I was really in a downer mood yesterday. It's just so hard for me to be sociable/outgoing/talkative/whatever and I'm very indecisive...which means I don't have any close friends at school *sigh* but I feel better today. Amazing what a good night's sleep can do for you, ne?

Wow...I just realized my birthday is only a month away o-O



Happy Chinese New Year!!! (celebrated on the 7th) It's officially the year of the mouse. It was so cute, our Chinese exchange students sang a song for our good fortune this year at our school's ralley (which is the only reason why I went). They were scheduled to perform a traditional dragon dance, but the school shrugged it off to play stupid ralley games instead. Whatever.
I love it though--they all remember my name because apparently there's a super famous Chinese pop singer with the same name (beautiful picture below) and all of the students are crazy about her! I'm trying to download some of her music right now lol



I bought Hello Kitty Valentine's Day cards and candies today--they are soooo cute! I think I might buy a Valentine Gram Smoothie for my crush too, but I'm still thinking about it.

Track has been extremely tough and this week has been incredibly stressful, but I'm going to try to be more positive towards things--plus it's a three day weekend woot!

Thanks everyone for your comments, I really needed them yesturday ^.^ I feel much better now, just as time always has a funny way of healing.

I've still got quite a bit of homework and I'm tired x-X I gotta stop procrastinating so much.

I can't believe Valentine's Day is just around the corner. I've only ever had a Valentine in 4th grade xDDD but I'd like to make homemade chocolates one of these years, like they do in anime for Valentine's...I wonder if they really do that in Japan? *shrug*

Tomorrow's Monday gaaaah. Watashiwa getsuyoubiga kirai desu! (I hate Mondays) but a Chinese exchange student is shadowing me (a.k.a. attending my classes with me) so that should be exciting. ^.^

So how is everyone doing? Good I hope.
Well it's really windy in Cali right now. I don't mind it as long as I'm inside. In fact, it helps me fall asleep...I love the sound of the wind's power...don't ask xD

I went on a long run today. We were assigned 6-8 miles for track, so I ran to my church and back. I thought it'd be enough, but my dad said it was probably only about 5 miles =.= then again we thought we were taking half a mile walks when they turned out to be a mile and a quarter walks...

I don't feel too well. Not because of the running-->my stomach just trips out sometimes and gets really bubbily-gargily, which makes for a very uncomfortable night. On top of that I've been having shocks of pain which is annoying, but I don't like taking medicine, so there you have it.

My parents faught again. Arguements about the past again-->always the same things. I wish they'd stop. Sometimes I even ponder what it'd be like if they split. I mean, no kid would want their parents to do that, but I wonder if it would be healthier for us. It's probably me being selfish...but I'm scared what will happen if I go to a far-off college. I'm the last of us three siblings, and I graduate high school next year. I'm the last to hear their arguements, to see the hurt in my papa's eyes, to use all my strength not to charge upstairs and tell them to stop, to hear my mama quietly crying upstairs or sleeping downstairs just to be nearer to me. I guess I'd just rather be here if they do split, rather than hearing about it if I do go off to college instead of attending a local one. I'm just scared to try to help...I think I could, but would it really be my place to step in? I don't know...I'm so lost. This always happens, and I wish it would stop.

Sorry this post turned out on the downer AND so long again!!!!-->on a happy note I finally get to go to Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento tomorrow. I've been just itching to go there for foreverz.
Plus I put a new song on my site (and avatar/icon) ^.^ as you've noticed I'm sure. I'll probably change it every few posts so you guys can get a proper introduction to An Cafe lolz

umm about the track comment, both pretty much. They're practically whipping and I'm trying to work hard for my coaches as well as myself.
Oh yeah, I totally know what you mean about returning from work. Being a cashier is not fun when you're doing it all day @_@ but I'm on break for track THANK GOODNESS otherwise I would probably be bedridden by now.
Haha, I just laugh at stuff after the fact. The next day I thought it was funny that I kept waking up cuz my legs hurt. Yesh, I'm weird. I don't know how many times I suddenly think of some random thing and laugh out loud to myself in front of everyone...which makes me laugh harder with all the weird looks I get. Talk about chain reaction xDDD
Gah, I wish I could actually house an exchange student! It would pretty much be amazing, but my parents don't think it's a good idea since we technically live outside of my high school's district and I could technically get kicked out of that high school if they found out where we technically live. I hate technicallities =.=
Ooo! Someone to ask! *bwahahaa! cough* When did you start learning kanji? I mean, I'm just curious how one goes about learning it, since it's not like learning Hiragana/Katakana...or is it? Just curious ^.^

