   Boogieman? Real?

My friends and I had an interesting conversation the other night at dinner. We were talking about Superman (RIP), LOTR, and Sailor Moon. Then the conversation got steered towards haunted houses and things that go bump in the night. Appropriate since halloween is rearing it's head soon.

The friend of a friend told us about her uncle who claims a boogieman chased him up the stairs one night. He ran into his room and threw the covers over his head, but the boogieman chased him still and pulled the covers off. The guy freaked and so he past out. They found him on the floor the next morning o.o

It was kinda hard for me to swallow that story, but there's really no reason for someone to lie about it, right? If ghost exists, then the boogieman can be true too, ne? My sister actually had a supernatural encounter as well.

We used to live in a haunted house. The land that the house was built on was actually the place where weapons were kept during the Civil War. A lot of history... Anyway, I was around seven and my sister was twelve. Since the house was small there was only two bedrooms. My grampa slept on a makeshift bed in the living room. My parents in one room, and me and my three sisters in one room with two beds.

That night, I slept with my eldest sister and she's the one that got spooked. It was around 2 am and she was woken up by someone's voice. There was a person (a girl she thinks) standing at the foot of our bed pointing her finger at my sister. I was sleeping the whole time, so I didn't see or hear anything except my sister kept kicking me awake. I remembered hearing something along the lines of "I want my life back!" but I had no idea where it came from. She kicked me so hard, I began crying and that's when my mom came into the room.

My sister was so pale when my mom turned the lights on and she didn't even move an inch from the bed. The covers were pulled up to her face. Then she screamed and was in hysterics telling my mom about a ghost in the room. I was still crying, cuz my foot hurt and she kicked real hard y'know. My mother wasn't listening to my sister's rambling saying that she had bruised my foot because of a nightmare. And Yup, when I looked down, there was a bruise, only it resemble fingers that was wrapped above the heel of my left foot. I accused my sister of pinching me in her sleep, but she denies it claiming she was too scared to even move...Right...

I slept in my mom's room that night and my sis slept on the other bed with my other sisters. Hmm, I don't really know if she got any sleep that night b/c she looked really white in the morning. My bruise looked a little red, but it disappeared afterwards.

Sometimes, I think to myself: How did she manage to pinch my left foot when I usually sleep in an awkward postion with my foot hanging off the bed; and how the heck did her hand reach that far down? o.o It's a mystery really. Was it a ghost? I'll believe it when I see it. And since I technically didn't see anything, I'm inclined to believe that she had pinched me in her sleep...

We moved out of that house soon after that. And no reports of ghost sighting were made by my sister after that night... but I don't know... maybe it was a ghost... maybe I'm paranoid... But ghost or not, boogieman or not, I'd rather be safe than sorry. I won't sleep with my foot hanging off the bed anymore -.-

Any of you got a ghost story, you wanna share?
