Hello people! I have a craving to write on myOtaku today! Does that seem weird? For me it probably does...
I don't really have much to say, though. I'm acting manager at work today (ah, responsibility). As a 21-year old anime fan who watches Beyblade, I don't feel quite mature enough to run a shop! Hehe... Still, I guess I'm good at it! I've been running the staff ragged this morning ¬_¬ So evil..!
Actually, I do have a bit of a problem. There's a really thick metal drainpipe going down the side of the building, and when I got to work this morning it was bent and the bottom part is hardly attatched the to wall... It's doesn't look like it's going to fall off but... And of course, I tried to phone the manager but she's not picking up the phone >_< Why do these things happen to me?! Hehe...
As for my 'doujinshi', I ran into a few problems last night... I'm nearly at the end of the rough draft, and I gave the latest page to Tomyo to read and she said it was 'nearly like fanfiction'. Which, in our terms, means it's cheesy, sentimental and the characters are nothing like they should be. So I was angry (and really upset >_<)... and then she tried to take it back, but I was already wounded and couldn't bear to use the pages that were like that...
Anyhoo, I probably won't tell her this, but she's completely right! So I've scrapped the original plan, changed the end, and while I was working the till this morning I drew a kick ass picture for it that I might even paint and put on theOtaku!! Mwahahahahahahaha!!!
Ahem. It annoys me that she was right though!!
Alas, after that slight pointless post I should probably go. I have to let the morning staff go home and wait for the afternoon people to turn up (though they're usually late!). I did get to eat cake at work this morning though, so that was nice!!
Oh well, have a nice day!
P.S. And in response to a question people are asking: Don't know. I haven't decided whether I'm going to put my 'doujinshi' straight onto the internet yet. I'd like to try and find some way of printing it first. But I will definitely upload it at some point. You just might have to be a little patient ^_^ Comments (3) |

It's me! It's me!
Hello again!!
I'm currently baking to death in my bedroom whilst watching a DVD of Miyavi's 'Ore-sama dare da' concert. Thought you might like to know that...
It's brilliant, by the way. I've been turned into a huge Miyavi fan recently. I first took note of him when I was 'reading' an issue of Fool's Mate and noticed he had a song called 'Girls, be ambitious' - and I got to wondering whether it had anything to do with FAIRY FORE'S song, 'Boys, be ambitious'. I went a-searching, watched the 'Girls, be ambitious' video and realised it was absolutely nothing like 'Boys, be ambitious' whatsoever!! However, if you¡Çre wondering 'Girls, be ambitious' was released in 2002, whereas FAIRY FORE released 'Boys, be ambitious' (as a demo tape) way back in 2000. Ergo, Miyavi is clearly a FAIRY FORE fan!! ^_^
Tomyo's not gonna like that comment...
Anyhoo, while I'm on about FAIRY FORE, I'm waiting for NEVER LAND's mini album to arrive. They released it last year but I'm a bit slow... Akihide - NEVER LAND's lead singer - used to be FAIRY FORE's guitarist, but then left to front his own band. And they're fantastic. They've just released a new single, Sunset, and the first track, 'Yuuyake Melody' is just gorgeous!! Unfortunately I can't find that to buy anywhere (waa!). My point? Don't really have one here, just that I also love NEVER LAND and that Akihide's looking mighty fine... ^_^
Oh, and if you've got nothing better to do, or just want a laugh, you can go take a nosy around my FAIRY FORE site. It's nowhere near finished, but the profile page is worth looking at - so many sexy men! Hehe...
And get this! I'm actually drawing my Beyblade doujinshi at the same time as doing my site!! Usually I obsess over one of them for a bit, then turn to the other, but at the moment I'm doing both! Go me! 'RONGU Long Vacation', as it's called (which literally means ¡Ælong, long vacation') now has 30 pages!! Doesn't really sound much, I know. But my other doujinshi - the one that's posted on my Fan Art site linked above - was only 21 pages long... well, the main story, at least. And I own a Beyblade doujinshi by Majinko Paradise that's only 8 pages long, so in comparison..! Wouldn't expect it anytime soon, though. I've only drawn the rough draft and that's not even finished!! Still, it must be done soon as it's meant to be a summer story...
