Good weather, good times
I'm not posting as often as I want to. Stuff just comes up and yeah. I'm a lazy bum. Well, I have plenty to report anyway. Afterward, I shall visit and comment once again!

I'm not sure where to start...

I'll start before the end. How ‘bout that?

Here we go.

So our live last Friday was a complete disaster. Our band played the worst it has ever played so it was more than a good thing that we invited nobody. Here's how the day went:

I spent the morning lying on my couch and singing along to random Jrock. Mr. Bassist, Mr. Guitarist and a close friend of ours who we haven't hung out with for a long time (because he was in Hong Kong) arrived at my door in the afternoon.

We drove downtown rather wildly because Mr. Bassist was unfortunately at the wheel. I think what was causing the speedy drive was the speedy music. Yes. Initial D tracks.. It's probably not a good idea to listen to Euro beats from a RACING game/anime while in a real car. but we made it downtown in one piece and without pissing off the cops or other drivers.

For the sake of names, let's call the Hong Kong friend... Mr. HK. So Mr. HK actually came back to Canada in September. We just haven't seen him since because he didn't really tell anyone. Anyway, it was awesome seeing him again. We reminisced for a bit about the old times in the high school library and whatnot. Good laughs, man..

Mr. Bassist was really low on cash so we had to pitch in for gas. I gave him $5 in quarters and Mr. HK had a laughing fit. I handed him the quarters and they fell through his fingers and Mr. HK called him a hobo for searching for coins. *laughs* After gas, we were off.

Mr. HK told us of a place where we could park for free and was close to the venue. Unfortunately, Mr. HK is off his block and it wasn't close at all. The parking he was referring to was in a space near a cathedral. Dumb move. We spent the next 40 minutes searching for cheap parking close to the venue.

After finding a spot on a side street, we decided to eat a bit. We went to a Viet restaraunt and had non-Viet food (Go fig). The restaurant was empty and bloody quiet. We felt the need to be quiet ourselves. Of course that changed rather quickly when Mr. Guitarist started talking about how cool the Gameboy Camera was. Fuckin' lame... We had a good laugh at him for... the rest of the night actually. It felt nice to pick on his sorry guitar-playing ass. And with Mr. HK in on the game, it was just so much sweeter.

Our temp vocalist was at the venue already watching the other bands play. We killed more time at the restaurant because we were too full to move. When we finally did get up, we made our way to the venue.

When we made it up the flight of stairs, the security bastard tells us there's a mandatory coat check. We didn't think too much of it until we saw that we had to pay a mandatory $2.50. Screw that. We went back to the car, braved the cold and saved a toonie and two quarters. (Yeah, we're cheap. We have better stuff to spend money on...)

So bands were doin' their thang with all their fans screaming and moshing their pants off. We watched standing still with our arms crossed and our heads tilted. Kinda high and mighty looking. We were not amused.

Some people thought they recognized us from other shows. They were wrong but it was cool anyway. We continued watching the other bands while slowly getting psyched for our time to perform. After getting very hot from the heat inside the club, we went out for some air and to feed the temp vocalist. Then came time to bring in our instruments.

We set up my cymbals and whatnot and everything was ready. Unfortunately, as our time approached, the crowd got smaller... and smaller... and... pretty much disappeared. Only 4 people were left plus those in charge of the show and the band that was leaving.

The best compliment I received that night was a few girls liking my hat. (The one with ears) Otherwise, it was dead silence. Basically, we just jammed in a public place. It wasn't a typical jam either. We were fucking shit. Temp Vocals forgot lyrics, Mr. Guitarist couldn't play on time, Mr. Bassist and myself made little errors that threw EVERYONE off.. Bloody humiliating.

When that embarrassment was over, we packed up and left the club. Outside, we saw a pissed off Mr. Vocalist. Why was he pissed? He wanted to see us play but nobody told him which club we were at. He was already have a terrible day and then he ends up trying to visit us at the wrong club.

The night was coming to an end and everyone was in a pretty shitty mood. We chatted amoungst ourselves nonetheless. Y'know. Twas supposed to be a night of joy, right? We decided to hit up the desserts place (not-so)nearby. after a 20 minute trek deeper downtown, we sat in a corner spot in the dimly lit dessert dwelling. everyone ordered a slice of cake and a nice beverage. I only got a mochaccino because I was trying to focus on not snapping at Mr. Guitarist or Mr. Bassist for being assholes and arguing with each other.

After a long period of silence, a few attempts at cheering each other up, a milkshake or two and finally a 10 minute argument over the bill, we headed back to the car. On the way, we started reminiscing about the high school days. Mr. HK, Mr. Bassist and myself mostly because we three spent the most time each other. We talked about the people who didn't like, the people we did, the teachers and their quirks and so on. By the time we reached the car, we were laughing our asses off. The good night everyone needed finally came into play. The ride home was pretty fun. Mr. Bassist decided to spend the gas he had left killing time vy driving us around the city so we could chat longer.

Finally, I was dropped off at home, along with my gear. I entered the house and slumped on the kitchen floor. Sleepy Joshie had no energy for the stairs...