Tuesday we had to run in the rain and partial snow around neighborhoods...and on railroad tracks :[ lol, but I learned some excellent core excersices for my abdomens. The funny thing was when I started doing them I automatically though 'yummy miku tummy' xDDD I'll be doing some more before bed today, definately. lolz! I'm such a dork.
Other than that, my legs are screaming at me. If I sit for long periods of time I can't even walk very well and last night I kept on waking up when I'd move in my sleep because my leg muscles hurt so much--oh the pain!
I'm not complaining though-->I find it hilarious...which is kinda weird, but whatevs xD And it's nice getting back into shape. Good feeling. b(^.^)d


The Japanese exchange student I've been exchanging notes with at school got sooooo excited when I left her a note that was practically all in Japanese, oh it's so cute xD So motivating to learn more! Oh!!! Oh oh oh! And I drew the little An Cafe nyappy smillie guy and she asked in her note back if Americans used it too since her friends in Japan draw it as well. Makes me wonder if she listens to An Cafe--must ask her! (^.^)

Don't have your permit and you're 18? Well, good news for you is you don't need one! ^.^ When you turn 18 you get to skip all of the courses and classes and get to go straight to the written test and driving test!

::OMG Miku is the shiznit::

So today (Monday) was the first day of track conditioning ^.^ I was pretty slow since I'm majorly out of shape but everyone was really nice-->Plus the head coach is my Pre-Calculus teacher and he's awesome. I'm hella tired though and felt like I was going to faint after the last part of weight training...after the running...after the opening excercises. I can't even focus on the English introduction I'm supposed to be writing!!! But hey, haha, I might have a yummy tummy like Miku after a few weeks of this, yeah? xDD
Uhh, ooo! I've been driving on the weekends! Even in the rain! Finally using that permit I've had for about 7 months now xDD Driving was so stressful at first and I still freak out occationally, but for the most part it's okie-dokie-smokie!! Not to scare any of you about it though. You're reading the post of a gal who gets terrified riding a freakin' bike lolz But it'll just open up so many freedoms once I get my liscense, you know?

And actually our school has a cross country program and a track program so it's pretty intense. We run all along canals and stuff that are behind the school. There are some really fantastic views!

Okay, first things first before I forget xD
A few of you asked what program I'm using to study Japanese. It's called *looks at the box*
"Instant Immersion: Japanese v2.o" from Samsclub for $15.67.
Okay, onward to my post! So it was my mom's birthday yesturday ("Happy Birthday Mama!") and so we bought a cake from a really good bakery near my high school and later went to dinner at Tahoe Joe's. Back home again, we watched Swing Time starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. I love those old dancing/singing movies ^.^ Today we're heading down to family in Sacramento to celebrate her birthday with everyone else.
Monday is the start of official track practice for me! I'm excited, but scared as well since I'm still well out of shape >.< But the competing season doesn't start til March. I have a month to get in sharp shape xD
ZOMG I ALMOST FORGOT! IT WORKED! I GET TO SEE AN CAFE IN MAY! (concert info below) The ol' belated birthday present being a ride down to San Jose worked! ^.^ As long as I find a friend to go with, which I've told my freshman friend Connor about it since he's an avid An Cafe fan as well ^.^ I'm happy. I don't mind paying for the ticket at all either--$50 is nothing to me if I get to see a Japanese band lolz I so hope some of you can go if you're An Cafe fans! I think I'm going to be carrying a "myOtaku" sign around or something so I can meet some peeps on here. lolz, I'm such a dork xD

lolz, yeah I just bs answers at times too. It's funny when you get the teachers that just mark down that you've done the assignment when really I just wrote a paragraph about how I didn't think that they read what we write and that they should circle the sentence about a pony I had written in the middle if they truely read it. They never circled the sentence, and I got 100% on the assignment. Hilarious....but what does that say about some of our teachers? o-O

Hehe, I'm excited about restarting my Japanese lessons with my computer program ^.^ The lesson I'm on involves vocabulary about school-->classroom items and subject names, etc. And next lesson is an introduction to verbs!!! I'm so excited ^.^

School has been alright. I've been majorly procrastinating, but I've been getting lucky about it. Teachers haven't been collecting the assignments I conviniently didn't do, or we had a sub or something lolz! Don't you love it when things go your way? x3

AN CAFE IS COMING TO CALIFORNIA!!!!!!
May 25th 2008 at Fanime in San Jose, California! It's the closing of the Nyappy Go Around the World Tour 2008.
San Jose's a few hours away but I might be able to convince my parents (mostly mom) into letting me go if I pull the old 'can I go as a belated birthday present *pretty please*' trick.
If you want more info on it, just pm me and I'll give you a few links with more information (ie. confirmation from An Cafe, Cafekko meet-up at the convention, official convention site).

