Bored, Bored, Bored!
I'm so bored I want to stick pins in my eyes just for something to do! Work has been totally pointless- I've done absolutely nothing today but stand around, twiddling my thumbs! I think I actually died of boredom . . . yep, I am a zombie now . . .
I added a pic to this post 'cause Beyblade never fails to cheer me up! How can it not with the Go Ahead opening?! It's so bright and colourful, and that, coupled with the rather hypnotic (and somewhat hallucination-inducing) spinning beyblades makes for one hell of a pick-me-up. Also, the general Japanese weirdness it exhudes is also quite helpful . . .
Though, to be quite honest, It can't possibly beat Dai-Guard for sheer insane fun! "Baa ba ba ba baaa! Oh! Maku ga aite tobidashita tsuyoi arabu tamashii wa / Dare ni datte nani datte tomarare wa shinai no sa-" *gasara gets hit with a giant frying pan*
. . . okay, I'll stop now. I'm sorry you guys ("shproing and blammo!") are having to endure this weirdness, but I have to vent somewhere!!
And now that I have, I'd best be off!! If I have time tomorrow, I'll scan a pic that I drew today at work - as there was no actual work to do! - It's of Takao, which is a bit odd for me, but still!
Anyhoo, see you!!
QUOTE OF THE DAY: Dragon Hunter
(Seur-Chong and Goon-Chun are playing cards. With the help of Myung-Ho's clairvoyance, Seur-Chong is winning . . . However, Goon-Chun suspects and gets mad. Seur-Chong's nonchelant reply . . ?)
Seur-Chong: "Would you be so suspicious if you weren't losing?"
True question! Hehe.

"Kaeru yatokage ga konnichiwa"
Bonjour? Ca va? Bon!
I'm feeling somewhat French today (it's just a fleeting moment though . . .) Other than that I'm okay!
Just a random note about the pictures above: They're hopelessly random pics from Bishounen Hunter - as mentioned - so please don't steal them (not that I imagine anyone would! Heheh.) Yeah, it's meant to be Rei and Yuriy, and yes they are meant to be all sketchy-like. Tomyo had the paints out doing her art homework and I couldn't resist playing! They were the result!! Oh, and Yuriy is saying 'nani' because in the original Japanese version of G Rev, that's the only thing he says! It just made me laugh that's all . . .
Erm, anything else to say? I'm having disturbing flashbacks of snakes and scalping after last night's episode of CSI, but that's hardly interesting, either . . .
And the subject of this post is traslated as 'frogs and lizards say hello' . . . apparently. It's from Momiji's song in Fruits Basket. I love that series so much!! It kind of epitomises words like 'huggles' and 'kawaii' . . !
Anyhoo, I'm rambling like a loon, so I'd better go now. Hi-ho, Hi-ho, it's back to work I go . . . (*sigh*)
QUOTE OF THE DAY: Beyblade G Revolution (just for the sake of it)
Yuriy: "Nani?!"
Although, as exclaimations go, I do quite like Rei's 'Wha-? no way!' and his more Japanese 'Shimatta!' . . . Just a thought . . .

