Ok, WAY too many people misunderstood what I was saying in my last post about the whole comments thing. I was NOT ranting about lack of comments as a whole. I was NOT ranting about people not updating their sites. Here, let me map out a scenario for you guys to clear things up: Let's say you and your "friend" update on the same day. You go to their site and comment but then they never come back to you. And then the same situation happens over and over with them not coming to your site even though they have updated the same day as you. Got it? That’s what I was ranting about. Okey dokey, ardichockie? Anywho, I was asked by the Historical Society to create the illustrations for their special Halloween brochure. It’s cool because I was given the stories and asked to illustrate something based on them. There are 3 stories all together and I’ve finished one so far and here it is: This story is called ‘The Devil’s Elbow’ also called ‘The Lady in White’ and it’s based on a ghost story of a girl who will hitch hike rides and then disappear in the vehicles leaving flower petals in the place where she was sitting. Pretty spooky but I’m excited because this is my first truly published work and I’m hoping it will lead to more job opportunities. I’m also happy because they had seen my work amongst a gallery of about 20 other professional artists and they all liked mine the best and asked me to do it! I got my Sephiroth figure I ordered off e-bay today! He looks so cool. I was peeved at first because when I looked at the pictures on the back of the case to show how you can pose him, they made him all right-handed! Any fan of FFVII would know that Sephy is a lefty and in Advent Children, all the silver-haired brothers are lefties too but then I saw that this figure comes with interchangeable hands and positions so you can switch them around. Apparently the photographer of this toy didn’t know the character too well. Psh. I can’t wait till the Cloud and Kadaj figures come out. I’m SO buying them^_^ There’s been something that’s been bothering me lately so stand-back for one of Elves’s rants. There have been a few people on Otaku who will remain un-named who have updated their sites with daily posts and I will go to their sites and comment on them only to realize that they have never come back to me. Now, I totally understand that people get busy and it’s ok if one can’t always visit people. However, it’s been about 5 times I have visited my “friend’s” sites and they still have not come back to mine. To me, when a person comes to your site and comments it’s only common courtesy to return the favor and see how their day went and comment on theirs as well. All I know is, if someone comes to my site, you sure as hell will get a comment from me as well. If I didn’t then it was an honest mistake or it’s been a certain amount of days since your last post. That’s just what friends do! That’s my opinion anyway and I’m done going to these people’s sites. Period. I got my site all done! If you remember the one I had mentioned last week that has all my drawings on it. If you feel like seeing all my artwork including my photorealism and some illustrations that some of you have not seen you can see it HERE! If you feel like browsing around there, I mean. There’s picture of me there too in the contact page….scaaaaaaary…. I watched a bunch of Rurouni Kenshin today. YAY Kenshin!! I’m at the part where Kenshin is battling Aioshi for the 2nd time while on their way to get Sashiko. Exciting stuff. And I’ve been reading a lot of Advent Children fanfics and in almost all of them they keep on referring to Kadaj as a "teen" or saying he’s as young as 13 years old! *cough* Um…noooooo. If people had done their research they would have learned that Kadaj is only one year younger then Cloud which makes him 21 years old…perfect, which means he’s about my age! *grins* Too bad he isn’t real like all the other anime/Final Fantasy hunks. *stares off dreamily* Haha! That reminds me when I was at Barnes and Noble looking around the manga section and there were these two girls talking and one said that so-and-so is her favorite character and the other girl piped in saying "He can’t be your favorite because he’s my favorite." Haha! I laughed to myself because I wanted so bad to lean in and tell her "hey, I hate to break it to you but these are cartoon characters so I really don’t think they care who’s in love with them." I didn’t though because that would’ve been bitchy of me^_~ Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs: Brain: "Pinky, are you pondering what I’m pondering?" animegirl-11 asked me to make a Vincent Valentine gif from Advent Children so there it be! Vincent is so cool…he’s a vampire! And they’re making a game that’s all him too. Pretty nifty! People have asked if it’s ok to use my gifs for their site and yes, that’s fine. Just please give me credit for them since these take time and effort to do just like a drawing, caption, wallpaper, anything. And please do not direct link to them. That will anger me if I see people stealing my personal bandwith from photobucket. Rawr. And I’m glad you guys liked my wallpaper from the other day! I was told it looked professional *grins* Yeah, Adobe Photoshop can do wonders when you understand it. I was originally making this only for my own desktop but I’m glad I decided to share it^_^ My Comcrap is coming back to haunt me. You want to know how? Well, when I bought my new computer the computer place put in the hard-drive from my Compaq into this one so I would have two hard-drives therefore having 120gigs available on my computer. So the other day while my friend Gavin was over, my monitor just went blue! Gavin calls it “the blue screen of death,” you know when everything disappears and all that it says is that your loosing memory and data and all that stuff that gives one an instant heart attack? I freaked out but Gavin played around with it and saw that my new hard-drive which was the main one was perfectly fine but it was the hard-drive from my Compaq that had shot itself in the face causing my computer to freak. Well, I got a new external 120gig hard drive so now my computer has a whooping 200gigs on it. Like I said, my Comcrap wishes to haunt me even beyond the grave. *grumbles* I hate Compaqs…if you’re ever thinking of buying a new computer and see a Compaq, avoid eye-contact and start backing away slowly. I went and saw the Corpse Bride Monday night and it was good. The animation or claymation whichever you want to call it was awesome. I didn’t like the songs though at all. The ones sung, I mean. I couldn’t understand what the heck they were singing and they seemed pointless and boring. I would have liked the movie better without them in there period but the other music was good.

