GHOSTLY DARKNESS:
Genre: Horror/Romance/Comedy

Prologue

Year: 1966
“Emiko. Emiko. We’re going to a play tonight,” her mother’s soothing voice swelled in her ears. As she was lightly shaking her tired body. “Unh...” Emiko moaned slightly. “Do you think you’ll be okay while we’re gone? We’re going to be gone for a long time, until 3:00 am to be precise. Did you hear me?” Her voice became harder as she finished her sentence. And to Emiko , so did her shaking “ Yeah, mother, I heard you.” She groaned. “ We’re about to leave and we’re going to lock so don’t worry okay?” her father said. “ Mnnm.” was the answer he received. Her mother pushed back her black bangs and made way for a kiss. “ Goodbye. Call us if you need anything,” her mother said as she was walking out of her door. Her father closed the door behind her. As he was about to shut the door he turned around and said “No boys.” Then closed the door. Minutes later the car door slammed and you could hear the engine of their blue car start....then drive off.
One eye popped open. “ Okay, they’re gone.” she announced seemingly to no one until her closet opened revealing a tall teenager with messy flipped brown hair and dark brown eyes. He smiled and on Emiko’s bed which made her bounce at least an inch.
“ How was it in there?” She asked.
“ Hot! Plus you need a new wardrobe.” He joked . “ O Tenchi, hush!” She said while grabbing one her off-white pillows and hitting him with it. So they started to share kisses with each other.
While that “session” was going on, Tenchi heard something.....like the sounds of locks. He pulled away from her. “ Mph...what’s wrong?” she asked; her face was full of fear. “Nothing, nothing. I just thought ... I heard something.” They continued what they were doing, until he heard it again. “ What’s wrong!?” she asked half way raising her voice. “ I.....don’t know. I think somebody’s trying to break in.”
“ What!?” Emiko jumped to her feet. “ Are you serious!?” she hollered. “Shh, shh...listen.” His eyes widened. “ They’re coming through the window!” Emiko quickly ran out with Tenchi straight behind her. She took out a knife and Tenchi, a butcher knife. “ I’ll go outside.” Tenchi whispered. Emiko’s heart dropped to her feet and felt like it was leaving blue streaks behind of sadness, anger, depression...
“ Be careful! Don’t do anything stupid!” Tenchi felt her feelings too, running through his body; he was terribly scared. They gave each other a long loving look. Tenchi broke it by running outside and grabbing the nearest flash light. Emiko felt tears burning already for she didn’t know what would happen. Clank, clank, clank! Emiko turned her head “ Who’s there!?” she had a knife ready, but no one replied. “ I sa-“
“Aaaaah!!”
“Tenchi!” Her eyes widened, her heart sank, her ankles became weak. She was dumbfounded. Her mind said “Go!”, but her body didn’t listen. “ Aaaaaaah!”
She heard it again. She ran out the door and saw Tenchi hanging from a tree, but there was only half of him. His upper body hanged: eyes wide open, dripping blood, his mouth open also still gushing out gallons of blood...Emiko could not express how she felt. She went back inside to call the police, but something grabbed her arm. “ Ah! Let me go!”
“ Shut up!” said the voice. He then took Emiko’s knife and stabbed her everywhere he could. The killer left her and her boyfriend there, dying....bleeding. Two hours later the parents returned. Her father’s eyes bulged when he saw the sight of Tenchi’s half corpse, finally stopped bleeding. His heart sank; his wife screamed with horror, waking up the whole block. All of her father’s dreams went down the drain: his hopes of Emiko and Tenchi’s happy wedding. Surrounded by family and friends in white clothing, smiling and laughing ; applauding and clanking glasses of champaigne. His hopes of having grandchildren. Now, all of that was erased. His wife ran in the house. She gasped at the sight of her daughter’s lifeless corpse. She had enough, she couldn’t take it. She collasped on top of her baby. Her father ran in and saw his daughter, and quickly called 911.
Days later they had a funeral. Both for Emiko and for Tenchi. Emiko was dressed in a beautiful light blue wedding dress with little patterns of diamonds and sequins. Tenchi was in a black tuxedo with a blue rose. They barried them right next to each other. It was a sad day ever since then. Her family moved out because of the feeling that the house gave off: sad, depressed, anger, and death. No one has ever lived in that house for the past 40 years because if anyone lived in that house would either die, gets seriously injured, gets possessed, or goes insane......Until......

