   Hi, pals!
Doctrine & Covenants 94:8-9
And ye shall not suffer any unclean thing to come in unto it; and my glory shall be there, and my presence shall be there.
But if there shall come into it any unclean thing, my glory shall not be there; and my presence shall not come into it.

The Lord wants us to be with Him. But we can't enjoy the light if we allow other things to get between it and us. Let's work forward to be in that light! ^_^

Update

Equus: Well, I've been reading and writing and drawing. XD Fun!

Xihuitl: And she submitted one out of four applications.

Equus: ^^; But I did visit the university website, at least, and sign up. Not apply...but sign up as an interesting potential person.

Xihuitl: Interesting? Indeed.

Equus: I mean, interested. In going there. Augh.

Xihuitl: Love to you all, and hugs. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ be with you.

Doctrine & Covenants 11: 21
Seek not to declare my word, but first seek to obtain my word, and then shall your tongue be loosed; then, if you desire, you shall have my Spirit and my word, yea, the power of God unto the convincing of men.

It is by Heavenly Father's Holy Spirit that we obtain a testimony--in time, a sure knowledge--of the truth of His works. It is a good seed. Give it a try, and you'll feel the results.

Alma 32: 28, 30, 33 Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say within yourselves—It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me.
[...]
But behold, as the seed swelleth, and sprouteth, and beginneth to grow, then you must needs say that the seed is good; for behold it swelleth, and sprouteth, and beginneth to grow. And now, behold, will not this strengthen your faith? Yea, it will strengthen your faith: for ye will say I know that this is a good seed; for behold it sprouteth and beginneth to grow.
[...]
And now, behold, because ye have tried the experiment, and planted the seed, and it swelleth and sprouteth, and beginneth to grow, ye must needs know that the seed is good.

Fact of the day:
"The "Oxford History of Music" makes mention of the first documented bagpipe being found on a Hittite slab at Eyuk. This sculptured bagpipe has been dated to 1,000 B.C. Biblical mention is made of the bagpipe in Genesis and in the third Chapter of Daniel where the "symphonia" in Nebuchadnezzar's band is believed to have been a bagpipe. These early pipes or "Pan" pipes, without the bag or reservoir, were probably the second musical instrument to evolve. Musical history dictates that pipers have to take a back seat to percussion instruments in this case. These early pipes used materials with a natural bore (hollow reeds, corn stalks, bamboos, etc.)"

Hi-za, people! Did you all have a good Easter? I never work Sundays, but they asked me to work both of the last Sundays. Thankfully, I didn't have to.

My friends, including Starflower, and I had an Easter egg hunt, and I had one with Starflower's family unexpectedly on Sunday. She and I go to church at a different ward (congregation) than my parents do, because it's closer to her house.

Anywho...God be with you!

And this we know, that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose the third day from the tomb. He broke the bands of death and rose in glory, that we all may rise and return to Him and our Heavenly Father. And if we return to Them in love, righteousness, and humble obedience to Their infinite knowledge, we can live with Them and our friends and family again. In our Lord Jesus Christ's holy name, amen.

Fact of the day:
"Scotland's national instrument, the Bagpipe or in Gaelic "piob-mhor" (the great pipe) is not, contrary to popular belief, an instrument which has its origins in and has diffused from Scotland. The bagpipe is an instrument of great antiquity, an instrument which has its origins in the Middle East and traveled through and evolved in Europe alongside the diffusion of early civilization."

(This and the upcoming facts of the day are from Henderson's Ltd. "History of the Great Highland Bagpipe"

Hugs and pocket hugs. Love, and may Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's Holy Spirit be with you!

   Easter
For Christ died and was resurrected and lives for us! Hosannah! Praise to the Lord. For if the people would not say this, the rocks would shout, "Hosannah!"

paraphrase...^_^

Matthew 28:5-7
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Doctrine & Covenants 76:23-24
For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father—
That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God.

Happy Easter, all!

I hope to share an old Easter pic with you guys. ^_^

Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Thank you, Pelalyna, for your comment. ^_^ Heavenly Father does love us all.

