On my last post, many commented, “I’m glad you liked the new Harry Potter movie!” When I said that the movie was “entertaining...but the story was lacking in anything significant in my mind,” that wasn’t a compliment^_~ If a person slipped and fell in front of me, that’s entertaining so…saying something is entertaining isn’t always the best point. Was I glad I saw it? Sure. Would I ever spend another 2 ½ hours of my life seeing this movie again? No.

Did everyone have a dandy-pants Thanksgiving? Mine was fine. Went to my grandmother’s house like every other year and there was about 20 relatives there. All us “younger people” had to sit at the extra table while the “old people” ate at the main table. The highlight of the meal is when we asked for some rolls and they started tossing them at us like footballs. My brother kept poking me with a fork and stealing my spoon too>_< Do I have to remind people my brother is 30 but acts like an 8 year old?
I think I ate too much turkey because I fell asleep twice that afternoon which is rare for me because I never take naps. Or…it could be because I only got about 3 hours sleep the night before…hmmmmm.
There was a pretty bad snow storm up here too and on the drive home we saw a lot of accidents along the highway. That’s usual this time of year since many tend to forget how to drive properly in snowy conditions. It was really icy too but don’t worry, we lived^_^

Quote of the Day comes from Fruits Basket manga, volume 15:
Yuki: (dressed as Fairy God-mother) “Take heart gentle Cinderella, I shall grant any wish you may have tonight.”
Hana: (dressed as Cinderella) “My that’s wonderful.” *looks at Yuki* Burn the ballroom until it’s no more then ash.”
Yuki: “That’s a crime…please wish for something a little softer and innocent.”
Hana: *looks down* “Innocent….” *looks back up at Yuki* “Grilled meat. I want to eat.”
Yuki: “Not like that.”

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I have no idea if anyone will be around today but I’ll keep talking regardless^_~ On my last post, when I mentioned I went through 12 pages of comments and it took me about 3 and a ½ hours to do, people wondered how I manage that with dial-up. One word: patience. I got 13 pages of comments last post. My record amount of comments I received was 89. Yes, 89! That was back in April or so I believe. People keep asking me my popularity ranking…why does it matter? I think it’s funny how some people on this site strive for popularity and it’s like, why? I think people are missing the over-all point of this site. And for those who just are dying to know my popularity ranking, it is #20.

I saw the new Harry Potter movie Wednesday. I will say this, it was….entertaining. However, it was no more then that to me. The story was lacking of anything significant in my mind and when they had all those villains at the end I was like, “okay, who the heck are these people?” Very poorly done with letting the audience know who these people were. All throughout the movie, I kept on thinking Harry Potter looked exactly like Frodo Baggins(or Elijah Wood).

Before the movie though, we went to Wal-Mart to get food and drinks…yeah, there’s no way I’m spending $3.50 on a package of Milk Duds when I can get them at Wal-Mart across the street for 88 cents. Anyway, Reese’s has a new line of candy out!! It’s Reese’s Peanut Butter cups with….*drum roll* CARAMEL! Oh man, if you’re guessing I bought some then you guessed right. They are ever-so good! We then walked past the toys section and they have a singing Christmas Cookie Monster. We played the thing and…dear god…it sounded like Satan was singing to us. And then we found the nutcracker’s section and they have female nutcrackers now but get this…instead of their mouths moving to crack the shells, it’s their CHESTS that move!O_O I want to meet the person who came up with that idea.

My internet decided not to work all day Sunday. Feh! But I spent all Monday going through people’s sites who had come to mine. 12 pages of comments *falls on floor.* On dial-up it only took about…three and ½ hours>_< It’s ok though, I enjoy going to people’s sites so it’s all good. I’m glad you liked the Yuki/Ayame quote from the last post too! Yes, those two are an interesting set of siblings.

I felt pretty pathetic today. I was eating dinner and watching T.V. and a commercial…for Kodak…just about brought me to tears. How pathetic is that?! It shows this group of kids in a museum full of photographs and the museum guy is telling them, “Shhh, listen…The pictures are talking.” And the kids are saying, “I don’t hear anything, what are they saying?” And the museum guy tells them, “They’re saying: ‘Keep me. Protect me. Share me. And I will last forever.’” And then this sappy music starts playing as they’re showing all these photographs and I got all misty eyed>_< Not a high-point in my life I’m telling you right now.

