Wicca--for the benefit of a friend
To start off, I would like to say that I do not actualy participate in Wicca, but a close friend of mine does, so I thought I'd just make a post on it... for the heck of it...

Alright, Wicca... a religion. It is described as "Modern day witches" "Neopagan" and many other things. Let's start with the word Neopagan.

AS you may know, "pagan" has many different meanings, some of them not very nice ones. However, being pagan, or in Wicca's case, neopagan, does not in any way mean that they are "evil" or "satanists". Wich brings me to another point.

Wiccans are in no way satanists. They don't even believe in a pure-evil being like satan. There is really only one similarity between Wicca and Satanism, wich is, they both practice "magick" (yes, spelled with a "k"). However, Satanists use magick in all sorts of ways wich could be desrcibed as evil, but Wiccans only use non-manipulative, "good" magick.

Now, there are several different types of Wicca, wich can be classified into four groups. 1) Monotheistic 2) Bitheistic 3) Polytheistic and 4) Aetheisic. Monotheistic Wiccans believe in one God, that represents his/her self in two different forms, much like the Christian Trinity (father, son, and holy spirit). Bitheistic Wiccans believe in two Gods... well, one of them is actualy a Goddess. Polytheistic Wiccans may believe in numerous Celtic Gods. Aetheistic Wiccans don't technicaly believe in a God, but more use Gods as symbols... er, it's hard to explain, and I don't actualy know any details.

Well, I hope you've all been enlightened a little bit, and just so you know, I got all of this information off of a Wiccan-oriented website, the name of wich I cannot remember.

PS: You're silly, Swordmaster, because... umm... crap, I forgot...