Oh Dear Lordy!!
Okay, so I'll warn you now that I'm gonna write endlessly about the Beyblade movie in this post. Sorry, but it's an undeniable fact that it is so totally worth the entirity of this little space here! Though, saying that, said little space doesn't really do justice to the amazing 71 minutes that I spent watching it last night. (Okay, so technically it was 142 minutes . . . I watched it twice ^_^)
It really is amazing. Those of you who live in America and don't already have it should be ashamed!! I imported it (Again, technically Matraw did - yay!) to this animeless isle of the UK just so that I could see it. I may have been desperate, but it was unimaginably worth it!
The Beyblade movie, like the Escaflowne one, is something that I'd never thought I'd see. But now I've seen, and own, both and it's things like that that make me love anime that little bit more.
In truth, I was really sceptical about the quality of the movie. I'd heard nothing about it really, other than the existance of dark versions of the bit beast in it - which on the surface sounds like a very cheesy fanfiction - and the fact that it cenres around Tyson and Daichi (it's original title of Takao Vs. Daichi giving nothing away there . . .) And obviously, it was meant as an introduction to G Rev, so it makes sense. And I have nothing against Tyson and Daichi, it's just that Rei and Kai are my faves. Granted, there was a slight absense of Kai in the middle, but the rest of it made up for that.
It was uncut as well, sayingwords like 'Japan', 'Die', and showing blood which was excellent. Whay can't they do that in the series? And there were many hints (Hehe, Tomyo!)
The animation was typically Japanese, there was a festival, and splitting watermelons on a beach. Yes, it was awesome!!
I won't spoil the plot for any who haven't seen it, but will say that it was very interesting. I urge you all to go buy / rent / steal this now. It will never have the following of the likes of Akira and Ghost in the Shell, but it remains one of my firm favourites!! Because I'm painfull sad!!
Somewhere along the way I turned into a journalist, so sorry about that - I just needed to vernt my love for it!! And now I don't have any time to write anything else . . . oopsie!!
So after that rather passionate, but probably boring post, I'll go!!
See you next week!
QUOTE OF THE DAY: Beyblade Movie (. . . what?! You were expecting something else?)

Bonjour! Je suis tres francais . . .
Does anyone else have a bizarre habit of mentally counting in French? I don't know why I do it, but it's weirdly instinctive . . .
I'm getting the Beyblade movie tomorrow - Yippee!! Hehe, thanks to the peeps who answered my plea. I now have a copy of 'Rise above the Storm', (and a German version of 'I'm not going down'?!). I'm still looking for the others though, if anyone can help.
Also, does anyone know where I can buy the G Rev soundtrack? It'll have to be somewhere that ships to lowly England. I really want that CD!
I've started watching One Piece. I actually find it quite odd, but I guess I like it. Granted, I've only seen two episodes so far, but I think I'll obsess over it eventually like I do with everything else!
I was also watching some random Shaman King last night as well. I love that show! And for some reason, watching anime whilst wrapped up in a giant knitted blanket and eating chocolate chip biscuits is like Heaven! Although, crumbs in the blanket is not so fun . . .
Only two weeks and I get a holiday! Yay! I'm being boring and not going anywhere, but a break from work is desperately needed (I haven't had one in eight months!!)
Anyhoo, I know I've just written a load of rubbish again, but at least I've vented. I guess my therapist would be pleased . . .
See you!!

Hai, konnichiwa!!
Hello, peoples!
Not much to write today as ever. I've finished chapter 2 of Bishounen Hunter, so that's a whole 50 pages complete now! I've also completed a further 40-odd pages for a random chapter and a half from the middle of the story. So, that's nearly a hundred pages I've drawn! Yay! Go Bishie!!
Hehe. I actually won some money on the Grand National! My horse came second, but I had it each way so I still got something back. I won - get this - £3.50!! Wow!! Hehe, okay, so I can hardly retire on it, but it still made me happy! Actually, it'll just about cover a day's bus fare . . .
Oh, I have a plea! If anyone has a copy of the three English Beyblade G Revolution songs, could you please send them to me (e-mail address is above). I'm talking about 'I'm not Going Down', 'Hang On' and . . . that other one that I've forgotten the title of. Oh, 'Rise above the Storm'. I know they're on a website somewhere, but haven't been able to find them as yet.
Also, if people could send me any screenshots of Tala (Yuriy), or and good Japanese fanart of him, that'd be great. I need some reference pics as I just can't seem to draw him!
Anyway, thanks. I've gotta go now 'cause I'm gonna be late for work!
See you!!
I'l quote next time - promise!

