*Grovels on ground*
I’m so So SO sorry that I didn’t get to everyone’s sites yesterday!! My friend called me out of the blue and asked to come over to my house to draw. He also had some personal problems that he wanted to talk to me about so again, I’m SO very sorry I didn’t visit everyone. I’ll try my darndest to get to everyone today. I’ll give my dial-up a super duper extreme glare so maybe it’ll go faster.
I did finish the drawing though! Just click the Sessy part below to see the FULL-VERSION:
I thought I’d use the section of my drawing with Sesshoumaru in it to lure people in^_~ Remember that the character involved are: Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, Chrno, Kenshin, Legolas, and Yuki. This drawing is based on a “discussion” that my friends and I had at one time while cooking Ramen noodles but I just anime-ed it using my fave anime boys. Can you guess which character in this drawing represents my point of view in the cooking of ramen? A cookie for those who guess right^_^ Oh and because of the size-restrictions on artwork, I’ve provided a link for those who would like to see the super full-size version: CLICKEY!
Votes and comments are very much appreciated!
Anywho, many asked in yesterday’s post why I type my Otaku days on Word first. Well, I’d had enough of typing the whole freakin’ thing on Otaku and the click the “Add Post” button, only to have the bloody internet time out and delete everything! So, by typing it in word and then copy and pasting it onto Otaku, even if the internet craps out on me I’ll always have the post saved right here on my computer! Pretty smart, aye?

The mixed anime drawing is almost done. I could conceivably have it done tonight but I don’t want to rush it because then I’ll get frustrated with it and loose patience and we wouldn’t want that now would we? So tomorrow you’ll finally see what Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, Chrno, Kenshin, Legolas, and Yuki are all doing in this drawing. Whoa, I’m typing this in Word and all those names are underlined red telling me they’re spelled wrong…except Yuki’s name. How provocative. Although Yuki does mean snow in Japanese so there’s your Japanese word for the day^_~
I saw the Wallace and Gromit movie Monday night and it was really good! It entertained me and gave me a good laugh from time to time. They made cheese and vegetables look SO good in that movie. Oh and I won another animation cel off E-bay the other day!! YAY!! I really wanted this one because it’s drawn in my favorite style from the show. This is the cel I won:
Last time I mentioned the cels some people didn’t know what they were. Well, when you’re watching a cartoon, it’s made up of many MANY drawings to make the characters appear like they are moving. What the animation cel is, is the final staged production frame that is used when they actually take a shot for the show which is what the viewers end up seeing on TV. The cels are painted and drawn on by hand so each cel is literally, one of a kind. I own 4 Inuyasha cels, one Inuyasha Genga, and one Fruits Basket cel. In this cel I just won, it looks like Inuyasha is in the middle of a “SANKOTESU!!!” Or in the English version I believe it’s “Iron Reaver Soul Stealer.” Feh! Sankotesu sounds way cooler:-P
Quote of the Day comes from a conversation my friend Gavin and I had Monday night:
Lindsey: “So, are you passing all your classes?”
Gavin: *laughs*
Lindsey: “How can you fail those classes?!”
Gavin: “Because I don’t do the work!”
Lindsey: “Oh.”
Gavin: “C’mon, you’re smart. You should know how to fail!”

I have onion breath…STILL! My mom bought us Subway and I asked for just a few onions and I guess ‘a few’ in Subway vocabulary means the whole case. I picked out most of them but I ate at about 5pm and it’s now 12am and I can still taste them! Curse you Subway! *shakes fist* But now I’m hungry again. Dangit.
Today I beat Jak 3!! YAY! Such an awesome trilogy. I also got Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru and Chrno done in my new drawing! Only Kenshin, Yuki, and Legolas left to go. Heehee! This drawing is fun except for Chrno! His clothes are SUCH a pain to do. I never realized all the little trinkets and du-dads he has on his garments. Feh! And I know some of you said you bet you know what’s going to be going on in this drawing…oh trust me, you don’t^_~
I watched some Power Rangers today. Boy, do the new ones suck!! I remember when PR first came out when I was in 5th or 6th grade. All hale the Mighty Morphin Powers Rangers! YES! I used to love them! Then they switched characters and then they were crappy but then they became AWESOME again when they became PR: In Space! Oh man, the story to that set of rangers was SO good!! I know, feel free to pick on me for my love for Power Rangers. But then they became stupid and they started having people who can’t act being the rangers. Psh. Bring back Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Trini, Billy and Tommy! And who’s everyone’s favorite ranger? C’mon! You SO know you had one. Mine was always the Red Ranger, Jason but then it became Andros from PR: In Space and he was also Mr. Red^_^
I just got a random whiff of apples…this intrigues me…

Yakko: “Why? Did you forget?”

