Thanks to everyone who left feedback for my Yuki/Ayame drawing! It’s very helpful. Thanks to those who voted too^^ People seem to like the hair and clothes best which is good since those were the parts I altered the most in coloring style. Yuki’s hair still gets 8 shades of color in it…his hair is a pain since it’s an odd-ball color but it’s pretty so it’s all good. *pets hair* A couple people on Deviant have actually asked me if they can use this drawing as a basis for a fanfiction! I think it’s pretty cool that just the image I drew of them have sparked ideas for stories.
I was at my friend Gavin’s house and he’s been working on an oil painting for a class so oil paints and such are lying around everywhere. Well, Gavin has two cats and Gavin had left his pallet of oil paints on one of the chairs and his black cat jumped onto the chair and got a blob of yellow paint on his tummy! And the thing with oil paints is that water doesn’t wash it off since it’s oil-based so Gavin was trying to use Dawn dish cleaner to wipe it off and it just kept globbing up. We could have used Terpenoid(which is like turpentine)on it but we didn’t want to poison the cat so we had to resort to the last possible thing…we had to shave the fur off the cat>_< My other friend Tyler held the cat while Gavin got out the electric shaver and shaved the fur off where the oil paint was. Luckily, it was only on a section of the stomach and I’m telling you, the cat was not too happy about it. I was laughing the whole time since I find situations like that highly amusing^_^
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
Satan: “Through these doors is a fate worse then death. The sole appearance will make even the strongest cower in fear and pray for mercy.”
Yakko: “Cher?”
Satan: “Worse.” *opens door as Boloney(Animaniacs version of Barney the Dinosaur)comes walking out of the shadows*
Boloney: “Well, hi-ya kids!! Let’s hug! Hugs make me feel all warm and yum yum doodle-dum inside!”
Yakko, Wakko and Dot: “AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!”

I finished the Yuki and Ayame Elf drawing! Usually, I just post a section of the drawing to lure you guys into seeing the full-sizer but I’m going to give you a thumby of the over-all piece. I still hope you guys will click on it and vote/comment on the art itself and to see the border-line psychotic details I put into it^_^:
Some people say they don’t comment on my art anymore because there’s nothing more for them to say. Well, I respect that but when people tell me specifically what they like or do not like in my drawings, it only helps me improve! Like with this one, I altered the way I color quite a bit to fit what people have commented on in the past. Know what I mean, jelly beans?^^
I saw Chronicles of Narnia Saturday. Yes…it was delightful. I thought it was great and the final battle scene..oh…so many goosebump occurrences. Reminded me a lot of Lord of the Rings which certainly is not a bad thing. My friend and I then went to Circuit City to buy the soundtrack since the music was lovely…but they don’t actually sell the soundtrack till Tuesday! What the heck?! They only are selling ‘Music inspired by’ soundtracks but it’s not from the movie itself. *huff*
In honor of my Yuki/Ayame elf drawing, the Quote of the Day comes from our very own elf and dwarf duo from Lord of the Rings:
Legolas: “So, it’s a drinking game?”
Men of Rohan: “YEAH!!”
Legolas: “And what exactly is the point of this?”
Gimli: “Last one standing wins.”
*Many MANY drinks later…*
Legolas: “I feel something…a slight tingle in my fingers….I think it’s affecting me.”
Gimli: *very slurred* “Hahahaha! What did I say? He can’t hold his liquor.” *collapses onto floor*
Legolas: “Game over.”

How many of you are seeing the Chronicles of Narnia today? I wanted to see it today but my friend’s and my own schedule aren’t coordinating for today so we’re seeing it Saturday afternoon when I finish work. I hope I’m still awake by the time we see it since I start work at 6:30am>_< Hmmmm…I had something more to say but I lost my train of thought…hate when that happens. I think I’m getting alzheimer’s early. Oh! I remember one thing, the drawing is close to getting complete since I got Yuki and Ayame done and now I just have to do their weapons and the background. I still am not sure what I’m doing for the backgroundO_o I have an idea of what I want to do but we’ll see what my wittle brain comes up with. It’s got to be something mystical to match their elf aura and Yuki’s fascinated expression^_~
We’re supposed to get a snow storm tonight. Feh! My poor car is going to get buried. It’s really freakin’ cold too(thanks a lot Canada for blowing that crap our way^_~). We already have snow on the ground but I guess Mother Nature wants to give us more. I wish I could tell her “no thanks” but I don’t think she’d listen. Whoa…I just sneezed and now I’m all light-headed….okay, better now. Let’s see, I watched some more Naruto today…boy, poor Sasuke…ouch man, ouch.
Quote of the Day comes from the movie, The Three Amigos:
Ned: “How are we going to get over that wall, Lucky? It must be at least 30 feet high!”
Lucky: “Well, I guess we’re just going to have to use our brains.”
Ned & Dusty: “……..Damn it.”

