1. During the Middle Ages, you could be accused of witchcraft if your pets disobeyed you.

2. The oldest known golfish lived to 41 years of age, and was named Fred. (heh... I had a goldfish, it didn't even last a day)

3. The first product to have a barcode was Wringley's gum.

4. There are more bagpipe bands in the US than there are in Scotland.

5. Donald Duck comics were banned from libraries in Finland because he doesn't wear pants.

6. Sigmund Freud had an intense fear of ferns.

7. Charlie Chapman once entered a "Charlie Chapman Look-alike" contest while visiting Monte Carlo, and did not win- he only placed third. (heh... reminds me of when I showed a pic of me and my sis when we were little, everyone said that my sis looked more like me than I do.)