Wahoo! We know have over 160 people in the Yuki Club! *rubs hands together gleefully*
Holy crap, it was flippin’ freakin’ freezing today! Not only is it cold but it was raining. Grrrr. I hate rain. I get pretty moody when it rains and being cold on top of that? I was not a happy camper. I love sunshine and it bums me out to see Fall creeping in. Brrrrrrr!! And that leads to winter…double Brrrrrrr….winters suck in NY since they last like 6 months. Hey Jigglyness, still want to swap states? I’d love to be in California during the winter season! *gets bikini ready* Oh but since it was crappy outside I stayed inside and started a new anime drawing! This drawing has Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, Chrno, Kenshin, Legolas AND Yuki in it. Heehee! You’re probably like…wtfrick kind of assortment is that?! Oh…just you wait and see^_^ *grins*
OMG!! I had the BEST dream last night that I just HAVE to share with my fellow Final Fantasy fans. I’ll just skip to the part that involves the FF characters. So I was shopping at the big Carousel Mall and my friend grabs me and starts yanking me to this GIANT Dance Dance Revolution game that’s set up in the middle of the mall for people to play and people to watch as well. There’s 2 DDR pads set up so people can challenge and compete. So my friend grabs me and keeps saying, “You just have to see this!!” So we get to the front of the crowd and who should be the two competitors about to play DDR? Kadaj and Cloud!!! LOL! Before it begins, Cloud looks to Kadaj and says “Are you ready, Runt?” And Kadaj replies, “Bring it on, Goldilocks.” And then the music starts and the song that’s playing is the DDR version of ‘Butterfly’ by Aqua and oh my goodness they were both so good but it amused me they were dancing to this song. Well, Kadaj ends up beating Cloud by like 2 points and thus ends the random Final Fantasy section of my dream. Oh man, it was great^_^ I would love to make a drawing based on that dream.
Quote of the Day comes from Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie:
*After breaching the hull in an escape attempt*
Crow T. Robot: "Well believe me, Mike, I calculated the odds of this succeeding versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid... and I went ahead anyway."

I love the weekends but daytime TV sucks!! Boo. Well, I get to crack my knuckles and relax for a little bit since I’ve officially finished all the illustrations for the brochure. I did all the little illustrations that help decorate the inside like a cat and cobwebs, you know, Halloween stuff. I plan on watching some Rurouni Kenshin today and finish up the game Jak3. According to my save log, I’m 91% done with it^_^ After this weekend it’s time to get my butt in gear and do more…art. Sheesh, it never ends.
The dang coyotes were keeping me up last night. I think they were having a kegger party or something because they were howling and yipping like no tomorrow. Don’t they know I’m trying to sleep? Feh! Oh and I remember when I mentioned that we have bears in our area that some thought that was cool. Well, I have SUCH a story about my bear experience. This happened back when I was in high school and remember, I live in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, there was this one time I pulled into the driveway and noticed that our garage door was open. I thought that was a little odd but our driveway goes up a hill so you can’t see into it too well. So I park in my spot beside the garage and walk around to the front and what should there be in the garage? I freakin’ bear!! See, we have a whole garbage can full of bird seed and it was eating out of it and I just froze when I saw this thing. The bear just sorta stops, looks over at me and gave me this look of…"uhhh, may I help you?" I bolted to the front door and as soon as I was inside I called my parents at work and told them there was a bear in the garage. Well, it left soon after but holy crap…did it scare me but obviously, it wasn’t there to hurt me…just eat some yummy bird seed. And thus ends my bear story.
Quote of the Day comes from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children:
Reno: "Wow, you keep calling it ‘Mother’ but it’s just Jenova."
Loz: "Hey!"
Yazoo: "Don’t call Mother that!"
Loz: "I can’t forgive that!"
Rude:........."sorry."
Reno: "That’s right.......wait, why are we apologizing?!!"
I love Sephiroth’s expression in this picture…and Kadaj, Yazoo and Vincent look particularly yummy^_~