I’m glad you guys like the Elf Yuki/Ayame line-art from last post. Some said they know it’s going to be their favorite piece of mineO_O Gee, no pressure or anything, thanks a lot guys^_~ I’m hoping to have it done sometime this weekend. So far, I only have the skin colored and this is rather odd, but I got one of those “True Light” light bulbs for my desk lamp and wowey does it make a difference. It’s a lot nicer then the standard yellow bulbs I was using before. I can’t believe it took me this long to buy those bulbs. Hm…bulbs is a funny sounding word…oh and I forgot to mention the medium I used for the line-art was a standard Bic pen like all my other drawings. Each time I post a line-art I fail to mention it and each time I’m asked if it was done on the computer>_< Feh, this one does not use computers for her artworks except to add the username along the bottom.
What is it with penguins lately? It seems like everyone is obsessed with penguins all of a sudden. They were in two movies recently and then I saw a trailer for another penguin movie done in CG and then I see them in the Coca-cola ads with the polar bears and then they’re in those Duracell commercials and now they keep being featured on Animal Planet! I mean, seriously, what’s the deal with penguins lately?! It’s not like penguins are new to this planet or anything and I admit they’re cute but c’mon! I think other animals are better. I love meerkats. That’s the animal Timon from The Lion King is. They’re so cute!
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
*Yakko and Wakko are playing with a head statue of Dr.Scratchnsniff:*
Wakko: “Oh look, I giant Pez dispenser! Want one?”
Yakko: “Please.”
Dr.Scratchnsniff: “STOP PLAYING WITH MY BUST!!”
Yakko: *Looks at camera and blows kiss* “Goodnight everybody!”
Heehee! Can’t get away with that stuff in today’s cartoons that’s for sure!:-P

I finished the line-art part of my Yuki and Ayame Elf drawing today and here it be:
Since they’re standing so close to each other, it’s probably hard to tell what part is coming out of who but when I color it, that will solve that problem. Like that jumble of cloth by Yuki’s right hand…that’s actually the back of Ayame’s arm and the little straight-line coming out of…um…ah heck, coming out of Yuki’s crotch section, is the string of his bow. When I color it, I plan on putting the Elvish writing on their weapons as well as their wrist bracers. I have yet to figure out what the heck to put in the background though>_< With Yuki, I figure if he ever had long elf-hair he would tie it back out of this face unlike Ayame who’d be letting it swish all over the place since it looks pretty^_^ Looking at it now, Ayame’s long curved blade looks sorta like a rifleO_o. That should improve when I color it…hopefully.
I hope you guys like it so far. I haven’t done a pure profile drawing since my early Inuyasha/Kagome piece. I think profile drawings are easier but I know others would argue with my opinion^_~
So, I really did nothing today other then draw and do laundry. Exciting. I was eating Spicy Nacho Doritoes(my favey!) and the phone rang so I put the bowl down where I was sitting and I come back and my cat was eating my chips! Blast it all. I should have known better since my cat loves Doritoes. He’s quite the provocative cat…I finished the chips anyway. Heh…well, I’m not going to waste Doritoes! Feh!
Quote of the Day comes from Robin Hood: Men in Tights:
*For those who haven’t seen this movie, the character Blinkin is blind:*
Ahchoo: [after Blinkin catches an arrow] “Blinkin! How did you do that?”
Blinkin: “I heard that coming a mile away.”
Robin Hood: “Right-o Blinkin, very good.”
Blinkin: “What? Who's talking?”