And since my internet wasn’t working Sunday night I watched a whole bunch of the anime called, ‘His and Her Circumstance.’ Oh man, it’s SO good! If I had to compare it to an anime, it would be Fruits Basket in the way the characters interact and react to various situations. This was the anime that a guyfriend recommended to me and he said, even though it’s kinda a romance, it’s not sappy so even guys would enjoy it. He also told me it was based on a manga and this is one of the few animes that’s almost exactly accurate to the manga. So, that’s an anime I would recommend for those interested in something new^_^

And I also need to say:

I was going through some stuff in my room and came across my old Sega Gamegear. How many of you remember that hand-held system? This 1st came out when I was in 4th grade and it was the 1st hand-held console that was backlit. How many batteries did it take to run it? SIX double A batteries. Yes, SIX! The thing was huge and quite heavy! I’m pretty sure it was the Sega Gamegear where Sonic the Hedgehog first made his appearance. I still have all the games to it too from Sonic to Ren and Stimpy^_^

Going on about what I was talking about in yesterday’s post, yes, I love the Burger King commercials with that freaky King guy. I think they’re hilarious! The whole concept of it is just so ridiculous it makes me chuckle. I love the one where we see a guy doing the dishes and he looks out the window and the King is by a tree far in the distance. They guy sorta shrugs it off looks down and then looks back up and the King is standing RIGHT there in front of his window. What makes it funny is, instead of these people freaking out, they’re just look like, “hey, the Burger King guy,” like it’s no big deal. I like the newest one where the construction worker is up on the building and the King peeks his head from around a post and his eyes are HUGE and he hands the worker a cup of coffee. And then later, the King gives the worker a friendly shove and he almost looses his balance off the building and just turns, laughs and points at the King like, “oh…you.” Haha! C’mon, you’re telling me that’s not a chuckler?

Quote of the Day comes from Fruits Basket manga, Volume 16:
Ayame: “Yuki! This is horrible!! Is that blood running down your face?!”
Yuki: “I’m fine. It’s just a little scratch.”
Ayame: “That’s right, it hurts doesn’t it? But, there is nothing to worry about, for I, with the power of a hundred million horses, am here by your side.”
Hatori: “Just hurry up and bring him over here.”
Ayame: “ROGER THAT, TORI-SAN!” *grabs Yuki and lifts him up into his arms* “YOU CAN’T DIE, YUKI! The evening sun we saw as we swore that we would die together even now still shines within my heart!”
Yuki: “I didn’t swear anything and I didn’t see anything! You can’t just make up the past like that. PUT ME DOWN!”
Ayame: “Hold on, Yuki!!!”

Inuyasha is such a power pouter^_^

For all those who said, “I’m adding you to my Yahoo Messenger list!” since I mentioned it in yesterday’s post…ElvesAteMyRamen is NOT my messenger username. I wish it were because I try to make everything online ElvesAteMyRamen but some bozo took my username and is using it on Yahoo. I don’t know who and they wont answer my messengers but I think they saw my username online and thought it sounded good and decided to take it>_< I have a feeling, they’re getting lots of messages from people thinking they are me. And sorry, I don’t want to share my Messenger name here. Messenger is more-so for my closer friends. I use AIM for my friend’s too but I was getting too many strangers from Deviant Art and Otaku who came to me for the sole purpose of wanting html help or art help. Which I don’t mind but only to a degree can I handle that but I DO still use AIM^_^

McDonald’s has the worst commercials. Have you guys seen the one where we see 3 guys and 1 girl sitting in a car and they’re saying, “Chicken” in really idiotic voices and the girl says it like, “Chick-on…on.” >_< Oh man, the stupidity of it makes my head hurt. At least they stopped playing the Quizznos commercials with the baby that talks like he’s in the mafia. Those were dumb too. I remember back in the day when they tried to make a sitcom with that talking baby…yeah, it lasted about 3 episodes. Burger King gets the award of having the best commercials for food in my humble opinion^_^
Oh, yesterday I bought Naruto on DVD off e-bay! Episodes 1-160 plus all 3 movies and specials for only $34! Hot-diggity! I’m a good shopper. I had bought the first season of Naruto in China Town but wanted to lay my hands on more. This seller ships items out priority mail too so I hope to have them early next week^_^

Quote of the Day comes from Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring:
*Sam was caught snooping outside the window*
Gandalf: “Confounded all, Samwise Gamgee! Were you eavesdropping?!”
Sam: “I was dropping no eaves sir, promise! I was just trimming some hedges that I can show you if you’d just follow me.”
Gandalf: “What did you hear?! SPEAK!”
Sam: “N-n-nothing important! That is, I heard a great deal about a ring and the dark lord, and something about the end of the world. Please sir, don’t hurt me. Don’t turn me into anything…unnatural.”

Word of advice…don’t piss off Yuki^_~ Notice from the picture in this post and the one of Ayame in the last one that they get that same “look” in their eyes?

