Waaah! Just like that!!

Oh my God! I've got the Shadow Hearts II artbook!! *starts rolling about on the floor hugging the book*

I got it from eBay (yes, slightly addicted now . . .) on Saturday and it came by yesterday! I am sooo happy you couldn't even believe!! I had changed my wallpaper to a cool Koudelka fanart, but it's gone back to Shadow Hearts II now in honour of the art book!

The artwork in it is absolutely phenomenal - it even tells you how to do the girls' hairstyles!! So much detail! I'm sure you're all going 'yay, get in! - a book!', but trust me, it IS exciting! Hehe.

Erm, I don't really have time to write any more, but I guess that's hardly a loss now, is it! I'll write again tomorrow! ^_^

See you all!

"Say yeah, if you feel the beat / I'm singing forever for you / I know you everything / I know everything / Right now, you need my tru voice!"

*Gets hit over the head with a totem pole for singing in public again*

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Shadow Hearts II (...)
Roger: (Mimics the gang running away from the forest where they crashed landed) "You were all like 'waaaahhh!'. Just like that. I've never seen anyone run so fast!"

Ho, ho, what's this?!
Not much time. ANOTHER fan art added. Dude wants me to drw a pic of Hilary underwater (?!). . . Card shop intersted in my art. Got moaned at by a customer because I didn't go to college. Got an unending obsession with eBay. Holiday's officially over . . . sigh!

Should write more tomorrow!! Bye!!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Tomyo (being stupid again)
Tomyo: "'Cause he loves the chocobo. . ."

We were playing FFIX - there's a story behind the quote but don't have time to go into it. It's sparked a new phrase in our house though . . .

Through the looking glass . . .

I'm suddenly a Fairy Fore fan!!

Hehe. I've known them for a while for singing the Beyblade 2002 theme, Jet, and more recently for the Final Fantasy Unlimited ending. I love those songs, but they have this tendancy to make me laugh 'cause they're so bright and happy. However, I'm now completely in love with a song of theirs called 'Child of Wizard'. It's nothing like the others I've heard. It has a vague essence of Luna Sea's 'Tonight' about it. I urge you to go find copy and listen to it!

Well, go on then . . . Oh, no, wait! Come back! I've added another piece of fan art! I'm on a bit of a roll at the moment! Hehe. Yeah, roll your eyes all you want but it's a Beyblade pic! Well, I was inspired--

As I mentioned, I got volume 6 of G Rev, and it's got uncut episodes on it like the previous one. But the exciting thing is that last episode on the DVD ends with the Kaze No Fuku Basho ending!! It was so amazing. I've seen all the other openings / endings (Go Ahead, Identified, Oh Yes, Sign of Wish) but I'd never seen that and it was an amazing bit of animation. The song is gorgeous and even provoked Tomyo into a giant Beyblade-loving mood. It brought her out of the depths of her Beyblade depression (don't ask!) So I was, and am, extremely happy!

Last thing, Jetix is finally showing knew Shaman King. Hoepfully now we'll be able to see the end!!

See you around!!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Fairy Fore 'Child of Wizard' (okay, technically a song lyric, but it's been stuck in my head all weekend!)
"Nandomo nandomo
Kimi ni aitakute
Bokura no fune ni kimichi wo nosete
Itsuka wa itsuka wa
Kimi to deaeru made
Bokura no omoi todokimasu you ni"

Go find it!!

I don't crave chocolate anymore - am I ill?
Hello! I'm all bright and sparkly this morning for many a happy reason! Such as . . .

1) I've just received volume 6 of Beyblade G Revolution from America - complete with uncut Japanese episodes! (Thanks Matraw . . . but grrr! Hehe.)

2) I've also just ordered the Shadow Hearts II Art book, and a Shadow Hearts II poster (a proper Japanese one) from eBay!! Dear God, I can't wait for those to arrive!

3) I'm still on holiday!

Hehe, okay, so I'm hardly living the best life in the world, but today I'm still very happy.

Although I was informed that someone had copied my painting of Rei (the one with the butterfly) and tried to pass it off as their own work by turning it into an Inu Yasha character. I wasn't best pleased I can tell you. I'm all for naming and shaming, and I think we should all go throw rocks at the evil culprit, Tigger. Grr.

However, a big thanks must go out to AiReS KaT 15 for telling me. ^_^

I'm hopefully going out now to buy a Kingdom Hearts SP. Well, technically Tomyo is (*faints in shock that Tomyo is actually buying something with her own money*). I might just buy some chocolate, or a paintbrush or something . . . I'm currently forcing myself to live in near poverty while I try to save up from a mass shopping trip in Nottingham. Since the advent of ebay, it's not been going that well . . . Meh, what can I do?