The following Sunday, Kanon and I decided to try meeting up but unfortunately, her mom went missing for a bit and she started to get worried. Totally understandable. Of course I was bummed out because it was the second Sunday in a row she cancelled on me. But it's completely alright. I was really looking forward to seeing her again because the last time I did see her was that terrible terrible date we had last month. *smacks head* I so sucked...

Anyway, that week I was to return to work. Bad luck shot me in the ass with a dart again. A dart that said HAHA YOU SUCK. The media people wanted me back to work again but they STILL couldn't afford me. In fact they were paying me only a percentage of what I was earning before. How low is this percentage? Well, it's less than my current age. Yeah.. I was not willing to waste my time like that so I decided to not work until they had the money. I know it's incredibly asshole of me but I can't let myself be bought for so little. I still have a part time receptionist job and some freelance work to do anyway so the money problem isn't much of an issue.

In other news, little sis got accepted into the university she wanted. I'm really happy for her yet again. My mom and I saw the envelope in the morning. Mom was tempted to open it and she informed me she knew how to reseal them pretty well. Despite my mom's spy skills, we waited until little sis got home. When she did, she opened the envelope and saw the acceptance letter. We needed to celebrate so we decided to go downtown to shop a bit. After making a few buys and eating a light dinner, we called Mr. Vocalist out to celebrate with us. He was busy doing project at school so he invited us over to the studio instead.

When we got there, we were greeted by many tired looking interior design students. One of them looked like a younger skinnier version of my dad. I felt adopted at that moment. His name is Brian and he's a Japanese Hawaiian dude. It crazy how he left a life of surfing and sun for... interior design. but he was cool nonetheless. We bought some pop and tea and toasted my sister’s acceptance. I think we got home late because we were having too much fun distracting Mr. Vocalist from his work. He said he needed a break anyway. So that was pretty neatfest.

Okay. The following happened by chance. And I followed through. Really.. A few of you out there were kinda cheering on the whole Kanon thing but it's not going to be very easy especially with what happened recently. I'm in a very VERY confused state about the situation right now so be considerate, 'kay?

Pixie and I have been chatted over MSN for awhile now. Since talking with her again at my sisters big birthday party, we've been chatting over the ol' MSN like we used to. About whatevers and stuff, y'know? Though it felt completely normal to just chat with her like friends again, a small part of me found it weird how she just "came back" from out-of-the-blue. There are a few big reasons behind it but I shall explain along the way.

During one conversation early in the week, she brought up the fact that we never went out for sushi. Those of you who were around at the time should remember me making quite a big deal over this (The "first date post" and following that, the "first date cancelled" post). So she decides we should go out fo sushi then because apparently, she was looking forward to it as well.

Since I had nothing to do on Saturday, I asked if she wanted to have lunch. Sushi lunch. Of course she agreed. I also added that she could see the bunny suit I was to put on the Sunday after. And so, a Saturday of random fun was set.

My parents had a bit of fun with me when I told them Pixie was coming over.

Dad: Your sister is working that day. What is she coming over for?

Me: To... See me..?

Dad: Bullshit.

Me: Serious!

Mom: Good good! Clean the house....

*laughs* Yeah.. They're like that. No "Oh I'm so proud of you for FINALLY bringing a girl home." or anything. I did need to tidy up a bit.

One night before the sushi outing, she asked me to her prom. We were having a convo and eventually the subject turned to how I never went to my prom. She then asked if I'd like to go with her to her prom. I have to admit, I was caught totally off guard. Since it has been quite a long time since we've talked about ANYTHING remotely close to 'togetherness', it wasn't a very easy decision. For that and other obvious reasons. One being in the form of ANOTHER girl. But... Two people can go to a prom as "just friends", right? Besides, that's all what Pixie and I are. That's all what Kanon and I are as well, so really, there shouldn't be much to worry about. I still am quite confused and slightly angry though. I told Pixie I would think about it. For once, I'm not the one waiting for an answer. Her hopes were higher than I thought after she said "I'll wait until you say yes". Aiyaaa...

When Saturday finally arrived I got up extra early to tidy up some more and get ready.

[Offtopic:] When I have plans to go out with friends or do something important with someone important, I have a reserve of clothes I keep just for those days. They're usually reserved a week in advance and set aside in view in my room so that I am motivated for that day. At one point in time, I had about 5 separate outfits hanging about my room. They included a good pair of jeans, a nice collar shirt or graphic tee, sunglasses, socks, and if applicable, a hat (cowboy, green touque-thing, etc.)

Since I wasn't really expecting to go out with anyone that day, I completely tore apart my outfits for the day Kanon and I would go out again. I took a pair of jeans from one, a green shirt and sunglasses from another.

The plan was to meet her in front of a sushi place I recently discovered at 2:00pm. I was out the door by 1:00 so I could walk at a pace according to how close she was to the restaurant.

She and I arrived at the restaurant at exactly 2:00. Unfortunately, they were closed. We went to another place I used to go to almost every day for lunch instead. The guys there know me well and it was cozy so in a sense it was a lot better.

