Tricksy drink and death by enchanted forestry
Today went well. Yesterday, I mean. Wednesday. There.
Work was alright. I had a strange conversation with my boss. We talked about how cups, glasses and containers are designed for certain beverages. You've got coffee mugs for coffee, glasses for water or milk or pop, big mugs for beer, paper cups for water, bottles for beer or pop or iced tea and so on. The average person doesn't question this kinda stuff but have you ever mixed it up? Like coffee out of a glass? Or milk out of a bottle?
It's kinda weird if you think about it. Something I find definitely strange is when I drink water from a straw. I've always chugged icy cold water from a glass or water bottle. I just HAVE to feel that water touch my lips. When I drink it from a straw I think, "This iced tea is f*cking tasteless." Okay. I'm a nut but that's how my mind works.
And I'm talking about regular iced tea. When I drink my Arizona's, it's straight from the bottle, yo.
Aside from the weird thoughts, I did some jamming on my g-tar. I made up a random song about how up rooted trees are going to be the death of me. It was completely spur of the moment so I don't remember what I sang actually.
I was inspired by the recent storms we've had over here. Rain came down like super soaker hits from Heaven. It was so incredibly heavy. And the wind was blowing like never before. Local neighbourhoods had whole trees uprooted, branches crash down on rooftops and one fancy house had their outdoor fountain broken up by a flying tree. (Hehe. Flying tree. That'd be wild.)
Thankfully, my house wasn't hit as hard. There are some chunky branches here and there but nothing too devastating. This one park that is particularly popular for wedding photos got hit pretty bad. Their most popular spot for shooting a wedding party is a wooden bridge over a river. The storms just washed that old thing away. It's a shame really. I remember getting pic taken there as the ring bearer for my aunt's wedding. Then again at a later one for my dad's friends wedding. I was 16 at the time, I think. Ahh good memories. I remember catching that stupid elastic thing that goes around the bride’s leg. Then I had to put it up a some girl’s leg. Heh. That was fun.
Anyway. I did a bit of sketching. I drew a new pic for my welcome banner type thing. Tell me what you think. I also drew some random anime people in pyjamas. I'm not done it but I'll see if I can finish it up soon for you guys to check out.
So today (Thursday), I'm off to see the three plays at the Shaw Festival. It's going to be an allllll day thing because I've gotta drive to Niagara and back. I'll post about it tomorrow. And then, shopping on Friday! Yay!
I'm kinda in the mood for some old school hot green tea. It's chilly enough in my house as it is. Have a lovely Thursday, everyone!
Cheers.
