping to draw a whole manga based on them but I’d only do it select scenes at a time to convey how the characters interact with each other as well as how the story would be told.
Anywho, onto my next original character who’s going to be the leading lady who runs along with Estel:
Like my elf character, Estel this is just a pencil sketch so nothing is finalized. That outfit isn’t one she’d be wearing in most of the story, she has travel gear she usually wears. Anyway, her name is Leetha Blue, and she’s the niece of a Steward(a Steward is one who tends to watch/rule over a mass of land. Not of royal blood but still at a high rank). Leetha yearns for adventure hence how her and Estel Elendil the elf get paired up…not by Estel’s wishing though. I wouldn’t call her bratty, but she’s used to getting her way and is certainly not used to being told she’s doing something wrong especially when it comes to her fighting skills and some may remember how I said Estel was brutally honest?XP Leetha ends up causing a big boo boo and so her and Estel end up entering something far greater then what they had bargained for.
Shazaam! There’s more characters who come into play and I’ll show them to you as I go.
So, my parents sent me another care package and when I opened it, right on the very top was a picture of Freddie and Furball(my cat and dog back home). I literally burst into tears when I saw them. Not a high point in my life. I miss my wittle babies. *pets mice in my apartment instead….then proceeds to scrub my hands with every anti-bacterial liquid ever created*
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
*The Warners are being lawyers in this episode*
Wakko: *walks up to the witness and places a bible under her hands* “Do you swear…”
Witness: *puts left hand on bible and lifts her right hand* “Yes.”
Wakko: “Well, you shouldn’t, it’s not nice.” *takes back bible and walks away*

I finished a book today. I feel accomplished when I do that. My roommate is in the other room playing Soul Calibur III and she's throwing out curses like you wouldn't believe.
I’m glad you guys are so excited to see some of my original characters! It made me excited to do them! I already completed the sketch of the main character:
Keep in mind this is just a sketch done in pencil so nothing is finalized here. I’m sure not many of you are surprised to see he’s an elf.XD But yeah, his name is Estel and I’m thinking his full name is going to be Estel Elendil(pronounced Ee-len-dee). He’s a moon elf and his hair is going to be silver, eyes are lavender(me a sucker for them lavender eyes!^_~) and his outfit is mostly going to be in shades of blue. His weapons are 2 scimitars but he’s got great skill with a bow too. He ends up getting paired with a human girl(who I’ll introduce you all to later) and he ain’t too thrilled about it. He tends to not have much patience for humans, he’s a bit cocky, stubborn, and tends to be brutally honest. Heh…which his female counterpart doesn’t tend to appreciate.^_~
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs…it took me literally, about 6 years to realize why this quote was funny. So many brownie points to those who get it:
*The Warners are trying to get money to buy candy*
Yakko: “Here you go sir!” *gives man a letter and holds out his hand* “How ‘bout a tip?”
Flaxseed: “Don’t eat lead.”
Heh heh heh…yes…it’s more Train goodness from the anime Black Cat. Me-ow! Now I’m off to watch more of that anime! *skips away*

I watched some more Black Cat today. I’m getting more and more addicted to that anime! I adore Train…you can’t help but love a guy who has a soft spot for cats^_~
Anyway, work yesterday was insane. One of my co-workers called in sick and this particular night was nuts. It was so crowded and I swear, everyone needed me to hold their hand and show them exactly where their book was. I don’t have much patience for lazy people. Plus, it seems like no one bought anything that day, just left their piles of books all over the floor and near the cashier so we spent all night just putting them back. And then a lady was asking me which bibles were the King James version and which were the normal ones and I told her I honestly had no idea the difference between them and she looked at me like I was the devil in disguise. Feh.
And then people left piles of manga everywhere and I spent a long time putting the mangas back in alphabetical order but didn’t bother to put them in the correct number order. Later on as I walked by, I saw some kid taking them off the shelf and putting them on the floor and I was so pissed! After he left I went to the section to see the damage and the kid had actually put them in numerological order! I wanted to give him a hug.
So anyway, I spent all of today just relaxing and allowing the blisters on my feet to heal after that 8 ½ hours of hell.
I think today, I want to draw the concept art of some original characters that I’m had swimming in my head for quite some time. I never really do original characters, just fanart but I think people will like my original characters so perhaps I’ll give it a whirl. Oh and my PM's still aren't working right. I keep getting messages dated back from April 2005 and then when I try and send messages I get funky little codes. Boo.
TRAIN!!! This is the main character from Black Cat. *glomps*