Since I was never good at eating properly while with a girl, I only had an order of Soft Shell Crab rolls while she ordered a pretty decent-sized sushi/sashimi platter. The owner who I know very well gave me one of those "It's about time, boy." looks and raised his eyebrows. He then served us our orders on the same woodblock and said to us "Enjoy your meal, you two" in Engrish.

We took our time eating mainly because we were engaged in a pretty sweet convo. She had told me about how she really missed talking to me and the times we spent together, how she can truly be herself when I'm around and a lot of other "I missed you" kinda talk. I tended to lean away from the subject of her missing me because I felt a bit weird. Lunch with her was really sweet anyway.

Before leaving, I bought little sis a lunch to drop off at her workplace. After doing so, Pixie and I headed to my place to hang out for a bit. When we got there, my parents greeted us with the same old parental stuff. "How's school?" "How're your parents?" and so on. Pixie sat at the dinner table while I ran upstairs to put on the rabbit costume. She probably forgot she was going to see it because when I came down all dressed up she screamed pretty loud. At that moment, lil sister got home from work and screamed too. Since I was going to wear this bunny suit for almost the whole day on Sunday, I decided to take it out for a test run. So I went outside.

A giant rabbit attracted more people/kids than I thought it would. a whole slew of neighbourhood kiddies came and took pics and asked if I wanted carrots. Some adults had some fun too. A lady and a Japanese exchange student living with her came out and took a lot of pics. The Japanese guy did a bunch of crazy poses with me and afterward did a couple dozen bows thanking me for being the "Best bunny of the year". I thought it was cute.

Little sis took a few pics of Pixie and I, the bunny during our little adventure outside. We have one or two "frolicking pics" that just crack me up. You're not gonna see 'em though. Lil sis took a few videos with the recording option on the cam so we've got two vids of my chasing neighbourhood kids, and one of me giving Pixie a piggyback.

After an hour in the suit, I could take no more. I went back into the house and took off my head to reveal my true form underneath was melting. It's a portable sauna, man. Bloody hot. But I can survive as long as I get a break every now and then.

After stripping my bunny form, I came downstairs and made orange punch for Pixie and I. The family had left for somewhere while I was changing so it was just the two of us in the house.

She was really eager to see my room because when she would visit my sister before, she'd be intrigued by my room and it's content. She admitted to sneaking a peek during one visit and according to her, she's never seen such an interesting mess. Of course at that time, I had no intention of showing my room to anyone so it wasn't very tidy. Of course, it was clean now. So for the first time in the 11 years I've been lving at my house, a girl enters my room. A part of me was pretty excited to show her stuff and the rest of me was nervous as all hell. Her attention was first caught by my Raine (from Our Lady Peace) drawing. She then sat at my electric drumkit and curiously looked around her.

My mind couldn't be anymore more loserish than it was at that moment. I kept thinking "Holy crap. There's a girl in my room. And she's touching stuff!" It was a landmark moment for me so there isn't a detail I'm forgetting. For the sake of recording my thoughts, I'm just going to make note of a few here. She played with my Lord of the Rings miniature figurines, held my Nazgul sword, made an origami crane with the paper she gave me last year, looked through yearbooks to see my old HS pics, giggled and Aww'd at the child/baby pics in view, drummed on my kit (Very horribly I might add but it was just so gosh-darn cute), and touched/played around with various objects. She then put on my cowboy hat. Normally I'm very touchy about who goes near my hat and god-forbid anyone wear it without my permission. But.. It was Pixie. It looked so cute on her..

Instead of watching a movie like we originally planned, I decided to take her for a bike ride. I was told she learned how to ride a bike last year and she's been obsessed with it since. So I got out my bike and my sister's bike from the backyard and we went. She still had my cowboy hat on too. She later told me she like it so she wanted one for herself too. A real one, not those pansy straw ones. *laughs* Good girl...

I took her around the pretty parts of the neighbourhood. Mainly where the houses looked really pretty. She said everything looked so "Hollywood". Like a picture-perfect suburbia. She then asked if neighbours had block parties or arrived at my door asking to borrow a cup of sugar. No. We're not THAT suburbia...

I also took her to the top of a street where the downhill bit was really pretty to bike through. The road winds and the scenery is awesome. On the way to the top, Pixie had to get off her bike because she got tired. So she walked up for a bit. I biked beside her.

Once we hit the top, the ride down was just perfection. As we rode down the hill, I glanced to my left to see Pixie in my cowboy hat riding as fast as I was with this expression on her face. This expression of what looked like pure joy. Once we reached the bottom, cowgirl Pixie and I rode to a nearby park to have a rest. We wheeled our bikes tot he swings which had a clear view of the setting sun.

Yes. We watched the sunset together.

We spent our time chatting while on the swings and every once in a while, she'd accidentally kick up a worm. So we'd find a spot in the grassy ground nearby to dig up and put the worm back where it belongs.

Needless to say when the sun started to finally set, it was beautiful. Like.. Really beautiful.

As the sky slowly darkened, Pixie and I swung in silence. At that point nothing needed to be said. We were in each other's company... and that's it.