I mentioned yesterday that I was going to do a drawing of Yuki in elf-form and one other Fruits Basket character I thought was elf-like but asked you guys who they thought it was. Lots of people said Hatori…hmmm, yes, personality wise he’s pretty elf-like. Somebody said Kyo>_< Oh god, he is the LAST person I would consider an elf. I thought everyone would have immediately thought of this guy...really tall…really thin…really beautiful…looooooooong silver hair. *light bulbs go off* It’s Ayame, you silly billies!^_~

So how many of you are jumping for joy and doing somersaults over the new Harry Potter movie coming out? Heehee! I’m not a Harry Potter fan. I tried to read the books and I sat through all the movies but was like…meh. I can see why people love it though. It’s an interesting idea. The last HP movie that was out though…I was SO confused on what was going on and needed people who had read the books explain it to me. Now, that’s a biff of mine. They should have made it so even people who haven’t read the books could understand the movie. It’s like when I saw the Fellowship of the Ring, I hadn’t read the books yet but I clearly knew what was going on. I read the books instantly after the 1st movie though but it wasn't necessary for me to do so. In the 3rd HP movie, towards the end when there was a random elk silhouette shown, I was like…what the heck was that?! It had to be explained to me by my friends and one random stranger who was sitting in front of us and over-heard my question:-P
The movie I’m DYING to see though…Chronicles of Narnia. *rubs hands together gleefully* That seems like an awesome movie.

The honor of the Quote of the Day goes to LordSesshomaru while chatting with him on Yahoo Messenger:
ElvesAteMyRamen: “Usher has a movie coming out.”
LordSesshomaru: “A movie?”
ElvesAteMyRamen: “Yes, since when do these pop stars think they can act?”
LordSesshomaru: “His name is Usher, so being in a movie theater is highly appropriate.”
Hahaha! *Ba-doom-doomp-chink* That was a knee-slapper, LS. My hat goes off to you^_^

I have an idea for a drawing that I’ve actually been dying to do for quite some time. Remember on the picture on last post how I commented about giving Yuki pointy-ears and I’d be a happy camper? So many people responded how much they would love to see that too so I’m going to do it! I had chatted with yukina123 about that awhile ago that Yuki is a lot like an elf in both appearance and personality. So, I’m going to draw Yuki in elf form with one other Fruits Basket character in elf form. Who is it? Juuuuust think about it…what other Fruits Basket character looks very elf-like? This should totally be a given but I’m curious if other people will be able to guess which other Fruba character I’m going to put in there^_~ I’m in the middle of doing a commission drawing of Squall and Rinoa though from Final Fantasy VIII, so I need to finish that first.

I was hanging out with my friends Tuesday and a commercial came on for Victoria Secret>_< It was at that moment I realized…I REALLY need to get some girlfriends. No, I’m straight, I mean friend’s who are girls. All my friends are guys and I wish I had a fellow girl to hang out with and stuff. I know, seems weird and I love all my guyfriends and they’re a blast to hang out with but it’s not the same sometimes. In high school, most of my friends were girls but then as we went off to college and such I became friends with all guys. At least I have girlfriends here on Otaku! Like jigglyness. *huggles her* We like to discuss the hotness of bishies so that’s pleasant^_^

Quote of the Day comes from Ace Ventura: Pet Detective:
Dan Marino: “Hey Ace? Do you have any more gum?”
Ace Ventura: “That’s none of your damn business and I would appreciate you staying out of my personal life.”
Dan Marino: “You’re a real weird guy, Ace.”

Well, this weekend has been hell but I managed to talk to all the people who’s work was stolen by this fake “ElvesAteMyRamen” and they all completely believe me. Now they’re worried that this person may do this again but pose as one of them! It wouldn’t surprise me since this person had also stolen my picture I.D. off DeviantArt so they obviously knew what they were doing.

However, it’s like what I said on Deviant Art:
If they think that this is going to stop me from drawing art and uploading it, well, then they're boneheads and obviously don't know how a real artist thinks! You have to try harder then that bucko to crush my spirit to draw...I think the only thing a person could do would be to crush my hands...even then I'd continue drawing but with my mouth or feet! Feh!
And thanks everyone for all your kind words, support, and threats of doing some terrible deeds onto this person who did this to me. *hugs* You’re all wonderful people and it’s nice to know I have pals like you^_^ I know say it with me…”Awww.” We had a Full-House moment there^_~ Where’s the cheesy violin music when you need it?

