   AEGFF, Chapter 30!!!
OMFG, the big 3-0! Jeebus, I've been writing this story for forever, it seems. Well, Tera gets to witness the wonder of childbirth, which kind of a big thing for a big chapter. lolz. Anyway, enjoi. P.S. Mr. Spielsen sounds like Mr. Neilson for a reason... lolz. Oh and the pregnancy thing is explained in... now.

Chapter 30

Keisha wasn’t exactly the quiet type; Tera discovered that as they followed the ambulance to the hospital. Apparently, the teacher was a month and a week early; in fact, she was going on pregnancy leave the next day. Tera smiled and said things never seem to go according to plan. Eventually, the conversation headed to Mr. Spielsen, and the cause of his limp. When they walked into the hospital behind the other students, they were laughing quite raucously.

“Jeez, I can’t believe your volcano project actually exploded!” Keisha laughed, not noticing her black hair falling over her eyes again, “what’s more, I can’t believe it actually knocked down on of the lights!” Tera was still laughing, but the doctor called her in to help with the birth. After telling the kids not to annoy the nurses too much, she headed off, being told by the teacher to call for her husband and her family members.

Tera did posthaste, but eventually found herself having to help back in the doctor’s office. Mrs. Manatee was having a lot of difficulty with the baby; Tera ended up becoming the support and handholding person. The nurse advised Mrs. Manatee not to scream, as it would put less energy into pushing out the baby. It seemed to be good advice; after all, she was waking up patients down the hall with how loud she was yelling.

“Tera!” Mrs. Manatee shouted, “remind me to adopt next time!” Tera smiled and nodded, the occasional “Push!” being shouted throughout the room. Soon enough, Mr. Manatee arrived; he was skinny and rather tall, unlike his wife at the moment. He’d brought a camera, but almost fainted on the spot. Tera caught him before he fell down, sitting him in a chair. Then, the doctor yelled something similar to, “I can see the head!” and there was another loud splashing noise. Tera didn’t manage to avoid that splash either, and found her shoes to be squishy with baby juice again. After several more pushes, and Tera being forced to take photos, Mrs. Mandrake (as was her REAL name) had given birth to a baby boy.

Tera had to phone parents and tell them to come to the hospital to pick up their kids, telling them that their children weren’t hurt and that the teacher was just having her baby. While they were waiting, Tera decided to play a game with the kids while they waited for their parents to arrive. However, she now had a new question in her head; since their teacher would be gone for a year or so at least… who would be teaching them. However, that was answered simply by Keisha.

“Tera, you’re probably going to be our teacher for the rest of the year.” Keisha said, “you may not be FULLY qualified yet, but you will be in two years… a little practice couldn’t hurt, right?” Tera was speechless, and decided that this might not have been such a great idea. It would be difficult to do her schoolwork for college AND teach… but what the heck… she knew the junior high-class stuff was easy compared to what she was learning now.

“I suppose… but you’ll have to go easy on me.” Tera said, “you aren’t the only ones with homework.” She smiled, and the game continued as if it hadn’t been interrupted. Soon enough, kids were being whisked home by their parents. Keisha was the last to go, and had somewhat befriended her new teacher. After all, they both seemed to get along just fine.

“So, lemme get this straight…” Max said, when Tera was explaining it to him, “you helped a teacher give birth, became a teacher and bought new shoes? Where do you find the time?” Tera smiled and waved the new white shoes at him, explaining that her old shoes were covered in the funny goo that comes out when someone’s water breaks. However, Max decided that was too much information for him.

“My play starts in a few weeks, Maxie.” Tera smiled, “you can bring Roxanne with ya; a play is always a good place to take a date to.” Max grinned and nodded, getting her to tell him a bit about the play. Despite her annoying, sexist co-star, everything was fine. The plot was interesting, and it wasn’t filling with grossly mushy romance.

“I think I have to kiss Tom once… so I’ll remember to bring my toothbrush to wash the taste out…” Tera gagged, laughing along with her friend, “well Max, I’m out… gotta get some sleep so I can get ready to go to Spoonerville Junior High in case I am the new teacher… see ya!” She smiled and was off, Max just staring off after her.

Max did wave, and sighed slightly. Tera seemed to be set financially for now… however, he wasn’t. He didn’t have a job, and his dad was now working two jobs to help keep Max in college and keep the house. Sighing, he decided it’d be better to get himself a job to help pay for his own education; that way, his dad could focus on keeping the house.

“Problem is…” Max mused, “where to get a job?”

House of Mouse makes an entrance next chapter! However, I have to fix it up a bit... can't have other Disney characters intermingling here... this isn't the Kingdom Hearts ficcie, although I have one in the works. ^w^
