When I mentioned in my last post how I collect animation cels, many of you didn’t really know what they were! *gasp* Well, let me enlighten some of you:
When you’re watching an animated series, like Inuyasha, the show is made up of a series of drawings done in a sequence so when you see it on the TV, it appears as if they characters are moving. Animation cels are what cartoon shows are made from and to try and describe what they are physically, they are clear plastic sheets that are drawn on and painted on using special paints and inks so that the colors will be nice and bold for when you see them on TV. These plastic sheets often only have the characters drawn on them and then they are laid over a painted background and so the character will look as if it is in a landscape.
Here’s a picture of my fave animation cel I own that was used in one of the shows of Inuyasha and so you can see what I’m talking about:

I have it set in a frame but if I were to take it out of it, you’d see that Inuyasha is actually on a separate sheet then the background and yes, this is really a scene from the show and I have found the exact episode this came from. It’s pretty awesome watching a show and being like, HEY! I own that!! And since they only use one cel at a time each cel is literally one-of-a-kind hence why people love to collect them and since now, computers are taking over hand-done things, cels are becoming rarer. Inuyasha is one of the last animes completely done by hand. So yeah, I hope that helps explain what animation cels are.^_^

Last night at the casino, I had to close with a cashier that is….weird to say the least. She looks like a female version of Ronald McDonald. She has bright red short fizzy hair, and her make-up is so gaudy it makes you almost pity her but she thinks it’s hott. She’s one of those people that paints her eyebrows on but she paints the eyebrows so they start to go down the bridge of her nose.O_o And she wears loads of blush and BRIGHT red lipstick…yeah, hence why she’s the female version of Ronald McDonald.
