Wednesday was my friend, Gavin’s birthday and a group of us took him to Red Lobster. It took literally an hour of waiting till we had table>_< But that hour of just waiting went by fast since we’re all good pals and we talked. We felt really bad for the lobsters though because their tank was right next to us and there was this one that was really desperate to get out(not that I blame him). At one point a waitress came by and pulled one out and put it on a plate and said, “sorry fellow” as she took him back to the kitchen. Poor lobster. Getting boiled to death is not #1 on my list of ways to die. Gavin ordered this monster drink called Alotta Collatta which has rum in it and if you’re guessing that Jack Sparrow impersonations were being thrown around, you’re right.

After that we went to my friend’s apartment and watched Looney Tunes. Yes, bad-asses to the extreme. But we got into a rather heated discussion because at one point, they showed a chipmunk living in a tree with squirrels and I said, “Chipmunks don’t live in trees.” And just about everyone turned to me and said, “Yeah they do!” Oh man, we debated this for awhile because I have chipmunks everywhere around my house and I’ve never once seen one in a tree and I knew they burrow in the ground but no one believed me! Gavin says, “Look at Chip n’Dale! They lived in a tree!” and I’m like, “Since when have cartoons been realistic?!” Last time I saw a hunter, I didn’t see a wascially wabbit sneaking up behind him with a mallet. So, once I got home, I looked it up online and guess who was right? *points to self* Durn tootin’ I was! I made sure and inform everyone that I was right in that debate. How dare they question my knowledge of rodents. Feh!

Quote of the Day comes from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory:
Willy Wonka: “The waterfall is most important. It churns it up. It makes it light and frothy. And by the way, no other factory in the world mi-"
Veruca Salt: “You already said that.”
Willy Wonka: “...........(mocking)you’re all quite short, aren’t you?”
Violet Beauregarde: “Well yeah. We’re children.”
Willy Wonka: “Well, that’s no excuse. I was never as short as you.”
Mike Teavee: “You were once.”
Willy Wonka: “Was not! Know why? Because I distinctly remember putting a hat on top of my head. Look at your short little arms, you could never reach. Hmph.”
*snicker* Yes, makes perfect sense…O_o

Sorry it’s not an anime picture today but I just bought this movie and was making screenshots and…Johnny Depp is awesome^_^

I think many people on Otaku have been having the problem with their comments not showing up. Actually though people, they are! Sometimes they’re just delayed. I thought something was wrong too when I would post a comment and I wasn’t seeing it shown even though it said “Your comment has been successfully posted.” I just closed the window and opened it again and viola! It was there. Sometimes it takes a minute or so and I noticed that happening after that giant lag that Otaku was in for those few days. But I see on my posts that some people have left 2-3 comments of the same thing so trust me, just click “submit comment” once and it WILL show up soon^_^

On that note why does it seem it’s often a race to be the first to comment on my site?O_o I know I get quite a few comments a day but really people, no rush! I’ll get to it whether you’re the 1st to comment or the last. I’m not comment-biased^_~ And many ask how I get so comments a day? *shrug* I dunno, YOU’RE the ones coming here so you tell me!
I got Chinese food today. Yummm. Garlic Chicken too so those vampires will be leaving me alone tonight! Schazaam! After I picked it up…oh man, my car smelled so good and I think I sped like a mad-woman so I could eat it faster. I hate how it’s getting dark so early! *wheeps* I nearly hit 3 pedestrians walking down the street because they figured it was a good idea to take a walk in the dark while wearing dark clothing on a curvy road and not carry flashlights. Feh!

Quote of the Day comes from Rurouni Kenshin:
*Yahiko looks almost identical to a prince and has to be the decoy so he’s getting lessons on how to act princely*
Instructor: “The most important thing is to preserve the dignity of a prince.”
Yahiko: “You mean…be bossy?”
Instructor: “Well, you could say that.”
Yahiko: *grins* “Hey you, chicken boy!”
Sanosuke: “Huh?”
Yahiko: “Shine my shoes.”
Sanosuke: *grabs him by the collar* “What the hell did you just say?!?!”
Instructor: “You can’t do that to the prince.”
Kaoru: “Well, since that’s the deal, you should endure it Sanosuke.”
Yahiko: “Hey, ugly wench, why don’t you give me a massage instead of displaying that ugly face in front of me?”
Kaoru: *runs over to hit him* “WHAT DID YOU SAY?!”