Craving Haribo . . .
Ain't that a cute picture?! Hehe. Actually, I've been bad as the picture doesn't belong to me. It was drawn by Makiko Takahashi for the amazing doujinshi, Utageya. I just kinda messed with it in Photo Editor . . . Please don't tell anyone I stole it!! But it's just so sweet . . .
Anyway, as I've been looking at doujinshi scans all morning, I'm in a Bishounen Hunter writing mood. I've nearly finished chapter 2 (yeah, yeah, I know - slow progress!) and all they've done is sit in a bar, getting drunk, and turning into puppets. Kinda. It makes sense if you read it, and it is actually good! Hehe.
The plot, or should I say future plot, is really good, too! Okay, so I'm being really big-headed about it, but I do really like it. And someone has offered to send a copy to someone in China to see if they can publish it or something. Obviously, it won't be able to be published because of the whole copyright issue, but the thought was nice. Not quite the Japanese market I was hoping for, but the country that Rei comes from can't be bad, can it?!
As a 'manga-ka' (Bye the way, I don't like that phrase. I think it makes people sound as though they think they're better than they atually are! Me? I know I just doodle, and if anyone likes it then it's a bonus!) I've got a rival. Matraw and his Bondage Pirates is set to challenge me! I'm scared of it, but at the same time it's kinda funny . . . but scary mostly! Hehe.
Erm, I'm really craving something sweet at the moment. Random point, really, but I can't really concentrate when all I'm thinking about is chocolate. *sigh* Methinks I've got an addiction.
Anyhoo, I'll have to go now that I've rambled on about nothing again. I'm eagerly awaiting the Grand National, not that my horse'll ever win! It's the only race I bet on / watch / care about, but every year I do get kinda excited by it. Tomyo won one year, so surely it's my turn now?
Heh. I also find it kinda funny that the country as a whole is more interested in a horse race than the marriage of our future king! Hehe. I think Ken and Deirdre's wedding'll have pulled more veiwers . . . Meh, I don't even really care - this is just rambling . . .
So, anyway, have a nice weekend and I'll see you next week!!
QUOTE OF THE DAY: Gravitation
Sakano: "Shindou-kun, Shindou-kun, Shindou-kun, Shindou-kun, Shindou--"
Random fact: Did you know that Sakano's voice actor also voices the one and only Boris in Beyblade G Revolution?
Hehe. That made me laugh for ages!

Damn stupid technology!!
Well, I haven't been around for ages because my computer wouldn't let me log in, but now I've sucessfully sorted the problem! Go me!
I don't have time to write anything, but I just wanted to let people know that, yes, I am alive!
Bye!
QUOTE OF THE DAY: Bishounen Hunter (^_^)
(Rei's ranting about Kai)
Jun: "Rei, it's not like you to be so negative about people."
Rei: "Actually, when talking about Kai it's fairly standard. . ."
P.S. Jun's the 'Bar Bishounen'!!

