Unfolding Talent
Hello to anyone and everyone who has stumbled across this site. I'm so excited to be a part of myOtaku.com (thanks to my sister)! While looking at some of the spectacular fan art located on this website I found myself overwhelmingly inspired. That very first night when I became a member, I busted out my Kingdom Hearts II strategy guide and started looking at the many illustrations. Taking into account that I had never attempted to recreate such amazing art before, I decided to practice on drawing heads and faces. Well, it just so happens that I thought the first head shape I drew was a very decent one. An unknown drive of some sort within me then challenged myself to try to replicate, but not trace, one of the characters in my strategy guide. Remembering that I loved the cute little Gullwing fairies (Yuna, Rikku, and Paine; from Final Fantasy X-2) that made an appearance in Kingdom Hearts II, I quickly flipped to the page featuring their pictures and got to work. While starting to draw one of the three (Rikku) I realized that everything was running pretty smoothly and so, before I knew it, it was 1:00...or even 2:00 in the morning. And I had school that day! Yikes! I loved drawing Rikku, though, and I hope I can get my pencil drawn picture up here soon. See you then.