*smiles* Thanks guys! I’m glad you like my new drawing so much^_^ Seems people are happy with the background I chose to do as well! I wish you guys could see the original though. Like any other person’s scanner, mine doesn’t tend to pick up light shades of blue or lavender very well and lots of darker shading in the grass was lost too. I mean, it’s still quite accurate to the original but many hues are missing. Ah well, I’ll live^_~

I was reading rikuheart’s post yesterday and she mentioned about being proposed to in first grade and that reminded me of a story. Heehee! You all know my friend Gavin who I always talk about? Yeah, he proposed to me in first grade^_~ The funny thing is though, I was proposed to by another guy named Travis and then Gavin and Travis got in a fight on who I loved more and when they asked me I said, “I love you both!” Haha! Man, I was quite the little 1st-grade skank, wasn’t I? So, that night, Gavin ends up taking his mom’s engagement ring and then he gives it to me the next day! And then when I showed my mom, she called Gavin’s mom and I didn’t know this but Gavin tells me about it now…he got in biiiiiiiiig trouble. Heehee! And Gavin and I are best friends to this day. How about you guys? Any of you have funny “child” proposal-stories like that?

Quote of the Day comes from a stand-up by Bill Cosby:
And so I said to a guy, “Tell me, what is it about cocaine that makes it so wonderful?” And the guy says, “Well, it intensifies your personality.” And I said, “Yes, but what if you’re an ass-hole?”

Whelp, I got the drawing of Yuki and Kyou all done! Hot diggity. Now you guys can see what background I decided to do! My secret shall be revealed.
Just click the cropped portion of my drawing below to go to the full one:

And you know me, votes and comments are very much appreciated^_^ Anyway, you can kinda tell in the cropped image above which background I used. This one was suggested by quite a few. Most people said a field with trees and others mentioned an autumn day with lots of hills so I guess it’s a combo…..mmmm…Combos. For some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to do the whole background in colored pencils rather then acrylic paint>_< Oh man, it took FOR-E-VER! Not really hard just time consuming since it takes a lot of layers to make decent looking grass and rolling hills. Feh! It took longer to do the background then it took to do Yuki. Or to do Kyou. Or to do both together!......heh heh..if you read those last few sentences, they look rather dirty and perverted, don’t they? *cough* Anyway, I hope you like it and I also colored the clothing differently. I took away the shine I usually do and I think it looks pretty good^_^

I gave my dog a bath today since it was so nice outside. I think my pants are still wet. My dog, Freddie, loathes baths with a passion and I think her comeback to the “torture” is to make sure I get as wet as she does. Feh! And then after she’s all clean(and me too*rolls eyes*) she always goes running into the woods and rolls around in the leaves. Bah!

Pretty Kadaj *pets*

I went to the mall today to buy a gift for my friend’s birthday and I was walking past a calendar store and they’re selling Fruits Basket calendars now! Yeehaw! I was SO close to buying one but then I realized, as soon as it’s January 2nd, all calendars are half-priced so I’ll wait. At Waldenbooks I got uber excited because they had volume 6 of one of my fave manga, Immortal Rain! I LOVE that manga. So well drawn, great romance, full of action and comedy. This is a manga I highly recommend. I bought 2 items at Waldenbooks and I think the cashier forgot to ring one of them up since she was so busy talking to me so I got the gift for my friend, technically for free. Heh heh. I didn’t say anything. I know wrong but hey, I enjoy saving my hard-earned money.

I hope to have my drawing of Yuki and Kyou done Monday or Tuesday. I got the boy’s all drawn so now onto the background. I did something different with my coloring of the clothing which I think looks pretty cool but I’ll see what you guys think of it^_^ On the bad news of my artwork though my drawings have been stolen by 2 different people within the last 48 hours. These are all people on DeviantArt too and thankfully, people have been informing me of the thievery. One person had stolen my ‘Sasuke, Sex Me’ drawing and even left my name on the bottom of it! *snicker* I mean, I’m pissed they stole my drawing and claimed it as theirs but at least they were kind enough to leave my name on it. *rolls eyes* A thief and an idiot. It just irritates me that they even created “artist statements” about them too! Basically taking what I explained on how I did it and re-wording it to fit their needs. I hate people who take credit for other people’s hard work. But you all know me, I enjoy making art thieves pay and suffer for their deeds.

Quote of the Day comes from Tommy Boy:
Tommy: “Hey, does this suit make me look fat?”
Richard: “No-no-no, your face does.”