It started to get cold so we biked home as soon it was dark. She had to leave soon because her mom was wondering where she was. To warm up, I made us some hot chocolate before she left. I also burned her a picture CD of the bunny fun and some other pics of my sister birthday that she didn't get.

I noticed that she didn't have a coat so I let her borrow my brown "Save The Environment" hoodie. She later had a laugh about it because we were talking about how the world needs saving so I pointed to the text on the hoodie and said she could be the one to lead us. I walked her to the bus stop and on the way, we had a pretty chat about the stars and sky.

When we reached the bus stop, she wanted to skip the next few buses to just keep walking with me. So we did for awhile until she started to really get tired. So she let me go. We hugged and that was the end of our night.

And now that I've told you that, I'm just gonna share a few thoughts about it.

I cannot deny that I enjoyed every moment of the day. I mean, this was the type of day that I've been dreaming about for... ever almost. Sushi, sunsets and sweaters. It couldn't get any better.

Now the bit that kinda bothers me a bit is that it was spent with Pixie. The girl in my dreams a year ago *WAS* Pixie. Eventually, the girls face faded into a blank and I was left dreamless. Pixie flew away from me, so to speak. Awhile later, the mystery girl in my dreams assumed a new identity. Her name is Kanon.

Kanon and I started to get pretty close. I mean, you all read the last post right? You were all probably reading about Pixie just now thinking, "Wait what about Kanon? Did you just go on and on about HER?". I did and I most likely will continue to do so once we meet up again. She's been sick/busy lately so we haven't had much of a chance to go out. But things are still pretty good.

Time spent with Kanon really picked me up. I mean, she's willing to teach me how to swim and rollerblade and we also have a lot of plans for the summer. I'm really into her.

I never thought I'd be in a situation such as this. The thing is I'm not ACTUALLY going out with either. So I don't really have anything to worry about right?

Though I'm leaning towards Kanon, Pixie sure isn't making things easy with the sweet blue days and the prom pushing. Kanon's got me hooked though.

Annnnd I'm a confused idiot...

We'll just see how thing's go.

This just in: Kanon wants me to teach her how to play drums. This should be interesting.

There's a whole wad of stuff to say on that topic but I should be moving on from here.

Easter Sunday. Bunny day. True Form.

I woke up around 8am, went to mass at 9 and went straight to the hall afterwards. I took my bunny suit to a back room and left it there while I killed time and waited.

[My posting is gonna get shorter and crappier from here on out.... I'm getting tired but I'd rather not put this stupid post off again. There's more to come actually and the posting will just seem so.. oddly timed.]

When it was time to be introduced as a "Special guest" to all the little kiddies, I rushed to the backroom and suited up. Before doing so I chugged a bottle and a half of water because the dehydration factor inside the suit is way too intense. Then the time came...

"Here he is! The Easter Rabbit!"

I came out and walked around all happy like. About 300 kids simultaneously yelled "EASTER BUNNY!!" then all rushed to hug and wave at me. I made my way to the center of the room for a few pics with some kids whose parents were too eager to snap some pics. I then made my way outside to the closed off parking lot where the kids were to hunt for the insanely easy-to-find eggs.

I and several dozen others were the ones who "hid" the eggs. We were told to make a lot of them easy to find because there were a lot of really young kids who weren't capable of rustling through bushes and whatnot for their chocolate.

So for a good 3 hours, I did my entertainer thing. Waving, dancing, and posing with little kiddie so their moms and dads could snap a few pics of the softnesses. I made a few disturbing faces at the cameras while in the suit. Of course they couldn't see me but I amused myself anyway. I only got about 2 cryers that day. I was really mean to one of them because although he was crying his brains out, I decided to poke him anyway. If you think I'm evil, you should've seen his parents. They thought it was all in fun so they handed the kid over to me to carry. I've never heard such terror in my life.

*laughs*

Good times.

I took a few breaks here and there to cool off and wipe the perspiration from my face. I think I'm ready for a real sauna now. It was sooo bloody warm in there. but I survived and it was all for the kids.

As soon as I was done the bunny thang, the family and I headed over to grandma's house for lots and lots of food. I was a big disappointment this year because they had prepared a tonne of meat dishes and since I didn't eat it anymore, there was to be plenty of leftovers.

Instead of doing an Easter hunt for the young ones in the family, we did a game show kinda thing. There was a bag full of papers with different games on them. You had to randomly select one and successfully complete it to be able to choose from a basket of eggs OR a group of boxes. Inside the eggs were small coins, big bills, or even piece of paper saying "You get this much from _____". Inside the boxes were random items like popcorn or pineapples or towels. Some even included money as well. Either way, you won. Some just more than others.

The games included Trivia (Where you ahd to answer a question like name all of your grandpa's siblings), Creative (where you were given an object and you had to improv three different uses for it), Artistic (where you were given art supplies so that you could construct or draw a piece related to whatever was assigned to you), Song (you had to sing a song with a certain word in it) and Dance (music played and you had to groove. 'Nuff said). Since everyone in the family HAD to play, good times for sure.

