Two of my favorites. Which wise guy reigns supreme?
If there are any questions as to who the participants are, click the lick in my intro to see the entire tournament and all the participants, plus a brief bio on all the characters.
Lastly, if you are intrested in a unique story, swing over to Pex's page and read "Fast Food Chronicles".

Victory- Jubei
My pick wins agian, in a very close battle that was devided by only three votes!
Thank you SO MUCH to everybody that voted, but I wan't happy with this battles turnout. I hope more people participate for the upcoming battle. Seriously, when you see a battle with two sweet anime characters, how do you resist casting a vote?!?
In any case, check out the next battle, and represent your favorite of the two characters. Peace,
Flava

ROUND 1 - BATTLE 2 (ninja battle)
___________________________
8. Jubei (Ninja Scroll) ___________ vs. _________ 9. Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto)
The 8th vs. 9th seed are always my favorite of the first round, so I thought that that should be paired with one of my favorite job classes- the ninja. Two ninjas, two animes, one battle. VOTE!!!
P. S. There is obviously issues regarding any sort of confusion with the tournament. Click the "Ultimate ANime Character Tournament" link to go to a website created by onewingedangel. From there, you can see:
-the entire tournament, with every character participating
-a brief bio of every character (ex. Parn)
-the layout of the contest, so you can predict who will take home the gold
And finally, please vote with the characters name you like best as the SUBJECT of the comment! Okay, peace out for now.

Gokou WINS!
After a nearly outrageous upset, Gokou pulled away from Parn in the home stretch and will advance in the tournament.

The Ultimate Anime Character Battle
Since there has been a bit of trouble regarding Parn, I'll say this again. If you have any questions on who one of the combatants are or you want to see which characters will fight in the tournament, you can see the entire bracket with all the first round battles by clicking the above link. From there, click on the names of the character to get a bio. Peace-

Let the games BEGIN!
The tournament has begun, the games have started, and the contest is underway. The brackets in there entirety can be viewed from here:
The Ultimate Anime Character Battle
Big ups to onewingedangel- he did everything on that site as far as the layout, what it looks like and actually getting it up there. I wanted to have an image for every bio page, but that won't happen for around a week, adn I wanted to get this thing going! Please read my introduction for in depth details on what to do- but as far as voting for which character you like better, simply write the name of the character as the SUBJECT of a comment.
Very soon later today, the first match will begin!

Let the waiting begin
This is how the tournament will brake down. It was made to be simple to access and interact with, so everything should be super-easy.
Basically, the main bracket, showing the tournament in it's entirety, is too big to fit on myOtaku. Thus, a link will be placed in my introduction leading directly to a constantly updated tournament bracket.
From there, you will be able to click on the names of characters you don't know, and the name you click on will lead to a smaller bio page, containing a very brief description of the character and a picture of them.
Meanwhile, the current bout taking place will be hosted back at myOtaku, as a post. Although I'll explain this again when the time comes, how you shall vote on who you like better will be to simply drop a comment with the character's name YOU like better as the subject. And as the body of the comment, you can say why or anything else you feel like saying.
This is where everyone else comes into the picture. Really, this can't be done without a LOT of help from LOADS of members from theOtaku. I'll do my best to get everyone I can think of involved, but the bottom line is its up to you, and I hope you share your opinion! This thing will be mad fun if lots of people participate, but the winner will not rightfully take the belt if a lot of people never gave their say. After the proper amount of votes have been registered, they will be tallied and the winner of the match will go on and the loser will be eliminated.
This works much like the NCAA Tournament. There are a total of sixteen entrants, and four divisions. The contest in broken up into six rounds, or phases. Obviously, it all starts with the First Round. Followed by the Second Round, then, in chronological order, the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, Final Four, and or course, the cataclysmic Championship Battle. I'm as excited as anyone about this, and it's gonna rock.
Peace,
Flava

