Mmmmm…I’m eating Milk Duds right now. Sticky little buggers but oh so yummy.
I went shopping today to use my gift cards I got for Christmas. I bought the 7th season of The Simpsons, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman(how many of you used to watch that show? I had SUCH a crush on Dean Cain), 2 games for my Gameboy Advance which are Donkey Kong 2(I used to play that game on Super Nintendo ALL the time with my best friend) and Ducktales(I used to own this game on the original Nintendo!) and 2 Cd’s which are Pure Moods 2 and Pure Moods 4. I already have the first Pure Moods CD…has anyone ever heard it before? You’d probably remember it…it has the type of music that wraps itself around you and has a field day with your senses. I always get shivers with that type of music.
My parents and I met up with my uncle, aunt, and grandma at Outback Steakhouse. I got this chicken dinner with cheese, bacon and mushrooms(yeah, no calories there) and it was SO good. We had to return something at Wal-Mart so we went there and I went to use the bathrooms and oh my god…most disgusting bathrooms…EVER!!! It was like, cartoon bathroom disgusting when they try and make them look really gross. *shudder*
Quote of the Day comes from The Simpsons:
*On a commercial for a video game*
Santa: “Tell your parents, ‘Buy me BoneStorm or GO TO HELL!!’”
Bart: *runs up to Marge* “Buy me BoneStorm or go to hell!”
Marge: “BART!”
Homer: “Young man, in this house we have a little saying called, ‘please.’”

Sorry that I wasn’t here the last couple days. I try not to do that but my friends dragged me out Monday night and I didn’t get home till late when I usually update. Anyway, I want to thank everyone who sent me Christmas cards!! I wont be uploading everyone’s cards though because I’m on dial-up and it would take too long for me to upload them and then I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to view my own page. So, I wish to thank the following people for sending me a card:
lovealchemist69, Conneryalexis, NittlerGrasper, samtheturk, chubbie chibbies, chichirocks, sesslover18, Kurayami Chan, Blue Angel4, Hazel Keys1985, windsar00, Rurounigirl123, somegirl, Inuyasha311, frogger99, indifference, WitchHunerfan, fma124, Anoel, tinkerbell1991, Mysterious Shadow, chihiro7, animegirl167, RhinoaSquall4ever, angieanime, Saru-Miha, yuripriss, EdwardElricFan, Sonics Dark Soul5, lilanimelover, bladesofice, FullMetalMonkey, Easterwong415, jigglyness, and Princess of Mer.
And I would like to thank these people for sending me birthday cards:
lovealchemist69, zero li enna, Rikkuheart, spirit gun2, Sakura5, roboartemis,frogger99, Blue Angel4, Rurounigirl123, and indifference.
Whew! I hope I got everyone! Thanks again!^_^
Anyway, so what was the #1 most loved gift you guys got for Christmas? Heehee, mine is probably my Seinfeld DVD’s. I was disappointed when I opened them Christmas morning and saw I only got Season 5 when I had been begging for 5 & 6. Turns out my dad didn’t realize that both seasons weren’t in one box. Heh, old people don’t know anything^_~ But he’s picking me up Season 6 later but then, Tuesday, I got all excited to watch some Seinfeld, I popped in the DVD and it didn’t work!! I got a faulty disk! Son of a batch of cookies! It was the disk with the ‘puffy shirt’ episode too:-( My dad is taking that back too and getting me a new set.
I also got the Fruits Basket calendar I asked for. It has that picture too, when Tohru sees the boy’s naked for the first time after they transform. Heehee! A whole month of that? Man, I can’t way for May to get here^_~ Oh! And I was watching Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and one of the questions was “Which of these animals is not part of the Chinese Zodiac?” And it listed the Rat, Ox, Swan, and Sheep and I was like, oh oh!! I know! Heehee, thank you Fruits Basket for teaching me…to bad I wasn’t on the show, I could have won some money!
Quote of the Day comes from Mystery Science Theater 3000:
*Crow and Tom Servo are complaining about how old Mike’s Encyclopedia’s are*
Crow: “Yeah, and here’s an entire section on ‘Our deadly foe, the dinosaurs.’”
Mike: “Okay you belly-achers, I got you a brand-spanking new set of Encyclopedias each page with an internet link so you can constantly update them.”
Tom Servo: “Wow, these are incredible up-to-date!”
Crow: “Wow, 27 pages on Gwen Steffani alone!”
Mike: “Well, I guess I more then answered your Encyclopedia grievances.”
Crow and Tom Servo: “……NO!”
Tom: “It was way more fun to complain about the old ones then to have new ones.”
Crow: “Yeah, I miss complaining already.”