Erm, what else to mention...? It's Tomyo's birthday soon... Well, when I say soon, I mean that Tomyo keeps going on about it but it's really at the end of August!! And from the sound of it, she wants Miyavi's entire back catalogue as a present -_-; You should all go over to her site and tell to stop being such a bad little sister and pressuring poor old Gasara! It doesn't help that it's also my older sister's birthday two days after hers... I really will be poor...
Well, what a J-Rock-ish post! Let's see if I can think of anything else before I go... The condensed last few weeks of Gasara: Replayed Resident Evil Nemesis, played Glass Rose - one of the universally regarded worst games in history, but I absolutely loved it, bought a pendrive, bought a copy of the first book I fell in love with (I read it way back in 1998 and it's taken me this long to buy it! Hadn't read it since I left school in 2001 but it's still as good as I remember!!), managed the shop where I work on the actual managers days off, bought 3 Utageya Beyblade doujinshi, had a week off and lounged about for the whole of it, went to the cinema to see Jet Li's Fearless (a film I first heard about when it was just out in China from seeing the pv for the theme song by Jay Chou), bought the Initial D film - with Jay Chou in it, as well as Edison Chen, Shawn Yue, Chapman To and Anthony Wong ~ wonderful peoples!!, and danced around in the garden like Miyavi...
I've probably done other things but they're escaping my memory ^_^
And that's about it! I should probably stop bothering you all now!! I'm gonna go and get a beverage because it's sooooo hot! It's 10:42 at night and all of the windows in the house are open but it's still suffocating!! I don't like the heat... Roll on Autumn!!
See you!!
QUOTE OF THE DAY: Beast Cops
(Anthony Wong to Sam Lee's character, Sam - Sam realises Tung is trying to swindle new room-mate Mike out of rent)
Tung: (while wafting a hand in Sam's face) "You can't work it out."
I guess it's one of those things you have to see for yourself!! Just thought I'd add it as I haven't done a quote for a while! Enjoy!!
Hmm... no idea...
Hello! Well, you wouldn't believe it was June!! How English of me to be talking about the weather, I know, but I just can't believe how grim it is. I came out to work this morning in pouring rain, and now it's cold and windy and altogether not very pleasant!!! Still, I be home in front of a nice warm fire soon... ah, bliss!
So, how's everyone? I'm becoming horribly unreliable nowadays, aren't I? I just have so much limited time on the internet - and I'm usually only using it for work at the moment >_< - that I often do get to check how people are doing. Please don't hate me!! I want to be on the internet more, trust me!! If anyone wants to send me bundles of money so I don't have to work anymore, that would be nice ^_^
Oh, and as for my website that I mentioned before... well. I'm an idiot. I've found an idiot-friendly host but I still don't really know what I'm doing!! I actually want to find a better host, even more idiot-friendly if possible, so if anyone can direct me to somewhere, that would be good too! Cheap but decent - that's what I want!! Hehe... I never want much, do I?!
I've been ordering LOADS of FAIRY FORE things from Japan these past few weeks (ah.. so that's why I never have any money...) so I'm pretty excited about them. I managed to get hold of a demo tape, and some really old releases from before they were signed so I'm really stupidly happy about that!!
My powers of drawing have abandoned me at the moment. You may have noticed (I haven't uploaded anything in ages...). I'm trying to get round to drawing something but... well, the World Cup's on!!
By God, England have made it to the quarter finals!! And we have been playing absolutely rubbish!! Poor Michael Owen!! But you have to give David Beckham credit for throwing up on the side of the pitch just after scoring and then just carrying on playing!! Bless...
