Allchange
Hello! Well, it's all change around here! I sense this will be a pretty long post so I'll give you bullet points so you get the picture if you don’t want to read the whole lot! With no more ado, read on!

Ahem...

* I got the job!
That's the Christmas job I mentioned before. It's only for eight weeks but it'll give me a nice amount of money for Christmas. I start on Tuesday and I'm half-nervous, half-excited. The manager is insane. My interview was the weirdest thing I've ever experienced! She was just sitting there on an upturned box, eating biscuits and drinking tea while she complained about how much she hates customers... She really made me laugh! I hope it all goes okay...

* I've FINALLY added a new picture to theOtaku!
And yes, of course it's a Beyblade one! What else would I do for my comeback?! Hehe... It's of Yuriy and Boris and it will be the cover for RONGU Long Vacation. Please go take a look if you have time and please be nice! Here's some little bits of information about it that you might like to know: The book that Yuriy is reading is guide to Japan; There’s references to two Japanese vocalists in there somewhere..; It took roughly five-six hours to paint, I think; It's done in watercolour, but then I added pencil over the top. I think this technique is pretty unique to me...Heh. And that's about it! If you don't like it, that's fine but please don't tell me!!

* My doujinshi's very nearly done!
Well, that is to say that I finished the toning last night. I've got two more pictures to paint and some random little doodles to do before scanning it and doing the lettering. Now that I've got this job it's ruined my plan to get it scanned on Tuesday... Heh. Nay bother - I'll get it done soon. If you know any Beyblade fans who like doujinshi, feel free to tell them about it... Hehe. So cheeky _

* I'm addicted to Ghost in the Shell again!
And if all goes well, you should be able to tell that from my site. The plan is that it'll be Ghostie themed, but it'll probably go horribly wrong. Anyway, Tomyo and I have just finished watching Stand Alone Complex and it's just awesome! I went and bought Innocence on Monday, but it took us three days to watch it... It wouldn't play on either of our PS2s, and then in desperation we tried it on the DVD player that broke a few weeks ago... and it worked. But it stopped playing and broke again fifteen minutes from the end! I was so annoyed! I returned the DVD thinking that it was that that was faulty, but we had the same problem... Our PS2s are very temperamental (They only play certain DVDs), and I knew that but our newer one is getting worse... Anyway, we were frustrated so we decided to watch the original movie again. When it had finished I made Tomyo try Innocence again, and it randomly worked!! So we finally got to see the end three days later! It's awesome. I'm going to get 2nd Gig as soon as I can 'cause I'm just addicted! I love Section 9!! Heh.

* My Christmas doujinshi may still go ahead...
I really want to do it as it has been planned since about May last year! It's kind of a crossover with the one I did last Christmas, and there I two more I want to do over the next two Christmases to make up a set of four. It's pretty ambitious, but... So, I'm going to see if I can get started on it fairly soon, obviously after RONGU Long Vacation's finished! That's been a mammoth project and it's only 46 pages long... Heh. Anyway, if I do start it there's no way it'll actually be finished for Christmas but hopefully it'll be done soon after.

* I really love FAIRY FORE and Tomyo really loves Miyavi!
...there's nothing more I need to add to that.

Jeez, I'm such a fangirl... I often think what a sad loser I must sound like!! Hehe. Oh well, this is theOtaku after all! It's where I belong ^_^

I'll tell you one thing for free...

... this layout won't last long ^_^

Hehe, I really don't know what to do with my site. Hm, I'm just a bit rubbish when it comes to things like this! Hey ho, I'll sort something out eventually!

The doujinshi's going great at the moment. I've only got six pages left to tone! Tomyo's become my assistant now, so I feel quite professional! Haha! That couldn't be further from the truth!

Anyway, after the toning's done, there's three pictures I have to paint, then I have to scan it all and do the lettering (which takes ages and is ridiculously boring!) and then upload it. So, theoretically, it should be up by the end of October... Which is only about four months later than originally planned! Oopsie...

I've got an interview on Tuesday - It's only working part-time in a card shop over Christmas, but that'll do me ^_^ I hope I get it, but knowing my luck... Anyhoo, I'm gonna keep looking for something better to come up but there doesn't seem to be much around at the moment. I love where I work now but I just don't earn enough. It sucks! Heh..

There's not much more to add, really. I watched 'About a Boy' the other night - that was really funny! I also watched 'Millions' last night. It's awesome, you should all try to see it. It's about two brothers who find a bagload of stolen cash. It's sweet, funny and completely uplifting. Go see it!

