   Hi!
I ended up working today, even though I wasn't scheduled to. But I was (unbenkownest to me) supposed to work on Thursday. They called, but I ended up not working. And while it was my choice, I did choose to work today. I got to spend time with Starflower all the same, last night and a bit this morning. ^_^

And I hope to go to a Highland Festival in a little over a month. It's one we go to every year we can. ^_^

Luke 18:33

33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.

So shall we, too. A great blessing. ^_^ Isn't it wonderful? Death is not the end. This life is our test, and then we go on to immortality, and if we do our best in Christ Jesus, to eternal salvation. Let's help each other--it's such a beautiful goal! Love from Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to all!

"With you, I have sung, as others have sung for almost three centuries[...]

Joy to the world, the Lord is come;
Let earth receive her King!
Let ev’ry heart prepare him room,
And Saints and angels sing.

Rejoice! Rejoice in the Most High,
While Israel spreads abroad
Like stars that glitter in the sky,
And ever worship God.

(Hymns, no. 201)

My heart is subdued when I think of the great love of my Heavenly Father. How grateful I am to know that God loves us. The incomprehensible depth of that love found expression in the gift of His Only Begotten Son to come into the world to bring hope into our hearts, to bring kindness and courtesy into our relationships, and above all to save us from our sins and guide us on the way that leads to eternal life.

Marvelous is the chronicle that began with the singing of angels at Bethlehem and ended on Golgotha’s cruel cross. There is no other life to compare with His life. He was the one perfect man to walk the earth, the paragon of excellence, the singular example of perfection.

I sense in a measure the meaning of His Atonement. I cannot comprehend it all. It is so vast in its reach and yet so intimate in its effect that it defies comprehension.

Deuteronomy 11

18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.

19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:

21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

22 ¶ [...Y]e shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him[...]

26 ¶ Behold, I set before you this day a blessing [...]

27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:

Fact of the day:
Illuminated texts were those scriptures in the Middle Ages that had pictures drawn on the pages. Beautiful artwork around the text. Perhaps for the benefit (or so I've heard) of the ordinary people who couldn't read, much less in Latin, so that they could learn the Bible stories. I like the story of Daniel in the lions' den.

Hugs and love! God and and Jesus Christ be with you, and Their Holy Spirit and love! Take care!