I've been watching pretty much every match, and my fave so far was definately Portugal v Holland. A total of 20 yellow cards and 4 sendings off. That was entertainment! The ref was a madman!! At least Portugal have lost some of their men for the match against us on Saturday... hehe.
And with that, I'll go - 'cause I'm about to miss my bus!!
Hello! Hello!
I'm full of the joys of spring!! Oh, are we in summer already..? I've been away so long I've lost track of the time...
Hello! How are you all? I hope everyone's doing great. As for me, I'm fine - in a rush again, but fine!
Here's a brief update: I'm working on a new Beyblade doujinshi - "RONGU Long Vacation". It's still in the sketch stages so it'll be a while to completion yet...
I'm also making a website dedicated to FAIRY FORE. It's basic and a bit rubbish, but I'll let you know when I'm done just in case you want to have a look!
And with that pointless post, I have to go.. I'll try and update at the weekend but... well, you know me!
O! Woe is me!!
Hiya all... I'm having a rubbishy morning!!
Just thought I'd get that off my chest. I ache all over from working yesterday - I bascially just moved heavy bags and boxes for six hours, and I am such a girly wimp! I'm cold, and it's raining, and I just want to go home... Waahh!!
Apart from that I guess I'm OK. ^_^
I don't have anything to really say though, I just wanted to moan a little. It seemed a better idea than punching someone - which I am sorely tempted to do! Ha ha! I sound like such a thug! I'm not though, honestly! ¡¦¡¦
I had fun paying my credit card bill this morning! It means I can buy more now! Heh. I don't like spending too much on it at once, so I buy things, pay it off completely then buy more! It's a system that seems to be working well... However, half of the crazy Japanese things I want you just can't get at all anyway. Sigh...
Oh, I've made myself miserable again! Oh well, I'm gonna go and find some cake to eat or something, I think... Have fun! Oh, I know how you can do that... Here's a treat for you! Fairy Fore's "Vivid" video! It's hilarious! Takashi's acting like a woman again! And look at the chocobos!!!!
Firstly, let me say sorry for not visiting sites that much lately. I haven't seem to have had time to get by everyone, so please forgive me if I haven't got round to you yet. Things have been hectic...
The reason for this post is just to say that I've finally uploaded the pic of Ed that I mentioned a few posts ago. Please go and take a look at it! If you don't like it for some reason, please don't bother commenting on it. You are welcome to your opinion but I don't really think it's necessary to publicly hack someone's work to pieces. Thanks ^_^
I had a great birthday on Tuesday. It was a strange, strange day... Random family members kept turning up at the house all day, so it was pretty manic with so many people around! I also did the traditional Nottingham shopping, trip which was fun! I bought, amongst other things, the "Cloud on Bike" (as it's affectionately known here) figure from Advent Children... It's really cool. Hehe... I'm such a sad geek.
Anyhoo, sorry I don't have anymore time today but I have to go and faff with some drawings that I'm slowly turning into a mini (I mean mini - about four pages) doujinshi -if it's fair to call it that... So, I'll take my leave now!! Have a good weekend!! Comments (2) |

Wow, I'm corrupting you all...
Who would've thought I could corrupt people into liking Fairy Fore?! My sister just laughs at them... Hehe.
Well, here's an odd fact. You know how I said I ordered their DVD, Spice Shower? Well, I ordered that about 11am Wednesday, and by Thrusday night it was in England - bearing in mind it was coming all the way from Japan. However, it's now Saturday and I still haven't recieved it! It makes me laugh that it took a day to get it from Japan to England (specifically, Coventry, which is about 20 miles away from where I live) but it's taking a lot longer that that to get it 20 miles through England to my house! The postal system is rubbish! Hey ho... Just as long as it comes!
