My friend Gavin came over to my house today to draw and we watched ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.’ My fave Indiana Jones movie!^_^

And with my new drawing of Yuki…well, there’s now an extra character I decided to throw in there which would be the baka neko, Kyou^_~ I wasn’t originally going to put him in there but then I drew Yuki and thought that Kyou would actually look good in this shot too. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate Kyou, it’s just his attitude bugs me.
I’m eating Ramen noodles right now. So yummy and salty and sodium-licious. I always tell people that when I die, my body is going to be really well preserved with all the ramen I’ve eaten in my life-time and then I realized…that’s how Elves stay immortal! Lots of Ramen to keep them from aging and rotting. That's why those blasted elves ate my ramen! Those sneaky-devils.

Quote of the day comes from Animaniacs:
*On a fake gameshow*
Yakko: *to Hello Nuse* “That is absolutely correct! Tell her what she’s won!”
Wakko: “A date with me!!”
Hello Nurse: “Why do I always get the booby prize?”
Dot: “……………..I’m not touching that one.”

Heehee! I love this part…I find it funny how people are so incredibly shocked when Yuki does something that’s just plain…well, human!

Thanks so much guys for all the great compliments about my new drawing! I’m glad so many of you thought it was funny. After working on it so long, it wasn’t as funny to me and I was wondering if others would find it funny or even understand what was going on in the piece but it seems everyone got it! YAY! And I was asked where I came up with it? Answer: I dunno, it just popped into my head. *eats a cookie* Thanks to everyone who looked at it but the next drawing I want to do is of Yuki. I need a break from these hard-core comics, they take a lot out of me and Yuki is scrumptious so I’m happy^_~

Well, it snowed today. We have a few inches piled up outside. Anyone want it raise your hand and I’ll be more then happy to ship it to you! Have fun shoveling it and driving in it…oh, and don’t forget that soon, it will start turning brown with all the crud that starts collecting on it. Still want some? Ok, then *gets shipping labels ready.*
I saw an add that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was coming out on DVD Nov.22nd! Yeehaw! That bugger is coming out early! Makes sense to get it out for the Christmas season adds to my Christmas and/or birthday list since my b-day is right next to x-mas. Psh, it sucks too. I get jipped.

Quote of the Day comes from comedian Dane Cook:
I know you people are like me when you see a person walking down the street wearing a Superman shirt. You just want to shoot them in the chest and when they start bleeding just go, “Heh, I guess not!”

We may get 4-10” of snow in the next couple days. *sniff* We’re on a hilltop too so we’re the ones that are going to get nailed the worst. Feh! Power better not go out or I’m going to be an un-happy elf. I am happier now that it seems Otaku is running smoothly again! Boy, being on dial-up on top of Otaku running slow=not much fun.

But in the meantime, I got my Inuyasha/Sesshoumaru Comic done!! And look! Way before Halloween too! Anywho, this took me a long, loooooooong time to do since it was 6 frames long and each frame was done by hand so I would greatly, highly appreciate it if you could take a couple minutes just to take a look and maybe vote and comment on the picky. I would be very happy! I combined the pictures so they’re all one image since…you know, it’s a comic. Just click the thumby below to take you the the FULL-version:

I had the biggest urge to make Sesshoumaru say, “Ain’t I a stinker?” at the end of this comic. You know, like in the Bugs Bunny cartoons? But, I reframed. I have an idea for that phrase for a later drawing! Heh heh.

Quote of the Day comes from Ferngully:
Zack: “Yes, I’m positive.”
Batty: “Only fools are positive.”
Zack: “Are you sure?”
Batty: “I’m positive!”

Oh Kadaj, you’re so fine! You’re so fine you blow my mind, hey Kadaj! *clap...*clap*…*clap* Hey Kadaj! Heh, where the hell did that come from?

I’m glad you guys like my sneak peak drawing from yesterday! So many commented how they didn’t know Inuyasha was such a good pumpkin carver. For some reason, I picture Inuyasha at being a good artist. Not so much book smart but more-so high in the creative intelligence. That’s just me though. I see Sesshoumaru as being the book-smart one.

Oh speaking of Inuyasha, I chatted with 2lovininuyasha on AIM and she sent me an MP3 with Inuyasha and Kagome singing! AH! It’s so awesome! Inuyasha has a very nice voice I must say. These are the Japanese voices not English which are better anyway^_~ But the way Inuyasha sings reminds me of Gackt’s in that he sometimes puts the trill in his voice. Much like when Inuyasha is yelling…sorta trilly. Heehee! Kagome has a really pretty voice too but you hear her sing in the show later on when she’s in the theater. I love that episode! And 2lovininuyasha is sending me the ones with Sesshoumaru and Rin singing and Miroku singing. *rubs hands together* I can’t wait.

I just found out I’m going to a Halloween party on the 30th. Whee-doggy! I didn’t think there was going to be one. I doubt it will be as much fun as Halloween in New York City though. Halloween there is so freakin’ awesome. I was Marge Simpson last year and even painted myself yellow and carried a Maggie doll! Oh man, I was MOBBED! People were like “MARGE!!!” and grabbing me for pictures. It was crazy. Too bad anyone that touched me got some yellow on them. Heh. But I’m going to be her again for this Halloween party but probably without the yellow paint since it’s just with a big group of friends.

