AWAKENING
Awakening from pain-haunted slumber
To stare at the black rain staining the window, the black-blood tears staining my cheeks
Joined by devils that haunt the night in the shadow of a waning moon
Rising from a hazy reality and mists of antiquity
From diseased imagining and shattered illusions
In tainted innocence and endless longing
in a battle beyond hope
A prayer to a God unknown
