   Hola!
"Those who will receive the Lord Jesus Christ as the source of their salvation will always lie down in green pastures, no matter how barren and bleak the winter has been."
~ Jeffrey R. Holland, “He Hath Filled the Hungry with Good Things,” Ensign, Nov. 1997, 64

Nehemiah 8: 13-14, 16-18
And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.
And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:
[...]
So the people went forth, and brought them [branches], and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.
And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of cNun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.
Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

Nehemiah 9: 3, 6-9, 21, 24-31
And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.
[...]
Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
Thou art the LORD the God, who didst choose Abram
, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;
And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a acovenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous:
And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;
[...]
Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.
[...]
So the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands[...]
And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they [...] delighted themselves in thy great goodness.
Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.
Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.
But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies;
And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.
Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.
Nevertheless for thy great mercies’ sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.

The Lord will always help those who trust in and obey Him. He can see the whole tapestry. We can't. And when we do His will, He helps and protects us, and He helps us to help the people around us.

Any questions? ^_^

Equus: *runs past with her arms full of stuff*

Xihuitl: Sorry. Equus has to finish her costume tonight, prepare the dessert she's taking to the party tomorrow, and get the upcoming birthday celebration ready. She's already got the stuff, at least. She's dying her hair black and white, Refi-chan.

Kurama #3: And don't worry, they sorted the argument out. We wouldn't let them eat until they did.

Xihuitl: I thought K-c would apologize. It just takes him a little while.

Emeraulde: So why are you making him gather roses?

Xihuitl: What do you mean, sweetie?

Emeraulde: Kakashi #4 said it was Kyo-clone's punishment for making Equus cry.

Xihuitl: ^/^ Really?

Sano: You're merciless, Xihuitl.

Xihuitl: He just needs to work on his manners.

Emeraulde: He's nice to me.

Xihuitl: Yes, he is. And he has improved. I'm just saying he can make some more improvements.

Kurama #3: Everyone can.

Sano: Including you, Xihuitl.

Xihuitl: Heh. ^^; True. Well...I'll go help K-c.

Equus: *meep* *runs back across the room with another armload of stuff*

Sano: Honey, watch out--

*CRASH!*

Haru #8: Are you all right, Miss Equus?

Equus: *in middle of pile o' stuff* Yes...o.o

Kurama #3: If you will please excuse us, we're going to help Miss Equus.

Sano: Come on, up you go. *helps Equus to her feet* Are you okay?

Equus: Mm-hmm. *hugs Sano, nuzzles his shoulder, and starts scrambling around again picking stuff up*

Xihuitl: *through window* Did somebody feed her sugar?

Sano: ^^;

Emeraulde: Here are your pocket hugs. Take care. ^_^

Equus: *pokes head in from kitchen* Whichever person you want, Refi-chan. Love, all!

Hi!
3 Nephi 11: 5-17
And again the third time they did hear the voice, and did aopen their ears to hear it; and their eyes were towards the sound thereof; and they did look steadfastly towards heaven, from whence the sound came.
And behold, the third time they did understand the voice which they heard; and it said unto them:
Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have glorified my name—hear ye him.
And it came to pass, as they understood they cast their eyes up again towards heaven; and behold, they saw a Man descending out of heaven; and he was clothed in a white robe; and he came down and stood in the midst of them; and the eyes of the whole multitude were turned upon him, and they durst not open their mouths, even one to another, and wist not what it meant, for they thought it was an angel that had appeared unto them.
And it came to pass that he stretched forth his hand and spake unto the people, saying:
Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.

And it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words the whole multitude fell to the earth; for they remembered that it had been prophesied among them that Christ should show himself unto them after his ascension into heaven.
And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto them saying:
Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole dearth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.
And it came to pass that the multitude went forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and did feel the prints of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come.
And when they had all gone forth and had witnessed for themselves, they did cry out with one accord, saying:
Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God! And they did fall down at the feet of Jesus, and did worship him.