The Easter Bunny made a third public appearance for the little cousins, nephew and niece. He also had to play the game and scored big time. Bwahaha!

Late into the evening, I watched the little cousin play the most insane game of basketball ever. There were no rules, no teams and no common sense. I'll never forget my 13 year old cousin doing Michael Jackson taunts to psyche out long-distance shots. Too great.

We left around midnight because the family was too full to really leave any earlier.

The next day, sis and I decided to hit up the big Asian mall. She wanted to get her hurr did (hair done) and I wanted to shop a bit. Just for kicks, we invited Pixie along because she hadn't been there for awhile either.

We were supposed to meet my cousin (AKA Mr. Rhythm Guitarist) and his sister at the front entrance so we waited there for awhile with Pixie. Before they arrived, Mr. Vocalist and his brother appeared by coincidence. They were in search of new bags and so they joined the party.

The 6 of us escorted lil sis to the salon where she was to get her hair coloured blue and purple. After getting her settled, we went off. Mr. Vocalist and I were in a crazy shopping mood that day. We tried on almost anything and everything. Pixie was in search of a nice necklace for her friend. The others just... hung around, I guess.

I bought Pixie some Dippin' Dots (Ice Cream of the Future) for the first time ever. She was quite impressed. If you don't know what they are, it's little dots of ice cream. that fill a small cup. Little dots, big taste. It's fascinating. And very yummy. Try it if you ever get the chance.

At one point while I was trying on some shirts, Pixie remarked that I had the body for everything. Gehehe....

I'll just let that one float.

At the end of the spree, we had each only bought one thing each. Except Pixie. She spent her money on snacks. She decided to buy her friend's necklace downtown because she couldn't find anything there. I bought an olive-green mossy like crinkled long-sleeved shirt, Mr. Vocalist bought a messenger bag and... I really didn't care what the other's bought. Heh.

Pixie had to leave early so she didn't get a chance to see lil sisters new hair colours. I walked her to the bus stop again and we hugged.... again. Gehehe....

When I returned to the mall, I remember to visit a good friend of mine at the anime store. He sold me the whole Fruits Basket anime series on DVD for just $15 even. I had been meaning to watch it for awhile and now I got my chance. Otaku-mornings, here I come!

Lil sisters salon visit lasted a long long time but the end result was incredibly cool. She under-layered streaks of blue and purple on her naturally-coloured black hair and in the sunlight, lemme say that it looks fucking ace.

Mr. Vocalist's brother had to leave too so it left the five of us to search for somewhere to eat. We decided to try a new all-you-can-eat sushi place at the side of the mall. The restaurant looked awesome. It was previously a nightclub and so the decor was pretty modern. The food was damn good and the service was fast. Good good times.

After toasting a great weekend, we ate a lovely dinner and I thought it would be nice if it were my treat. So I paid and we were off..

After that day, nothing much happened. I watched a few episodes of Fruits Basket (Which by the way is extremely cute) and got some work done.

I've been in a writing mood recently so I've been spending time in my backyard armed with Arizonas and my laptop, just typing away at whatever comes to mind. I've got a story or two in the making. I may or may not share it with anyone. It's been awhile since I've written ANYTHING so it's harder than I thought. But I'll continue to spill my mind into text moulds anyway.

I gotta say, it's been quite the eventful past few days and... I'm fucking glad I managed to type it up and share it with you. I hope this post didn't bore you. I had fun writing it... All 5 days...

*grumble*

I SHOULD be updating regularly from here on out. I'm gonna be kicking myself for missing a whole bunch of parts but if I can't remember them at 5am, they're not as important as the king of termites...

Yeah, I said it. Shut up.

Before I go, I'll leave you with the same view Pixie and I shared that one lovely day.

Cheers.

P.S. Don't point out my spelling mistakes or grammar errors. I know they're there... It's late. I should be asleep....

Butterfly drummer
Well I certainly am in a fantastic mood tonight. I've got a bit of news. Well.. On bit of news. The rest is just crap I'm gonna blab about.

Let's start with the best part:

I got my job back! *thumbs up*

My boss gave me a call to see how I was doing. I faked being sick to make him think I was dying without money. *laughs* Just kidding. I actually do have a bit of a cough and I went into a coughing fit as soon as he called.

He told me they actually sold out of presentations. SOLD OUT! Yes. The presentations I've worked on for several weeks have been sold out. You know what that means... MONEY!!!

Money means they can give me stuff to do AND pay me. So, I am very stoked about returning to my humble cluttered desk. Very awesome stuff..

I jammy-jammed with the bandboys at Mr. Guitarist's place on Tuesday. Unlike the insane little jam we had on Saturday at the studio, I remembered my earplugs. So I mashed away with no cares. I think I deafened the others though. The jam room is pretty small and the walls are bare so sound bounces like crazy in there.

The jam went well. Mr. Bassist continues to be a dick. But a dick we have control over. Yes. We control dicks. *laughs* He was going on about how he wanted to produce rap. We very bluntly told him to shut it and play his damn instrument.

