1...2...3...4...
Today is the big show. It is currently 12:00 am and I'm going straight to bed after posting.

Yesterday's rehearsal went very well. We saw the other bands that are performing. Okay, I'm not trying to be bigheaded or anything, but they weren't that great. There was at least one major flaw with each band,. Either the vocals sucked ass, the guitars or drums were drowned out, massive feedback, each band member was totally out of sync with the others, etc. Some vocalist was completely off tempo. The people running the show were amazed that they allowed them to perform. Another thing I want to point out is that none of the bands had stage presence. The drummers sat there and the guitarists and bassist simply stood still. If you were to see them from behind, they looked like they weren't playing at all. Luckily for our band, everybody FEELS the music. We rock out like the rock gods themselves.

We were the last to rehearse.

People loved us. The other bands had no choice but to rock with the sound. Our setlist is fairly short. We'll be playing "Haruka Kanata" from Naruto, "My World Down" by Meister from Beck the anime, and lastly "Turning Japanese" by No Use For A Name (Cover of The Vapors).

We heard that this might be a competition. However it may just be a rumour. There might be some sort of prize for the best performers. We personally don't care if we win. However if we are chosen as one of the best three, we'll have to do an encore song. The song we'll do is "Yokan" by Dir En Grey. My band boys and I know this for a fact and I don’t mean to sound arrogant but we sound better than all the other bands anyway. Except one.

There's a band with my friend as the drummer (who has incredible technical skills and lots of experience), his girlfriend on guitar (She's pretty damn good. Enough said) and another dude on bass/guitar (This guy is part of a musical bloodline!). They're our biggest competition. The drummer has been drumming for four years. I've been drumming for close to half a year now. He actually said I was pretty good for my experience and my style is pretty crazy. You don't have any idea how great it felt to be complimented by him.

Our band got compliments from a lot of people and we haven't even started the show. We've only officially been a band for about 3 months now and none of us have had more than a year experience with our instruments. We're even center stage! All the other bands are playing on platforms to the right and left of us. We get to share the center stage with a professional band from out of town. Apparently, we're professional too. Heh. This is so cool.

It's incredible how things are working out for us. Everything is just falling into place. We were offered free time at a recording studio (with professional equipment) by a friend of ours who is doing the audio programming for the show. And you remember my friend who teaches anime? He's going to write us some lyrics for our original songs AND he's designed us a poster that we're going to put up for the show. I'll see if I can get a copy and scan it. Holy wow. As a new band, we're pretty excited with everything that's going on. This is our first official performance in front of people we don't know. We've played for friends and family but that doesn't count.

I'm soooooooooo stoked! And you know what's even better?!

PIXIE IS COMING TO THE SHOW!!!!!!!!

Yes! She's going to be there. I haven't heard her reaction to the drawing. Perhaps after the show, I'll get to talk with her.

So whether we win or not, the band boys and I will be celebrating at Korean BBQ.

So yeah. Wish me luck everyone. Pray my arms muscles are relaxed, my hands healed, my sticks sturdy, my drumheads remain un-broken and my energy infinite.

I'm probably going to be busy and tired today so I won't be able to make it to anyone's site. I apologize in advance people. Have a great day.

Cheers.
