   Just a poem
Here's a poem I wrote...last year? Tell me what you think. I wrote it quickly, actually. Not that I'm a poetess or anything.

Close enough to know

I want to know
Not to inflict pain
Or to bring despair

I want to know
Not just because of curiosity

I want to know
For this reason only
To find out more about you

All I want
Is a chance to see
Who is hiding
Away from me

Who you keep
Locked away
Secrets really
Have lots to say

I want to know
Not to inflict pain
Or to bring despair

I wish to have
The key to unlock it all

If only your heart
Was made of glass

If only I was close enough
Enough to see why you
Keep it all locked away

But though I’m near
The distance still is great

Physically—yes
But friendship-wise?

We are close
That is very true
I stick to you
As you do to me
Like super glue

We’ve been friends
For nearly half a decade

So why should something like this
Get in the way
And bring a halt
To what you need to say

So I only wish
Not to hurt
Not to bring pain

I’m only here
To help you go through it

I am here
To let you know that I’ll support you

I want to know
Not because of curiosity

But also of the feeling
I get when I discover
You always are
More than I can imagine

So retrieve the key
