Transition
by Paul McIntyre

I walk down a rainy road,
reflecting the late night lights,
I can only watch the drops,
falling softly on the world,

I wander in my mind,
in a jacket patched with dreams,
My fiery passion on pavement road,
is crumbled and soaked with doubt

I pounder and I pace alone,
and I know my transition will come,
It is hiding behind a corner,
somewhere in the dark,Buried train of thought

I swim through the flooded night,
tears blind the eyes with rain,
I see a ship and climb aboard,
I set the sail with my jacket patches,
and i light the ship with a candle,
The sky is as clear as my mind,
and the stars have such vacancy for dreams.