After the ja, we played a fun game that involved magnetic marble-like balls. I made it up. I called it "Take these balls and throw it". And that's just what we did. There were casualties and yes, maybe a death. But it was a fun game. the rules were to throw the balls and everybody lost. The end.

Our upcoming live is gonna be fun. We've got 3 songs that last about 13 minutes overall. We really honestly don't care what happens. We're gonna play, and people are gonna hear us. We've invited about 4 people. If they're the only ones in the crowd, there's nothing to worry about. It simply gives us more freedom to be stupid.

And it will be on video FOR SURE!

So when I get my hands on a copy, I'll edit it and make it pretty. then I'll probably YouTube the bastard and show all of you. How's that?

[Note:] Our current vocalist is not the ORIGINAL Mr. Vocalist. He's a replacement until Mr. Vocalist is done being busy with school.

So... This girl I'm constantly referring to. For the sake of using a name, I'll call her Kanon because he's her fave member of AnCafe, a J-Rock group she's crazy about and slowly becoming one of my crazes too.

I think I'll ya a bit about her then...

She's one of the girls from the Polysics concert I went to back in September.

Our first outing was with the other two I met at the concert. We went to see Rock Horror Pciture show downtown and it was fun. Although it was February, we exchanged Christmas gifts that day. I bought them Pucca dolls with homemade Polysics visors and tags, and they made me a shirt with an octopus on it. It's quite a story actually. I had told them about how I missed an shirt of mine that I had lost. It was olive green, short-sleeved and had an octopus on it. So they went and made me one. The way they designed the shirt was quite different form the original, but it was a really thoughtful gift regardless. RHPS was awesome as always. And so ended our first night out.

For our second outing, I went to an Anime/Jpop/Jrock/Cosplay dance with her and some other friends. It was pretty spur of the moment actually. Kanon said to me, "Hey, Wanna come?" I said "Yeah, but I'm not gonna cosplay..."

Funny thing is that I did.. Kanon, another girl I met at the concert (whom I shall call Bou) and another were cosplaying at AnCafe. The guy (the third person I met at the concert, who I shall call Miku) who was supposed to cosplay as Teruki (Ancafe's drummer) chickened out and changed his mind. So I stepped in and put on the suit. It fit me pretty well. Just fit enough to allow me to dance. And dance I did...

...as Teruki.

A dance full of nothing but Japanese tracks just was so cool. And there were fun cosplayers there as well. I got to meet a lot of them at the end of the night when a whole group (including our AnCafe peeps) went out for some late dinner. I met an older version of me with less hair who was simply hilarious. I never got in touch with him afterwards but boy, he was fun. As were the rest. I also met a girl who was just fun too. I'll call her Cloud.

After dinner, it was about 4am in the morning. Almost everyone went home except for Miku, Cloud and myself. We decided to rent a hotel room because we were bored and going home was no fun. Lacking almost a day of sleep, we had some pretty messed up fun in the hotel. Ice cubes, visions of Eskimos, chili and lots lots more. Fun fun!

The next... afternoon, we left and to Kanon's place for a sec. Afterwards, we all left. Miku went home so I went to Cloud's place to play PS2. I didn't get any sleep at all so I went home pretty early after that.

Our next outing was a few days later. On V-Day. *nods* I know some of you are still pissed off at me for my.. mood around that day. That one day, I did manage to eat something. Why? Because I went out with Miku and Kanon. We were all pretty miserable that day so we decided to just have a bit of fun as singles. We went out for sushi and I had Spider Rolls and... a fair amount of sake. Afterwards, we wandered downtown and then went to the arcade where we played DDR and a punching bag game (I got the highscore by kicking it).

Before the night ended, I gave Kanon a flower and ran away before she could say anything. I thought I was in the clear while waiting for my next train but she appeared right beside me and thanked me before she left. Wuhh...

The weekend following that day was a big party at Miku's house. After work, I bought what was required for Bazooka Joe's and headed over to his place. There were about 20 something people there that night. At first, I was pretty shy. Kanon, Miku and Bou kept trying to get me to talk a bit more but it didn't work so well. People were playing Cranium downstairs and I was put on a team that abandoned me by the end of the game. I won anyway.

...then the drinking started. I got a bit too excited. I hadn't even drank a drop and I was out of my shell. Joshie-boy bartended that night. I made the kitchen floor my "area" and I invited everyone nearby to have a BJ (bazooka joe). Everyone loved them. They're pretty easy to down and very tasty so they went fast. And that's when things started to happen. Strip contests, random loud singing, male leg shaving and so on.

I won a stuffed animal from Miku for drinking from what now is known as the Joshie-Sized Shotglass. Basically, it was a Batman mug. I fixed a BJ in there and downed it while someone played "The Entertainer" on the grand piano.

I think it was kinda cool how it happened. At first, nobody knew me and I didn't know anyone. Then all of a sudden, I was crowned "The Josh" (as if there were others...) AND I knew... almost everyone. *laughs* It was a good night. We spent the later hours of the morning playing N64.