Equus: Well...there's a birthday coming up. ^_^ Or there will be.

Xihuitl: It's supposed to be a surprise, Equus.

Sano: But they still don't know about it, Xihuitl. They don't get on the Internet.

Xihuitl: No, they live on the Internet. And they are free to come here and visit anytime, Sano.

Sano: >.>

Kyo-clone: They're not here right now anyway, Xihuitl.

Xihuitl: Why is everyone arguing with me?

Emeraulde: I'm not.

Equus: *eep* Emeraulde, where did you come from?

Emeraulde: I live here.

Equus: Heh heh. True.

Xihuitl: Um, Emeraulde sweetie, why don't you go help Kurama-chan in the garden?

Emeraulde: All right. *glances at Equus suspiciously and trots out*

K-c: Way to go, Equus. You almost gave it away.

Equus: o.o *whimpers*

Sano: Don't yell at her.

Xihuitl: He didn't yell. Equus honey, it's all right. Don't worry about it. As for you, K-c.

K-c: Well, it's true.

Kakashi #4: Why don't we go help take the dogs outside. Then we can get things ready for the birthday, Kyo-clone.

K-c: Yeah, sure. Whatever. (leaves)

Equus: *whimpering into Sano's shoulder*

Xihuitl: Equus, honey, it's okay. K-c will probably be back later to apologize.

Sano: Hmph. Don't count on it.

Xihuitl: You aren't helping, Rooster.

Sano: Hey!

Kurama #3: We interrupt our usual program in order to spare you listening to the endless argument.

Emeraulde: It's not really endless, Kurama-sama. Is it?

Kurama #3: ^^ Of course not. Just until they can sort it out.

Emeraulde: All right. Who were they talking about earlier?

Kurama #3: I don't know. I've been in the garden all afternoon.

Emeraulde: True.

Kurama #3: Thank you, Night Shade2, for visiting. ^_^ The weather has been fluctuating here. Thursday and today were mild, but yesterday was chilly and sometimes rainy. But they're all necessary and good in their own ways, aren't they? Emeraulde, why don't we go make dinner now? Then they'll have to come together and sort things out.

Emeraulde: All right.

Kurama #3: Remember, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you. Here are your hugs and pocket hugs for the weekend. Take care.

Emeraulde: God bless.

Fact of the day: Lagomorphs (such as rabbits and hares) and rodents have similarities, including the reason that they're often shown with bucktooth. Their incisors (the four front teeth, two on top, two on bottom) never stop growing. If they have maloccluded teeth, the teeth will grow too long for them to eat properly. But normal incisors are properly aligned and grind against each other, keeping each other at a proper length.

   It's getting chillier.
Mosiah 3: 19
For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

Heavenly Father will not let us go through more than we can bear, but He will help us learn and grow and become more perfect, like Him, through our afflictions--learning patience, tolerance, and love.

Matthew 18: 1-5
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

   Fall is in the air.
3 Nephi 7: 20-21
And the people saw it, and did witness of it, and were angry with him because of his power; and he did also do many more miracles, in the sight of the people, in the name of Jesus.
And it came to pass that the thirty and first year did pass away, and there were but few who were converted unto the Lord; but as many as were converted did truly signify unto the people that they had been visited by the power and Spirit of God, which was in Jesus Christ, in whom they believed.

Equus: I got to go to the new super Wal-Mart with my mom today, and I got some hair dye for my Halloween costume.

Xihuitl: And we got some food for a man who was begging for food. I know that there are places people can go for help, too--but when he thanked her, it was a good feeling.

Equus: "Inasmuch as ye do it unto one of these, your brethren, ye have done it unto me." Thus said the Lord. There are other ways to help, too. But for this time, it was what was right.

Xihuitl: And she put out her lightning globe this evening. It's in the front window.

Equus: It's so pretty. ^_^ And we have new neighbors! They move in on Monday, they belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they are town people who want to live in the country, and I've already gotten to spend a bit of time with the kids.