And I'm still playing Kingdom Hearts II. I'm trying to do all of the missions but some of them are a pain! I'm really rubbish...

Well, that's me done for the day, anyway. I'm gonna faff with my site some more now and try to do something I like!!

Does anyone have any suggestions? No, I'm not sure what to do either... It probably won't be complete until about Saturday... Oh well!

*Yawn* Sleepy...

Hello all! I've been applying for jobs left, right and center this morning... My eyes have gone fuzzy from staring at the computer for so long...

I've ended up applying for a fair few Christmas temp. jobs which I don't really want but... Well, I want some more money before Christmas! After all, it's not that far away now!! ^_^

That comment will probably excite a few people, and rile the rest! Oh well... You should know me by now.

I managed to tone four pages of my doujinshi yesterday - which was quite an achievement for me! I'm convered in bits of grey screen tone, and it's all over the carpet and everywhere... It's so messy! Fun, though. It's really fun when listening to Gackt's Crescent album. Toning and Gackt is my idea of Heaven!! Haha!

I don't suppose I'll do much when I get home tonight. I'm tired... I've got to watch Brotherhood (the Korean war film) that I taped last night. I started watching it and it was awesome, but it was on late and I decided that I wouldn't be able to survive on three and a half hours sleep if I watched it all... Damn early mornings!!

Oh, Naruto and Full Metal Alchemist are on tonight, too! Yay! I love my anime fix! I've not really been watching much lately... That saddens me. There's not been a lot on TV so I've simply been watching a load of Oriental films instead. Not quite the same though...

Anyway, I've got to go. I'll write again as soon as I can, but until then I'll leave you with a quote! Night night!

Hello peoples!! I've not been here in a while, have I?

Hm, speedy update:

I'm currently looking for a new, better-paying, job. There's so little available at the moment so it's not going too well... I also don't want to end up with a Christmas job only to be unemployed in January >_< I'm working hard, though!

As a result, I'm not at home that much so my doujinshi has been left in the capable hands of Tomyo! She's being my assistant (Yay! I have an assistant! Hehe!) at the moment. I've drawn it all out and am working on the toning at the moment. I've taught Tomyo how to do it, and I've been leaving her instructions each morning about where to tone, and what screentone to use. It's fun!

It was meant to be up in the middle of summer as it's a summer story, but the delay means that it won't be up for a few more weeks yet... and I'm not sure if I'll have time to do the Christmas one I'd planned... wah.

Tomyo and I are playing Kingdon Hearts II at the mo. It was released on Friday over here and we've been on it non-stop. It's absolutely awesome!! I knew it would be, but it's still taken my breath away..!

Other than that, I can't think of anything to write... Hm. Tomyo loves Miyavi? Is that worth mentioning..? Might have been if it weren't so damn obvious! Hah!

FILL IN!! A MATCHBOX!! AND A SIGNED PHOTO!!

Yes, The Stuff has arrived!!

Yesterday, after three and a half months waiting, I finally recieved my shipment of FAIRY FORE stuff!! It's all excellent, but expecially their early demo tape, FILL IN!

I told you before that I was really upset because my order for that was cancelled. Well, it still arrived! And with a FIR~REFORLE (FAIRY FORE's band name before they were signed.) matchbox, plus a signed photograph of them!! The photo's awesome!! Takashi has blue hair ^_^ Not only that, though, it is an actual photograph - not a print. It's got 'fujifilm' on the back of it! It makes me smile that it was literally deveoloped just like any other photo from a roll of film. It makes it so special!!

Anyway, I've just turned the tape into mp3s!! How clever am I?! My head nearly exploded trying to figure out what little hole thing to put the plug in and what button I was supposed to press to get the sound coming through the line in hole thing.... I'm useless with things like that! But I still did it!! Go me!!

....ahem.

I've got to dash now. Oh, and let me just say sorry for not being around. We had a tragedy in the family so things have been a bit difficult this past week. I'm okay though...

It's my anniversary!!

I celebrated my two-year anniversary at work today! Yay! I've had so much fun working there that it's just flown by! My boss (Well, she's more of a second mom, really - she's such a wonderful person and treats me like one of her own family) bought me a Hello Kitty plushie ^_^ So sweet! She may be sixty, but she's well aware of my all-encompassing love for Japan / China / Korea and knows just what I'll like... So happy!!

