Apologies and Prelim Battle

I really want to apologize that I haven't really visited anyone's site lately. I try to make it a habit to visit you when you update your otaku life, but I've been rather overwhelmed these days. Still, that's really no excuse. I'm sorry if you updated the last couple of days and I still haven't visited yet. It's my bad, but I also need to tell ya'll that I'm taking a break for a while, so after tomorrow, you won't find me here until the start of the competition. All of your comments were very helpful, and will be taken into consideration by my crack team of judges (namely me, my sister, and my cousin) but we've finally hit a snag >.<

I would like this competition to have a lot of variations therefore I have to limit one character from a certain anime in each team. Like, I can't have two characters from the same anime in one team, so you guys are gonna hafta vote for your faves now.

Sesshoumaru or Inu Yasha

Xellos or Valgaav

Kurama or Jin

The list is not yet finalized, so don't expect to see all of the listed bishies below. More will be added while some will be taken out. The hardest prelim battle would hafta be the first one. I already have an idea about the others.

B.o.t.B
If you visit me often, then you might know what BotB stands for. It's what Lil Psycho and Hetepka have dubbed my soon to be character contest. ^^ Hugs and chocolate chip cookies to you both. ^^

Anyway, as mentioned in a previous post, it's a spinoff of Flava's character poll. I had wanted to do something more interactive so I decided to pit bishie against bishie to find out who is the most desirable, bishie-licious character in the anime fandom?

I'm taking Hetepka's advice and sort them by hair color. So far, I've only 37 contestants, but I wish to broaden it further with your help, Minna.

Wahhh!

I just want to kick myself for what happened the other day. My friend and I were looking for periwinkles at the State Park. My friend's brother was kicking my bucket around. As luck should have it, I go to pick it up and I find a four-leaf clover. Can you believe that? A real Four-leaf clover. *sobs* I felt like crying for what I did next. My friend suggested I put it some place safe, so I put it in my pocket. Then, we went on our merry way to find some periwinkles. Later, it turned out, my pocket had a hole. *sigh* There goes my Good Luck charm. I was soo mad! Who is stupid enough to be able to find a four-leaf clover and lose it in one day? Well, me apparently... Damn! I'm never gonna win the lottery now. *huge sigh*

Mou, I just wanted to get that off my chest. Dammit! A four-leaf clover! A Four. Leaf. Clover. I soo wanna kick myself for that...

Annyong (did I spell that right?)

Y'know, I just realized something today. My Bishie of the Week isn't interactive at all, is it? Yeah, I know. I'm very slow when it comes to realizing these things. Where's the fun of me just stating my opinions? My teacher doesn't seem to like it when I state my opinions in class, so I'm probably boring you guys, aren't I?

I think I want to do something that'll involve the lot of people, instead of me just picking a random bishie. Um, I'm just rambling now.

I have an idea of what I want to do. It's kind of a spinoff of Flava's character poll, but I won't go into the nitty gritty just yet. Sorry, I'm probably wasting your time. Who's really reading this anyway?

New Week... New Bishie...

Did you know? Underneath all that make-up lies a bishie ^^. From Hunter X Hunter, it's the one and only...

Name: Hisoka or Hysoka
Name Meaning: In kanji, his name can mean mysterious which I think is very fitting for his character ^^
Age: 26 or 27
Likes: Well, he likes killing people -.-
Nen Type: Transformation
Blood Type: They say that your blood type determines what kind of person you are and the nen ability that you have. In Hisoka's case, he's a B type.
Seiyuu: Takahashi Hiroki

Background: Hisoka is a guy shrouded in mystery. I have yet to find out who he really is or where he came from and I've read up to chapter 210 already.

Personality: Well, he's no Rico Suave, but who really likes that kind of guy anyway. Anywho, Hisoka is a member of the Genei Ryodan headed by Kuroro Lucifer (who is also a bishie). He's the kind of guy who lusts after a good fight. He sees himself as one of the best fighter there is out there and is always looking to challenge anyone who is on par with him. For this reason, he has spared Gon's life a-many a-times, hoping the young lad will improve himself so that one day they can spar on equal terms. He's not so bad when you think about it. Hisoka may have a big ego when it comes to fighting, but at least he has the talent to back it up ^^

Most Memorable Performance:
Hehe. It's not exactly a performance, but more of a...uh... well, you'll see:

Okay, this is definitely not for little kiddies. If you wish to take a gander, you may. Just don't come crying to me if your parents call the priest to sprinkle holy water in your eyes. You have been warned.
Contains implied nudity. The reason why I like this scene is not because of his apparent bishie-ness. No, I'm not that shallow. *rolls eyes* You have to read it in context. I just loved Biscuit's reaction when he surfaced. It was just too hilarious. Hisoka doesn't give a damn what goes on around him and just lets it all hang out -.- Literally...He couldn't find a shower, so he had to use the lake.

