I’ve exchanged animes again with my soul-mate at work. She gave me Yami no Matsuei and I gave her more Naruto. She said her sister wasn’t into Naruto until she saw the Japanese version and now she keeps bugging her to get more from me. I watched a bunch of Naruto today since I’ve been waiting forever to see that big battle between Sasuke and Gaara and I flippin’ finally got to it. It was magnificent indeedith and Sasuke is sporting a new outfit now. Whee!
Oh, at work I had read the manga ‘Absolute Boyfriend’ and I order you all to READ IT!! It’s amazing!! It’s so good with a really great storyline and it’s so funny. I like the character, Night and how he keeps taking his clothes off whenever Izawa is upset. Haha! I know, sounds weird but if you read the manga, it’s just priceless.
OH! And I need to mention that Gravitation has a novel now! I was opening up new boxes shipped to the store and when I opened that box filled with Gravitation novels…oh man, it was like those corn-ball moments where a light shines from above and little angels start singing. I put one aside for myself and read it and it’s really good so if you like Gravitation, then you should read that too.
Quote of the Day comes from Fruits Basket:
Shigure: “Well, if a beautiful girl like you enjoys them, then I suppose they don’t seem as silly. And being so lovely, I haven’t seen you around be—"
Yuki: *knocks him over the head with backpack* “Shigure, don’t be perverted.”
Shigure: “Ow Yuki, that really hurt. What do you have in there, a dictionary?”
Yuki: “Actually, TWO dictionaries.”
More prettiness from my new illustration idol, Yun Kouga. This is also from Earthian and I think the blonde dude looks like Legolas…even Jigglyness agrees^_^

So today at work, a guy was asking me where pharmaceutical technician review books were. He was going to be taking an exam and for those who don’t know, pharmaceutical are the people who…well, work at the pharmacy usually in drug stores. So, I show him where the books were and he comes up to me within a few minutes and asks, “Is there a Pharmacy Technician for Dummies book?” >_< Okay…buddy…don’t you ever come near my pills or be handing out my prescriptions. May as well ask for a Brain Surgery for Dummies book! Gah!!
So, remember my little mouse problem? Okay, let me begin by saying that I am a HUGE animal lover. My dad used to chase squirrels away from our house and I would yell at him for being cruel. HOWEVER, mice have a habit of chewing on things and the other night, my little mousy roommate was chewing and scratching on things that are in the near vicinity of my computer which obviously, could lead to a dangerous hazard. I had no choice but to put out a mousetrap. People say mousetraps are cruel…well, yeah, they DO kill the mouse but it kills them instantly. The traps that ARE cruel are the ones that have the glue on them which many mice suffocate to death and there’s also the poison which also kills the mouse slowly. They don’t sell the have-a-heart traps around here…since this is NYC. I did catch the mouse and had to clean up the blood>_< I felt horrible all day for killing it but it’s really a hazard to have a mouse running around and chewing on electric cords.
Here’s another illustration by the same creator of Loveless. This also comes from the Loveless art book but this image is from another manga by Yun Kouga called Earthian, I believe. SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I’m in the middle of watching Gravitation but I’ll put it on hold to update^_^ Who’s everyone’s favorite character for those who have seen it and/or read the manga? I know most like Yuki (why is it the hot ones are named Yuki^_~) but I like Shuichi the best. He’s so cute! Again…another character I adore who just-so happens to have lavender eyes. This is creepy.
I cleaned today. Whee. I’m very clean to begin with so this was just a sweep and mop of the floors and then I dusted. But there’s a flippin’ mouse living in my closet!!! Gah!!! I’m not terrified of mice or anything but it scares the crap out of me when I’m on the computer and I see this gray flash go streaking across the floors and under the door. That booger. I need to call Yuki from Fruits Basket to tell him to go away^_~
Oh, and I spent a lot of time scanning images from my Loveless artbook and I spent quite a few hours making a new wallpaper with Ritsuka and Soubi. Here’s a linky to it if you want to download it:
Quote of the Day comes from SNL:
*And now, Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey*
“Too bad you can’t just grab a tree by the very tiptop and bend it clear over the ground and then let her fly, because I bet you’d be amazed at all the stuff that comes flying out.”
And this scan of Soubi is just for you Jigglyness. I think he looks totally do-able in this image:

Mmmmm…I’m eating those new double-stuffed peanut butter Oreos…they’re orgasmic. My roomy better not eat any or I’m going to go Inuyasha on her ass.
Oh, and I uploaded the full-version of my FMA background you’re seeing here on my site into my wallpapers section so you can download it if you want:
And I never realized it but Adam, the owner of this site, had left a compliment on my other FMA wallie! I was tickled pink to see a comment from him!
Anyway, I had to go to Manhattan today to meet a friend. She had my remaining prints left-over from the anime convention so I was just picking them up. Since I was there right near Rockefeller Center, I decided to hit that Japanese bookstore I’m always raving about called KinoKuniya. I was hoping that they may perhaps have the Loveless artbook since I had seen it on e-bay once for like $50 but wasn’t willing to pay that much. So, I looked around for awhile but didn’t find it and was about to buy the Prince of Tennis artbook when low-and-behold…there was the Loveless artbook! I nearly did a back-flip I was so excited! They also have up to volume 6 of the manga there too!! I bought the artbook and oh god…it’s SO beautiful!!! I got all misty-eyed looking at the illustrations and I plan on doing some wallpapers from it. It’s a really thick book too and it even has illustrations from other mangas Yun Kouga has done.
Quote of the Day comes from my friend Gavin while talking to him on the phone:
Me: “There’s this girl at work that’s so much like me it’s scary. She’s like my non-twin twin.”
Gaving: “Kinky!”
Me: “Haha! I’m telling you, she’s my soul-mate!”
Gavin: “So, the bottom of your shoes are alike? That’s awesome.”
Haha! He’s such a smart-ass.
Here’s a scan from one of the images in the Loveless artbook. Jigglyness, I SO have a scan that I’m going to be posting just for you in the near future^_~

I went grocery shopping today and I was wheeling my little cart thingy back to my apartment and it hit a bump and tipped over. Man, like, a flock of guys came over to help me pick things up. It made me all blushy and I was thanking them. I must have been the damsel in distress to them. That just goes to show you…there are nice people in NYC^_~
So I watched Loveless today. Bloody brilliant anime! I don’t think they could have picked better voices to be the characters. I was getting all teary-eyed just listening to Ritsuka speak. I don’t think they had English voices on this DVD but I didn’t bother looking since the Japanese ones were flawless. I watched the 1st episode of Gravitation too and it was really cute. I know, watch out…possible yaoi fangirl alert^^ But hey, these animes do it really beautifully and Loveless somehow does it to a total art form. Even a guyfriend of mine admitted he didn’t mind the yaoi moments since it ties in so perfectly with the complex story.
And I finished another book today so I feel like I accomplished something^_^ And the heat is cranking in my apartment now. I put a wet, cold cloth over the censor to trick it to thinking it was colder in here then it really was so now it’s blissfully warm. My roomy came in and said it felt like hell…I’m a psycho that can have it be like, 90 degrees and I’d be comfortable. I need more meat on me bones. I need to move south…or somewhere else warm. Californians I’m looking in your direction…Anyone want to adopt me?
Watch out for Sasuke’s feather duster of DOOM!!

Brr!! I’m fudging cold! I had to wait outside for 15 minutes in the frigid, windy glory of NY. It was no fun. And it’s cold in my apartment so I’m wearing my scarf and 3 other layers of clothes and I’m still shivering. I may hop into the shower to warm up…or crank my heating blanket. I love my heating blanket.
So my soul-mate co-worker and I exchanged animes today. She loaned me Gravitation and Loveless and I loaned her Naruto. She was very excited because she was tired of watching the dubbed version of it. I’m very giddy. Especially because I have these next 3 days off so I’m going to have fun watching those.
OH! And remember that manga I was telling you guys about that reminded me of Fruits Basket called, ‘Ouran’s High School Host Club?’ Well, they’re making it into an anime!! SCWEE! I think it’s done by the same people as Fruits Basket too since the characters are drawn very similarly. And even the main hottie character looks like Yuki…except with dirty-blonde hair. He even has the lavender eyes. I love lavender eyes^_^ It’s being released in Japan in April, I believe so unfortunately, that means we may not see any subs of it for awhile. *pouts*
Quote of the Day comes from my co-worker, whose name is Merv:
Merv: *comes storming over to me* “I want to grab some matches, set fire to this store, lock the doors behind me, and watch everyone press their faces against the glass. And when the fire department comes, I’m grabbing a lawn chair and some popcorn.”
LOL! I love Merv. He said this in front of a group of customers too and they thought it was a riot. Anyone who has had to deal with customers will have to nod their heads to that comment.

Well, I just got back from work and thought I’d update^_^
Anyway, remember how my fellow co-worker and I spent 4 days categorizing and alphabetizing the manga section? Well, it still looks beautiful *grins* I think the manga/anime fans were just so happy that things were in order that they’ve done a great job putting things back where they belong. The sloppiest manga readers though, are the ones who read Yu-gi-oh and Rurouni Kenshin. I find those mangas all over the store.
The people who read the romance books are by far, the sloppiest people. 2nd sloppiest people, which I find quite ironic, are the Christian Inspiration/Bible section. Those people will just toss those books all over the place, rip open the wrapped bibles, and just lay them around. I think god would be peeved to see people messin’ with his books^_~
The most organized, will-put-books-back-where-they-belong people…are the Sci-fi/Fantasy readers. Heehee! I have no idea why I just shared this stuff with you guys. I think it’s because I’m running on fumes here.
And technically it’s Friday…PAYDAY!!!!!!
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs…I’ve used this quote before but I love it:
*The Warners are helping Michelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel:*
Yakko: “Wait a minute. You expect us poor, innocent children to climb up dangerous scaffolding and paint naked people all over a church?!!”
All 3 Warners: “We’ll do it!!!”
Gah! This game looks so AWESOME!! Me want!

