Steve Reich - Eight Lines
God, sometimes YouTube does wonderful things. Reich is one of the best chamber music composers alive, if not THE best, and Eight Lines here (a rewrite of the earlier Octet) is probably my favorite of his works - it's written in a similar style to Music for 18 Musicians, but's lean and concise where that piece is more airy and a little rambly. Unfortunately this clip only gets through about half of the piece, but it's a damn fine performance regardless...