Yahoo! It's Easter Break

Yep, yep. It's another vacation for me ^^ My friends and I are going on a three day camping trip tomorrow. I'm soo excited. Nature will surely lift my spirits somehow, unless she decides to rain on my parade. *shrugs*
And when I get back, you will see new art. That is... unless you don't. For some reason, the server never wants to accept my artwork. Meh. Gotta get home and pack. ^^ See you guys next week.

Say, Minna-san...

Sorry about not updating a Bishie of the week yesterday. I ran into a little snag called school, but that's okay. I'm back on my feet now ^^.
Okay peeps, help spread the word okay? Uzumaki Naruto has two very fun quizzes going on on his site. It would be soo great if more people were to participate. *gives puppy dog eyes* Pwetty pwease. Just scroll down my list of friends. He's at the bottom so check him out.

Hmmm... I don't really have anything else to add. Oh yeah, wait. Is anyone here familiar with a mini movie series called "The Tenth Kingdom?" If so, do you know who the Five Queens are? They're supposed to be five major female leads from Grimm's Fairytales. Y'know, like Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. There's two more, but I don't know their names. You might be wondering why I'm asking. Well, to make a long post short. I'm writing a Naruto and Tenth Kingdom crossover. ~.^ It's not done yet so keep it on the down low. Bishie of the Week

Since I just finished Hikaru no Go, it's only expected that I start off the week with: *sounds trumpet*

Name: Fujiwara no Sai
Name Meaning: Unknown, but if you spell Sai in a different way in kanji, it means hippo or rhino (reference in the anime)
Age: Unknown, but rumored to have died in his early to mid twenties
Likes: Go of course.
Dislikes: Toads ^.^
Hair Color: It's purple in the anime, but is constantly changing in the manga; however, it's predominantly brown.
Japanese Voice Actor: Chiba Susumu

Background: Sai was a Go master who taught the Emperor how to play Go during the Heian Period. When he was charged with cheating during a very important game, he was exiled from the city. Sai drowned himself soon after that, but his spirit came to possess a Goban (a board for playing Go). He wants to continue playing Go until he is able to achieve the "Hand of God." 1,000 years later, he meets Shindou Hikaru and the story starts from there... (It's corny, I know, but it's still good ^.^)

Personality: This is the ultimate deciding factor to why I like Sai. He has a kind and caring personality with an almost neurotic obsession with Go. (Who am I kidding? Almost... ^.^) Although he's over 1,000 years old, he can be pretty childish at times, tending to glomp and whine when Hikaru doesn't let him play, but that's what I like about him. Even though he's a ghost, he's very much human. He becomes jealous that Hikaru is of the living world and he is, well, dead. -.- He also develops feelings of insecurity when he sees how much progress Hikaru has made for himself in only two years time. This leads Sai to realize that Hikaru will be the one to reach the "Hand of God" and major character development ensues here. This is to show that no matter how Hot the bishie, they have their flaws and I love Sai for this reason. ^.^

Most Memorable Performance:
At Hikaru's first team match with Haze Jr. High:
Sai: Ahh, it's so exciting. I want to play.
Hikaru: You don't have to do anything today, Sai. I'll be playing.
Sai: *looks shocked* Demo, Yesterday, Hikaru told me there was a game today and you had me do your History homework.
Hikaru: I said there was a game today, I didn't say you were playing.
Sai: *sobs* Hikaru's so mean. Hmph. Hikaru's going to lose so badly today.
Hikaru: Whatever.

Ooh! A flash of Inspiration

I just got a great idea. Some myOtaku sites have these character polls and music contests and I thought "Hey, that's great! Why don't I jump on this bandwagon too." But then I thought "What the hell can I do that isn't already done?" Flava has that cool character poll, Uzumaki Naruto (dammit I love that name!) has his song quizzes (which more of you should participate in by the way). So what's left for me?

Well, you see... Looking over my Rabid Fangirl resume, it would seem I have a numerous amount of bishounen to drool over. And being the kind, warm-hearted, person that I am, why don't I share them with all of you. ^^ *checks court appeal* Nope, that's not violating my restraining order. So what do you think?

It's not a character poll contest, but more like a "Bishounen of the Week" and why I like him. Hmph. That'll give me something to do with this site rather than whine about my boring life. ^^

Currently grooving to "Get Over" by Dream.

Well, break's over so here I am. Back in school again. *sobs* Anyway, I just finished drawing three new pics. ^^ I'm soo proud. Debating whether or not I should color them. I suck at that, y'know. Meh! If I do decide to color them, it'll probably be finished by the end of next week. Man! I don't know how these artists update their portfolio so frequently... It's really something y'know.

By the way, does anyone know where I can get Manga Translation for the Puppeteer Mysteries? It sounds pretty cool and the art is by Obata-san himself. Ahh! The artist behind Hikaru no Go. *squee* Sakon up there looks strikingly like Sai... well kinda. Hey! I can dream.