Twenty years old and still buying toys . . .
Hehe. I have Cloud!! That wonderful giant figure from FFVII that's just been re-released is currently sitting at home beside my Japanese transformable Escaflowne!! Life is good!!
Yeah, so I went to Nottingham on Monday, like I said, to spend all of my Birthday money, and it was so much fun! Of course, Tomyo nearly slaughtered everyone in sight when it was looking unlikely that we'd find the next volume of Gravitation. Luckily, we eventually did, and that served to sedate her while I went merrily buying things. I bought a whole heap of things (The rest of Gasaraki and Escaflowne on DVD, volumes of Dragon Hunter, Tsubasa, Card Captor Sakura, Legal Drug, King of Bandit Jing - Twilight Tales, Chronicles of the Cursed Sword, Gravi, a Hellsing soundtrack, Yuna's necklace and ring from FFX, a Japanese Outlaw Star artbook, the amazing Cloud Strife figure (£65 that cost!! Still, it was worth it!). On top of that I also got the Koudelka soundtrack from my older sis - Yay! It was an awsome, awsome day!
I also got some random prezzies off people - money, jewellery - so all in all it was a very cool birthday!!
Aside from that though, I also managed to complete Shadow Hearts II (with both endings) and so I was feeling a little emotional - well, I cried my eyes out!! It was so sweet, and sad, but so happy and perfect and . . and . . *sob* Dear God, it was just PERFECT! Oh, and Keith was in it!! That made me smile! Hehe. I found the art book on ebay and I want it so bad! I've got a tendancy to torment myself with ebay as their's always so much I want that I can't buy!! *sigh* Damn, credit-card-less me!
Hm, what else to say? Ooh, Resi 4's also awsome! Except, it's kind of like SOCOM meets House of the Dead - which is actually the bizarre weirdness I like!! Hehe. And Devil May Cry 3's out tomorrow - which I've pre-ordered because the people in GAME are just so damn good at their job!- so I'll just be playing on my PS2 / Cube all weekend. Oh, yeah, I have a nice, long weekend because of Easter, so I'm muchly looking forward to doing very little. Although, I think my sis might be coming to stay - probably as payback for messing up her house last weekend!!
Oh well! I'd best be off now. I need to go get some chocolate before my brain gives up altogether! Though I must mention that I completely love Beyblade, 'cause I don't think I've said that of late! Hehe.
See you around!

. . . Well, didn't see that one coming!
Dear God Shadow Hearts II is . . . is . . ! No, it's no good - I can't put into words how amazing it is. Whatever amazingly eloquent wording I use, and no matter how good I command the Enlgish language, it would still be unfitting to describe the sheer perfection of that game!!
HOWEVER . . . what was the Man Festival about?! I'm as open-minded as the next fan-girl - especially with living with Tomyo - but I really wasn't expecting THAT! Though, I guess I probably should have done after getting Joachim's ultimate armor. Just what was Keith doing with that anyhow . . ?
Well, at the mo, I'm at my sister's house. Tomyo and I are gatecrashing so that my older sis - lovingly known as G-Virus - can take us on a mass-manga shopping trip on Monday. Yes, that's right - my BIRTHDAY! I expect cards and chocolate from all of you. And a certain little Chinese neko-jin wrapped up with a cute little bow *swoon* And I've just been listening to Through the Night (Outlaw Star) which really confused me 'cause I'd kinda forgotten what it sounded like. Hehe. It's ace. But obviously not as good as Go Ahead (that's kinda become my motto, huh?!)
Anyhoo, best be off now as Tomyo's hovering over the computer like a vulture. Methinks she actually wants to go and watch the post-Man Festval scene again . . !
As for me, I'm gonna go and roll around the floor clutching Shadow Hearts II in a fit of glee - almost like a Japanese person with a Kumagoro-kun. Pikapika Shuichi!!
QUOTE OF THE DAY: Shadow Hearts II (Obviously!)
Yuri: (to Kurando after one of Anastasia's many rants) "It's Russia you're really after, right?!"
Oh! Almost forgot -I also got Resi 4 on friday, but it didn't stand a chance against Shadow Hearts, so it'll be played when I get back home. And I've gotta try and finish it within the week 'cause Devil May Cry 3's out next Friday. Dammit, March is expensive . . .

Roger's Back!!
I'm playing Shadow Hearts II. No more words are needed.
. . .
Okay, maybe a few more. It's AWESOME, incomparably perfect with the unrivalled excellence of Yoshitaka Hirota's music. I'm so happy!! And hopefully my older sis is getting me the Koudelka soundtrack for my birthday so I'll then be REALLY happy!! Hehe.
Erm, not much else to report. Oh, except a big thanks to all those who have commented on my pictures!! Too bad I haven't heard back from the peeps I drew them for. Maybe they hate them . . .
*sigh* I feel I need to go and vent this feeling of failure by bashing a wooden lion with a giant fish . . . I can't wait to get the Meiyuan stud card!! Hehe.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: Shadow Hearts II (are you really surprised?!)
Yuri: (on Roger Bacon) "He's kind creaky and broken down in places."
