  Sweet Goodbye

The water sparkles,
Like the stars in the night;
The light shines bright,
On the sand so small and white;
The sounds of the waves,
Sing a song about the day;
A day so bright,
But so dark inside;
It would seem to be perfect,
Yet my eyes are gloomy;
The tears dried on my cheeks,
My eyes red as blood;
I seat quietly on the sand,
Staring at the ocean so deep;
The blue sky reminds me,
Of the way you said goodbye;
Your eyes are in the clouds,
Your smile is the clear sky;
I’ll never forget your last wave goodbye,
As I saw you fly away into the sky;