“ This? This is our new house? Dad, you have to be kidding!” said a boy with a look of disgust and unease. “ Now, Yoshikazu. Your father has worked really hard for us to afford a new house, so you have no choice.”
“ Hn. I’d rather sleep outside.”
“ Yoshikazu!” his mother scolded at him. “ Okay, I’m kidding!”
“ Good. Now help us with the bags.” the boy rolled his eyes and grabbed his things from the trunk. He looked at the house. “ Why do I have a bad feeling about this house?”

Story 1

The new family walked up to the entrance of the house and entered, the Yoshikzau’s parents in awe. “ Wow, this place is amazing!” said his father gazing at the living room. “ Yes, this house is quite lovely, isn’t it Yoshikazu?” said his mother looking towards her uninterested son. “ It’s okay....where’s my room?” His mother sighed, and guided him to his new room, both in silence. Once they reached the room, they sat Yoshikazu’s things down. “ Dear, I know moving is hard and a little scary.”
“ Your treating me like I’m five years old, mom. I’m not afraid to move. It’s just that every time I start to get friends, we move away.” He paused. “ That makes me angry.”
“ You’ll meet someone new, trust me, okay?” His mother hugged him and kissed him on his forehead. “ We’ll be in the living room if you need us.”
“ Yeah, yeah, okay.”
His mother left the room, and Yoshikazu walked around in his new room. “ Hmph, what’s so special about this place? There’s nothing good about it. This place is just old, and eery.” He looked out the window , staring at the neighborhood he now lived in. It was very quiet, nothing but a few cars drove by. “ Man, it’s so boring here!...Huh?” Yoshikazu saw something in the reflection of the window besides his own face. It was very white, and it didn’t move. He turned around to see what it was, but nothing was there. He raised an eyebrow and shrugged. “ I guess it was nothing....I hope it was nothing.” He then started walking to where his parents were, the living room to see if they unpacked anything yet. “ Mom, dad?”
“ Yes, kiddo?”
“ We’re over here, dear!” His parents were carrying a heavy dresser, and they were about to drop it. “ Kid, you mind helping us over here!?”
“ Uh, okay.” They walked the dresser to one of the rooms and put it down. “ Thanks, son.”
“ Uh-huh. Can I go outside for a while so I can get used to the neighborhood?”
“ Sure thing. Just–“
“ Don’t talk to strangers, don’t ride with strangers, and no crazy stuff. I know already that stuff. You told me that everyday, ever since I was 5. I’m 15 years old now. I can take care of myself.”
“ I know. But still be careful.” He nodded and waved goodbye and he began walking own the block. “ Heh, I’m finally away from that place! Yes! Now to act normal!”

