Essay update and a smile ^_^
Hello buddies, how's it going?
Some of you have been bored so here comes a long post. Yey! *Hears the applauding OR imagines it* ^_^
I've been...weird lately. Life. Anyways, I thought I was going to wake up in a bad mood and feel sleepy all day (I slept past 12:30 am) but after I got into class, it wasn't so bad. These days I'm loving the weather so it's affecting my mood positively. I'm remembering a lot of Canada and getting nostalgic feelings...
Anyhow, I was happy today for two main reasons. Let me tell you all about it.
You remember my essay right? As it was the draft, the teacher was telling some people to rewrite it and fix it up. As for me she said ‘definitely no need to rewrite’ and wrote 'beautifully written' and 'nice' as comments. I was so happy!! ^_^
My English teachers all said good things about me through high school I was always of the top. But I do doubt my skills. Tell me what you think. Yes—the essay is up for you to read! (Actually, it’s below, lol):

Interpretive Essay
Topic: Fullmetal Alchemist episode 25, Farewell Ceremony
This episode is from the popular Japanese-animated series Fullmetal Alchemist. It is a tragic episode as is denoted by the title, Farewell Ceremony.
The episode opens with moving music. It starts with Lieutenant Maes Hughes stopping by to see Lieutenant Colonel Roy Mustang.
Whilst listening to the music, I remembered the feelings of sorrow and sadness that were accompanied by them in previous episodes. That added to the distressing mood of the show. At the end of the show, during Hughes’s funeral ceremony, a solemn song played. I felt that it sanctified the passing of that character, and only brought a sting to my eyes.
What made the episode even harder to bear watching was the focus on the soon-to-die. Being the last time we were to see the lieutenant alive, they focused on Maes Hughes, following his story through out the episode and showing us the characteristics of the man, that which I cherish.
All the characters that were aware of his passing were saddened, especially his family. His wife Gracia had the difficult task of bearing with her bewildered daughter and holding back the sobs. He was absolutely fond of his daughter and was his greatest treasure. He had said his farewell to his family just the night before, never knowing it was his final goodbye. Even Louis Armstrong, the largest of the men, was crying during the funeral, being a sentimental guy with a big heart.
Lieutenant Colonel Roy Mustang had a special relationship with Hughes. Hughes was a dear friend to him and supported him, always pushing him in the right direction. He, seemingly one of the most aloof of the characters, shed a tear or two. That helped force down the dam that was starting to be overwhelming.
The ceremony was large and honored the deceased, having now earned the title Brigadier Lieutenant. He was promoted two ranks, and surpassed the goal he was helping Mustang himself reach.
The cruelest thing about his death was the way he died. Always having been great when needed in action, he only hesitated to shoot the homunculi as it took the form of his beloved wife. I despise the homunculi Envy for that up until now.
It is hard to say whether or not I liked the episode when one of my favorite characters dies. I was devastated by his death. It is best to say I am sorrowed by it and at times, I would rather not watch it. However, it is an episode that reminds me of how devoted the now Brigadier Lieutenant Maes Hughes was to his family, friends, and the military. He was a hero, and there was a lesson to be learned there. He was a chivalrous man, an exemplar.

And that was a rushed little annoying thing I thought. But as long as I did well it's fine, right?
Then I sat with the teacher (I was free last period—no computer teacher) and explained (very badly—lol—and nervously a bit) the main stuff about FMA. She said she was watching it in her office at the end of the day on Wednesday and she saw little kids pop their heads in and whisper ‘Mrs.__ is watching cartoons’ (>_< anime= NOT cartoons…anyhow). Lol. Then she said she didn’t get anything (of course—she started from episode 25! Duh!) and asked if she wasn’t abnormal to not have gotten the plot. I told her she’s perfectly fine. She’s a cute fun lady. ^_^ I told her I was going to make her fall for anime. She’s so clueless of it and she’s going to ask her 15 year old son if he knows about anime. I bet he does. I even told her we memorize the songs and that the subs are better (she likes the dubs) and blah blah and she’s impressed. Oh and you know the funniest part? How would she understand anything if she didn’t watch past the opening!? Lol! She didn’t know the part with Hughes and Maes in the dream was just the beginning. She didn't know Hughes died. And as I explained, she confused the brothers. ‘Who lost a leg through the equivalent trade?’ and when they showed Ed and Al in the train scared of seeing Izumi again, when they imagine the big guy lifting them up she asked, ‘Is that the part where they lose their bodies?’ Lol! I’ll have more fun with her for sure.
Oh! Questions. Can't leave them out.
1- Heard of the show TRU CALLING?
Note: Not an anime.
My answer #1: I know it aired a long time ago in America and blah blah and it aired here like 3 years back but I-LOVE-IT!! In fact, I just watched it *Hugs Harrison i.e. Shawn Reeves*. I haven't seen it all but I plan to. I like the plot and I find it all intriguing! (I’m trying to speak calmly of it)
2- What anime song annoys you?
My answer #2: Not sure actually. Used to be Harumonia but now...hmm. I guess *thinks* I don't know. I'll have to think about it.
3- You want to cosplay as whom right this minute?
My answer # 3: ION! ♥ ♥ ♥
Which reminds me...some people didn't know 'what' Ion was. Well, Ion is my favourite Trinity Blood character. He's the most adorable thing I know. Well, one of them. ^_^ I'm obsessed over him and I can never get enough pictures of him. Read my intro. Look at my avatar and background. Here's a picture of him *dies* and the adorable Seth-chan:
AWW! xox♥*♥*♥xox Arigatou Hikari-chan for this!!! ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^
Well, I was going to put up a poem but I'll do that another day. I think this is enough for today, ne?
Thanks for reading, commenting, and visiting! ^_^ And oh, thank you Auvy for nominating me for the contest. Good luck to everyone (although everyone won't win...lol).