Glad you guys liked the Tifa costume from my last post. Ain’t it pretty? I’ve already got my first anime convention lined up!! It’s called Vericon and it’s January 27th at Harvard near Boston so it’s not too far from me. Yippee!!
Friday I tried out the job with my brother and I decided I could handle it. I had to do lots of heavy lifting but I wore my wrist brace and I was fine. The rest of my body is killing me but this is only a weekend job so I have the weekdays to heal^_~ Oh, the job I’m doing is the merchandising for a company called A.L.George. My bro is actually my boss. Heh. And yes, this is the same brother that is 30 but acts like an eight year old. He’s very protective of me and most workers in this field are men and when they were asking who the “new girl” was my brother got all serious and would say, “my little sister.” In other words, “you bother her, I’ll kill you.” He’s a good big bro^^
The biggest turn of events happened Friday night. To sum up, I’m moving back to New York City by January. I went to college in NYC so I’m used to it and a college bud of mine had her two roommates bail on her so she’s stuck trying to afford rent by herself(which in NYC is INSANE) so she asked if I was still looking for a roomie to split the apartment with her and I agreed to move in. This apartment is 2 blocks from the college I went to, it’s in a safe neighborhood plus, it’s only 1 block from my 2 other best buddies from college! Those 2 buddies were the ones that introduced me fully to anime so it’s all their fault I’m now obsessed with it^_~
Quote of the Day comes from Naruto Episode #38:
*(Don’t worry this doesn’t contain a spoiler)Later in the series, one learns that Kakashi has a little rival with another ninja named Guy Sensei:*
Guy Sensei: “Your team is pretty good. Perhaps they were lucky but as long as my team is here, they can’t go any further. Since in the next stage, personal ability is critical. Youth is sweet and sour and sometimes strict, Kakashi.”
Kakashi: “………………..hm? Did you say something?”
Guy Sensei: “OH MY GOD!”
And how many of you noticed the new music? Those who have been able to hear it, I mean^_^ It's Inuyasha's, Kagome's, and Kikyou's theme rendered together in Premiere^^

I’m so excited! There’s this Tifa costume(Tifa is from Final Fantasy VII for those who don’t know) that’s been on E-bay that I’ve been dying to have and I just won it! YAY! I’ve never been to an anime convention or a cosplay or anything but I’ve been wanting to go to one to sell my artwork and now that I have a rockin’ costume I can’t wait! Here’s the costume front and back:
I really wanted this one because it’s made of a much nicer material then the others listed on E-bay and this person will custom-make them to fit my measurements. Lucky me I have a good Tifa body…minus the gargantuan boobies^_~ A guy friend of mine said, “yeah, you don’t have boobs like that because you’re human.” Heehee! Anyway, whenever I wear it to a convention I’ll be sure and snap pictures to show you all how it looks^_^ This Tifa costume is also based on Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children more-so then the game version.
I may have a new job lined up. It’s doing the same thing my older brother is doing so tomorrow I get to work along-side him. I saw I “may” have it lined up because I, myself, am testing whether or not I can handle this job because it often requires lifting heavy things and I’m fairly weak. Plus, my left-wrist(my dominant one) had surgery on it earlier this year and it still gives me pains now and then so this job may put too much pressure on it. It’s only a weekend job but it pays REALLY well so, we’ll see how it goes. I have to get up early though. *weeps* My bed is going to feel awfully lonely in the morning.
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
*The Warners are annoying Dracula and so Dracula decides he’s going to his coffin to get some sleep.*
Dracula: “Ah, peace at last.” *opens coffin to find the Warners inside* “AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!”
Yakko, Wakko, and Dot: *cough cough cough cough cough cough cough*
Yakko: “Hast thou any coffin drops?”
*Ba-doom-doomp-chink*^_^
And many mentioned yesterday they didn’t know Kenshin had a son. Indeedith he does and like I said, his name is Kenji but you don’t meet him till the 3rd Samurai X OVA. In the image below, Kenji is the shorter boy and that’s an older Yahiko behind him^^

Tuesday night, my friends and I were watching the Tiny Toon’s movie…I know, once again…bad asses to the EXTREME! I forgot just how good old cartoons back then were. Then again, Tiny Toons and Animaniacs were directed by Steven Spielberg so how can they not be good? I forgot that at the end credits of these 2 shows, they used to have little funny things thrown in there. Like during the end credits of Tiny Toons, it said “And thus ends the credits.” And then it scrolls a little further down and it’s followed by, “We lied” and then it has even more credits after that. HAHA! Animaniacs used to always have those too. I remember they had nutrition facts of the show once. Heehee! I love early 90’s cartoons.
Last night while hanging out with my friends, they informed me of an anime store that is located in our areaO_O…and WHY did they FAIL to EVER mention this before?! Gah, they all said, “well, I thought you knew about it!” >_< No excuse. So today we went to it! It’s called ‘Made in Japan’ and hot diggity I was in heaven. I bought a Fruits Basket and Angel Sanctuary poster, as well as a Kenji figure(Kenji is Himura Kenshin’s son) and a Inuyasha “mystery figure” in which you don’t know which character you get till you open the box. I got Miroku^_^ The best part of this store is they have an art contest every month!! SHAZAAM! You get $10 store credit every month you win so guess where my work will be competing every month? My friends just turned to me and said, “yeah, you’ll be winning every month.” Ain’t that sweet and hey, who’s to refuse $10 for anime goodies?!
Oh and I uploaded the Final Fantasy VIII drawing into my gallery so if you would like to take a look at the bigger version and/or vote and comment, I would be ever-so pleased^_^
Clicky-poo!
Let’s hope the flamers and tracer accusers leave me alone. I make it clear a picture reference was used so hopefully they’ll be nice*crosses fingers* I also told a little white-lie when I said it was done for a friend rather then the fact I was paid to do this piece. But I sorta know the customer since she’s had me do drawings for her in the past. Shhhh…our little secret^_~