I’m glad you guys enjoyed the Inuyasha songs from my post Thursday. I agree with many, Miroku has the best voice of all of them. I think that’s one of his secrets of woo-ing the ladies^_~
And something I find amusing is how arrogant some people are when it comes to their anime shows. As in, they’ll like a certain anime and will have nothing to do with any other because their show runs supreme to all others.*rolls eyes* And they talk like they’re better then me because I like one anime and they like another. *snicker* Oh please, if you think you’re better then me because of your choice of shows…well, perhaps you need to get a hobby or…something. There, I just had to say that. Anyone else get that from people? Drives me nutters.

I played my friend’s Mario Dance Dance Revolution and I must say, what was the point of Nintendo releasing this game? It’s no where to the level of the regular DDR by PS2. I mean, there’s only about 25 songs in the whole game and it’s also insanely easy. DDR for PS2 has over 70 songs and has about 5 levels of difficulty to choose from. I was hoping this Mario version would have more classic Nintendo songs like the theme to Legend of Zelda but nope, it only had Mario songs and some Luigi ones I think. I mean, it was still fun but DDR is *goes into ditsy teenage voice* like way so much funner^_~ My friends laughed their butts off when my friend Gavin and I competed because I’m tall and skinny and really light on my feet when I play this game and Gavin is built like a tall dwarf and STOMPS the DDR pad like he’s trying to produce an earthquake. So naturally, my friends were calling us Legolas and Gimli…heehee! Imagine those 2 playing that game. They SO should release a LOTR DDR. That would be the schiznit.

Quote of the Day comes from Rurouni Kenshin
*Kenshin is being sent out by Kaoru to catch some fish for dinner*
Yahiko: “I’m counting on you, Kenshin! Catch lots for tonight!!”
Sanosuke: “I’ll be REALLY hungry after being forced to work so hard. You better catch at least 20 or 30 whales, otherwise I’ll kick your ass!!!”

On Tuesday, I went to my friend, Gavin’s house to watch the show ‘House.’ How many of you watch that? Oh man, such a great show that I highly recommend and we invited my other friend, Tyler over for a ‘House Party.’ Get it? House Party?! Heehee! Lame I know but anyway, at one point during the night, Tyler turns to Gavin and says, “Hey, I can control demons now.” Hahahahahaha!!! Oh man, that completely cracked me up because I knew he was talking about a video game but if anyone else where to have heard him say that…I have a feeling we would have gotten some interesting looks. Ah…randomness.

Anyway, I mentioned before that my good ol’ pal, 2lovininuyasha had sent me MP3’s of Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, and Miroku singing and a bunch of you asked to hear them. So, I made sound clips of parts of the songs! Although I edited them and uploaded them on my own personal server, the credit really should go to 2lovininuyasha for sending these to me in the 1st place! But please, I ask that you guys don’t go mobbing over to her pleading for these songs. Although I’m sure she’d send them to you, I know I may not feel too great being attacked by a ton of strangers asking me to send them MP3’s. Anywho, keep in mind these are just CLIPS of the songs, not the full things and these songs all come from individual character CD’s and, as always, you need windows media player to hear them. Just push STOP on the music in my profile and then play on these below. Also, keep in mind these are the original Japanese voice actors, not the English ones:

This first one is of our main hanyou, Inuyasha himself! About 15 seconds into it, you’ll hear Kagome start singing in the background:
"

This next one is the one I’m sure some are dying to hear…Sesshoumaru singing!! Amazing hearing him speak more then one sentence let alone a whole song, neh? In this song, Rin and Jaken sing in the background but in this clip I made, you don’t hear them. Another fun fact some may not know is that the son of the voice actor of Sesshoumaru, sings the Japanese version of the first Inuyasha theme song, ‘Change the World.” Anyway, ENJOY:
"

This last up-beat song is none other then Miroku! Sango and Shippou sing back-up in this song and about 15 seconds into it, you’ll hear Sango start singing along with Miroku:
"

To find out more information about these character CD’s, just check out ear-tweak.com!

Quote of the Day was reminded to me while chatting with lordsesshomaru and a bunch of others and it comes from Animaniacs:
Yakko: “Allright, allright, we get the picture. If you don’t like it then just leave.”
Einstein: “I’m not leaving, this is MY house!”
Yakko: “Okay then, YOU leave!”
Einstein: “FINE!” *storms out of house*

How was everyone’s Halloween? Mine was fine and dandy thanks for asking. I found the necklace for my Marge Simpson costume which was good. I couldn’t find it all day then randomly while loading the dishwasher, I was like, “It’s in my duffel bag side-pocket in the attic!” And hark! There it was. I must have a psychic connection with my necklace because it’s just not Marge Simpson without the big red pearls, neh? We didn’t have many trick-or-treaters come this year which is fine by me because that means more candy left-overs for us! *eats a Kit-Kat*