MERRY CHISTMAS!!!
I honestly don’t think too many people will be around today but still, may as well hop on in the hopes others are around^^ Well, that and I’m updating at midnight so it doesn’t really feel like Christmas yet. For those who have already opened their presents from Santa I hope you got everything you asked for!
I just finished wrapping all the gifts I’m passing out so my legs are all cramped since I tend to sit cross-legged when doing things. I had to work Christmas Eve and boy-howdy were the grocery stores MOBBED! I usually only have to do the merchandising for 4 stores but because they were so crazy, I had to visit a couple twice because our merchandise had run out! Those crazy holiday shoppers.
Saturday evening I watched ‘A Christmas Story’ since TBS is playing that movie for 24 hours straight. It’s a cute movie but ‘National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation’ is my all-time fave holiday movie^^
Anywho, I know you guys are going to be busy today and I’m going to be going out later too to my grandmother’s so I’ll be shutting up. I hope everyone had a great Holiday!!
Quote of the Day comes from The Simpson:
Marge: “Don’t make me use a stricter punishment on you.”
Bart: *sarcastically* “Oh, what are you going to do?”
Marge: “I’ll erase all your downloaded ring tones and your Playstation memory card.”
Bart: “NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!”

Thanks to everyone who looked at my drawing yesterday! I appreciate that^_^ I went and bought a matte and a frame for it so I can have it all nice and pretty when I give it to my bro and sister-in-law for Christmas. Boy, was it crowded at them stores! Not surprising since those last minute shoppers are on the prowl.
YES! Glad so many of you remembered Ducktales when I mentioned it. Many said they were amazed my friend found it to buy it for me for my birthday but actually, Disney recently released it on DVD so it’s not that hard to find. I watched a bunch of it today and I must discuss something…I think some of you are going to think I’m officially nuts after this but I can’t help noticing things especially after I took a History of Animation class in college^_^ Anyway, today, I would say many of you would agree that Disney isn’t all that grand anymore. They make pretty crappy looking shows and their movies aren’t all that cracked up to what they used to be. Just watching my Ducktales DVD’s, I was just so wowed by the amount of effort Disney used to put into their older cartoons! This show ran from 1987 to…about early 90’s I’m guessing and I just kept noticing the amazing backgrounds and the fluid style of the characters! Yes, I even took screencaps of the episodes to emphasize my point:
Just look at that background!! This was back before computer art was used so this was all done by hand.
Here’s another:
This one more-so wows me by the camera angle. This is a shot of the characters climbing up a cliff towards the viewer. Unlike anime(which does often have nice angles) this animation is clean and fluid in that many more animation cels and artwork are involved at making the characters movement appear more life-like and…well, animated! Something that isn’t done anymore sadly since things are going to computer art. A little fact is that the show Animaniacs was the last cartoon created that was drawn and colored entirely by hand and used the fluid animation like the classic Looney Tunes cartoons.
Okay, sorry for that little discussion there. I just don’t think older cartoons like these are given the credit they should be. Plus, how many of you had a little blast from the past looking at those screencaps?^_~
Quote of the Day comes from ‘Robin Hood: Men in Tights:’
Maid Marian: “Oh, darling, don't despair! For it is written on a scroll: ‘One day, he, who is destined for me, shall be endowed with a magical key, that will bring an end to my... virginity.’”
Robin Hood: “Oh, Marian, if only 'twere me.”
Maid Marian: “Oh, if 'twere you, 'twould be... twerrific.”