My friend Gavin and I spent the day together yesterday so it was nice to get my mind off things. I got to see Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves finally. The Mel Brooks movie of Robin Hood: Men in Tights in now just that much more funny after seeing the movie they were parodying. It’s kinda like how I saw Space Balls before I saw Star Wars and didn’t realize Space Balls was a parody of anything. I remember seeing Star Wars and saying, “you know, this is a lot like that Mel Brooks movie.” Heh…yeah, duh. And Gavin has the two sweetest cats in the world and they snuggled on my lap while watching the movie and I pet them so that was pleasant.
Yuki with a bow and arrow? What’s not to like?! Just give him the pointy-ears and I’d be a happy camper^_~

This ElvesAteMyRamen had a terrible, horrible, no good very bad day(a cookie for those who remember that book). Late last night, I went to Deviant Art and was informed that even more of my artwork was stolen on a site called Sheezy Art. But that’s not all. This person stole my username as well and was pretending to be me. And oh wait, it gets even better, not only did this person steal my username and my artwork but they also stole OTHER people’s artwork as well. So, what does that make me, the real ElvesAteMyRamen look like? An art thief! The people I loathe the most then any other kind on the internet. People on Deviant thought I had stolen artwork and was posting it on Sheezy Art. I don't blame them though for lashing out at me. They had no way of knowing that person wasn't really me. Oh, did I mention this person who stole me username and artwork also stole my DeviantArt I.D. with my picture on it and everything so it even more-so looked like I was the thief?>_<

Luckily, this other person on Sheezy Art was banned which I’m glad about but the person was banned before I could even see the gallery and see what artwork was stolen. I put a big blog on my Deviant Journal explaining what had happened and so far, the people who had work stolen from believe me and feel terrible for accusing me as a thief. But like I said, I don’t blame them. I know if my art was stolen I would be attacking the person as well. This person that stole my username though…words just can’t describe how it feels to have this happen. Not only did they steal my identity but they’re ruining my reputation as well! This person was just down-right malicious. I don’t know if it’s someone who has a personal biff with me and purposely wanted to get caught(I should point out the other artwork this person stole was from very well-known artists on Deviant) so I would get in trouble. Or, they just figured since I put my name on all my artwork, why not just pose as me and receive praise for work they did not do? I just don’t understand these people. My day was crummy bummy.

On this note, I would like to tell people where my stuff is located under the username, ElvesAteMyRamen:
Deviant Art, Otaku, MediaMiner.org, MiniTokyo,
MyOfficialWebsite, AnimeMusicVideos.org
If you see a person with an ElvesAteMyRamen username on ANY other site, then that is NOT me and consider them an art thief and/or posing as me. If a few on my drawings are on other websites but are credited to ElvesAteMyRamen or Lindsey Henninger, then those are fine.
My Lord of the Rings Photorealism drawings are found on quite a few sites but the main ones are:
Hobbits Live, TolkienOnline, CouncilofElrond.com, TheOrlandoBloomFiles, Parma Euroseen, LegolasGreenleaf
Those should all be under my real name of Lindsey Henninger and/or hobbitslive. If those drawings are not credited to me in either of those names, consider them stolen as well.

After this post, I’m going to be putting links to all those website on the top in my profile and am doing the same on my DeviantArt site. It’s so sad that it’s come to that. Since people have decided it’s ok to not only steal my artwork(I’ve gotten used to handling that) but also my username, which I will not tolerate. And sorry for the long-ass post guys, I’m just bummed right now. I’ll leave you guys with a cute picture though.

I just finished some left-overs from Red Lobster. Yumm. Even though we went to Red Lobster, none of us got lobster. They have many other dishes that don’t have lobster in it. I actually hate fish. BLECK! Just the smell grosses me out(and I swear, LordSesshomaru, if you try and hand me one more fishstick…*shakes fist*) The only fish I eat it shrimp and fried clams.

I think one reason why I can’t stand the smell of fish is freshman year of college, we had to make plaster molds for a project and a part of my project required a fish mold. So my professor had the bright idea of “Hey, why don’t you plaster a REAL fish!” And me, being an idiot was like, “Great idea!” So I went to the supermarket and asked for a whole fish and the guy was like “You just want it cut up?” And I had to explain to him I needed a FULL fish, un-gutted. His face was like O_o. So, I got the fish and brought it back to class and had to spread Vaseline on it first(this fish was already dead in case some didn’t realize that) or else the plaster will stick to it.>_< Oh god, it was so gross rubbing Vaseline in it’s mouth and over its eye. So, I then pour the plaster over it and for those that don’t know, as plaster dries, it gets really, REALLY warm let’s just say…most of the class left the room. Stinky-pants fish. But then, the worst part is when I removed the mold. Not only the smell but when I peeled the fish off the mold, blood starting pouring out of its mouth and gills. All the guys were like, “COOL!” And all the girls were…well, they weren’t even there because they were too grossed out. The mold turned out well though! And thus ends my fish story. *bows and closes curtain*

Quote of the Day comes from Beavis and Butt-Head Do America:
*Reading a sign a limousine driver is holding*
Butt-Head: “Beeeee-a-vis.”
Beavis: “B-b-b-oot-he-head.”
Butt-Head: “Hey, this says Beavis.”
Beavis: “And Boot-Head.”
Butt-Head: “Uh, that’s Butt-Head. Don’t you get it, Beavis?....These guys have the same names as us!”
Beavis: “Whoa cool! We should party!”