Kanon slept on the couch and I slept beneath her on the floor. Kinda like a pet. thought she was under the influence of BJ's, we had a nice talk before going to bed. She told me something that kinda shocked me a bit and when I later found out she WASN'T under the influence, I was shocked even more...

The next morning, I headed off with my new stuffed animal and bottle of orange goo.

Later that week, Miku and I were chatting over MSN and he revealed to me that Kanon kinda liked me. Miku and Kanon are really close friends so this wasn't a joke. Unfortunately, I heard the new at work and I started to get nervous at the thought of it. My coworkers teased me.

Miku then got me to call her and ask her out on a date. when I did, I was a nervous wreck. I was all shaky and I could swear, I had gone pale. It was a group date but still, it made me nervous. The nervousness got to me eventually and I vomited at work...

The coworkers teased yet again.

That weekend was the date. We went to a vegetarian place that had pretty good food. Of course, I didn't eat much because I was sitting right beside her and.. Yeah, I suck.

We then headed out to Body Worlds 2, an exhibit at the Science Centre that features real human bodies all sectioned up and stuff. It was really fascinating. Even for Kanon and I who are vegetarian. Once we got into the exhibit, the other pairs left Kanon and I to wander on our own. It was sweet but I still kinda was nervous. Damn. I say nervous alot, don't I?

Anyway, when the night was done, everybody had to go home except Kanon, Miku and myself. So we all went to Miku's place to sleepover and watch movies. We rented Saw II and Valiant. Miku's basement was freezing to Kanon and I stayed under several blankets to keep warm. Personally, I was sweating bullets being that close to her but I pretended to be cold anyway. Her hand got cold every now and then so I held them in mine. And she also leaned on me.. I would constantly pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. the pinch marks lasted for awhile so it was damn real.

The next morning, we helped Miku clean his house because it was still a mess from the party before.

Oh. I almost forgot to mention that I almost got in trouble for not coming home those three weekend in a row without telling anyone. But.. It's all good.

She had left for Costa Rica the next week and I got to chat with her for a bit while she visited a cybercafe. I also talked with Miku and he encouraged me to ask her out again. I thought it was a good idea since I didn't say much during the last outing. So when she got back, I asked her out to dinner. A catch-up dinner so to speak.

We went out on a Friday to a sushi bar. Though what we ordered wouldn't be considered much, we took almost forever to eat it. When we weren't chatting, we were covering our mouths and trying not to make eye contact while chewing these humongous rolls (which were appropriately name "Monster Rolls"). She bought me a purple dreamcatcher AND a bracelet with butterflies on it. Purple is my current colour craze and the butterflies.. well.. Okay. Here's the story.

She's an artist. And incredible artist. She like drawing for her firneds. She drew me a Christmas card and a V-Day card. After the big party at Miku's house, she wanted to draw the events. Before doing so she asked what kind of animal I'd be. She gives her friend animalist personalities when drawing. So I was given a butterfly because at the party, I fluttered about talking to EVERYONE. So she drew me with wings. That's how I became a butterfly. (She also drew me drowning because she knows I can't swim but she's really eager to teach me... I'm kinda getting excited for that)

(Kinda explains the new banner as well, doesn't it?)

Anyway. After dinner, we decided to check out a movie. When we got to the theatre, Hill Have Eyes was the only show left so we went to see that. I was a real dork because before entering the line, I had just remembered I had two movie passes in my bag. I gasped and went to look for them and she thought I had lost something. when I pulled out the ticket, it was apparent that I had lost my mind..

The movie was pretty disturbing at first but it slowly became cornier and cornier. By the end, the audience was laughing and cheering. It was entertaining, that's for sure.

That pretty much covers all the big events with this girl so far. I haven't seen her since but we do chat over MSN alot. Our next plan is to cosplay as other people. What I mean by that is we're gonna wear clothes we don't usually wear. We're gonna change our names as well. She'll be Cody and I'm gonna be Jaden. It should be fun.

Boy do I miss seeing her though...

*ahem*

So there.. You can't ask about her anymore because I told you pretty much everything...

...everything except for the cute little convo we have online. But anyway... There you have it.

So today, I shall be trying on a bunny costume. I'm gonna be helping out with the Easter Egg hunt for the children at church on Easter Sunday and... they convinced me to dress up as a bunny. So expect pictures.

Hmm.. I think I covered what I needed to cover.

Band, check.
Girl, check.
Bunny, check.

Alright. That's enough. Grab a Pocky on the way out, okay? You take care now...

Cheers.

For the first time all over again
At this point in time, all i wanna yell is "Screw the big update.."

If you visited SomeGuy's spot at the appropriate time, you've already heard about my encounter in the West. Yes, he headbutt me but I also bought lots of music and had perfect strangers run their hands through my hair. That's pretty much it.

I think what I also wanted to include in my super mega happy big post 100% was The Lord of the Rings musical, my sister's big 18th birthday bash, and about a girl who I'm currently quite into and how she's into me AND how I went on my first ever date with her....

...but you don't wanna hear me blab on about that, do you?

I thought not.