Sorry, late posting at 1:30am. Anyway, wow...I was amazed at the amount of responses I received from my drawing on the last post saying that I should submit it to my fanart gallery and forget about the "tracing accusers." I think the biggest kick in the butt was the last comment made by RenoTheTurk who said if I didn't submit it to my gallery, I'd be letting a lot of my fans downO_O Wow...I just never really thought of it like that. Perhaps I will submit it to my gallery and say as so many others said, "SCREW THEM!" Maybe I'll have it submitted by tomorrow, I'll let everyone know. Thanks guys! *sniff* I feel loved^_^
Anyway, now that I finished that drawing I’m going to be starting the Yuki and Ayame elf drawing next! I have it all planned out compositionally in my head so I’m all excited to start it. I’ll post the line-art of it when I finished that much.
Monday I applied to two art stores. One is ACMoores and the other is Michaels so I’m hoping to be able to do some part-time work soon. I had applied to ACMoores a couple years ago but never got hired…psh, I guess they don’t want actual ARTISTS working in an ART store. I hated going to ACMoores and asking an employee about the difference between certain pencils and just getting a blank stare.
Oh! And many people asked what the movie RENT was about when I mentioned I had seen it. It’s based on the Broadway musical and to sum it up(I’m not great at summaries) but it’s about a group of friends who live in New York City in 1989 and trying to be able to afford living in their apartments…hence the title, RENT. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg because the main points of the story is that the majority of this group has AIDS and it’s about coping with their disease and staying together as a family. It’s just a really great musical and the songs are so freakin’ catchy!
Quote of the Day comes from a night with my friends:
Danny: “Jay Leno scares me with that big-a## chin of his. I swear he’s in-bred.”
Gavin: “You know what else is in-bred?”
Me: “What?”
Gavin: “Yeast.”
Hahahahaha! Get it? In-bred…bred…bread…oh, I’m so easily amused.

Is anyone else having this problem? I was going through my comments from my last post this afternoon and visiting sites and it said I had 13 pages of comments. Tonight when I went back to my comments to see if anyone else had come it said I had 14 pages but the comments said they were made yesterday. And then when commenting on some people’s sites, it said they had 6 comments or something but when I went to comment, it said they didn’t have any. Is anyone else getting that?
Some may remember last week or so I mentioned I was working on a commission drawing of Rinoa and Squall from Final Fantasy VIII. Many got really excited about it but I said not to get too excited because the person wanted me to work off a picture and it’s probably the most popular image of these 2. I really don’t like working from pictures anymore because I find it so boring but the customer REALLY wanted this image and she wanted it to be in black and white but have the feathers be in shades of pinks and lavenders. So here’s the finish piece:
For those who don’t know, black and white pencil work was the only medium I worked with for many years. It wasn’t till a little over a year ago that I started using color. I wont be uploading this into my FanArt gallery though because people through a hissy fit when I upload something that is re-drawn from a picture and then I’m accused of tracing>_< Even if it was traced(WHICH IT WAS NOT!) how the heck do you “trace” the shading? Feh! I’ll be uploading this onto my official website though soon so you guys can see a bigger version of it. Oh and yes, I got paid handsomely for this one. Wohoo, I have even more money to buy X-mas gifts for people.
The kind of pencils I used for it were woodless graphite pencils HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B.
Oh, and I saw the movie RENT Saturday and it was really good! I saw it with a guyfriend and he was crying at the end and I was really fighting to hold back the tears too^_~ The music is so awesome. I burned the soundtrack from him…I mean…I totally borrowed it and was just creating a back-up of the CD’s for him….yes…that’s it…*shifty eyes*
