It's Christmaaaaas!
Woo! The Crimble decs are up!! Erm, for those of you who don't speak my particular English brand of English, here's a translation: "Oh my, how delightful! Our humble residence is now draped in the most festive of ornaments." Okay, we put the decorations up yesterday, tree and all. We came to the age old conclusion of 'there just isn't enough fairy lights' and I did the traditional getting a pine needle stuck in my foot. Yup, I'm feeling very festive!!
Whilst decorating, we were listening to the 'tradition' music of Christmas. Slade, Wizzard, East 17, the Pogues, Wham! . . . There's nothing better than really cheesy Christmas songs! Well, anything's better that Avid whats-his-name's Proper Crimbo, but I am likin' The Darkness' effort. (complete with mock-cheesy 'come on, kids!')
Oooh, and there's snow forecast for this weekend. Kamamaster, I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Of course, they also said there might be massive power cuts too . . . that'll suck.
RANDOM QUOTE: Escaflowne
Allen: "Gaddes, prep the Crusade."
Oh, I have to say thanks to Beyblader who keeps making me smile! Lots of Rei! Hehe. Acutally, I thinks that I'm gonna search high and low for a Driger 'blade! I mean, I won't use it but I want one! Tomyo's got a Dranzer!! (How much of a spoilt child do I sound! Hehe!) Oh well, I just want to have a match in a wok and see if it really is that fun!
RANDOM QUOTE: Escaflowne
Allen: "Gaddes, prep Scharezard."
Not as in the pokemon. Oh, hehe, I'm learning about Dragonball!! You see, on Toonami (the Cartoon Network sister Channel) at night, the schedule goes, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, Gundam Wing, Tenchi, Outlaw Star (it is a very cool line up!) and we always watch Gundam, although we've seen every episode about twenty times - same goes for Tenchi and Outlaw Star too! Anyway, we always catch the end of GT, and although I'm not really into Dragonball at all, I'm finding it fun trying to work out who the hell everyone is! I know Goku (Kirby Morrow does his voice in Z! So knowledgable!), Vegeta, Trunks, Pan, Gohan, Goten and Bulma! Oh, and Garlic - funny name! But, how are they all related?! Aren't they all their own uncles, and brothers, and mothers and everything! Still just don't get it . . .
Eesh, and I was horrified to learn something else this morning! I've mentioned before my hatred for Kinnikuman: Ultimate Muscle, but have I ever mentioned my hatred for . . . Yugi-oh! I know people will hate me for that admission, but let me explain. It's the card game. How is it exciting? You just have to except the outcome cause you don't know what cards are in the deck. If Yugi pulls out a super, duper, ultimate death card, you just kinda hafta go 'oh'. . . Anyway, that's not the point. What I wanted to say was the voice actor group behind Ultimate Muscle, is the same one used for Yugi-oh, and that means that it's the Shadow Hearts voice actors!! My wonderful Yuri Hyuga (that's the SH character name, by the way) is acting in Ultimate Muscle AND Yugi-oh! Nooooooo!
Just needed to let that out. Oh, and no offence intended to Yugi-oh fans, I just don't get it, is all. Sorry.
Moving swiftly on . . . I listen to a digital radio station called The Storm. It plays a load of rock, alternative and indie music (which are just the best kinds of music) and they're having a poll - which is better, British or American rock? I'm a bit stumped. I've always loved my mid-nineties Britrock (the likes of Suade, Blur, Cast, Ocean Colour Scene, The Seahorses, Pulp . . .) but recently . . . Basically, it comes down to Muse V Red Hot Chili Peppers. Muse kick ass, totally, but I just love the Chilis. So, on the advent of Go Ahead, I've decided that Japanese rock . . . rocks. Anyone agree? And, I even really love J-pop. And I hate pop music! I think Japan's just better! Hehe.
Hm, that was a pointless little ramble. Oh well. Best be off now, still more prezzies to buy! Wish me luck with the crowds. Au revoir! Hm, feeling French today . . .
QUOTE OF THE DAY: 'Alien Princess' - Window Post (tehnically, it's a song lyric)
"You though you were clever/ but I could see your brain/ it was small and foul and you were so insane/ then you tongue came out and it seemed so very wrong/ it was thin and wriggly and at least ten foot long! / cause you're an alien princess/ yeah, your flesh is all skinless/ your my inside out woman, yeah/ Yeeeaaaaahhhh!"