Wow! Thanks so much everyone for your kind birthday wishes!^_^ I appreciate all the cards I received too. I haven’t been able to look at any of them yet because I spent all yesterday just responding to all the comments I got on my last post but I’ll look through them today. I literally got 2 pages full of my inbox of b-day cards. I feel special^_^
Oh, and I finished the Christmas gift for my brother and sister-in-law and I decided to upload it into my gallery since, like many of you said, “art is art” and it’s one of my styles of drawing so…why not?! If people have a problem that it’s not anime then…well, they need to start broadening their horizons. Anywho, just click the thumby of it below to see the full-sizer:
And if anyone was curious, her name is Harley and she’s actually a full-grown boxer but she’s really small and she never grew out of her puppy features. Makes her that much cuter!
Anyway, my birthday party was so much fun!! It was wonderful to have all my friends there. My parents whipped out the alcohol too(we’re all legal so don’t look at me in that tone of voice). My friend, Gavin, who I always talk about, got totally wasted. I didn’t and no one else really did, just him. He becomes quite the philosopher when he has liquor in him. He went into quite some detail how a pirate would be even more bad-ass if his peg leg doubled as a gun.
I got some nice gifts too! I got lots of good anime goodies from my friends from Kenshin to Inuyasha and I got the 1st season of Ducktales from my friend Tyler. Yes, Ducktales…the old Disney cartoon from when I was a younging. That was during the same era as Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers! Memories…
Many people said on my last post, “man if must be awesome to have your birthday right near Christmas.” Heh, anyone who has their b-day near X-mas knows how much it sucks. We get jipped. I remember one year, my parents grabbed a present from under the x-mas tree and handed it to me as a b-day gift>_< We also get a lot of, “here’s your Christmas/birthday present.” Again…>_<.
No quote of the day, I figure I’ve gone on long enough on this post^_~

The realistic drawing I’m doing of my brother and sister-in-law’s doggy is almost done. I don’t know if I’ll upload it into my gallery or just post a sampler of it on my post. What do you guys think? It’s not anime but I know many people upload things that aren’t anime and I know it doesn’t personally bother me but I didn’t know what others thought.
Today is my birthday (I feel so old! *wheep*) and I’m having a little schindig at my house with some of my pals. I think it will be fun since these are my bestest pals and we have lots of fun just hanging out and talking and vegging and all that. We’re going to rent the movie Jack Frost because it is a HORRIBLE movie and we enjoy watching crappy movies just to laugh at them. I’ll probably whip out some Mystery Science Theater 3000 too. That show is the BEST to watch at parties and with big groups of people. More often then not someone will be spitting out soda because the show is so hilarious. My friend Tyler is bringing over ‘The 40 Year Old Virgin’ which I’ve been dying to see. YAY!
Quote of the Day comes from The Simpsons:
*The family is all at the table eating dinner*
Homer: “Can someone pass me the ketchup?”
*Bart smacks it over to him but Lisa catches it*
Lisa: “You’ll have to try harder then that if you’re going to beat our team tomorrow.”
*Bart smacks over the mustard nearly hitting Lisa and Homer catches it*
Homer: *looking at bottle* “I asked for ketchup not mustard. I’m eating salad here!”

Wow, glad so many of you enjoyed the quote from my last post^^ Yes, Yuki and Kyou will forever annoy each other so therefore be forever entertaining for the rest of us^_~ Yuki is passive and Kyou is aggressive to that makes a great combo. Mmmm…those pizza combos are the best.
Anywho, today I worked on a photorealism drawing I’m giving to my older brother and sister-in-law for Christmas. It’s a drawing of their boxer doggy and she’s so uber cute and uber spoiled so I’m sure they’ll like it. I’ll show you guys the final piece once completed.
While drawing it, I watched a little of one of my fave shows, Mystery Science Theater 3000 and this cracked me up:
The main bad guy wants to take over the world so he creates this animal that is the essence of cuteness so whenever anyone sees it, they’ll fall in love with this animal to the point where they’ll do anything for it and so when he takes the creature away, they’ll do whatever the guy says to get it back. Anyway, this creature he creates is basically just a pink fluffy, hairball with eyes but the name of it is the best part…they named it “Nummy Muffin KooKoo Butter.” Hahahahaha! I don’t know why but that name makes me giggle whenever I hear it…especially because the one’s saying it are guys and one of them has it taken away from him so he sings an entire song about it. Heehee!^_^
Quote of the Day, once again, comes from Fruits Basket:
*Shigure offers to pick up the kid’s homework from school*
Shigure: “Well, I’m off! Take good care of Yuki while I’m gone.”
Tohru: “Okay, and thank you so much!” (to herself) “It’s so nice of him to do this. Shigure can be so selfless at times. He’s always thinking about others.”
Shigure: *walking down the street singing* “High school girls! High school girls! All for me, high school girls!”
Heehee! I’m the year of the dog too. Woof.