Thanks to everyone who commented and voted on my new Sasuke drawing! *hugs* I’m glad you guys like it! And I should have known this would be asked about how long the background took me to do since I said it took me forever. It took me about 3 ½ hours for the BG alone and when I started this drawing, I wasn’t going to give it a background at all! But now I’m glad I put that extra effort into it. I need to give a big *hug* to Deadsy who let me know that this month’s Electronical Gaming magazine featured FFVII Advent Children and it had a picture of Cloud and Kadaj on the cover! I went out and nearly screeched when I saw it since I had never seen that image before. Well, guess I sorta have since it’s kind of a scene in the movie but they altered it and changed it around. I made a wallpaper of it too which is the image on the bottom of this post. The magazine also comes with a Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess poster and Link looks sexylicious!! Thanks guys so much!!! Love ya! *SMOOCH* *HUG* And thanks lordsesshomaru for holding this contest^_^ And speaking of fan art guess what your little Elvesey got done today? Sasuke-kun! WHEE! I actually finished it about…oh, 15 minutes ago so it’s fresh out of the oven and barely dried enough to scan. Heh heh. Well, before midnight I should say for us night owls. But I had loads of fun doing this piece even though the background took flippin’ forever. Just click the cropped picture below to see the FULL version: And you can tell what eye-color I ended up giving him. I made them this color mostly because every other color in this piece is blue, lavender and green and giving him the red eyes would help them pop out more! I really do wonder if it’s the same Japanese voice actor who does Sesshoumaru because they sound almost exactly alike. And CuteKilala mentioned she would like to see Sesshoumaru and Sephiroth battle. Oh man that would be so freakin’ awesome! I really wonder who would win because they’re both just freakin’ amazing fighters…and they both have long white hair. Thanks everyone for all the pity while I was complaining about my dial-up connection^_~ Yes, it’s painful but it’s true that it is better then nothing. And for everyone that said that I should get DSL or Cable here is my response: I WISH!!! We literally can NOT get DSL or Cable where I live. We live on the top of a hill, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees, deer, bears, and coyotes, so it’s beautiful where we are but there’s no way we can get that stuff. Even with DSL, you have to be a certain distance from that service provider and we are out of range of anything. The closest town is 10 miles away. Feh! Well, today I worked on my site a bit and then I worked on my Sasuke drawing which is coming along quite nicely if I do say so myself. All I can think about while coloring him in is him saying “sex me.” Ha! Oh why did I use that phrase to sum up that look…now it haunts me. And what color did I make the eyes, you ask? Not telling...you’re going to have to wait and see! As Willy Wonka states: “The best kind of prize, is a SUR-prize.”^_^ And then my dad and I took a ride on his motorcycle! I always love riding on that, so much fun. I so want the motorcycles they ride in FFVII Advent Children. So freakin’ awesome! Cloud’s is the best too because he’ll like pop a switch and a bunch of swords will pop out. My friend called it a “Swiss Army Bike.” Heehee! I love my friends. Speaking of Advent Children Rurounigirl123 asked me if Sephiroth ever speaks in the movie and if I could make a voice clip of it. Well yes, he does and yes, I will! He sounds uber sexy and his tone is just like the Japanese voice of Sesshoumaru. Mmmmm….anywho, just push stop for the music in my profile and push play here. As always, you need Windows Media Player to hear it: And I forgot I had made a voice clip of the Japanese voice of Sasuke too. You’ll hear Sasuke first and a little later you’ll hear Naruto come in and listen to how Naruto says Sasuke’s name at the very end of the 1st thing he says since I heard they pronounced his name wrong in the dubs. I finally got to watch Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children! WHEE! That movie was orgasmic from start to finish. I thought it went by too quick though and then I saw how long it was…an hour and 40 mins! Sheesh! It still flew. The