Other than that, I finally got confirmation that my bundle of FAIRY FORE things are being shipped! Big Yay!! There's some old videos and CDs and clippings and things - Oh, and the Sweet Trance 2002 DVD (*squeal* I'm such a fangirl!! Haha) ^_^ Can't wait for them to come!! Still no luck with the demo tapes though - Boo~~! I'll keep trying, though!

Well, I'd better go now. My dad's picking me up so I'd better not be late. He's applied for a new job and I really hope he gets it - He deserves so much more than what he gets now. Keep your fingers crossed.

Oh, and my mom's just painted the living room, and is now playing Lego Star Wars on the PS2. She's counting down the days until the second one is released!

I love my family!! ^_^ Hehe, we're all a little bit strange! ("A little bit...?!")

Gah! My computer ate my pendrive!!

Hello!

Just a quick message today. Can't stop long because I'm in the middle of trying to release my pendrive from the computer! All of the Publisher files I've saved on my pendrive are playing up - and unfortunately these happen to be my doujinshi files... >_< Just when I thought I was getting close to finishing it... Sigh!

Other than that, though...

Tomyo passed all of her AS levels! I lied in the previous post and said she was was getting her GCSE results... I forgot she took them last year! Anyway, she passed the four that she took - Art, English, Psychology and History. She even got a B in English! That's so funny! If you read her site you'll probably understand why I say that! ^_^

I'm so proud of her!

And yes, it's her birthday tomorrow! She wont shut up about it!! I've bout her, amongst other things, a Miyavi photobook which I'm just as desperate to read! It arrived this morning so I'll have to wrap it up later... Mmm, Miyavi...

I was going to dedicate this little section to the news about my doujinshi - I've started drawing the final drafts, and it's looking pretty good - but since that happened my pendrive was eaten so I've got to re-scan all the pages to figure out where the lettering is going before I can draw anymore, and I won't be able to do that until next week now... Waah!!

Right then! I'm off! I'll try and post again next week.

Like the changes?!

Hehe... So my site's back to the way it was in the first place! I do love this picture though, and the colours are pretty - even if I say so myself ^_^

Yeah, I know, I'm just lazy... I will change my site at some point - I really want a FAIRY FORE one - but I'm rubbish at making wallpapers. If anyone feels like making me one, I can send you wonderful pictures to use!!

I'm listening to Sei no Nobita Shounen at the moment. It's the b-side to FAIRY FORE's Darling single. They only released 1000 copies so it's really rare, and as expected I don't actually have a copy but an very nice Internet friend who does own it (grr...) was lovely and sent me an mp3. It doesn't seem really worth mentioning, but it's just such a cool song and I really do love FAIRY FORE - have you noticed? ^_^

It's Jayme's, that is to say Tomyo's, birthay next Sunday. We went to Nottingham on Monday to go and buy some of her presents, and she spent and cost me a fortune!! I'm so poor!! And it took me ages to wrap everything. Still, I'm pretty sure she'll have a good birthday. Oh, my little Smidgelet (don't ask!) is growing up!!

Probably more important, though, is that she gets her GCSE results on Thursday! I don't think she's really that bothered though -_-' She should be! Wish her luck!!

Oh, I re-fell in love with Cast this morning! They were the first band that I ever loved, and really made me love music so much. They were fairly big at the height of the Brit Rock scene in the mid-nineties (along with the likes of Blur, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, the Seahorses, Shed Seven etc..) John Power (the lead singer / guitarist) had such a strange, almost gravelly voice, and a really thick Liverpudlian accent. The closest I've ever come to hearing a voice remotely like his is Takashi from FAIRY FORE...

Anyway, I put on their third album, Magic Hour, this morning and just swooned!!

I've just been trying to find an mp3 or video for you to watch / listen to... Oh! I've found Walkaway - this is probably the song they're known for. It's really sad - you MUST listen to it! This is from their first album, All Change - release way back in '95.

Is it breakfast time yet?

Hello! I'm feeling peckish... and tired. And, come to think of it, I don't really have anything to say. Again.

Hmm... I managed to get through the difficulties with my 'doujinshi'. I've just got two or three pages left to draw and then the rough draft is complete! And I've pretty much already drawn out the front and back covers - and as soon as I paint these I'll upload them on theOtaku. Yay!!

I really need to sort out my site now. My background disappeared a little while ago so I think it was a sign that the design needs a complete overhaul! I don't know what I want it to look like, though? Any suggestions?

Hmm, I leave you to ponder over that while I go in search of screen tone... Have a good day!!