You see, Yoshikazu is actually a energetic teen who loves adventure, a little cocky, funny, a strong person and has a kind and generous soul but he hates being tricked on and people with bad attitudes, thinking that they’re better than everyone else. He laughed and ran down the steep sidewalk at full speed, and he didn’t stop. “ Huh? Hey, a park.” He slowly stopped running. He saw some boys about his age , playing basketball. He smiled and walked over there. But when he got halfway there, he saw one boy pushed another boy, making him slide across the concrete. Yoshikazu ran over there yelling, “ Hey, you okay!?” The boy’s leg had a big scrape on it and it was bleeding like you wouldn’t believe. “ My...leg...burns!”
“ Man, that looks nasty,” said one boy. “ Yeah, is he okay?” said another. Yoshikazu finally got to the injured boy and he ripped his sleeve and rapped it around the boy’s leg. “ Geez, are you okay, dude?”
“ Y-yeah...I think so. Thanks alot....um..”
“ Oh yeah! I’m Yoshikazu Higashiyama.”
“ Nice...to meet you. Shikamaru Jones.” He had grayish white-ish hair which spiked out to the side, and grayish eyes. Plus he looked too young to be a teenager. Maybe it’s his innocence. Yoshikazu smiled at him, and said, “ Nice to meet you, Shika!” He then picked up Shikamaru and carried him on his back to the park bench. He carefully placed him down on the bench. “ Thanks a lot.”
“ No problem. Huh.”
“ What?”
“ You don’t look like a guy who would play sports at all. Why do you play sports if you don’t like them?”
“ To tell the truth...I’m afraid of each kind of sport there is.” Yoshikazu looked a little surprised. “ Your even afraid of game with the birdie and the racket?”
“ What? They use real birds in that sport!? No way am I gonna play that game!” Yoshikazu laughed. “ They’re not real birds, that’s just what they are called. I don’t know why, but it that’s its name!” Shikamaru sighed in relief, and laughed sheepishly. “ Oh, thank goodness! I thought they were real birds.” Then they both laughed. Yoshikazu then stopped thinking about Shikamaru’s injury. “ How’s your leg?”
“ Huh? It doesn’t hurt as much, thanks to you.”
“ Huh!? Hah hah hah! No, I’m just doing my job as a kind person! Hah hah hah ha!” he said and then stopped and looked at the other boys playing basketball. “ Who pushed you anyway?”
“ That guy right there.”
“ Which one?”
“ The one in the black shirt, and black shorts.” Yoshikazu began to walk other there. “ Wait! Where are you going!?” He turned around and said, “ I’m gonna make this guy apologize to you for what he did! If that a real game, he would be out by now!”
“ You’ll get killed!” Yoshikazu turned back around , not paying any attention to him. “ I warned him.”
“ Hey you! The one in the black!” The boy stopped playing and looked at Yoshikazu in disgust. “ Yeah? What do you want?”
“ Apologize to Shikamaru!” The boy just laughed and said, “ I don’t want to.” Yoshikazu grabbed the boy by his collar and lifted him off the ground and demanded, “ Apologize to him now or face my wrath.” The boy looked frightened and nodded. “ Okay! Okay, just don’t hurt me!” He dropped him on the ground the boy ran to Shikamaru and said cowardly, “ I’m so so so so so so so so sorry, Shikamaru -san!!”
“ Uh....yeah. I forgive you....?” The boy then ran away like a dog. Yoshiakazu laughed while running over to Shikamaru. “ Man, that was funny! Hah hah hah hah! See? He was just a coward!” Yoshikazu flexed his muscles and said happily, “ No one’s gonna bother you while I’m around!” He then winked and looked at his watch. “ It’s 3:40. I gotta go.”
“ What? So early?”
“ Yeah, my mom gets very worried easily. I said I was walking around, not going to the park and beating up people.” Shikamaru smiled and stood up. “ Ow, well, ow, I’ll, ow, see, ow, you, ow, tomorrow?” Yoshikazu nodded and and started walking waving goodbye. Shikamaru waved back.

Yoshikazu finally got home , and his mother nearly hugged him to death. “ I was so so so so so so so so worried about you!!!!”
“ Eh...mom...I was..only out for....for 20 minutes....and your killing me right now.”
“ What? Oh, sorry.”
“ You know how your mother gets. She’s very paranoid when it comes to you, your our only child.” Yoshikazu gave his dad a “ I know” look and said, “ Still, you guys signed me up for karate class in five different schools...FIVE SCHOOLS.” His mother giggled happily, and hugged her son once more. “ Yes, and people get afraid of you if you just give them a look.”
“ Which is cool for me, but quit being freaking paranoid about me, I’ll be fine.”
“ Oh, I know.” Yoshikazu crossed his arms and put a “yeah right” face on. His mother saw his expression and she scoffed at him. “ What?”
“ You know that you won’t stop being over protective no matter what!”
“ Well, you are my one and only son!”
“ Yeah, I know. I’m going to my room,” he said with a bored tone in his voice. “ Okay!”
Yoshikazu went up to his room which now had funiture in it and plopped down on his bed and starred at the ceiling. He sighed and turned on his side.
He walked around the room every 2 minutes, and he gazes out of the window for 20. He did this until the sun was almost impossible to see, and the sky was orange and red. He walked to the kitchen and found that his parents weren’t there. He sighed and ran his fingers through his brown hair. “ Great, where’d they go?” He said and rested on the counter top. He then noticed a note that said:

Yoshikazu,

We went to the store to get things for the house, and dinner. I called you to see if you wanted to go, but you didn’t answer.
We’ll back in a little while.

Love,
Mom

“ Oh yeah, leave me here with no snacks! Thanks a lot mom!” He sulked for 5 minutes and walked around the kitchen. He looked at ceiling and noticed brown stains. He starred at it a while longer and then shrugged. “ Wonder what that stuff is. It looks like dry blood,” he said, and then looked a little lost. “ Wait....blood???”