2 Corinthians 10:7
Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

Equus: Kyo-clone and Kakashi-clone have hidden their map from me. ^^;

Kurama-clone: That doesn't seem completely polite. It is your farm.

Equus: That's okay. We'll find it. Meanwhile, just saying hi, guys. And talking to Refi. ^_^

Xihuitl: God and Jesus Christ, and Their Holy Spirit and love, be with you all. Glomps! And here are your pocket hugs.

Joshua
Be strong and of good courage, for I am the Lord your God.
paraphrase

1 Nephi 11
And the angel said unto me: Behold the Lamb of God, yea, even the Son of the Eternal Father! Knowest thou the meaning of the tree which thy father saw?
And I answered him, saying: Yea, it is the love of God, which sheddeth itself abroad in the hearts of the children of men; wherefore, it is the most desirable above all things.
And he spake unto me, saying: Yea, and the most joyous to the soul.
And after he had said these words, he said unto me: Look! And I looked, and I beheld the Son of God going forth among the children of men
; and I saw many fall down at his feet and worship him.

Love and hugs and glomps. Remember, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you. Hugs! ^_^

Therefore, the keys of this dispensation are committed into your hands; and by this ye may know that the great and dreadful day of the Lord is near, even at the doors.

Heavenly Father is our God and wishes to show us the way to Him, to live eternally with Him and our family and friends. Update

Equus: Kyo-clone and Kakashi-clone have finally completed their map. As soon as I can pry it away from them, I'll show it to you guys.

Xihuitl: It's very impressive. They mapped the whole farm. At least, everything a human can find.

Equus: And yes, Refi-chan, our guest tried to get through a crack in the wall. He's very small....Haru-clone found a bunch of them in the barn, and he was the last one to try to get out. The others escaped. We've been looking for them, but...

Xihuitl: By the name, he says his name is Emraulde.

Equus: Yes, he can talk vocally and telepathically. His voice is very high-pitched and tiny, but his thoughts move so fast that they're hard to figure out.

Xihuitl: You're a human. I understand him.

Equus: How? You're a draft horse. He's--

Kurama-clone: Miss Equus, Have you seen everyone else? It's dinner time.

Equus: Aw, you made dinner? Thank you! *glomps Kurama-clone* That's perfect, because Sano's coming tonight. And he hasn't met Emraulde yet. Don't worry, everyone, I'll post a picture of the little guy soon!

Xihuitl: Yes, she is trying to make you guess what he is. He has cloven hooves and green hair. He loves delicate and rich food, and he dislikes anything too bristly. He is a fun little guy.

Equus: I thought you didn't like him.

Xihuitl: ^^; I'll go ring the dinner bell.

John 6:37, 39-40
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 17: 9
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

3 Nephi 15: 24
But behold, ye have both heard my voice, and seen me; and ye are my sheep, and ye are numbered among those whom the Father hath given me.

Doctrine & Covenants 50: 41
Fear not, little children, for you are mine, and I have overcome the world, and you are of them that my Father hath given me;

He wants us all to come unto Him--all to be His people and saints, away from the world.

John 15: 14 (13-15).
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I bcommand you.

Believe and trust in God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Love.

Doctrine & Covenants 84: 77
And again I say unto you, my friends, for from henceforth I shall call you friends, it is expedient that I give unto you this commandment, that ye become even as my friends in days when I was with them, traveling to preach the gospel in my power;

Doctrine & Covenants 88: 62
And again, verily I say unto you, my friends, I leave these sayings with you to ponder in your hearts, with this commandment which I give unto you, that ye shall call upon me while I am near—

Doctrine & Covenants 93: 45
Verily, I say unto my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., or in other words, I will call you friends, for you are my friends, and ye shall have an inheritance with me—