I've not been up to much since I last wrote. I've just had the week off so I've been lazing about the house a bit, playing Seven Samurai 20XX (and screaming at postie every time he walked past my house without Spice Shower...). It's actually been really nice. Of course, I have been doing the housework as well! I scrubbed the kitchen to death on Thursday, even having to get a chair to stand on to clean all of the shelves and on top of the fridge and stuff... My mom has trained me well!!
I don't think I'll be doing much more of that though. I'm getting to old... Hehe. Thanks for all the reassuring comments concerning my youth! I just sometimes feel like I haven't really done much with these 20 years of mine. I'm having a great time at the moment with the strange things I've been doing, though, and I just hope it continues!
I'll just respond to Solo Tremaine while I'm here (Forgive me for not visiting you site). Which Fairy Fore album? Well... Heaven's Market has both Vivid and Love Sick on, so that's a good choice. It also has the awesome School Days, which is a really angsty song and a huge departure from their Vividness!! Then again, you could just buy them all... Yeah, that's the best thing to do!! ^_^ By the way, "cool"?! You flatter me something terrible, Mr Solo... I'm positively blushing!
Righty-o, I'm off now. I'm gonna sit at the window watching for the ParcelForce van... I don't have a video for you today I'm afraid, so just keep watching the Love Sick one instead!!
Hello, people!! I'm sorry that I abandoned you! I didn't mean to just disappear like that, though it is slowly turning into a nasty habit of mine, isn't it... Gomen ^_^
So, how have you all been? Well, I hope. I'm not doing too badly myself. I've been approached by a company in the town where I live to do some artwork (or something) for a DVD they're producing. Quite an honour really, especially as they've seen my work and still asked me! Hehe..
Speaking of, I've done another picture that's waiting to be scanned ("Only one picture in all that time you've been away? Lazy sod!"). It's of Ed Elric, someone I'm sure you all know - not quite as obscure as I usually do!
And quite a nice link there, too. I love obscure things - Shadow Hearts, Beyblade, Dragon Hunter, and the wonderful, wonderful band, Fairy Fore. They've done openings/endings for a few anime (Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children, Beyblade 2002, and Final Fantasy Unlimited). The video in the post below is for their single, Love Sick, which was the SMT opening. Or ending... I forget. Anyhoo, today I ordered their live DVD, Spice Shower, which I have been absolutely DYING to get. I finally found somewhere that was selling it, and fingers crossed now that it comes!!
Erm... what else can I ramble about? I heard from an old school friend I haven't seen since I finished school nearly five years ago, so that was a really nice surprise! He hasn't changed a bit, bless him! We're maybe gonna meet up sometime soon and recount the days of endless cookery lessons and strange Maths teachers... should be fun! Actually, though, it just really brings home just how OLD I'm getting! I'm gonna be 21 in two weeks!! (That's the 21st March, in case you want to go ahead and get me something! Hehe... I'm a cheeky git ^_^) I still look like a 16 year old, and let's face it, I don't think anyone thinks I act much older!! Hehe.
I think I'd better go again now... I'll try not to keep it so long between writing next time ^_^ Though to be honest, I haven't been using the computer that much really... excuses, excuses.
Here's a little present though, a sort of gift to say "sorry, I'm so lazy". This is a video clip from the Sweet Trance gig in 2001. It's an awesome thing, a whole group of Japanese bands singing Stand By Me. There's Psycho le cemu, Pierrot, Plastic Tree, La'cryma Christi, Fairy Fore and Waive performing. Keep an eye out for my adorable Takashi from Fairy Fore (He's the one in the red jacket singing the second verse, and skipping round the stage holding hands with the lead singer of La'cryma Christi). Enjoy!!
I'm just dropping by to wish everyone a really awesome Christmas and New Year!! I'm really excited 'cause I know some of the presents that I'm getting and REALLY can't wait for them - like my super deformed Al Elric cushion!! Tomyo's getting the Ed one and they are hilarious!!
Anyway, I'm afraid I can't stop and chat so, once again, hope you all have a great time at Christmas, and I'll see you all after!