The weather man said to start expecting snow within the next few days. NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I hate snow! Well, I don’t mind LOOKING at it but everything else sucks about it. Like driving in it, walking in it, shoveling it, scraping it and plus…it’s really cold! *pouts* I want summer to come back.

Anywho, I’ve been working on my Halloween comic and it’s all drawn out but now I have to color it in. It’s 6 frames long so it may take awhile but I will have it done by Halloween! *pounds desk* I SHALL! Here’s a sneak peak at one of the frames:

This isn’t the full-frame either. Just a part of it. That was also my first attempt at drawing dimensions in that I attempted to make the pumpkin and hands appear like they’re coming at you. I’m very happy with how it came out too and it was actually really easy. I thought it would be hard but nay, I was wrong(I know seems impossible:-P). I may have to do more like that in the future to be all dramatic^_~

Quote of the Day comes from Chrno Crusade:
Rosette: “Let’s go, Chrno! Wake up!!”
Chrno: *rubs eyes* “MMnn…just a little longer.”
Rosette: “And how long would THAT be?”
Chrno: “About 10 hours.”
Rosette: *kicks Chrno out of the car* “GET UP RIGHT NOW!!”

And thanks for even more cards, guys!
Thanks EdwardElricFan!

Thanks Finalfan1015!

Monday, my friends Gavin, Tyler and I went to a lecture that had a children’s book illustrator speaking and I went to it in the hopes that she would have some tips about getting started in the illustration business. Well, let’s just say…that didn’t happen. Her books are about nature and such and her whole speech was about preserving nature and getting rid of T.V., computers, etc and because when she was in Brazil, she saw two ox there and she thought “These could be ox that are going to be used for hamburgers in the U.S. and because of this, I wont eat hamburgers.” ???????????...the logic behind that makes NO sense and I was trying not to snicker. I mean, if you don’t want to eat burgers then that’s fine but that reasoning was just ridiculous. So, I got nothing out of that lecture but I got to find out that she gets to travel around the world and do her illustrations from location. Where she got all this money to do so boggles my mind.

After the lecture we went to a diner and my friend Tyler was impersonating a transvestite stork(please…don’t EVEN ask how we got into that topic:-P) and at one point while saying the word “to” his voice just cracked and made a really bazaar sound instead and the best way to describe it was, as Gavin said, “It’s like someone pants-ed a tuba player!” Haha! That is exactly how it sounded too. Like a “TO-oooooo.” Oh, and I started a new drawing too! Man, I’ve been popping these out like a mother rabbit but this one is for Halloween and it’s a comic that involves Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. I don’t know if it’s as funny as my ‘Art of Ramen’ drawing but it’s making me giggle at least^_^

Quote of the Day comes from Mystery Science Theater 3000:
*Watching a movie where we see a man playing with a fishing rod at home*
Tom Servo: “Typical male, sitting in his chair, playing with his rod.”

Thanks for all the lovely banners guys for myO anniversary!!
Thanks zero li enna! *HUG*

Thanks jigglyness! *HUG and a KISS*

Thanks Hanyou-Inuyasha! *HUG*

Thanks yokokyou! *HUG*

Thanks Lie74! *HUG*

And thanks to everyone who just stopped by! I appreciate that^_^

Well, today is my big One-year Otaku-versay! And I’m marking the occasion of getting over 10,000 hits too! I find it funny how many people said they couldn’t believe I’ve only been here one year. Many said they thought I’ve been around since the site first came to be. Heehee! I don’t know how I should feel about that. But I actually didn’t form my site until a couple weeks after I joined. I only happened onto this site after I had done my first anime fanart and I was looking for places to post them and I found Otaku! So I just posted my images here only to later find out people can leave comments for them and members can create their own sites! So, here I be! I love all the people I met here and through thick and thin you guys have been here for me so…have some cake, pie, cookies, pocky and Reeses. Oh and a drink of your choice to wash that all down ‘cause I love ‘ya all in your own unique ways^_~

The thank you banner above is also the drawing that I just finished for the occasion. I thought my pal, jigglyness would appreciate that I put Yazoo in it^_^ But it’s also in my fanart gallery so if you guys would like to vote and comment on it, you know how much I appreciate it. You can just click the banner to take you there. For those who don’t know who they are(for shame:-P) but they’re the Silver-Haired Brothers from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and their names are Yazoo, Kadaj, and Loz. I just wanted to make a kinda dorky picture as if someone just grabbed a camera and was like…”Hey guys!! Say CHEESE!” Their outfits took freakin’ forever to shade and blend. Feh!

Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
*Yakko, Wakko and Dot just finish singing a song for a group of children*
Little Girl: “Wow, I really loved your guy’s song!”
Yakko: “Aw thanks. Here, have a bag of money.”
Little Boy: *sees the girl playing with the money* “Heeeey, I really liked your song too!”
Yakko: “Awww….here, have a fat-free yogurt.”