Awwwwh, haha I almost started crying too when Miku was on stage during Bou's last live...taking forever to find his voice to talk while hanging onto the microphone and crying. *sniffle* How can anyone resist crying when such hot guys (as in An Cafe xD)are?

It's up to you if you want to watch Bou's last live--I basically just clicked on the links where they were all crying, I haven't actually watched any of the performance xDD
And about An Cafe going international, their "Nyappy Go Around the World Tour 2008" is primarily a European tour-->one day in California was just stuck onto their tour list at the end =D But yeah it's pretty exciting-->and they're still just on an independent label!

So the other day I finally saw a few clips on Bou's last live with An Cafe. I wanted to get to know the band before watching any of it (yeah, I'm mental xD). It was soooo sad how much they were all crying! They're still so cute though. =3 I don't get why people hate Takuya and Yuuki--I think they're excellent additions to the band! Anywho...

Well you should go check An Cafe out! lol, they're cute and their music is very entertaining. My Japanese friend Rio I mentioned is an exchange student at my high school right now. She goes back home in June, but yes I do hope to keep in touch with her, not to mention visit her in Japan! ^.^v

Yeah, like I said earlier, I don't know what people have against the new band members-->An Cafe still makes awesome music! And they're still so fun-loving. Then again, Bou was already gone by the time I got interested in An Cafe, so I don't have the months/years of being a fan either.
Haha, I think all of us feel greatful of not being born in Japan after hearing about the school program/schedule xDD

*clears throat* Ta-da! I'm back and with a new site theme *throws confetti* New themes are exciting lolz. An Cafe again-->took me FOREVER to pick a song (just way too many good ones!) let alone the background + colors! Speaking of colors, are they too sharp on the eyes? They're my favorite though ^.^v (Blame Miyavi + Miku!...+ Hello Kitty xD) Plus I noticed the finished product turned out in spirits for St. Valentine's Day <3
Lemme tell you though-->it is most embarrassing when your guestbook is signed twice when your site looks like crap cuz you're fiddling with theme ideas + colors (+ this is after a month of no new guestbook signatures-->lolz)
Okay, enough about new theme already! So on Friday I stared conditioning with the long distance team for track-->wow I'm a noob! xD All this running (Friday was a 5 1/2 mile run, I only did 4) + I've lost about 6 pounds in less than a week @_@ + I'm not eating any less either!
Speaking of track, I've probably mentioned Rio is doing it as well-->+ we're both doing long distance, meaning we'll be able to talk mroe. I've made it a point to see her more and more now. We talk at lunch and still leave notes in the lockers we share, it's so cute! (=^.^=)-->they go to school for half a day on Saturdays in Japan! Not to mention longer school hours in regular days + she lives by the coast in southwest Japan-->I tried to ask her what island she lived on, but I don't know if she said or not, didn't catch it-->I'm assuming the main island...She hopes I'll be able to visit her in Japan through a summer homestay program, but as I mentioned months ago, I think my high school has given up on that-->but I'll have to really look into it, especially if I'm able to stay in touch with her. I so long to go to Japan!!!, and I'm taking Japanese 1 at a junior college this summer, definately. *nod nod*
Well, by the time you guys read this, it'll probably be Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday--enjoy the day off all you kids in America! But seriously, what an honorable man in U.S. History-->strong in his religion and beliefs, intelligent, + a powerful voice for his people. A true timeless hero.

lol, the "no-where land" reference was when I lived in the mountains + my school was a k-8th with a total of students + staff at 180 people-->TOTAL. Hence, it was no-where land. It was, in fact, a good 30 minutes drive to the nearest town with a grocery store + department store.
You did shotput + discus?!? Awesome! My sister did that while in the track program ^.^

yup school sucks, but it's not too bad taking it one day at a time. Ha, I almost played tennis last year, but ended up being too shy to xD

yeah, I feel lonely at times too--it seems people get bored with me. then again, none of my friends have similar entertainment interests with me (a.k.a. have interest in Japanese music, anime, etc.) Ouch, yeah track and asthma would not mix too well-->luckily I grew out of my asthma so I can run pretty well now.