Xihuitl: She's older than any of them, but they seem to get along well enough.

Ezra 1: 1-4
Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.
And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.

Doctrine & Covenants 29: 1-5
Listen to the voice of Jesus Christ, your Redeemer, the Great I Am, whose arm of mercy hath atoned for your sins;
Who will gather his people even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, even as many as will hearken to my voice and humble themselves before me, and call upon me in mighty prayer.
Behold, verily, verily, I say unto you, that at this time your sins are forgiven you, therefore ye receive these things; but remember to sin no more, lest perils shall come upon you.
Verily, I say unto you that ye are chosen out of the world to declare my gospel with the sound of rejoicing, as with the voice of a trump.
Lift up your hearts and be glad, for I am in your midst, and am your advocate with the Father; and it is his good will to give you the kingdom.
And, as it is written——Whatsoever ye shall ask in faith, being united in prayer according to my command, ye shall receive.

There are a couple friends (Lonestar & her boyfriend, Applebee) I see regularly at Church, Family Home Evening, and Institute. I saw them last night, but they weren't at Institute tonight. As I was lamenting this fact to another friend, I saw Applebee sitting with his laptop. So I squealed his name and ran over to hug him. Poor guy moved his laptop out of the way, and he was berated for his lack of trust in me. Not in those terms...XD Lonestar was there, too, but she was being Visit Taught. Love and hugs.

I'm doing okay today. ^_^ I was tired at work, but that's because I've been staying up too late. But I'm home safely. Thankfully, especially considering how tired I was while driving. ^^;

At least you got the rest of the paycheck, Refi-chan. It happens to all of us. And taxes do help with good things. Thanks for your comment, and your's, Alex. (hug) You're kind. Love!

God our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you. That's why They've provided the truth. Pocket hugs and love to you all.

   It's a bright shiny day!
2 Chronicles 34: 1-2, 29-32
Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem one and thirty years.
And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left.
[...]
Then the king sent and gathered together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.
And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, great and small: and he aread in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of the LORD.
And the king stood in his place, and made a acovenant before the LORD, to bwalk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book.
And he caused all that were present in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand to it. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.

2 Chronicles 35: 3, 5, 16-18
And said unto the Levites that ataught all Israel, which were holy unto the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now the LORD your God, and his people Israel,
[...]
And astand in the holy place according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites.
[...]
So all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah.
And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.
And there was no apassover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Equus: Thanks, Refi-chan. Yep, wish you were here. And the symbolism in the scriptures is great. There are true and everlasting symbols, like the sun.

Xihuitl: And the valley is coming along, but we've hit a bit of a roadblock. Don't worry, though, we'll get it figured out. Love, and pocket hugs.

Equus: Remember, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you!

Fact of the day:
Gold does not react with other substances quickly or easily, so it pretty much lasts forever. ^_^

"To teach our children the gospel of Jesus Christ and to protect them from the influences of a wicked world, love must abide in our homes. We should cherish and care for our children with unwavering dedication. . . . You young parents who are beginning your families must guard against seeking financial gain, worldly comforts, or achievement at the expense of your children. You must guard against being so anxious to get to work or to a meeting that you do not have time for your family, especially time to listen to anxious little voices. Always remember this timeless counsel from a prophet of God, President David O. McKay: 'No other success can compensate for failure in the home.' (Improvement Era, June 1964, p. 445.)
"We cannot and we must not allow the school, community, television, or even Church organizations to establish our children's values. The Lord has placed this duty with mothers and fathers. It is one from which we cannot escape and one that cannot be delegated. Others may help, but parents remain accountable. Therefore, we must guard the sanctity of our homes, because that is where children develop their values, attitudes, and habits for everyday living."

