Hatshepsut was born ti Thutmose1 and queen Ahmose or Ahmose and Amun-Re, depending on who you ask. She was married to her 1/2 brother
Thutmose2 so he could be king,(in egypt the hier had to be married to 1 of the kings daughters to make his claim ligit)Thutmose1 ruled for 14yrs, during that time he noticed his wife was a bit to ambitious for his tastes so he named his son by a concubine(Isis) his hier.The boys name was Thutmose3(ceative much)When Thutmose 2 died Hatsshipsut became regent to Thutmose3 and proptly "barrowed" his thrown for about 20 yrs Becoming ruler of the most powerful empire in the world at the time. She dressed as a man, betterd trade relations, built/restored temples, kept the peace,found true love(Senmut)until she"disappeared" in 1458 B.C and Thutmose 3 took the thrown and tried to erase her from history while kicking ass and expanding Egypt's empire.