Well, sent in my 6-year warranty with my new monitor…yes, SIX YEARS!! I’m not taking any chances since you all know my luck with computers. Feh! That randomly made me chuckle because could you imagine how Inuyasha would react if he had all the computer problems I did? I could totally see him as one of those people that just touches an electronic good and then breaks it. Kind of like when he tries to fix Kagome’s bike in episode 160 or something. He’s not the best mechanic:-P
I finished the final illustration for the brochure which I was sketching yesterday in the restaurant where people kept peeking at what I was doing *grumbles*:
This story is called Jailhouse George and it’s also a local ghost haunting. To sum it up, like I mentioned yesterday, there is a restaurant that bought an old jailhouse and refurbished it so it looks really nice but all the cells are still there hence the name of it, ‘Jailhouse Restaurant.’ Many had died in this jailhouse but there was one hanging that took place in 1890. The sick thing with this hanging is that they had removed the head and had actually kept it! The head was finally returned to the family members after being found in the early 1990’s. They believe the ghost that haunts the restaurant, who they have nicknamed George, is the man who was hung in this jailhouse. George has never hurt anyone though. Just tends to rattle coins, throw items and enjoys touching the waitresses shoulders^_~ But I’m excited because the Historical Society loves what I have done with these illustrations so much that they want me to illustrate an entire children’s book for them!!! WHEEEE!! But it may not happen till next year but still, I’m honored^_^
Quote of the Day comes from a stand-up by Jerry Seinfeld:
“I know women always want to know what men are thinking. I know you ladies are looking at me, right now and asking, ‘I wonder what goes on in that little brain of his?’ I will tell you if you really want to know. Would you like to know?” *audience applauds* “I will tell you……….nuthin.”

I got my new monitor today! Everyone pet it…*shakes fist* Peeeeeeet it! It’s so pretty. It’s a 19” LCD monitor and roboartemis was right…WOW, I have space! I can see my dresser again. I have more room to place all my Inuyasha figures as well as my Tidus and Yuna figures (Sephiroth is proudly displayed on my drafting table^_~). I was planning on buying the monitor myself but my mom ended up paying for it which I am grateful for since this bugger wasn’t cheap. My parents have a lot of money to begin with and I think they have felt sorry for me lately since I’m been having so many computer problems and I’ve been working my butt off for the illustrations for the brochure. *hugs Mom and Dad…and Furball and Freddie…don’t want the pets left out!
Did anyone notice Freddie’s name there? Remember back in late August when she almost died. She’s still alive!!! The vet is completely amazed because he thought she was going to die in days and its been months! She’s 14…lived twice the average life span of a Doberman. She sneezed on my hot dog today while I was trying to eat it. That booger. I gave it to her since I wasn’t going to eat a snot-soaked hot dog! She’s not dumb, feh!^_^
We went to the Jailhouse Restaurant after buying the monitor because I needed to do some sketches for the final drawing of the brochure. This restaurant is real neat because, like the name states, the building was once a jailhouse and they kept the cells but refurbished them. So I started sketching one of the cells and those who have ever drawn out in public know how this is…but people kept peeking over my shoulder asking what I was doing and then watching me draw. Erg, that bothers me a little because it’s disruptive but I know people are curious and enjoy art so I didn’t let them know it bothered me. But I got my sketches all done so now I’m working on the final piece and putting the ghost that supposedly haunts the restaurant in there and then I shall be done. Whee!
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
Dot: “All we know is that we like you. We have no taste…but we like you.”

Ok, it’s official. My old Comcrap is haunting me. What did it do now, you ask? Well, most of you know that I had bought a new computer and tossed the Compaq but had the hard drive also put into my new computer to have 2 hard drives and most of you may remember that just last week, the Compaq’s hard drive crashed causing my computer to freak out. Well, I got the new external hard drive and everything has been working smoothly until I was browsing through Otaku and suddenly, the screen went black!! I stared at it for a sec thinking…what the frick just happened? And then I realized my computer was still humming but my Comcrap monitor that I was using had died!!! ARGH!!!! It just shot itself in the face like everything else I have owned Compaq related! Well, I think it’s official that anything that I still owned Compaq related is now dead. I’m using my parent’s monitor right now and my mom is taking me to Sam’s Club tomorrow to buy a new one. My old monitor was a 19” and this one is a 21” so I want one at least those sizes but I want those small, flat LCD monitors so I can save on room on my dresser. I said it once and I’ll say it again. COMPAQ’S SUCK!!!! And if you think yours is working fine now…just you wait. Mine started going shitty right after the warranty expired. Hmmm…imagine that.
Quote of the Day comes from Mystery Science Theater 3000:
Scientist: *looking at remains of a half-man, half wolf* “C’mon Yuri, you're a rational man...a werewolf?”
Other Scientist: “Don’t be so quick to dismiss legends. All legends all have to begin somewhere.”
Mike Nelson: “Like Keebler Elves!”
For those who don’t know this show, all it is are 3 guys sitting in a movie theater, poking fun at bad, baaaaaaaad movies and making smart-ass comments. Best show ever!
I admit it, I am a supporter of the Sakura/Sasuke relationship. *ducks blows from Kiralover*^_~

