A black tie event
One of the fun things about being a committee member of the local japanese language society is that you get invited to all these "official" japan-related functions where you get to dress up really spiffy, hob-nob with "distinguished" guests and gorge on japanese finger-food. This week, the local Japanese Consul General bids us farewell with the end of his posting here. I hope he takes back with him fond memories of his stay here.