"On occasion I have observed parents shopping to clothe a son about to enter missionary service. The new suits are fitted, the new shoes are laced, and shirts, socks, and ties are bought in quantity. I met one father who said to me, 'Brother Monson, I want you to meet my son.' Pride popped his buttons; the cost of the clothing emptied his wallet; love filled his heart. Tears filled my eyes when I noticed that his [the father's] suit was old, his shoes well worn; but he felt no deprivation. The glow on his face was a memory to cherish."
Thomas S. Monson, "An Attitude of Gratitude," Ensign, Feb. 2000, 4

The great thing is that we can know for ourselves the truth. We aren't supposed to simply say, "Since so-and-so says it's this way, it is." We can trust in others' testimonies for a while, but then we need to know for ourselves. And we can, when we ask our Heavenly Father. God is our Heavenly Father and loves us perfectly and purely. Jesus Christ is His Son and our Saving Redeemer, Who came to Earth to atone for our sins. They know the right path, for They see what is unknown to us and is darkness. They will show us the way, which is through Them and to Them. The joy of Their love and peace is wondrous. This is God's true Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with His true prophet and authority on the earth. Believe, come unto Him, have rest and peace and joy. As They love us, love Them, each other, and yourself. In my Lord Jesus Christ's holy name, amen.

2 Nephi 14:2-6
Compare Isaiah 4.
In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious; the fruit of the earth excellent and comely to them that are escaped of Israel.
And it shall come to pass, they that are left in Zion and remain in Jerusalem shall be called holy, every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem—
When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged [...] by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning.
And the Lord will create upon every dwelling-place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for upon all the glory of Zion shall be a defence.
And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and a covert from storm and from rain.

Luke 14: 11
For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Doctrine and Covenants 112:2-5
Verily I say unto you, there have been some few things in thine heart and with thee with which I, the Lord, was not well pleased.
Nevertheless, inasmuch as thou hast abased thyself thou shalt be exalted; therefore, all thy sins are forgiven thee.
Let thy heart be of good cheer before my face; and thou shalt bear record of my name, not only unto the Gentiles, but also unto the Jews; and thou shalt send forth my word unto the ends of the earth.
Contend thou, therefore, morning by morning; and day after day let thy warning voice go forth;

Exodus 33: 11
And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

Doctrine and Covenants 84: 63

The Lord still guides us, with council as good for our day as for His, Adam's, and all. In my Lord Jesus Christ's holy name. Amen.

Post-age.
President Hinckley is a prophet of God, and we can all receive personal inspiration, just as others did and do. Because Heavenly Father loves us all and is looking out for us all. Trust in Them; They will always bring you through home. In my Lord Jesus Christ's holy name, amen.

Fact of the day:
There are three mimics in the US--catbirds, brown thrashers, and mockingbirds. While they have their own calls, you can also tell them apart, generally, by how many times they mimic one call before going on to the next. In general: The catbird repeats calls once. The brown thrasher repeats calls about twice. The mockingbird repeats them three times or so.

Refi is starting a Q&A column, so feel free to ask her questions. Religious, personal, anything goes as long as you aren't trying to track her down. And are Refi-safe, which is G-rated, which is what I agree with. ^_^ Arigato (bows), and hugs!

Update

Equus: Our little guest is up and about, and he is so cute!

Xihuitl: Equus, calm down. He's also very tiny.

Equus: I wouldn't hurt him for the world, Xihuitl.

Kurama-clone: Yes, Miss Equus, but you can be very...rambunctious.

Equus: Nice vocabulary, Kurama-clone. Where are Kyo-clone and Kakashi-clone?

Kurama-clone: In your library drawing a map of the farm.

Equus: Oh. Okay. Good. That gives me an idea. But first, just so everyone knows, our guest is doing incredibly well. Xihuitl, Kurama-clone, and Haru-clone have all done an excellent job taking care of him. He's healed from his attempt to go through a too-small crack in the wall, and he is very energetic. And fast. And hard to catch. ^^; But he loves rose petals and good alfalfa. I'll show you a picture soon!

Xihuitl: Love to you all. May Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's love and Spirit be felt and followed.

Kurama-clone: And here are your pocket hugs. Take as many as you need, and have a good day. ^_^