Story 2

“ Wait....blood?” He shook his head, trying to convince himself that it wasn’t what he thought is was. “ Nah! Why would it be blood? A blender probably went crazy, and whatever they were making bursted out and hit the ceiling, yeah.” He gulped and began to back out of the kitchen. “ T-that’s all it is.”
He laughed nervously and he suddenly felt a cold breeze go past him. He froze. He looked around and he didn’t and inch. “ W-who’s there?” Yoshikazu said in a shaky voice. There was nothing but silence in the kitchen.
Yoshikazu then laughed at what he was doing. “ What am I doing, acting like this? There’s no one here but me! Ha ha! I’m getting all scared for nothing!” He turned around still laughing but, what was behind him was something white, and it looked like a demon from Hell. It had red eyes, and it did nothing but whisper. It would crawl on the ground and just stare at you with it’s red screaming eyes, you could just stand there in fear and you couldn’t look away. The moment Yoshikazu laid eyes on this monstrosity, a surge of panic and sickening fear blew through his chest- his voice echoed in a scream throughout the building. Quickly, he rushed in the direction of his room- hoping, praying that he’d be safe there- and slammed the door behind, heart thumping at an unimaginable rate.He sat beside his bed and peeked over it to see if it was coming. There was a light under his door out, but it disappeared without a trace. He sighed and propped his back against the side of his bed. “Glad that’s over....what the heck was that anyway?” He whispered. “ Where did it come from? What does it want?” He sat there in silence. Listening to his surroundings, making sure it wasn’t in his room. ‘ Wait a minute, I saw a light....the same light that the creature was......’ he thought. He heard a whisper just outside the door, it sounded like it was calling him.. He jumped in surprise and instantly became afraid. Yoshikazu didn’t move an inch. He gulped and his heart rate grew in an instant.

The whispering stopped. Yoshikazu still didn’t move. He listened again for the creature, but there was nothing but dead silence. Yoshikazu sighed and wiped the sweat from his forehead. He looked over his bed to see if was safe. There was nothing. No strange glows, nothing. He sat back on the floor beside his bed. ‘ That was a close one’, he thought. ‘ For sure, I thought I would be dead meat. What WAS that thing anyway?’ Yoshikazu looked to his left for a moment suddenly noticing that it was too quiet. He stood up and walked around his bed. He froze in his tracks. His heart rate grew faster and faster, his eyes were locked on the thing in front him, the thing from Hell. It was on the ground. Laying there, with no legs, and only one arm, blood all over, holes everywhere on it’s body. It was crawling closer to Yoshikazu. It looked up at him with it’s blood crimson eyes. It opened it’s mouth and said a single word.

“ Yo...shi....ka...zu..”

He was about to scream his heart out. He opened his mouth, but no sound came from his throat. He was so shooken up, that he couldn’t even run, but where was he going to run? Was he going to jump out of the window and kill himself?
He wouldn’t have the courage to do such a thing, even if he is face to face with a demon straight from the pits of Hell. It grabbed his leg, and looked up at him once more, and smiled. He was in complete total fear, his whole body completely shut down, he was going to let himself die...

Just.....
Like......
THAT.

“ YOSHIKAZU, WE’RE HOME!!”