Well, it’s 5:40am and I got ready for work early this morning so I thought I’d update. I hope this post is semi-coherent since I’m not usually with it so early in the morning.
I got an e-mail from the person who’s making my Tifa costume and it’s all done and she’s shipped it out to me! Yay! It’s coming from Japan but she sent it Airmail and it should be here between 7-14 days. I can’t wait to get it and try it on and stuff. I hope if I go to an anime convention I meet a hot Cloud or a sexy Kadaj. I’d totally nab them for a picture since we’re all in the Advent Children group.
Hmph, I get to go to work soon and listen to non-stop Christmas music. Yay. I do the merchandising for my company at 4 different stores and I swear, they all play the same songs in an on-going loop. Normally, I don’t mind X-mas songs but at 6:30am I’m not as chipper and it starts to nerve me after awhile. I’ve heard the song ‘White Christmas’ so many times I think my head is going to pop. That and the song from Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer when Santa is singing, ‘I’m the King of Jingling.’ Heh, after awhile it sounds rather perverted. I know, bad me!
Quote of the Day comes from Fruits Basket:
Kyou: “I’m going to wipe that smug little smirk off your face! Yeah, then you’ll be sorry and I’ll make you say it!”
Yuki: “I’m sorry.”
Kyou: “Shuttup! You’re a real wise-ass, you know that?!”
Yuki: “At least I’m not the noisy idiot making a scene in front of the store.”
Kyou: “Oh, that’s it girly-boy, we’re taking this outside!!”
Yuki: “We are already outside, you stupid cat.”
Heehee! Yuki, a wise-ass? Never^_~

I totally jinxed myself the other day when I complained about how it was 8 degrees outside. When we left Wednesday morning to go to NYC, it was -10!! Yes, a 10 with a minus before it. It stayed in the negative digits till mid-afternoon.
It warmed up to about 12 degrees once in the city but the wind didn’t feel too nice. I got to see the apartment I’ll be moving into and it’s a good size so we’re deciding what furniture I can take and what-not. We’re having a big snow/ice storm right now and I can hear the ice clanking on the windows. The electricity better not go out! *shakes fist*
I got to see King Kong Wednesday night when I got back from the city and it was so good! I figured it would be good, but I didn’t think it would be *that* good. Even if a person says they didn’t like the original King Kong, I’m 99.8% sure you’d like this one. The computer graphics are down-right phenomenal. It’s really sad though and the whole group of us were all wheepy at the end. I was the only one who didn’t cry but I rarely cry in public so I stayed strong. If I had watched the movie by myself though I’d be crying like a madwoman. Kinda like when I saw the anime ‘Grave of the Fireflies,’ when I watched it alone I was crying for a good 10 minutes but when I watched it with my friends, they all cried but I didn’t. My friend’s call it the ‘Elvish stone-cold face.’ Feh!^_~
Quote of the Day comes from King Kong:
*The group are on the tropical island and they’ve just found a gigantic human-like footprint:*
Lumpy: “There’s only one creature that could make a footprint that big…*looks around and takes a long puff from his cigarette*…“The abominable snow man.”

I’m going to New York City tomorrow(well today by the time some read this) to check out the apartment I’m most likely moving into. NYC is about 3 ½-4 hours away from where I’m living now. If I decide to take it, then I’ll probably be moving in late December. I’m most looking forward to having high speed internet again! I’ve had enough of this dial-up crap.
My dad’s driving me and I’m hoping we get back home in the early evening because my friends and I may be going to see King Kong. I want to see that movie SO bad! It’s directed by my buddy Peter Jackson who brought Lord of the Rings to life so it’s probably a winner! Oh and when I mentioned about when I saw Chronicles of Narnia people said that it was directed by Peter Jackson…it actually wasn’t. I don’t know why people thought Narnia was directed by Jackson. It was directed by Adam Adamson.
I went Christmas shopping Tuesday. I figured if I go in the early afternoon and being a Tuesday, it probably wouldn’t be crowded…heh, boy was I wrong. I hate crowds, then again, who does like crowds? I got some awesome sale prices though! Anyone else still have X-mas shopping to do?
I got the Chronicles of Narnia soundtrack(some may remember how I was bitching about the fact that they released the soundtrack later then the movie) and it’s great! I really like the music but I had such a time trying to peel that stupid wrapper off! You know the one that’s under the main wrapper? The sticky one? Grrrr…It did not want to come off. The soundtrack also states on the front it comes with a “Limited Edition 3-D Cover.” Limited edition to how many I wonder? Like 8 million or something. It’s amazing how people are more suckered into buying things when “Limited Edition” is stamped on it. It’s pretty and all but I didn’t buy it for the 3D cover^_~
Oh and it was a whole 8 degrees today too. I think it’s down to 2 degrees or something now. Brrrrr!!!
Mmmmm…Cloud.
