Let the waiting begin
This is how the tournament will brake down. It was made to be simple to access and interact with, so everything should be super-easy.
Basically, the main bracket, showing the tournament in it's entirety, is too big to fit on myOtaku. Thus, a link will be placed in my introduction leading directly to a constantly updated tournament bracket.
From there, you will be able to click on the names of characters you don't know, and the name you click on will lead to a smaller bio page, containing a very brief description of the character and a picture of them.
Meanwhile, the current bout taking place will be hosted back at myOtaku, as a post. Although I'll explain this again when the time comes, how you shall vote on who you like better will be to simply drop a comment with the character's name YOU like better as the subject. And as the body of the comment, you can say why or anything else you feel like saying.
This is where everyone else comes into the picture. Really, this can't be done without a LOT of help from LOADS of members from theOtaku. I'll do my best to get everyone I can think of involved, but the bottom line is its up to you, and I hope you share your opinion! This thing will be mad fun if lots of people participate, but the winner will not rightfully take the belt if a lot of people never gave their say. After the proper amount of votes have been registered, they will be tallied and the winner of the match will go on and the loser will be eliminated.
This works much like the NCAA Tournament. There are a total of sixteen entrants, and four divisions. The contest in broken up into six rounds, or phases. Obviously, it all starts with the First Round. Followed by the Second Round, then, in chronological order, the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, Final Four, and or course, the cataclysmic Championship Battle. I'm as excited as anyone about this, and it's gonna rock.
Peace,
Flava