Anyway, I'd best be off now. And to re-iterate the message from yesterday, in case anyone missed the post (not that anyone would mind . . .) I've put up a new fanart, and there's a link at the bottom of my intro to take you to my gallery of random doodles. I forgot to mention that the 'mini manga' is over a year old, done when I was just learning how to draw Beyblade characters, so it's not very good >_<

Hehe, oh well, see you around!!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: King of Bandit Jing (for a change)
Jing: "There can be tears of sadness, and there can be tears of joy . . . But they are far from the same."

That line sounds so emotive when you're actually watching it and Shout it Loud is in the background. Awesome!

Hello again! Only me!
Yup, I'm back for a second helping. This is just to inform you that I've set up an image gallery on photobucket.com for my random pictures that aren't really right to put here. I've uploaded a few pics already, and various pages of my 'mini manga' (this isn't Bishounen Hunter, by the way ^_^)

You can also find some pencil sketches, a bizarre comic strip, some cute little pics of characters and the pictures that I've put in my posts.

It's not great, and it's only half-formed, but enjoy! There's the like to the right (I put it as my web page) or a link in the intro! But I warn you now, some of them are WAY crazy . . .

Bye, have fun and I'll see you tomorrow!

Bryan's Back!
Just a little note to say that I've just uploaded a new piece of fan art. Sorry to those people who keep asking me, it's not of either Kai or Rei, but a rather more unusual character. Of course, he's from Beyblade, and my choice may surprise and horrify you, but he's just so funny! Although I do think that's unintentional . . .

Bey-bye!

Having an Osaka moment . . .

Did you know that this is what I look like? Well, maybe a little older but still . . . Hehe. I kinda act like her as well, which is really rather worrying. For those of you who don't know, it's Osaka from Azumanga Daioh (just about one of the funniest anime there is!) It's kinda fitting that I resemble her . . .

Though it was odd when I noticed that this morning. I was just putting my make-up on and Osaka was just staring back at me in the mirror . . .

Odd start. Then again, when would you expect anything normal?!

Yeah, it is probably the pics that are slowing the page down, but I'm afraid you'll just have to bear with it 'cause I just like putting pictures up everywhere!! Heh. Sorry! *deep bow*

And I've just noticed that my nails are getting too long for comfortable typing. My fingers keep skidding off the keyboard. Oh well, you'll just have to put up with spelling mistakes as well!!

This wasn't really a post worth writing, but at least I made an appearance! I've gotta go now and pick up my Shadow Hearts II strategy guide from Gamestation (Yeah, I've already completed it with both endings, and done all the side / secret missions, but I just want merchandise!! So sad . . .) and then get back to work. Just three hours to go and then I get a week off! Yay!!

Hehe, I'm gonna sleep for an entire week!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Fawlty Towers (Odd choice this, but I was watching it last night and it really made me laugh. It's a classic English series from the seventies, starring John Cleese as a neurotic hotel owner!)

(A guest has just died in the hotel. Basil's trying to move the body when he's stumbled upon by the eldery Major. After discovering the dead guy he asks:)
Major: "Shot was he?"
Basil: (looks incredulous) "No, he died in his sleep."
Major: "Ah, well you're off your guard then."

. . . cont.

(After a lot of close calls and mishaps, Basil temporarily sits the corpse in the office, and an elderly lady walks in, sees him and faints. When Sybil comes in and sees the aftermath she asks why Basil put the body there. . .)
Basil: "Well, the safe was locked and all the drawers were full."

Hehe.

Shadow Hearts colour'd in blue . . .
. . . and then smashed into pieces.

I must have done something really shitty to have pissed God off so much!

You like? This was another random sketch at work. If you can't tell and let's face it, you probably can't 'cause he has no face and is vaguely drawn, it's Rei. Damn, no surprise there! Just thought I'd decorate my page a little!

Before I explain about the stuff I was rambling about in my previous post let me ask two questions regarding my Otaku:

1. Why does my page load so slowly? It's really annoying . . . Could it be because of all the pics I put on?

2. When I comment, what does the little blue square by my name mean? You know, it's got 'Gasara, senior artist, little blue square'. I can't figure it out . . . Ho hum.

Sooo, back to the bemoaning. You've probably guessed, or know if you've read Tomyo's site, that it was all to do with ebay. Yes, that was the catastrophe. In perspective, it seems really stupid, but to me and Tomyo, it's the end of the world. Well, kind of . . .

We (that is to say it was my money) were bidding on three Beyblade doujinshis. I managed to get one on sunday night, but the other two auctions didn't finish 'till 12:30 last night / this morning (about 4:30pm in America). And those were the two we really wanted. They were amazingly drawn, and one was a huge 80 pages long. The long and short of it is a bidding war started, and just as we were about to bid $200 (yeah, I know that's a crazy-ass amount of money for a manga . . . hehe, but you should have seen them) time ran out. This one person and us were really battling it out, but in the end we missed out on both of them. It was gutting, especially since we'll never be able to find them again. >_<

But anyway, we did still manage to get one. It's a 26 page doujinshi, no clue what it's about, only that Rei is topless in a hot spring, with his hair all twisted up on the top of his head (*swoon*!!). If anyone's interested, when I get it I'll see how viable it will be to scan it. But I won't risk it if it'll damage it. Oh, and in case you're interested, we got this one for a more reasonable $22 (which over here is £12 - less than my weekly bus fare to work!)