I haven’t made an animated gif in so long! I hope you guys like this one of Sasuke-kun^_^
I watched the Naruto movie today and that gif is a part of it. I really liked the movie! I wasn’t expecting to be as good as it was since most movies from series don’t seem as good to me. This one was great though and the animation in the fight scenes…awesome. Nice and smooth and fluid. Naruto is such a go-getter…gotta love him. And it’s nice to see Sasuke showing respect to Naruto and Sakura. Heehee, the part at the end with the autograph he gets for Naruto…haha! It seemed nice but Sasuke was being a smart-ass.
I’m watching Olympic figure skating now and it made me look up since one of my fave songs from the Cd, Celtic Women just started playing with one of the skaters. *nods* That skater has good taste in music^_^
Quote of the Day comes from Robin Hood: Men in Tights:
Blinkin: This never would have happened if your father was alive.
Robin Hood: He's dead?
Blinkin: Yes.
Robin Hood: And my mother?
Blinkin: She died of pneumonia while - oh, you were away!
Robin Hood: My three brothers?
Blinkin: Died of the plague.
Robin Hood: My dog Pongo?
Blinkin: Run over by a carriage.
Robin Hood: My goldfish Goldie?
Blinkin: Eaten by the cat.
Robin Hood: My cat?
Blinkin: Choked on the goldfish. Oh, it's good to be home, ain't it, Master Robin?
I just got my hands on a couple beautiful images from Kingdom Hearts II. I’ll post the other one on my next update. SORA!! *pinches cheeks*

Boy was Otaku screwed up yesterday. I had tried to update but it didn’t work but it was still telling people I had updated but only my old post was showing up. Bah. It seems to be working now though.
I went to China Town today to see if they had the Loveless DVD but alas, they didn’t. I ended up buying the Naruto movie though as well as a set of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura figures. Man, they’re so hot looking. These are big figures too. This was my first time back in China Town since May of last year and when I went to the guy I always bought anime from, when he saw me, man, his eyes just lit up like candy. He was like “You’re back!! Welcome! Welcome!” And then he gave me a bouquet of Japanese lollipops. Heehee! Such a cute little Asian man *glomps him* He always gives me free stuff when I go to him.
I went to another anime store that sells regular movies too and they had the movie ‘Brokeback Mountain’ on DVD. So, I bought it and watched it today and it’s SO good! This movie is actually still in theaters…but China Town manages to un-officially get things. Like while watching Brokeback, the quality was DVD perfect and about an hour into it, along the bottom scrolls this: “This movie is made for award consideration only. Copies or sales of this film are illegal and should be reported if found.”
LOL!! I love China Town^_^ They also had Memoirs of a Geisha too. That was an amazing book but I heard the movie wasn’t as good.
Quote of the Day comes from the Simpsons:
* A group of natives have just helped build a church in their village:*
Native #1: “So, how often do we have to attend church to prevent eternal damnation?”
Native #2: “Every Sunday for the rest of our lives.”
Native #1: “Ah-hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!.......no, really?”
I hope I didn’t offend anyone with that quote, I just found it ever-so amusing. And this smexy picture from Loveless is dedicated to my honey bunny, jigglyness since we plan on kidnapping Soubi...although I adore Ritsuka too^_^:

I thought I’d update while my Ramen boils^_^ I’m glad to see Otaku is running again!
The other day at work, my soul-mate and I alphabetized the manga section. Oh man, it looks so beautiful. It took us FOUR days to do it. Not 4 days straight…obviously, just sorta off and on 2 hours a day. I would categorize the mangas and then Angelica would alphabetize. You should have seen it before we did it though. It was a complete and total wreck. All throughout the day, the customers were going, “OMG! They fixed the manga!!” Our sales of manga has risen since we did it too! Makes sense since now people can find things and it just plain is more eye-pleasing when they’re grouped together, neh?
And speaking of manga, I just started another manga that’s really good/interesting called ‘Ouran High School Host Club.’ It’s really funny and cute and it reminds me a LOT of Fruits Basket. They even have a character just like Momiji and another much like Yuki. It’s good so I recommend giving it a whirl if you happen to spot it^^
Oh and for those who don’t know, if you go to Barnes & Noble and they don’t have the book/manga you want, you CAN order it for free and it gets shipped to the store and they’ll reserve it for you for 48 hours. I recommend doing that since I work at B&N and it makes things convenient for the customer so they’re not constantly coming back to the store hoping something has been ordered plus, you’ll get a BRAND-NEW copy that hasn’t been touched by other customers^_^
Well, my Ramen is done. Time for me to get my sodium for the day!
