Useless Ranting time!!
I talked to my brother earlier thru webcam. he's all the way down in Korea, and I so wish I was him right now: in a totally new environement, with very little homework to do and whole lot of free time.
Before I reach 25, I plan to go to Japan for at least a couple of months, and just get that out of the way. In fact, I'm minoring in Asian studies and getting a certificate in Japanese just to increase my eligibility for study abroad programs.
It's amazing how anime has affected my life in the past 6 years. There's been both positive and negative effects of this obsession, especially earlier when I first really got into it.
And I say obsession because many times I've pulled all-nighters on school nights just reading manga, I've skipped meetings with friends because it intervened with an anime schedule, and for about a whole year I put my social life on hold. But now, thanks to lectures from relentless parents, self-discipline, and a little bit of maturity, I'm passed that deeply obsessed phase. Although I still get really upset when I miss an episode of "Ghost in the shell"...
I'm watching Indiana jones #2, and remembering old times
When I wanted a black leather whip just like him.
I still do.
Harrison ford is so talented and looking so delicious in this movie. Him, Denzel Washington, Wesley Snipes and Travolta are at the top of my People-I-wouldn't-mind-gettting-their-autographs list. Don't get me wrong. I'm no groupie for actors, or autographs. I just admire them for lasting so long and being so flawless at their job. I have yet to watch a Harrison Ford movie I didn't like. Same goes for Denzel (I'm dying to see Manchurian Candidate).
For Travolta, I didn't really enjoy "Pulp Fiction." Couldn't sit thru it. But I can't sit thru Grease either cause I find myself dancing and singing whenever I watch that movie... Then there's wesley's "Demolition Man" that I never get tired of seeing, and no one can diss the Blade saga.
Ooooo!! "Prince of Persia: Warriors Within" looks so tempting. If I had the moola I'd be at Gamestop right now! but I'm broke and I don't drive and the nearest mall is about an 1hr away if I were to take the bus. So, i'll just mark that game down on my christmas wish list.
well, that's all the rant I have for now. Later days!
