   Saturday! ^^




Yes!!!! The weekend once again! ^^ -sigh- I remember the good old days when my brother, sister, and I watched cartoons ALL MORNING LONG! ^^

Anywho, omgosh! Rehearsals are going sooo great! ^^ I ended up getting the part of an Oni (a Japanese demon with sharp teeth and two horns sticking out of it's skull) named Ono (one of a threesome, so basically one of the leads ^^) and another demon (hehe...wonder what that says about me--lol) called Kasakozo, who looks like an umbrella with one red eye. lol The Japanese thought that demons were all around them, hence the appeared as ordinary items, so yeah, that's why I'm an umbrella ^^

Oh!!!! And the costume ideas are great too! We three Oni's are gonna be making Oni masks with a professional "master mask maker" that our director just happens to know! ^^ AND he's gonna be teaching us taditional Japanese theatre movement like Bunraku and Kabuki because he says he doesn't want us to, at any point, move like we usually do every day. This play contains four Japanese ghost stories, hence we should have the flavor of a Japanese preformance while still making it our own (not sure if that makes sense to any of you. ^^)

So yeah, that's today's post! ^^

OMGosh!!!! I forgot to tell you! For all you Fruits Basket fans...there's a character in the play named Yukionna! I was just like, "Oh my gosh! Yuki!" lol She's the Snow Woman. ^^