It's all in the mix
The final EVERYTHING has been sent in, and now all is in the hands of the reliable "onewingedangel". Since I can't really work the internet too well, everything involving actually getting the the tournament online is up to him. Plus, I just haven't got the time for that!
I am going to every specialist in the known world for this persistent back problem. Soon the Flav-meister will prevail, and I'll resume my former state of invincibility. However, this terrible pain blocks the path to stardom for now, and it SUCKS!
Speaking of what sucks, I can't help but notice this little issue. It seems any page I go to on theOtaku has thefted my ideas, and is loaded with the quizzes and polls that I believe I pioneered! (ahh, if someone did actually do that before I did then uh...that was my bad! I thought I invented that!) I'm quite certain I came up with these ideas on my own, but now I see just about everybody ripping them and pretty much doing the same thing. I can understand a few, because a variety may be fun, but the first three sites I went to had nearly identical remakes of my ideas! Come on!
I think we are losing sight of what myOtaku should be. I think people saw the gigantic amoount of comments I was getting (thanks, ya'll) and wanted to recreate that. This isn't a contest- I don't think anyone should be worried about getting more comments or more hits or a higher Popularity Ranking than other members. It's all about having fun, at least to me. I know that for some of you right now Otaku is your life, and all of your friends are from the internet, but for me that just isn't the case, so I'm just trying to have as much fun as I can! It matters not what number rank I am(I don't think I'll ever catch James!), I just want the people who come here to enjoy themselves for a brief minute, and in turn I will enjoy myself. I'm one of the most competitive people you'll meet, but I just think these copy-cating acts in attempt to get more comments or whatever you're trying to do is just foolish! Lets all just chill, have fun and hang out - Cause that's what it's all about! (I've got a freestyling battle tommorow, and if that's the best I can do I'm gonna get embarrassed!) With all that said, I hope eveybody has a great time with this tournament and that we get enough votes to truly find out who the #1 Anime Character is. And to kenjutsu girl, you have a good eye! Earlier I briefly mentioned this, but this whole battle is a replica of the one done on Gamefaqs.com, except with anime characters instead of videogame characters, so anyone familiar with that contest will feel very comfortable with this one. Speaking of that, although this is getting a bit ahead, what do you think about having a videogame character tournament after this one? That would be crazy sweet!
That's all I have for now. Lets hope onewingedangel pumps this whole thang out with the swiftness so we can get this party started.
Peace,
Flava

What to expect
The final brackets for the tournament battle have been created, it is just a matter of getting them up on the internet. In addition to the brackets themselves, I'm trying to get something going where while you are looking at the bracket, you can click on any unfamiliar names and go to a small bio page. The tournament will look almost identical to the NCAA Basketball Tournament, having four divisions (North, East, South, West) with 16 seeds per division. You will be able to click a link to view the main bracket, and the current battle going on will be shown on my site as a post. Check out this example of Final Fantasy characters to get a clear idea.
Cloud______________vs.______________Squall

Ideally, I'd like to have an image and a GIF for each battle, but we'll see how that goes. Stay tuned for more frequent posts.
Thanks to onewingedangel for internet help, and if anyone has any last minute revalations on how to make this tournament any cooler, now is your last chance. I'm pretty sure I've got everything under control, but feel free to drop a comment if you've got an idea!
Peace,
~Flava

Thank you, all
THE NOMINATION PROCESS IS OFFICIALLY OVER! Thanks again to everyone who entered a nominee. Obviously, not EVERY nominee could enter the tournament, but any entrant with multiple nominations mae the cut, and otherwise I tried to choose a fair variety of characters from different anime. I hope everyone will happy with the participants~ I'm sure I picked the cool ones! I am trying to negotiate some sort of assistance from ragnarokwielder7 or Lazechibi to really make this whole thing really awesome, but the only way to truly make it happen is for you lovely people that frequently visit my site to simply tell EVERYONE about it! That's the only way anyone'll truly find out anime's No.1 Most Popular Character! I appreciate you guys and girls who come to my site so often- I think I'm gonna create something similar to MillenniumChaos's Repeated Offenders! Everything should be in store in just a couple of days, so get hyped, pumped and ready! ~PEACE~