I watched the first episode of Black Cat last night and boy howdy is it awesome!! I downloaded the 2nd one today so I look forward to watching that and I’m in the process of downloading the 3rd one too. I like how it’s a little different from the manga in that it shows the main character, Train’s past first and then leads us into where he is in the manga. Spifftastic.
Remember my crazy psychic lady from yesterday? Well, today we had another nut! This one though gets the cake. Apparently, this guy is clinically insane and he used to wander around B&N all day just smiling which is no big deal…until he started trying to look up little girl’s skirts. Then they had him kicked out and he was told he’s not allowed back in. But then today, he attempted to come inside but the manager happened to be by the doors and recognized him and told him he had to leave. The guy took a swing and tried to punch the manager!! But the manager(who’s name is Dave) leaned back and so the guy missed and Dave grabbed the guy and they tumbled into the CD display. Dave then clutched the guy by the scruff of his neck, opened the doors, and kicked his ass out onto the sidewalk! Dave called the police but the police said that because the psycho guy didn’t injure him, there was nothing they could do. Gotta love the NYC police>_< I didn’t actually witness the event since this had happened downstairs and my department is upstairs but luckily, the whole thing was captured on the security cameras and I got to see it! Oh man, Dave just thought he was the coolest cat for the rest of the day.
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
*Dr.ScratchnSniff is trying to teach the Warners to be proper/polite individuals*
Dr.ScratchnSniff: “Now Dot, I want you to make a little curtsy.”
Dot: “Thanks, but I did before I left home.”
Thank you guys for over 14,000 hits and over 1,000 guestbook entries! Hot damn, I feel special. *huggles and hands you all mochas*

Actually, what I had posted at the end of my post were MANGAS I was recommending…not animes. I think some people got that confused. I mean, to see what animes I would recommend you could just look at the side profile of my site under the fave animes section.XD
I have become a downloading fanatic. I’m enjoying this faster internet way too much. I downloaded the first episode to the anime Black Cat and can’t wait to watch it! One of my managers at work recommended me to a couple good torrent sites and the best one in my opinion is torrentspy.com. Anybody else have some fave torrent sites?
So today at work, I had a lady who was trying to convince me that she was psychic and could naturally delve into the realms of time and space and speak to other spirits from other worlds and blah blah blah she was so full of crap. The funny thing was, is she was looking at tarot cards and kept asking me what the price was on every single one even if the tag was staring her right in the face. And then she was asking me the difference in the cards and I have no freaking idea and you would think if this is her profession, that she would be able to tell the difference herself. She then said she didn’t need tarot cards because she was a natural psychic so that left me wondering why the heck she was buying tarot cards in the first place. She wouldn’t stop talking either and she has a real thick Brooklyn accent too which only heightened my amusement of the whole situation. She had a guy with her as well and I didn’t hear him say more then one word the entire time. He sorta looked like he wanted to shoot himself or run and flee in terror.
I hate having to deal with the idiocy of customers but I have to admit, it’s customers like that that make my job more entertaining.
Quote of the Day comes from a conversation with a friend while drinking wine:
Me: “Aw.”
Gavin: “What’s the matter?”
Me: “There’s crumbs in my wine.”
Gavin: “Crumbs?”
Me: “Yeah, I was eating garlic bread and some must have flaked in there.”
Gavin: “Man, now you have crummy wine.”
Heehee! So corny but it made me laugh.

This continues from what many people commented on in my last post…I actually get a 30% employee discount at Barnes&Noble and 50% off everything in their café. I get a 20% employee discount from GameStop since it’s affiliated with B&N. Hope that cleared it up. And the release date of Kingdom Hearts II is March 28th in the U.S. since some people asked.
So I went to Circuit City today because I wanted to get some DVD-R’s and they were about $45 with tax so I bought the pack of 50. I then went to Office Max because I was curious on their prices of DVD-R’s. Well, turns out they were having a sale on their DVD-R’s and you want to know their price was for the same exact product I had just spent $45 on in Circuit City? $13.88!!! Yes, only $13.88!! I couldn't believe it! It was the same price for a spindle of 100 CD-R’s so I ended up buying 2 packs of 50 DVD-R’s and a 100 pack of CD-R’s for the exact same price I had just paid for one 50 pack spindle at Circuit City. Man, did I feel like a kick-ass shopper! Oh, and I returned the other DVD-R's so I got me money back^^
I’m feeling disgusted…my roommate and her boyfriend are over and I can hear them kissing like non-stop. Argh, even when I’m out in the living room eating they’re there on the couch acting like idiots and kissing each other whenever they think they did something cute or funny. It annoys the hell out of me because it’s that really gross, sloppy-sounding, wet, and loud kissing. I need to get a silencer for them or something>_<
And so many people have asked me to repeat the mangas I’ve been suggesting since I keep popping out with new ones so here’s the list in no particular order^_~: 1)Absolute Boyfriend, 2)Ourans High School Host Club, 3)Tenshi Ja Nai, 4)Black Cat, 5)Immortal Rain, 6)Loveless, 7)Gravitation, 8)Fruits Basket, 9)Chrno Crusade…ummm…I think that’s it. Feels like I’m missing some. Bah.
