The Giver
We were forced to read "the Giver" in my language arts class, and I despise assigned reading, but I actualy really got into Giver.
It's a story about a perfect society.. everything is the same. All children are borught up the same way, there are no colors except for black and white, there are no more races because everyone is cocasian, and everyone's eyes, except for a rare few, are the same color.
Obviously, this doesn't work out to great. And there is one person in each generation that keeps all the painful, non-same memories inside his/her head. The Reciever of Memory. When one Reviever is near dying, a new one is chosen and the memories are transmitted. The story is about the next Reciever, Jonas, and his eventual plot to bring pain, color, and most of all, emotions back to society.
Very fascinating book.
PS: Swordmaster13, you're so silly...