The reason I'm posting today is because I have some news. Like I mentioned before, I'm back with the band. Everything fell back into place all crazy like once again. Totally Tetris, y'know?

Last night (Thursday), I went to Mr. Guitarist's house to jam. Mr. Bassist picked me up and we headed there around 3:30ish. Since we've been FINALLY getting warmer weather, we jammed in the garage for the first time this year. Rock season is beginning.

It felt awesome being together in that garage again. After a good 25 minutes of going on about how their other drummer is a freak who make sound effects and theme music while playing with swords, gets tired after TWO songs, and can't keep a simple beat, we finally began playing.

After playing an electronic kit with nobody else playing live tunes, it felt like a good punch in the ears, but it also felt good. Just like old times. Mr. Bassist pounding thick lines from his bass, Mr. Guitarist shredding his black & green guitar, and of course, myself drumming my life away.

Everything from here on out is being recorded on Mr. Bassist's digital camera. Perhaps I'll put up a video of a good jam on YouTube or something so you guys can see.

We only stopped for a few minutes in between to have a sip of water or something. Otherwise, it was a good 5 hour jam. The sun still goes down fairly early so we had to stop. But damn, jamming felt soo soo good.

We went out for sushi at a new all-you-can-eat place they recently discovered. They've become very nice about me not eating meat. They already thought about places we could go with seafood/veggie alternatives and really, that's wicked.

For the rest of the night, we talked about the past and the good times, about how their other drummer is a fucking freak, and about our future.

Guess what's in the future. The NEAR near future.

A live.

On the 7th of April.

Yup. Back with the band and I get to play a live. And you wouldn't believe where. At the El Mocambo. That's where our first live was and we're pretty much playing there again. Deja vu-ness..

I'm pretty excited. We're selling NO tickets. We're just gonna play our minds out for random people who are there, get our vocalist drunk and watch him puke onstage. Oh yes. All on camera too.

Oh wow, it's been awhile, hasn't it?

I'm pretty tired from the session. My arms look green from all the veins popping out. *laughs* Drumming rocks! I love green!

I think I'll shut up. Yes. Good idea, Josh.

Cheers.

As if nothing happened...
Losing the job is still kinda bumming me out.

That mega-post I keep mentioning is probably not going to come anytime soon. I think I'm most likely going to just fill you all in here and there...

Speaking of filling in..

Something Else is back together again.

It's rather much to explain so I will leave it at that. Goodnight everyone.

Cheers.

A good excuse
How's everyone tonight? That's great to hear, my friends. Great to hear...

That long post of mine is probably not gonna come anytime soon. Not only am I very distracted, I'm just going a bit nuts...

I'll fill ya in with some crud anyway:

- I haven't had a chance to have a decent chat with a certain someone. It's bumming me out but I suppose the reason behind it is that she's busy and I'm a dork.

- Little sister got to see Coldplay live in concert on Wednesday. I'm really happy for her. Apparently, the Toronto concert was one of the biggest shows they've ever had. and little sis got to see 'em. She's a huge fan. She deserves it.

- I saw Lord of the Rings: The Musical on March 5th. Bloody awesome. Come to Toronto to see it. I swear, it's worth the trip.

- Drumming to piano pieces is rather fun. I'd do anything for a piano player in my life.

Oh right.... I got laid off.

Joshie's jobless.

Cheers.

P.S. That last bit about me getting laid off.. It's not registering in my head just yet.. When I start rocking back and forth in a tuxedo, sitting on the streets of downtown Toronto singing Sukiyaki and dragging my nails across the cement, that's when you know, I've truly TRULY lost my poor fucking mind. Thanks.

Focus focus FOCUS FOCUS!!!!!!
I'm slowly getting my posting groove back. It's getting bloody hard to with all these distractions. Trust me, I'm not one to skimp on the details so it's either a long post or nothing at all. This is considered nothing.

Seems we have time to kill until then...

*reaches out hand*

Shall we dance?

Cheers.

Pretty things aren't meant for silence
I've been pretty quiet on my end of the MyO globe lately, So I've decided to "return". (Yes. I use quotation marks because I technically didn't leave.)

Oh my, the stories I have for you. As soon as I get back into things, consider the days after endless updates.

Get comfy guys... Long posts are coming back.

Cheers.

Untold tales
March 3rd, 2006

If I told you I was fine, I'd be half-lying about semi-truths.

This community has pretty much leeched itself onto me so it's not easy letting go. Therefore, I won't.

Today is my sister's 18th birthday. In our culture, it's pretty much the BIGGEST birthday a girl can celebrate and the parentals are pretty much going all out for her party tomorrow. So I wish her a happy 18th.

In other happy news, MyO's classy gal, Molly is getting married. So again, I wish her the awesomest day ever. Congratulations!

"What untold tales?"

Precisely. The good things in my life will be kept only to myself for awhile. It seems raving on about how sweet something (...or someone) is always tends to jinx it. I'm just gonna enjoy myself and maybe throw in a few words here and there to keep you all posted.

L'Arc~En~Ciel is playing simply because... well... I shouldn't say too much.

Have a great day everybody. Thanks again...

Nevermind.
