What a weird morning...
My breakfast caught on fire. I was waiting for my bagel to come out of the toaster (and getting stuff ready so I could put cream on), when the inside of the toaster started glowing bright orange. Then the bagels caught on fire. It was pretty cool and just a little scary. I hit the "cancel" button as soon as I could, and the tiny flames died out pretty quickly. My dad figured out that two of the pieces of metal melted together, so he threw the toaster away.
I started Ranma 1/2 and FMA last night. Mom got me volumes 9 and 15 of Ranma 1/2 at the library yesterday. I read both of the books. Ranma 1/2 definitely has a sit-comish feel to it, as if nothing that happens really changes anything. It was pretty funny, but I don't like reading left-to-right, it doesn't feel as authentic. They also play on the boy/girl aspect a little too much; volume 9, I thought it was funny, but when I next read volume 15, it was like I was reading the exact same story as before. But all in all, it is okay.
FMA, on the other hand, is completely cool! Moony gave me the link last night to read it, and I read the first chapter (which is about 40 pages long). I really like the main character, Edward... so cool! So cute! I also like the concept of alchemy... and the random surprises that are made. I mean, he can change his arms into steel! How cool is that?! I still don't quite get what a chimera is, but I have a feeling I will know in time...