La la la la-la-la. Happy Columbus Day!
JST Genesis 50: 24-32
And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die, and go unto my fathers; and I go down to my grave with joy. The God of my father Jacob be with you, to deliver you out of affliction in the days of your bondage; for the Lord hath visited me, and I have obtained a promise of the Lord, that out of the fruit of my loins, the Lord God will raise up a righteous branch out of my loins; and unto thee, whom my father Jacob hath named Israel, a prophet; (not the Messiah who is called Shilo;) and this prophet shall deliver my people out of Egypt in the days of thy bondage.
And it shall come to pass that they shall be scattered again; and a branch shall be broken off, and shall be carried into a far country; nevertheless they shall be remembered in the covenants of the Lord, when the Messiah cometh; for he shall be made manifest unto them in the latter days, in the Spirit of power; and shall bring them out of darkness into light; out of hidden darkness, and out of captivity unto freedom.
A seer shall the Lord my God raise up, who shall be a choice seer unto the fruit of my loins.
Thus saith the Lord God of my fathers unto me, A choice seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and he shall be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins; and unto him will I give commandment that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren.
And he shall bring them to the knowledge of the covenants which I have made with thy fathers; and he shall do whatsoever work I shall command him.
And I will make him great in mine eyes, for he shall do my work; and he shall be great like unto him who I have said I would raise up unto you, to deliver my people, O house of Israel, out of the land of Egypt; for a seer will I raise up to deliver my people out of the land of Egypt; and he shall be called Moses. And by this name he shall know that he is of thy house; for he shall be nursed by the king’s daughter, and shall be called her son.
And again, a seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and unto him will I give power to bring forth my word unto the seed of thy loins; and not to the bringing forth of my word only, saith the Lord, but to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth among them in the last days;
Wherefore the fruit of thy loins shall write, and the fruit of the loins of Judah shall write; and that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together unto the confounding of false doctrines, and laying down of contentions, and establishing peace among the fruit of thy loins, and bringing them to a knowledge of their fathers in the latter days; and also to the knowledge of my covenants, saith the Lord.
And out of weakness shall he be made strong, in that day when my work shall go forth among all my people, which shall restore them, who are of the house of Israel, in the last days.

"We should gratefully acknowledge God as our Creator. Otherwise, we would be as guilty as goldfish swimming in a bowl, oblivious to the goodness of their provider."

Equus: I watched a video representation of "Joseph and his Brothers", about Joseph son of Israel, done with a voice-over of the Biblical text. I haven't watched it in a while, but it is one of my favorite stories perhaps partly because of this video. We've had it for years. Did you know that Joseph was a type of (or had parts of his life parallel to) Christ? So was Moses and Isaac.

Xihuitl: Yep. And now we're going to work at the valley for a little bit.

Equus: And edit! I got permission to edit a script for the murder mystery dinner theater our ward presents annually.

Xihuitl: And to work on your own stuff, too.

Equus: ^/^ True. Love and hugs. God our Father and Jesus Christ love you! So much that They provide the full truth and the Atonement and resurrection.

Xihuitl: And for you, Night Shade2, General Conference is a chance for our Church (or most members) to listen to our General Authorities, like our prophet, who we don't usually get to hear directly except at Conference or broadcasts. And we hope your Halloween goes well, too. ^_^

Fact of the day: Names in Hebrew (as in probably every other language XD ) were symbolic. "Beth" meant "house", "salem" was "peace". I'm pretty sure about salem, partly because salaam is peace in Arabic...I think....Arabic and Hebrew have similar words for it.

2 Chronicles 33: 2-3, 9-10, 15-19
But [Manasseh the king] did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
[...]
So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.
And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken.
Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,
And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.

[...]
And [Manasseh] took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.
Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet unto the LORD their God only.
Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel.
His prayer also, and how God was intreated of him, and all his sin, and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they are written among the sayings of the seers.