Well, 1:20am and I’m posting. I’m late! Well, some wont even notice who visit me Sunday afternoon and what-not.

Anywho, I just got home from seeing the movie ‘Elizabethtown’ and I actually thought it was really cute! All my other friends who saw it liked it too. It made 2 of the 6 people cry. One of them was my pal, Gavin who just had his marriage broken up and the movie was partly a romance so it made him sad. My other friend Cara cried during it just…because it had a few sad parts so...yeah. Orlando Bloom actually showed emotion in this movie! *GASP!* He spoke with an American accent too and he sounds so different. He looked super duper uber sexy in the movie. My guy friends were all into it because it had Kirsten Dunst in it and they were going crazy during a bubble bath scene with her. Heehee! So eye-candy for everyone! Except Kirsten couldn’t keep her accent straight. One second it was normal then next it had some southern in it. Oh! And I forgot to mention at one point in ‘Elizabethtown’ Orlando Bloom says the big “F” word and Gavin gasped and said, “Legolas!!” Heehee…Orlando shall always be an elf for the rest of his life.

We then went to Denny’s and then Wal-Mart and my friend Jonesy sat in one of those little toy cars that you put a quarter in to make it move. He really had to squeeze even though he’s really skinny and an employee came over and asks, “Aren’t you a little big for that?” Jonesy just looks at the car, then back at him and replied, “I fit.” Haha! It amused me. Then a toy horse fell on Gavin and we laughed because a horse kicked Gavin in the head and then he said, “And to think, I didn’t go cross-eyed.”

Tomorrow is my one-year Otaku-versary! I think some were confused and thought it was yesterday. Nope, it’s tomorrow^_^

You know what I just realized? Monday is going to be my one year Otaku-versary! Crazy. Doesn’t feel like a whole year has gone by since I joined this site.

To mark that occasion I have started another drawing in hopes of getting it done by Monday. I was originally going to draw it for my 10,000 hits since that is rapidly approaching so I think it will be a combo of the two! Although I don’t think it lives up to the Art of Ramen drawing I just did but meh. We shall see how it turns out. Oh and I told my friend, Gavin how so many of you loved his corn-ball joke from yesterday and he says, “Thank you” which was followed by “now leave me alone because I’m about to steal a car.” Heehee! He was playing Grand Theft Auto when I told him but he really does like that people enjoy his lame jokes. Funny thing in high school we weren’t really friends, just acquaintances. Then he and I ended up going to the same college and we became best pals. One of my fave memories was one time we were going up the stairs in the dorms and we hear this high-pitch squeal and Gavin says “Someone pinched my ass!” And for like 2 seconds…I really thought it was him who had screamed. Oh my goodness, I laughed for like 30 minutes once I realized it wasn’t him. It was just so perfect the way he played that out.
I just realized I have to clean my fish tank…

Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
*And now here comes another, Useless Fact*
Yakko: *standing on the beach beside the water* “Starfish have no brains.” *leans down to a starfish* “Um, excuse me?”
Starfish: “Yeah?”
Yakko: “Could you tell me where the beach is?”
Starfish: “Uhhhhhhh.” *scratches head* “No.”
Yakko: “This has been another, Useless Fact.”

Thanks so much for the wonderful comments on my new drawing!! I GREATLY appreciate it when people comment on them…it really shows me who my true friends are on this site. I find it amazing how many people I thought were my friends will totally ignore the fact I just added a new drawing. There are not many things in this world I would say I’m truly passionate about but my art is one of them. I spend hours and days of my life working on these and when people take a few minutes to just leave a comment, it means a lot to me. Thank you! *HUG* Oh and now for the question I asked yesterday…which character in my drawing represent my point of view on the subject of ramen…I don’t think one single person got it right!! My point of view was spoken through Sesshoumaru’s!!! Majority thought it was Kenshin’s. Heehee! I’m a stickler in cooking the noodles AS the water heats. And there was really no reason for picking Sessy to represent my viewpoint. It just happened to flow that way^_^ I’m glad that many of you got a real chuckle from looking at the drawing. It was meant to be fun!

My friend Gavin came over to my house again today to hang out and we just drew and watched movies. I got to see the original ‘Night of the Living Dead’ movie! Boy-howdy did it make us laugh with the cornyness of it. Plus, the DVD was one from the $5 bin and the quality of the movie itself was really poor. It looked like someone just hooked up a VCR and a DVD burner together in their basement and attempted to re-sell it. Gavin looks at the case and says “Who’s this by? NerdsLivingInTheirParent’sBasementsProductions?!” Ha! I believed that was who made them for a second and then he laughed at me for my short-lived gullibleness. Later, he was looking at one of my Lord of the Rings posters and just asks: “Hey, how does Aragorn clean up his house?” And I said, “How?” And he replies, “He re-aRangers it.” Haha!! Get it? Re-aRangers…instead of re-arrange…because Aragorn is a Ranger. Ah hell, nevermind. I’m easily amused and Gavin can whip out lame jokes like no other.^_^