Story 3

“YOSHIKAZU, WE’RE HOME!!” There wasn’t a reply. “Yoshikazu? Honey?!” cried his mother. “ What’s the matter?”
“He isn’t answering me. Something’s wrong.” His mom put the bags on the kitchen counter and ran to her son’s room. What she saw was her son sitting there on the ground, tears coming from his eyes, and a face of total fear. “Yoshikazu? Yoshikazu, what happened to you?!” Yoshikazu said nothing. “Yohsikazu, say something!”
“.......”
“ What happened!?” She shook his body and constantly said his name, hoping that she will get an answer. Her husband came in and found her shaking their son, crying. “ Yoshikazu....son, what’s the matter?” His son didn’t answer. “ Dang it, answer me!” Still nothing. He held his wife, trying to calm her down, saying that he’ll be okay, but he was just as worried as she was.
“ Moth...er...”
“...!? Yoshikazu! What’s the matter, Yoshikazu!”
“......the...thing...” His parents didn’t understand what he was saying. The thing? Was is the thing? Yoshikazu began to shake and he suddenly screamed the scream that was locked in his throat. His mother quickly grabbed her son, and held him tightly, rubbing his head. His dad just sat there for a while and pondered, ‘What is the thing? What is this boy talking about? What caused him to be so afraid?’
Yoshikazu finally stopped crying, and his mom wiped his eyes. “ My baby...what happened to you?”
“.....The thing...”
“ What thing?” said his father looking a bit serious. “ There was a creature.....in the house....white....blood crimson eyes...so...so frightening.....” His parents were in shock. His mom looked at Yoshikazu with a worried face. “ When did you see this...this creature?” Yoshikazu went silent for a while. He gulped. “ There...was...red stains...on the ceiling....”
“ Red stains?”
“The..kitchen....”
His parents looked at each other for two seconds and then looked at their son once more to hear the rest. But, instead of hearing the rest, Yoshikazu was trying to stand up. He wobbled a little bit and fell backward, but his parents caught him before he fell. “Are you alright, dear?”
“ Your alright, aren’t you kid?” Yoshikazu nodded and used his parents to get back up on his two feet. He began to walk slowly and stopped right in front of the door. He turned his head and looked at them, telling them to follow. His parents noticed what he was trying to say and followed their uneasy son to the kitchen. He walked to the counter and looked up, pointing at the ceiling. His mother and father looked up and saw red stains. They were all over the ceiling. They gasped. Yoshikazu suddenly felt a cold breeze pass him by. There was a whisper on the breeze.
It was nothing but laughter.
Yoshikazu suddenly fainted and hit the hard floor with a loud “thump”. It was too much for him to bear. He was left home alone with a creature that knows his name, a creature that wants to kill him. For what? Why? His parents frantically cried out to him, shaking his now motionless body once more. He didn’t move not one bit, he didn’t even twitch. He just lied there, with a thought of dying so suddenly.

Story 4

“Urgh.....wha....where...am I??” Yoshikazu looked around the room. “ Your at the hospital, said a voice beside him. The boy’s heart rate began to pick up speed as he turned his head quickly. His heart rate returned to normal as he realized that it was only a nurse. “ How are you feeling?” Yoshikazu ran his hand through his hair and placed a light smile on his lips. “ I’m feeling better than I was before....um...where are my parents?” The nurse smiled warmly. “ Oh, they just went to get you something to eat. They said that you’d be hungry once you woke up.”
“ Yeah, I am pretty hungry. How long have been in the hospital?”
“ You were here for about three days.”
Yoshikazu groaned in dissapointment. “ Oh great! I missed my first day of school!”
“ Not to worry, Mr. Miyake. We called your school and told them why you couldn’t attend school yesterday.”
“ Oh. Thanks a lot.”
“ No problem.” He paused for a moment. “ When will I get out of this hospital?”
“ In a couple of hours,” said the nurse, walking to the door. “ Do you want anything to drink, Mr. Miyake?” Yoshikazu nodded. “ Some water would be nice.”
“ Alright, I’ll be back in five minutes.”
As soon as the nurse left out of the room, Yoshikazu’s body shook wildly. He hugged his legs to his chest, tears flowing down from his face. He could not get the image of that creature out of his mind. “ Why......why does it want to kill me!?” He cried out. “ I did nothing!!!”
The door opened and his parents rushed to his side. “ Yoshikazu!! Are you alright!?” His mother pulled her son close, and rocked him until he finally stopped shaking. “ It’s alright..”
“ Your are going to be fine, Yoshikazu,” said his father, stroking his son’s head softly. Yoshikazu stopped crying and wiped his eyes. “Mom.....I don’t understand....what does it want from me!? I didn’t do anything!”
“ We know you didn’t, honey. We will not let that...thing harm you.” Their son smirked. “ Thanks....”
“ No problem, sport. Hey, you hungry?”
“ Yeah. What you get me?”
“ Your favorite. Takuyaki.” Yoshikazu smelled the takuyaki, and rubbed his stomach. “ Smells great! Did mom make it or is it from a fast food place?”
“ Of course I made it, dear!”
“ Good! Your cooking is way better than the fast food places,” Yoshikazu said with a big smile on his face. His mother and father looked at their happy son and smiled back. “ It’s good to have my little boy smile like this again.”
“Huh? I’m not a little boy anymore, pop! I’m 15 years old now!”
“ Your still my little boy, no matter what you say!” Said his father, with a hearty laugh.
“ Yeah, yeah, I know.”

