Prologue
*My Introduction*

My name is Shia Ashakira. On my journey through worlds I encountered many wonderful, exciting, and even disturbing things. I met many nice and kind people and even bad ones too. I’ve even fallen in love. Throughout my story you will meet characters who may look the same but aren’t the same.
As my friend Yuko says: “People you know, people you’ve met on your world, they’ve developed under completely different conditions on other worlds. You may meet different versions of the same person time after time on different worlds. And just because that person is nice to you on one world doesn’t mean you will find an ally on the next.”
I know you want to read how my adventures go so now…I will allow “Truths that Hide” unravel itself.

Chapter One
*The Journey Begins*

The roses—I love that smell. Admire that smell. I had a garden full of different kinds of roses. Even the black rose grew in my garden, swirling about the pine tree, making it so the pine needles transformed into black roses. Irises, tulips, daffodils, and many other kinds of flowers sprouted from the lush green grounds. I was happy to call it my garden as I walked along the stony pathway.
I plucked herbs from the ground for my new spell. I was known as the Dark Witch, for my dark and ‘wicked’ ways. But my garden…well let’s just say people didn’t expect that from me very much.
Mara, a seven year old and a member of the ‘inside’ of town, came trotting up, strangers following her. One was of orange, brown, maybe even blonde hair and jaded green eyes. She had a lonely expression. A young boy, about a couple or more inches taller than the girl, guarded her, as if knowing something bad was going to happen. He had amber eyes and brown ruffled hair. He wore a dark green-brown cape and had on a black sleeveless turtleneck shirt, a dark green or blue colored pants, brown gloves and working boots. Goggles hung around his neck.
A taller, muscular man with short black hair and deep red eyes walked behind them. He was the tallest of the group. A blonde-haired, blue-eyed cutie walked beside the taller man. The blue-eyed one was about a foot shorter than the red-eyed man and taller than the amber-eyed and the jaded eyed.
He held something I recognized. I instantly knew that they had come. I smiled. The white, furry, long eared creature in his arms had a gold earring with a red ball dangling from it on its right ear and a large round, red crystal in the middle of its forehead.
I stood up. My black dress was stained with dirt. The long sleeves had patches of green and yellow. I chuckled, picking up Smokey, the dark gray-blue feline in which I had acquired not to long ago.
“Shia, Shia!!!” exclaimed the excited seven year old. “Come here!!” I chanted a quick spell that removed stains and I walked over to Mara and her newfound friends.
“Mara, what have I told you about strangers?” I picked up the seven year old and stared at the travelers.
“They came from the sky!” she exclaimed again. I scolded her for such nonsense but couldn’t help but smile as I rushed her inside.
“State your names.” I said already knowing them.
“I’m Fai,” the blonde one replied. I stared into his blue eyes. They reminded me of a jewel. I smiled and turned to the others.
“I am Syaoran and this is her highness Princess Sakura.”
“It’s nice to meet you,” Sakura-Chan said.
“Likewise princess.” I replied.
“This is Kuro-Puu and—” he was cut off by the big burly man.
“WHAT THE HELL HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT THOSE NICKNAMES?! IT”S KUROGANE! KURO-GANE!” I stepped back holding back laughter.
The white creature called out. “Kyah! Kuro-Chi’s scary!!” I plucked the white creature out of Fai-San’s arms and it stared up at me. Its eyes went wide and it smiled big.
“Shia! Shia! Shia! Shia! SHIAAAAAAA!” the white creature was overly excited. I smiled and looked at Kurogane.
He grumbled as I spoke. “Please do not yell. This is a peaceful country” I smiled and mumbled softly. “Or should I say world?”
I then turned to the others and lowered my head. “My name is Shia Ashakira.” I looked down at the white creature, otherwise known as Mokona. “I see you met Ichihara-San.” I pinched his cheek gently. He began to sing and I sat him down.
Fai-San smiled. “Yup.” He always smiled. Why? No one would probably ever know.
“The Time Space Witch?” asked Kurogane glaring at Mokona who had taken a seat on his shoulder.
“She goes by that. She goes by a lot of things.” I replied.
“Do you know of a medicine keeper?” asked Fai-San raising his hand.
I outstretched my arms. “I am the only one in this town.” This just made him smile more.
“We need something for this boys wound.” He waved a hand towards Syaoran-Kun.
I picked up a bottle. I shook my head and looked at him. “Magic should only be used by those who know it well.” I poured the liquid on his wound.
“I advise you not to play with magic as a young child would not play with swords.”
The liquid was healing alcohol. Although he showed no I sign of pain, I could tell it burned his wound.
“You are strong.” I said touching his forehead. “Yuko has told me about you four.” I picked up Mokona and held him close.
“You are traveling to all worlds in order to return Sakura-Chan’s memory to her.” I looked at Syaoran-Kun and leaned in close to him. “Tell me young one…how does it feel? How does it feel to lose the one you love?”
I could see a shocked look cloud over his eyes. He did not reply.
I simply just smiled.
“I am known as the Dark Witch here. I am a friend of Yuko’s.” I waved my hand about them. ‘You are safe; here no one will hurt you. Kyanne Country has its ways of protecting one. Do not harm it and it will not harm you.”
“Catchy logo.” Kurogane said mumbling.
“Yes, I like it too. I find it rather…” I stopped searching for the right word, “suitable for the Kyannians Country.” I smiled, however he was not amused. I looked from Sakura-Chan to Syaoran-Kun. I took him by the arm. “Walk with me.” I said. He hesitated but finally began to walk with me.
“Wait, where are you going?” Sakura-Chan said walking after us.
“Princess…I’ll be fine. Stay with Fai and Kurogane-San.” He said. She stopped but she had a worried expression on her face as we left.
“You paid a very high price.” I said. He just stared at the ground. I felt a pang of loneliness inside me but ignored it. “What is your goal Syaoran-Kun?”
“To retrieve her highnesses memories.” He stated.
“She isn’t around Syaoran-Kun.” He looked at me.
“Sakura-Chan is the Princess of Clow Country. I must retrieve the feathers. All of them.”
“She’s not just the princess of your home, she is more to you isn’t she?”
“She is my childhood friend…and the girl who is most precious to me.”
“It hurts doesn’t it?” he looked at me confused. He was taller than me. I was probably the same height as Sakura-Chan, maybe shorter.
We approached a crystal clear pond with gold, orange, red, and yellow fish swimming around inside it. “Yuko and I talk using this magical seeing mirror. I needed a place to hide it so I placed it within the pond.”
“Ms. Ashakira, why aren’t you surprised to see us?”
“Because I knew you would one day come.”
“Huh?”
“You see Syaoran-Kun, I have a goal too. But it is my secret. I was one day hoping you, Sakura-Chan, Fai-San, and Kurogane-San would land here.”
“Why?”
“Because I have something I need to do.”
“What is it?” I laughed.
“You have a lot of questions Syoaran-Kun.”
“…Ms. Ahsakira—”
“Shia-Chan will work just fine.” He looked at me with a strange look.
“Shia-Chan, are you going to travel with us?”
“Somewhere around that conclusion.” I smiled. “You are into history, are you not?”
“I am.” I handed him a book.
“Kyanne Country is full of many historical sites. Perhaps while you’re here you’d like to check them out.” He nodded and smiled.
“Syaoran-Kun, don’t push yourself to hard in searching for Sakura-Chan’s feathers. You will find the. All of them.”
He gave me his serious look and we began to walk back. I looked over my shoulder and saw him beginning to read the book. I watched as the sun made its way over the horizon, ready to sleep.
