Miriam
Miriam is my best friend. Not only is she my best friend she is my hero. Miriam has always been there for me since we met in the sixth grade. She is loyal, smart, funny, nice, has positive attitude, helpful, and devoted to whatever she does. She was the only one out of all my friends that helped me get back on my feet when the going got tough. She was all I had for a long time because everyone else didn’t want to talk to me and she knew deep inside I wasn’t what people thought I was.
Miriam and I met through our friend Natalie. Ever since then we’ve been inseparable. The only thing that was holding us back from seeing each other in school was our classes but that never stopped us making time for each. Miriam and I could talk on the phone for hours and hours. We would talk about everything; boys, school, friends, and enemies. If I ever had a problem I knew she would always tell me not to worrying about it instead and work on my school work. She always insured me that no one was going to hurt me and she would tell how to take care of my problem without adding other people into it.
The one thing that I love about her devotion to what ever she does. Her devotion to things is really great. I remember when she signed up for soccer last year she really wasn’t sure she wanted to do it. She really didn’t want play anymore during the middle of the season but she told me “I signed up for it and I got this far there’s no way I’m going to quit now!” It shows that she wouldn’t give up on anything even if she doesn’t like it. She’s the same about school. She sets her goals and works hard to accomplish them. That’s what inspires me!
For as long that I’ve known I Miriam I know she never gives up on anyone. Even if she is mad at you or you’re having a bad day she knows when to get you laughing and get you to be happy again. She never likes to see one of her friends sad. If anyone ever hurt me and Miriam found out about it she would ask me if I wanted her to get back at them! Even if I said no she would secretly plot revenge for me and then tell me all about it later she’d have it all planned out on paper.
Miriam is someone that will always be there when you need her and she will never leave your side. When ever you need her she becomes super Miriam and won’t let you go down alone. These 2 things I value the most about her, her positive attitude and devotion to whatever she does! That is why I choose my best friend Miriam too be my hero!