And thus concludes the drama.

Yeah, this is kind of a disturbing pic. Hehe. Another doodle at work, but this time I found coloured pens!! Hehe. Ooohh, I'm gonna get sacked . . .

That was a little random, but I thought I'd lighten the mood!! Still, I don't feel too bad. There was one point last night where Tomyo was a little upset and somehow turned into a slimy Silent Hill-looking monster (it was gross, don't ask). I think I'm just a little melodramatic!!

Hehe, oh well. I feeling like I've written an essay here, so I think I'll toddle off now.

I promise I'll try not to moan about anything next time. I'll see you Friday (day off tomorrow! Yay! Holiday next week! YAY!)

Bye!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Resident Evil Code Veronica X
Wesker: "Oh, little fishy, come see my hook."

There's more than a smidgen of innuendo there! And, in any case, is that really something the fearsome, evil Albert Wesker would say?! Hehe.

Does anyone actually read the subject . . ?
Aaaaagggghhhh! Have you ever had one of those moments where you're so nervous you just feel sick? And then when the moment passes, and everything's okay, you feel worse? . . . dear God, I'm having a week-long fit of anxiousness. By Wednesday I'll either be high as a kite, or sinking into mass depression . . . Nothing I can do but wait though, and it's seriously taking it's toll on me.

Sigh! (and Yae, as Tomyo often says) Oh well, I guess it's not that big a problem in the grand scheme of things, but to me it is!! I don't want to jinx anything, so I won't tell you exactly what's going on until it's over, but just to let you know it's nothing you need to worry over! Though, I'm fairly sure you wouldn't anyway!

So apart from that, my weekend was great. My older sis came over randomly, kidnapped us (me and Tomyo) and took us to the cinema with her fiance. We saw The Wedding Date - yep, they took me to see a rom-com, not usually my first choice of film - but I'll admit I did kind of enjoy it. I also ate so much popcorn they had to roll me out of the cinema . . . >_<

I've also been planning on spending loads of money - which I probably shouldn't, but will anyway. Thing is, I don't know if I can get the things I want. Yep, here comes the nausea again . . .

Dammit, I just feel awful, so I'll go now (not to mention the fact I have to actually get back to work now - grr) I'll continue to run around screaming for the next couple of days, and I'll hopefully be back to normal Wednesday, so see you then!!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Tomyo
(Tomyo threatens to put mom and dad in a old peoples home)
Tomyo: "Soon, you're not gonna be able to get up the stairs, and we're not getting a Stanna stair lift . . ."

My mom was laughing so hard, she fell over . . . It was one of those moments that you probably had to be there for. . .

Doodles, doujinshis, and dreams . . .

Ta-da! It's only a pencil sketch so I haven't put it in my actual fan art page, but I really like it so wanted to show it off!! Heh.

Yeah, that's what I did yesterday at work. It's odd that my boss let me, but considering the none-existant workload, she couldn't really say anything . . . It's been pretty much the same today actually - although I have now been entrusted with paperwork (enter rather sarcastic 'woo!' here). It sucks that they expect so much from me. No one else has to do all the important things!!

I guess it's nice that they trust me enough, but I don't get paid any extra for all the managerial work I now do . . . *sigh*

And to be honest, I could do with the money! I'm hoping to get a couple of Beyblade doujinshis, and I want to order the G Revolution soundtrack from Japan (I've found it for $60, so that's about £30-40 for me, and then of course there's the postage . . .) I'm so needy!

Oh, I watched Big O again last night! It was the Heaven's Day episode which I love. I always forget about that series, I mean, I never understood a word of it but it was still awesome. It was just nice to watch it again! I'm hoping that the ends of Rave Master and Shaman King will finally be shown soon. The begining episodes have just been repeated for ages and it's really annoying!

My stalker (affectionately known as stalker #3) keeps bugging me to go places with him, but to be honest I'd much rather hit him a couple of times with a spade. He may have been the reason I got to see Hellsing, but I wish he'd leave me alone! He keeps turning up at work as well, damn strange moron!! I just thought I'd mention that because I've got no one else to moan about that to at the moment! >_<

So now it's time to go again. I hope you all have a fun weekend!! I might unearth a couple of doodles to scan if I have time . . . I like decorating my site but have become a bit wary of stealing other people's pics as it's not really fair! But, come on, Japanese fan art is just the best / sexiest!!

Hehe! Bye!! I'll probably write tomorrow, but if not then Monday!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Shadow Hearts II
(After removing the iron mask from Roger Bacon)
Joachim: "He looks the same underneath!"

God, I love that game! And the Man Festival . . . "I don't like that shape!" Well, I do . . . ^_^