animation was freakin’ awesome. Cloud…HOT! Kadaj…HOT! Sephiroth…HOT! I ended up seeing it twice in one day because I watched it by myself first and then watched it again with my friend and he thought Tifa was a babe. He was always a huge fan of FFVII and he kept on getting uber excited whenever a new character was brought in. He told me I should be Tifa for Halloween because he thinks we look similar. Haha! Oh if he’s sucking up it is SO working. I think we both have the same hair and are tall and skinny but I think that’s it. I don’t have a rack like hers^_~ He also commented if Legolas had an evil twin, it would be Sephiroth. Heehee! And we called Cloud’s sword his ‘Butterknife of Doom.’ Made me giggle. I HATE DIAL-UP!!! I’ve been working on my site for about 4 days now and almost all this time is spent just…waiting. Grrrrrr…I hate uploading pictures since it takes so long but I have to do it if I’m making a site with my artwork. I told my friend, Tyler that I wish I had back all the hours I spent waiting for dial-up and he thought that would be a kick-ass commercial idea. Showing what I could be doing like tanning on the beach, skydiving, bike riding, riding horses, you know, instead of me sitting on my ass waiting for things to load. Feh! Thanks so much for the people who voted for me in the contest yesterday for best fanart!! *HUGS* It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside that I have friends like you guys who like my art. *grins sheepishly* Well, now that I’ve sucked up to you all big time, guess what?! I’m in another category in lordsesshomaru’s contest! Heehee! This is for the ‘Friendliest’ category so if you think I’m friendly, could you vote for me? I mean, only if you think I am…if you think I’m an ass then you don’t have to^_^ I sat on my butt and worked on my website all day. Yeehaw. I’m creating an official website for myself that features ALL my artwork. I was told by a professor of mine that it would be a good idea to do this so when I’m sending out resumes to possible employees, it will be easy for them to see my artwork. And I’m glad you guys liked my Brittany Spears prank from yesterday’s post. Heh heh…yes, the fact she TOLD us she liked that song…she was SO asking for it. And I like how when I gave the descriptions of what I thought the different Sasuke eye colors meant to me, how many of you changed your suggestions to the black eyes. Haha! Yes, something about the phrase ‘Sex me’ is so humorous. C’mon…you can’t help but chuckle when you hear that. ‘Sex me’…SEE! BEHOLD!!! ....I just felt like saying that for no reason. Oh and I’m glad you guys like my new theme! I think many people have a soft spot for Inuyasha^_^ I want to give a big thanks to all those who gave me their suggestions when I asked about what color I should make Sasuke’s eyes in my drawing. This is still going to be tough since it was close between the black and red eyes and with that pose it’s borderline with which eyes work. To me, black eyes would be like him thinking, ‘Sex me now.’ And the red eyes would be more-so, ‘If those fangirls take one step closer I’m SO busting a ninja star cap in their ass.’ Heh heh…don’t ask where that all came from but the drawing in progress is on the last post at the bottom of my site if you have no clue what I’m talking about. Speaking of artwork, today in lordsesshomaru’s contest is the best fanartist category. So if you like my art could you please whip over there and vote for me? *hands you cookies and a smile* I have a funny story to go along with that ‘Sex me’ line I said above. This goes in the category of one of my random college experiences. In the dorms I found out a pal of mine who lives across the hall liked the Brittany Spears song ‘Slave.’ She doesn’t even like Brittany Spears, just that ONE song. *cackles evilly* So my guy friend and I went through a bunch of YM magazines and ripped out EVERY Brittany picture we could find and wrote, ‘Sex me, Renee.’ Or ‘Sex me like an animal’ on every one and we taped them to her door. Well, we coated her ENTIRE door with these and then we knocked on it and ran back into my room. So, we hear her door open, then a pause and then…“What….the……..fuck?!” Hahahahaha! We were dying!! She even left them on her door because she thought that was pretty good. Heehee! The guys living on the floor enjoyed the eye-candy as well^_~