For all those who asked how I did the fur on the opossum drawing yesterday…uh, I dunno. Before I did it I was thinking ‘how the heck am I going to do this fur?’ And then I was like, swish, swash, swoosh with my pencil and there was the result! Heehee…I guess that was the sound it made there too^_~ And when I showed it to the member of the Historical Society in charge of the project she was like, ‘OMG!! I would have never thought of that!’ She really loved it. She loved both the images in fact and she looks forward to my final piece which illustrates the story called ‘Jailhouse George.’
Speaking of the other illustration (you can still see the image on the last post on my site), so many of you seem really interested in the story of the ‘Devil’s Elbow’ or ‘Lady in White’ story I drew it from. I’ll try and sum-up/re-tell it for those interested in this haunting tale so grab the popcorn, pillows and pjamies and here it be:
In the mid-1900’s there was a stretch of road called ‘The Devil’s Elbow.’ It was nicknamed that because there was this turn that was so sharp, that many people were killed because they did not slow down enough for it. After so many deaths and accidents, it was finally straightened out. However, to this day, it is said that a girl, also called ‘The Lady in White’ haunts the area where the Devil’s Elbow once was. It is said, that people will see her standing at the side of the road and they will pick her up in their vehicle and the girl will simply ask them “please take me to the bottom of the hill.” People think this is odd since 1)she is wearing a lovely, white dress, 2)She is carrying white flowers, 3)She looks like she is soaked although it had not been raining and 4)The place she wants to be taken too is not far away 5)It’s late at night. But people will start taking her to her requested spot and not far down the road, they will turn to look at her only to find that she has disappeared. All that remains is a wet spot and white flower petals where she had just been sitting. People have thought that the Lady in White is a girl who had disappeared in the 1950’s after a party where she had a fight with her boyfriend. Apparently, she had decided to walk home in the pouring rain and people believe that on her way home, she was struck by a vehicle on the Devil’s Elbow and the driver had dumped her remains somewhere. She was searched for but never found. That is until the day they straightened out the road in which time they found the remains of a young lady and they soon learned that she had died from a hard blow to the head.
So there you go folks, there be the summed-up version of the upstate NY tale of ‘The Lady in White.’^_^
I have to randomly tell you guys this…today, my cat was howling and I was getting irritated so what did I do? I howled back at him! But here’s the best part of it…if a cat could give the face of ‘WTF?’ That’s the exact look my cat gave me. For some reason, it made me laugh and then I petted him for his cuteness^_^ I end this post with a picture of Reno from Advent Children because he is one funny biznitch:-P

Thankies! I’m glad you guys like the drawing from yesterday. Yeah, all the ghost stories I’m drawing are local hauntings and what-not so the ‘The Devil’s Elbow’ also called ‘Lady in White’ is a ghost that supposedly chills out around our area. I finished another one today and here it is:
This story is too hard to sum up but at one point during the story, a man is attacked by a bunch of opossums while he’s trying to kill a slave with a meat cleaver and the opossums wont stop eating him so he starts hacking off his own limbs to try and get them to leave him alone. So, that explains the psycho-nugget possum you see up there. It’s hard to make a possum not look like a rat I soon found out. The image I was using for a reference, the possum looked so cute! I feel kinda guilty making him look so pissy^_^
I randomly remembered something funny. My friends and I went out to dinner and my friend, Gavin was telling a story and he was waving his hands around and smacked the empty chair next to him which had a coat on it and without a pause he just says “Sorry” and keeps on going. He finally stops and says, “Did I just apologize to a coat?” Heehee! That humored me for quite some time. Delayed-reaction syndrome^_~
Quote of the Day comes from Lord of the Rings:
Legolas: "Lembas." *looks at Merry and Pippin* "Elvish way-bread. One small bite is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man." *walks away*
Merry: *turns to Pippin* "How many did you eat?"
Pippin: *pauses* "Four."