Before we went to the party, I went with my friend Gavin to Spencer’s to help him find a costume and the funniest thing happened. Well, not the funniest but still amusing. Anyway, you know at Spencer’s Gifts how they have tons of masks and they usually always have an enormous one that basically goes over the whole body? Well, my friend picks up one that was a troll with a huge beard and he puts it on and it looks so perfect. It fits him SO well and so I pick up an axe and hand it to him and so he just stands there, frozen in the corner. A couple seconds later, a little girl and her dad walk into the store and she looks at Gavin, just stares at him and asks, “Is that real?” And so Gavin lurches forward and goes, “BAH!” Hahahahahahaha! Oh man, that little girl just jumps back whimpering and clutching her dad. The girl started laughing soon after so don’t feel too bad for her but the dad glares at Gavin as he’s walking out of the store but then I see as he rounds the corner that he’s laughing too so even the dad thought that was pretty good. Heehee! Scaring small children is fun. I know, I’m evil.

Oh, and I must mention, yes I had a really great time at the party^_^ And I also need to give a big thanks for over 800 guestbook entries! *falls on floor* Hot dang, that’s a few. Mmmmmm…Kadaj. *pets*

Well, I ended up buying Dance Dance Revolution for PS2 instead of the Mario one for Gamecube and I think it was the right decision. Oh man, I’ve been on this thing constantly for the past couple days. My legs aren’t too happy with me. Feh! But it’s so freakin’ fun and who knew I could get my groove on so well:-P And I would have gotten DDR Extreme like people recommended but that one wasn’t there so I got DDR Extreme 2! Extreme to the max!! And tomorrow…er…today…let’s just say Sunday I’m going to the Halloween party! YAY! I can’t wait. I got my Marge Simpson costume ready from last year but I can’t find the red necklace! AH! I’ll keep hunting.

Thanks so much everyone for your suggestions on the background of my drawing! You guys had some REALLY great ideas and many said “I’m no artist but I think…” and would come up with these wonderful, detailed ideas! I think some of you need to give more credit to yourselves for the “artistic eye” since most thought of a BG just by the expressions and poses of Yuki and Kyou which was perfect. So which BG did I choose, oh, you’ll have to see. You know me and my secrets. Yessss, sectretsessss. One that I wont be doing, although was a great idea from some of you, was putting them on the rooftop of the house since that’s where some scenes have taken place and that would have worked great with Yuki’s pose but the position Kyou is in…well, he’d be kinda leaning the wrong direction and would be taking a tumble off the roof…most likely taking Yuki with him^_~

Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
*Just keep in mind that “subpoenaed is pronounced like: “sub-pee-need”*
Judge: “Have you subpoenaed the witness?”
Yakko: *GASP* “Have we what?”
Judge: “Subpoenaed! Subpoenaed! Have you subpoenaed the witness?!!”
Yakko: “I certainly hope not! You should be ashamed for even thinking that!”

In case I don’t update Monday, I hope you guys have a GREAT Halloween and if you can, make sure and stop by my dear friend Indifference’s site because it’s her birthday on Monday!

I’m going to do it. Later today, I’m buying Dance Dance Revolution. It’s on sale at Circuit City and I’ve always wanted it so I’m getting it! *pounds desk* I shall! My friend just bought the Super Mario’s DDR but he said it’s really easy so I don’t know if I should just get the one for PS2. Oh man, the decisions in life!

I finished coloring in the skin of Yuki and Kyou but here’s the line-art I did last night. Oh, and people always ask me what I use to do the outlines of my characters and I’ve mentioned it before but all I use is a regular Bic pen that everyone has laying around their house.

But I have a question that I would really appreciate any feedback on whether you know the anime and/or characters or not. What should I do with the background of this? I kinda screwed myself over since I did the dimensions thing with Yuki’s feet appearing closer to the viewer and now I’m clueless on what kind of BG to give it. Any suggestions? Keeping in mind the angle these 2 are at? But any feedback about this I would GREATLY appreciate.^_^

Quote of the Day comes from Fruits Basket Manga: Volume 14:
*Over the loudspeaker at school and keep in mind Yuki’s new nickname has become YunYun*
“YuuuuunYuuuuuun…our beloved Student Body President, YunYun-saaaaan. The meeting is going to start soooo please hurry and come to Kima’s side…..Ah! Oh no, I didn’t mean to say that! I meant “Come to the Student Body Office!” That’s what I meant to say, sorry YunYun! But I’m waiting so HURRY UP, kay?!”
Heehee! The look on Yuki’s face was great after this was announced over the entire school^_~