Helaman 6: 3-9, 14
Nevertheless, the people of the church did have great joy because of the conversion of the Lamanites, yea, because of the church of God, which had been established among them. And they did fellowship one with another, and did rejoice one with another, and did have great joy.
And it came to pass that many of the Lamanites did come down into the land of Zarahemla, and did declare unto the people of the Nephites the manner of their conversion, and did exhort them to faith and repentance.
Yea, and many did preach with exceedingly great power and authority, unto the bringing down many of them into the depths of humility, to be the humble followers of God and the Lamb.

And it came to pass that many of the Lamanites did go into the land northward; and also Nephi and Lehi went into the land northward, to preach unto the people. And thus ended the sixty and third year.
And behold, there was peace in all the land, insomuch that the Nephites did go into whatsoever part of the land they would, whether among the Nephites or the Lamanites.
And it came to pass that the Lamanites did also go whithersoever they would, whether it were among the Lamanites or among the Nephites[...]
And it came to pass that they became exceedingly rich, both the Lamanites and the Nephites; and they did have an exceeding plenty of gold, and of silver, and of all manner of precious metals, both in the land south and in the land north.
[...]
And in the sixty and fifth year they did also have great joy and peace, yea, much preaching and many prophecies concerning that which was to come. And thus passed away the sixty and fifth year.

   Hi!
"The fruit of keeping covenants is the companionship of the Holy Ghost and an increase in the power to love. "
~ Elder Henry B. Eyring, Ensign, Nov. 1996, 32

Alma 58: 33, 37, 39-41
But behold, we trust in our God who has given us victory over those lands, insomuch that we have obtained those cities and those lands, which were our own.
[..]
But, behold, it mattereth not——we trust God will deliver us, notwithstanding the weakness of our armies, yea, and deliver us out of the hands of our enemies.
[..]
And those sons of the people of Ammon, of whom I have so highly spoken, are with me in the city of Manti; and the Lord has supported them, yea, and kept them from falling by the sword, insomuch that even one soul has not been slain.
But behold, they have received many wounds; nevertheless they stand fast in that liberty wherewith God has made them free; and they are strict to remember the Lord their God from day to day; yea, they do observe to keep his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments continually; and their faith is strong in the prophecies concerning that which is to come.
And now, my beloved brother, Moroni, may the Lord our God, who has redeemed us and made us free, keep you continually in his presence; yea, and may he favor this people, even that ye may have success in obtaining the possession of all that which the Lamanites have taken from us, which was for our support. And now, behold, I close mine epistle. I am Helaman, the son of Alma.

Alma 60: 13
For the Lord suffereth the righteous to be slain that his justice and judgment may come upon the wicked; therefore ye need not suppose that the righteous are lost because they are slain; but behold, they do enter into the rest of the Lord their God.

2 Chronicles 30: 18-20
[...]But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon every one
That prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.
And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

Equus: We had General Conferance this weekend in our church. There were some wonderful talks on Sunday. (I didn't hear any of the Saturday ones.) For example, others can't offend us unless we choose to be offended. We should be careful to not give offense, but we can also choose not to take offense, no matter how rude someone is. And Jesus Christ loves us--and we need to learn to forgive everyone, including ourselves.

Xihuitl: And the family's here for dinner. Well, Equus's parents and her one brother's family. Her other brother and her sister are in other states. This family is only half an hour away, and dinner evolved from her father helping her brother.

Equus: Mm-hm. And guess what I'm going to be for Halloween? A werewolf! A black-and-white werewolf, with some green.

Xihuitl: And thanks for visiting, Miaka and Taka, DarkLynx, and Xx beth xX. ^_^

Equus: Now off to the valley to work! Come on, guys! (Equus grabs Sano's and Kyo-clone's hands and takes off.)

Xihuitl: Love and pocket hugs. Take care, and God your Father and Jesus Christ love you!

Fact of the day: In Jane Austen's time, Miss Smith or Mr. Smith (if not talking about the father) meant the oldest child of that gender. Younger daughters, at least, would then be Miss Jane, Miss Mary, etc.

(From reading Jane Austen. ^_^; )
