Chronicles of Narnia--a witness of Christ's love
"We need both the Church and the family. They work hand in hand to strengthen each other."
~ Elder Russell M. Nelson, "Set in Order Thy House", Ensign, Nov. 2001, 70
Matthew 7: 7-12, 17, 20-21
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
If ye then[...] know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
[...]
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
[...]
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Psalm 144: 9-10, 15
I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
[...]
Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.
Alma 7: 11-13
And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.

Thank you, NightShade2! You're a sweet friend.
Fact of the day: Some songs share tunes. For example, "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star", "Baa Baa, Black Sheep", and the "Alphabet Song" all are the same tune. And the shared tune I realized today was that of "I Love You" and "Knick-Knack". You know, "This old man, he had one..." Anyway, yeah, fun times. ^_^ My mom and I sang nursery rhymes while we were paddling a two-person kayak. It was fun.
In a world of unrest and fear, political turmoil and moral drift, I testify that Jesus is the Christ—that He is the living Bread and living Water—still, yet, and always the great Shield of safety in our lives."
~ Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, Ensign, Nov. 2004, 9
"Happiness and spiritual progress lie in following the leaders of the Church." After all, they are God's servants chosen to lead us by His word.
~ Elder Dallin H. Oaks, "The Witness: Martin Harris", Ensign, May 1999, 37
