   Merry Christmas!
Equus: Good evening, and welcome to…our Christmas Party!

Xihuitl: Please come this way.

You enter a hall decorated with evergreen boughs, ribbons, and white balloons and lights. A table at one end boasts food and refreshment; at the other end of the hall, a dj takes requests for music.

Equus: We have cookies and sweets and crackers and cheese—

Xihuitl: —and veggie trays and punch, for Starflower—

Starflower: Wheeeeee! (glomps Dark)

Equus: And hot chocolate and milk and those little finger sandwiches. And we have a wide selection of music, from pop to soundtracks, from Manheim Steamrollers to Evanescence.

Xihuitl: Please keep the dance floor neat by not littering, and the walls neat by not being a wallflower. If you feel lonely, I’m sure one of our characters would love to dance with you.

Duo: Anytime, my ladies. But first, where’s the punch? (runs off)

Equus: And of course we have people visiting like Uo and Hana.

Xihuitl: Oh, yes, I’m sure the Yankee would love to dance.

Equus: And there’s a little mask-decorating table over there. Your own tiny masks, to commemorate of this festive occasion.

Xihuitl: Yeah, this is the first time Equus has gotten to use her ballroom.

Sano: Equus, there you are.

Equus: You mean, there you are. You’re late.

Sano: ^//^

Equus: But you’re wearing a suit. How handsome! (kisses Sano’s cheek) Well, have fun. Hang out. Talk. Insert selves and characters. Whatever. ^.~ Just keep it G-rated, please. And please be sure to visit the nativity scene. Remember, Jesus Christ is the real reason for this season.