A couple of hours later, Yoshikazu was well enough to go home. Yoshikazu got up from the hospital bed and stretched his whole body. “Man, my body feels numb!”
“ Well, you were motionless for three days, Mr. Miyake!” Said the nurse with a little giggle.
“ True. That is true. Well....thanks for everything!”
“ You are most welcome, Mr. Miyake!”

There was no sound in the hallway, nothing but the sound of his footsteps. Yoshikazu constantly kept looking behind him after every third step he made. “Okay, everything is normal so far,” he muttered. He put his hands in his pockets and took a deep breath. He looked around one more time and then he stopped. “ Okay......it’s not in the hospital.”
“ Are you sure about that....Yoshikazu?”
He froze dead in his tracks. He reconized that raspy voice. He turned his head around slowly, and there it was....the creature from Hell.

Story 5

He froze dead in his tracks. He reconized that raspy voice. He turned his head around slowly, and there it was....the creature from Hell.

His scream echoed in the quiet hallways, his feet raced along the slippery floor. His heart pounded loudly, his breath quickened. He didn’t look back, he didn’t stop running, he couldn’t stop running. He didn’t want to die in the hands of a monster.
“Wh–why!?!” Yoshikazu slowed down and went to a complete stop, catching his breath. “Why..does it want me to....to die?!” Yoshikazu felt his eyes burning with tears as he cried out in fear. He couldn’t bear it any longer. He fell to his knees, holding himself, tears running from his eyes. “ I.....I don’t.....don’t understand.....”
“Yoshikazu?”
Yoshikazu turned his head to see a familiar face, It was the boy he met in the park, Shikamaru Jones. “Yoshikazu? What happened to you, why are you crying?”
“It’s.......it’s after me...” Shikamaru’s face looked a little frightened and confused at the same time. “ What...what is after you?”
“ A..monster.....”
“ What!? Where?!” Shikamaru panicked and clung to Yoshikazu. “ W-w-w-what monster!?”
“ I...ran away from it. But...” Yoshikazu paused. “ What are you doing in the hospital?”
“Huh? Oh, my mom had a heart attack.” Shikamaru said looking at the ground. “......I’m sorry, I-I didn’t..”
“ Oh, don’t worry about it. This has happened to her before. She barely survived though. I don’t..think that she’ll live to see the next day this time...but, that;s my problem to bear with!” Shikamaru put a small smile on his face, tears falling from his face. He quickly wiped them away and said, “So, why are you in the hospital?”
“.......I....passed out at home.”
“ Wha–why–........you’re okay now....right?” Yoshikazu shrugged then sighed. “ I don’t know yet...as long as that thing keeps trying to–what was that?” The two boys didn’t move a muscle. They heard heavy breathing coming from the hallway next to them. Yoshikazu’s quickly stood up, then grabbed Shikamaru’s hand. “Yoshikazu why are you....?”
“ .......We need to run.....”
“ Huh? Why?” Yoshikazu began to walk quickly, still holding on to Shikamaru’s hand. “ Yoshikazu, why are you...!”
“ We need to run now!” Yoshikazu broke out into a run, taking Shikamaru with him. Once again he didn’t look back, knowing that if you stare into its blood red eyes, you’re a goner. S
Shikamaru, trying to keep up, looked back and saw nothing. “Yoshikazu, there is nothing behind us! Why are we running!?”
“ We have to get away!”
“ From what!?” Shikamaru stopped and got his arm out of Yoshikazu’s hard grip. “ What are we running from? There is nothing coming after us!”
“ Not yet, there isn’t. Can’t you feel it?”
“...Feel what? I don’t feel anything except tired!.......what are you staring at?” Yoshikazu whole body had froze, his eyes looking beyond Shikamaru. “ We shouldn’t have stopped running....it’s coming for me......for us.”
“ Okay, you’re starting to freak me out Yoshikazu! What happen to the tough guy I met at the park?!”
“ Oh no.....”
“ Huh?”
The electricity went out. The hallways were as dark as night. Not a sound was heard. “What’s..g-g-g-going on???” Shikamaru stuttered. Yoshikazu didn’t say a word. He just stared into the darkness.
“Yoshi...ka..zu...heh heh heh....”
Yoshikazu quickly turned around. Nothing. He looked around and saw nothing. “What was t-t-t-that!?” Shikamaru grabbed onto Yoshikazu’s arm and squeezed it tight.
“ I told you that we had to get away. Now....we have to face it. Now.....” Yoshikazu gulped. “We will die...”
